The music I picked is:
1. First song you bought
U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me. Went to the shop wanting that song from the Batman movie (Seal's "Kissed By A Rose" BTW), picked up the cassette with Batman on, popped it in the hi-fi and realised I bought the wrong song
: Still, decent enough first record.
2. The song that always gets you dancing
Example - Kickstarts. This came out at the height of my Saturday nights in town period. My mate is a big fan of the artist in question, leading to this song being requested at bars repeatedly.
3. The song that takes you back to your childhood
S Club 7 - Bring It All Back. I remember watching the TV series that got this band off the ground religiously when it was on. I'd totally mark for a reunion tour.
4. Your perfect love song
Shinedown - If You Only Knew. 3rd most played song on my iTunes account, just seems to connect with me.
5. The song you'd want to play at your funeral
Alter Bridge - In Loving Memory. A song about the lead guitarists mother dying, probably the choice of several rockers around the world.
6. The encore, the one song that makes you, you.
Jason Mraz - The Remedy (I Won't Worry). "I won't worry my life away". Why the fuck worry over shit you can't control. Get back up, deal with it and keep moving along. Goes perfectly with a favourite quote of mine; "Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional".
