Wade Keller and Bruce Mitchell had quite the enlightening conversation about the New Day's current gimmick, with Mitchell citing past racist culture to explain why the pancakes are a juxtaposition for a publicly traded company that paints itself as celebrating MLK and Black History Month.

Bruce Mitchell compares the new day's pancake gimmick to the book called Little Black Sambo.

Or it could just be that they use cereal and shoving and throwing that at people would just make a mess (not to mention they want to see the product) so they use another breakfast food that isn't as messy or sticky, easier to clean up, and funnier. Do you really think any of them would go along with it if it was truly racist? Come on now.

Where yo' grandma stay.
I mean WWE has had their history of racism throughout their 50+ years so I really wouldn't put it past them. However, I don't think WWE pays that much attention to shit like that and the New Day probably pitched it themselves. I highly doubt any of the 3 knew anything about this old ass children's book, I think it might just be a unfortunate coincidence.

A lot of businesses have had issues with racism if they have been around for 50+ years, WWE isn't the only one.
And you are right, the New Day probably did pitch it themselves. Food has been used in comedy for a long, long time.

Lol come on. It's pancakes. They already have cereal. It's all breakfast food. If they came out with chicken and waffles that may be another story...

I just wish their humor would improve.. I'm sorry, i just don't find throwing pancakes to be funny.. It seems people like them because they're 3 guys who seem like they're having a great time, but i don't see anyone finding this funny, unless you're a small kid.

They just did this once the rock called John Cena a box of fruity pebbles, bashing the Shit out of him. Then, Cena was all over fruity pebbles and WWE banked on it. Did that mean WWE was being racist again whites? No. Food sells, and depending on the gimmick, it sells even more.

This is one of the silliest things I have heard.

I've read the book before. It's odd because the actual book is about a kid from India. It's only in certain counterfeit editions that Sambo takes on racist stereotypes against blacks in the illustrations. However, Sambo gets pancakes at the end of the book after he survives an encounter with some tigers (who turn to butter for some reason).

It is a stretch to take that and say the New Day doing shit with pancakes has anything to do with this book. In fact, it's one of the biggest stretches I have ever heard. And I doubt the New Day would go along with it even if it were.

Its the most dumbest things i've ever heard of "Oh its racist cuz of pancakes". Really? Same thing when Titus got suspended now its seeped out oh might be racist. *Face palms*

There is real racism out there that should be erased but no lets pick on fucking pancakes. And besides its funny because its pancakes being thrown at people its silly but whatever

My inside reports have also reported to me that reports are that when The New Day wins a championship, it's actually just the company being racist.

Because, you see, my insider reporters have told me those within WWE believe that black people steal things.

Gold is a thing.

WWE calls their belts "championship gold" from time to time.

So, it's racist.

Case closed.

Here, let's discuss this fake racism story so we can poke fingers at someone being racist so we can suck our own dicks for being people to point out racism.

Fuck off. Not everything that deals with race is racist. Jesus Christ.
