So Carlos Silva said they aren't firm on Thursday Night. No shit they aren't. They'll go wherever the money is. If the money says "Go on Wednesday night" then guess what they going Wednesday Night. These people aren't stupid they know it isn't ideal, but if your options are stay on you shit channel for free or get $10M a year and a lesser night I got breaking news for you you're moving to the lesser night.

What day should TNA move to? Somebody please tell me. They should move to Monday and compete with RAW? Tuesday and compete with the show in which they have a talent exchange? Friday and compete with Smackdown? Saturday and Collision?.... Oh wait speaking of Collision...

How many times has Collision moved to Thursdays to blatantly compete with TNA and no one complains that AEW is put them out of business? Hell they'll likely make that move permanent soon as Saturdays are not a good night for TV rasslin. If TNA stays on Thursday and AEW moves permanently to Thursday Lord knows there's no outcry. Double standards are kinda weird.

I just don't understand the logic or reasoning behind this either. It's like WWE and AEW swapped brains. Cause at first AEW was taking a lot of swipes and digs at WWE. But this year AEW shifted more to focus on themselves and its greatly approved the product. WWE now takes every chance it can to fuck on AEW, and its hurting the product tbh. Just wild to see.

1- they already have a night. This is a bit aggressive and defensive. Why do you feel so strongly about corporations making money?
2- acting like collision moved to counter program TNA is very strange . Most of the time it's due to sports or WWE having a ppv. Why are you trying to spin this as TNA being a victim ?
3- there's been zero talk of collision moving. Why are you trying to use fictional whaboutism to defend blatant monopoly attempts .

I say this with love but wake the fuck up man. Stop being a pawn.

I understand that, and even then I been kinda annoyed when it happens. Surely when I was trying to watch TNA also. But I feel it's a slight difference between moving because of stuff out of your control (most of the time it was because sports being on in the time slot Collision would be) and just being their permanently. Cause I turn the question back to you. When Basketball, or NASCAR was on Saturday in their slot, what was they to do? Like I understand what you are saying. But you have to see the difference between moving a night because you got bumped, to doing it deliberately to take eyes from AEW if that's indeed is what's happening.

I feel fucking horrible for TNA fans being dragged as meat shields to.trynand hurt the competition while WWE continues to strip it's best talent at a discount.

What is even the identity of TNA other than vassal state ?
TNA at this point is the Ireland to WWE's British Empire. All too happy to exploit their services and resources for money and personal gain, but more than willing to sacrifice them for being "inferior".

I do not disagree with what you're saying here.

WWE has taken more digs at AEW after AEW spent YEARS doing it first.

But it's not like the digs they took made the product worse. None of the digs at AEW have happened on WWE TV. It's more in interviews and such.

I just meant more so its weird how it happened. Not that it's why its worse(at least imo yours probably varies and that's fine) because of the shots

It's pretty wild to see the brainwashing completed and in action. Ready to vitriolicly and aggressively defend every and any scummy business tactic. The Maga tactic does work Holy shit

1. I mean I'm in favor of a product I enjoy (TNA) making a big TV deal to keep the business viable so it doesn't go under.
2. TNA was a victim. Even if AEW had a reason to move to Thursday they were still a victim. If you swerve (While You Drive) because of a little baby sitting in the road, and while doing that hit oncoming traffic, that oncoming traffic is still a victim.
3. They were on Saturday because TNT had NBA on Thursday. No more NBA on TNT (which sucks for NBA fans) and they actually now have a College Football package. That begins on Saturday August 30th. I think it may just be late night games but it could very easily be games they wanna air in Prime Time.

And everyone else is being an AEW pawn here too. Oh shit something potentially really good for TNA is about to happen, lets shit on WWE because of it.

We are all pawns. Hell we're not even Pawns we aren't even worthy of being on the chessboard.

Actually they could have moved Collision to Tru TV. Or another one of WBDs channels.

Similarly, WWE had been preempted for the past number of years for multiple things. The Olympics (Raw moved to SyFy), World Series or other Fox sporting events (Smackdown moved to FS1). They didn't move off their day. I cannot recall the last time they moved days. Hell it may have been the 90s with "Thursday Raw Thursday."

Also, NXT aired on Wednesdays until AEW debuted and no one complained that AEW was trying to kill NXT by INTENTIONALLY competing with them. Then NXT was forced to change days.

I'm sorry for not being a Socialist.

It's not a scummy business practice to improve your own business.

Look TNA is doing what they need to do to survive.

I'm not a brainwashed idiot to think that they want to intentionally go up against AEWs top show. I'm smart enough to know that TNA wants to get paid for making their TV show and if a network says do it Wednesday they'll do it Wednesday.

I don't believe everything I read on the Internet. I suggest that everyone else does the same.

Just because Dave Meltzer says that WWE is forcing TNA to move to Wednesdays just to compete with AEW doesn't mean that that is actually why something is happening. The article itself says Carlos Silva said he isn't locked on Thursdays. Why? Because that will get his company a better deal.

TNA competing with AEW is a bad business decision by any metric though. Having their own primary day on Thursday gives them the best shot to have the most viewers that they can (which theoretically improves their leverage in future negotiations).

If TNA does move to Wednesdays and it fails spectacularly, why would the broadcaster want to bring them back for a second contract?

Short-term gains and potentially long-term disaster.

I'm thinking Turner didn't want to compete with themselves. Wrestling on one channel, NASCAR or Basketball on the other channel. So they decided to just move the nights. Fox or NBCU was fine with competing with each other, but I mean Turner isn't.

I'll give you the AEW NXT one. But even then whatever day they picked besides at that point Saturday was taken pretty much. But this a much stronger point than the other one. So I can give you the win on AEW picking Wednesday. But Turner choosing to move them to Thursday to not take views away from either event i can't really give you that one.
