Well, I'd say Adele is not that generic and she is definitely above most other pop singers of the last 20 years, but I'd still say you didn't miss anything if you never heard anything from her.

C. I'm too busy discovering bands/performers that I've missed...so I tend to go backwards in time, rather than forward.

well that's even more exciting. I like a lot of their songs but I never deep dived into any record of theirs, didnt see a lot of songs i recognized either so ya. yay! new experiences

sometimes I love them, sometimes I hate them. I have to be in the mood for his voice. Fantastic songwriter/storyteller
