No fucking doubt about it. That feud would fucking be amazing and you have history there from both the elite but also his previous stuff with Kenny Omega that both of them share so there’s a lot good stuff to play with there and then just their evolutions since they’ve departed in 2022. 2025 Cody and hangman would be complete foils.

Even though in 2025 WWE, I think turning Cody would be the biggest mistake of all time. I do think if he had turned heel in AEW and reneged on his world title promise and then basically tried to bury the entire company as champion would’ve been amazing.

I mean, you could’ve reignited the Kenny Omega and Cody feud from ROH and do it on the grandest stage of AEW and it would just sell the pay-per-views itself. The Elite trying to stop the monster that they created would’ve been gold.
