The Wrestling Smarks forum Top 100 Television Shows Poll 2011!

Because everyone loves a good poll, now don't worry I am not asking you to list a 100 shows each, but to make a list of around twenty shows, and give each one points between 20 and 1, so for example your number one show would have twenty points and the twentieth show one point.

There are no real restrictions from the type of shows you can select, it can be anything from a drama series or Sitcom to a Sports Show [even something like Raw since this is a wrestling forum, and that is a tv show], Cartoon's such as the Simpson or South Park, and topical quiz shows like for example Never Mind the Buzzcocks. The only real restriction is that it must be something that has aired by the time this poll goes out, in fact providing it has finished and you get it in as a part of your list by the deadline for entries then it will count, so for example something Exile which has just been on or Bored To Death would be alright. Anyway you can edit you final lists anytime up until the deadline, which I think I will make about late July or early August to give people plenty of time. I will count up the votes and then compile the top 100 list not long after that and you can even add reviews on certain shows if you want. So please do vote in your numbers and make this a sucess as I plan on running other polls on other subjects in the future. I look forward to debating peoples choices and the final list in months to come, and provided things go well, will make this a yearly thing. Just one more thing you can even PM me your lists, or just post them in this thread.

Very tough to rank my top 20 favourite shows. A lot of them are current but there are a few classics in there like The Cosby Show, Murder She Wrote, Tintin, Get Smart and of course Fawlty Towers.

A very deverse list there Troy, some I real like, and others not, I guess you have a slightly more trashy TV taste than me: Good call on The Cosby Show, Monk and TinTin [an old favourite of mine].

As for some of Scott's choices Have to say Scrubs is one of the most overrated shows, ever and I would maybe say the same about Frazier, on the other hand Two and Half Men I can't stand, but there you areanda:

Any fans of Buffy, for whatever reason I never bothered with the show at the time,
maybe because it was aimed at a more teenage audience, or maybe it just didn't seem like my kind of thing at the time. But having seen it recently I am becoming a big fan of it, I love the touqe in cheek, post modern humour, the characters are really devolped, the effects are great, and of course SMG as Buffy is a joy! I maybe expect this show to pop up in a few peoples lists.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I can't commit on your shows Keith I never heard of half of them. I never got into 1 hours shows much though.

I am more into comedies than anything else so there are a few trashy shows on there.

The issue for me as well is that there are some shows that I used to like at the beginning but then just never cared for. The multiple Law & Orders and CSIs are great examples of this. Early on I was big fans of Criminal Intent and SVU plus the original CSI but they just became too repetitive over time and so don't make my list.

Think I can see your point, although I am not really into those shows to start of with, but I can watch them for a bit of fun, my trashy TV fix is normally provided with the likes of Melrose Place [the origanal series], the Practice and Dawson's Creek, shows which still have well written characters, and solid stories, but are very thrown away also. Hell I even watched Greys Antomy for a season, now that is tragic!

Come on lets have more, need at least four or five people to make this poll worth while!
