I wasn’t familiar with The Goats before this but this was pretty solid. I dug the beats a lot and I like that the album tells a story with skits. I can also hear the Beastie comparisons, Typical American was the standout track for me.

B rating from me.

I thought typical American was an early peak and nothing really lived up to that after but still a solid full album the rest of the way

I’d agree it being the peak but there’s not any song I’d say is bad

My first contribution will be American. I'll save the British one for a future lecture

I had a good time chilling and listening to this album. It's amazing an album this well produced and this lyrically dense exists out there on Spotify and the group is getting like less than 10,000 listeners monthly. Wild. It would seem at the time that their name was a little more widespread but I read about how they ended up disbanding, essentially right after this album. Crazy to think what coulda been because I found their music to be on par with other popular groups of the time. The one dude sounded like he shoulda been in Tribe but the album as a whole gave me a little more Public Enemy vibes. I think I liked Oatie most out of all the members on first listen. My favorite songs were probably Typical American (for the beat especially), Do The Digs Dug, TV Cops and Burn The Flag.

Glad everyone seemed to dig it. Really is to bad they didn’t last long but I’d definitely love to see what an album from them in this climate would sound like.
@Just Juice you are up to share your album

My pick is an album that is filled with nostalgia. When I first got into music in high school, I was more into Dance Music and Grime. However, from memory this was the first American Hip Hop album that I remember listening too after being given a burned CD by a friend and adding it to my iPod very soon afterwards. I remember it being a complete new sound to my ears. Like an awakening,
