Both these guys come to fight every night, this could end up going all five rounds. I don't think it will, but it;s got the potential.

5 rounds right? Wonder who has the cardio advantage.

Ellenberger dropped him early, he needs to be careful though Kampmann is a beast with submissions.

In terms of cardio, it's just about equal.

Great recovery/and defense from Kampmann. Could of been finished there.

Kampmann could of pulled out a submission there too though. Very risky by Ellenberger to go down on him.

Ellenberger isn't fighting very smart, i would not want to grapple with Kampmann.

What a horrible fucking stoppage.

Steve Mazzagatti can fuck right off, he has no business being a ref.

If it was against anybody else, I'd be even more pissed but Kampmann is pretty awesome I just really wanted Jake to win this fight.

Yeah I have to admit that was a shit call, and it could have been a better fight if it wasn't stopped but good that Kampmann won.

Dana doesn't seem too happy either:

Whatever though, Kampmann vs. Johnny Hendricks is the fight to make next. Winner gets a title shot.

Hmm, thinking about the decision again it seemed like Jake wasn't even coherent for awhile after Mazzagatti stepped in. Over and done, it seemed like a fast stoppage but he was finished. But then again, why didn't Mazzagatti stop it when Ellenberger did just about the same to Kampmann in the first round?

Because he's a complete moron. I'm not trying to take anything away from Kampmann because he's damn good. And like you said it was likely over regardless, but nobody will ever know now if Jake would've recovered and got a submission attempt or something while on the ground. It was just wayyy to fast of a stoppage.

Here's the fight night bounuses

Justin Lawrence picked up an extra $80,000 for his efforts at The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale Friday night. Lawrence was awarded the co-Knockout of the Night honors and secured Fight of the Night honors, as well.

Lawrence and John Cofer each were part of the top fight, as announced by UFC president Dana White. Lawrence earned the victory over Cofer.

Martin Kampmann, who delivered a pair of vicious knees that dropped Jake Ellenberger in the main event, was also honored with Knockout of the Night.

Michael Chiesa scored Submission of the Night after defeating Al Iaquinta n the finals of TUF.
