Supernatural gimmicks are fine. Wrestlers are no different than actors and superheroes in movies. Yet people want to make wrestlers to be as reality based as possible even to the point of assuming that wrestlers shouldn't have standards to meet as the actors that they are. Hulk Hogan was pretty much a superhuman that can tolerate a ridiculous amount of pain, Undertaker resurrected from the ashes after being burned alive, Fiend teleporting and doing the same shit as Taker etc. It's all the same shit and it's never gonna change.
The problem with a character like Bray is there no creativity behind it. People shit on Bray for being a poor ring worker when he is one of the best mic workers in the company, but yet people shit on his mic skills and his level of charisma too. He wouldn't be put in positions where he's feuding with top stars like Cena and Orton if he was shit and unover. It'd be nice if Bray was given good material instead of these garbage, childish abysmal stuff like the Firefly funhouse.
