People say Ambrose is the leader because they're Ambrose marks. Especially Cornwall fags. Plus the fact that he's the mouthpiece sort of gives that impression I guess.

Lol fuck you.

Shield has no leader and shouldn't. As for their role at WM, I probably think it will be the start of the groups demise. A group being on top for too long can get stale anyway, and splitting them up means Ambrose will get that heel push and likely feud against face Rollins.

But it's simply hard to predict as none of us have any idea where the WWE title story is going. We pretty much know Rock is going to take it at the Rumble, but will his feud with Punk last until Wrestlemania or will he face Cena? Since I still think Shield/Punk are aligned I'm guessing we will see Punk/The Shield vs Ryback & Friends or something silly.

No way does Rock/Punk continue to Wrestlemania. Unless they do Rock/Brock (in which case, Rock doesn't win the belt), then Rock and Cena are sure to end up in the ring again. I can see why, considering how big of a draw their last match was.

Rock/Cena can happen without Rock winning the belt, that's if Cena interrupts and costs Rock but that's getting more unlikely. Yeah I don't think Rock/Punk is happening either, it's just one theory, they have a lot of faith in Punk it seems.

I'd rather Rock/Cena for the belt since it takes their rematch to the next level, and puts the belt in the main event.

Neither does Taker/Punk. Those are pretty much the only options left for a WWE Title match. Punk/Ryback Part IV would be boring and has no chance of happening.

Wouldn't want Taker/Punk to have it either. I think Punk/Ryback is more realistic than you think. Would you have said Miz/Cena had a real chance of happening with Miz going over?

If they were gonna do Ryback/Punk, they wouldn't do it on the New Year's Raw (unless they change up before then, which I seriously doubt since it was even booked for TLC before Punk's injury.) The Miz/Cena match didn't surprise me as soon as Miz won the belt. Crappy main event, but what else was there to do? The build up that year was all focused on Rock/Cena anyway so it didn't matter. People remember Rock costing Cena a title match more than they do that Miz was the one who retained.

And why not? The only way to keep Punk as champion but still have your future super face look good is dirty endings, which we all know mean the feud isn't going to end. We are still yet to see the obvious alignment of Punk/Maddox/Shield be confirmed. I think it's definitely a realistic possibility at least. I still personally think Punk/Taker are going to go at it since Punk has nothing meaningful left to do as their #2 guy when Cena and Rock are feuding.

Because by then, that's three times Ryback fails to capture the gold. No matter how many dirty endings you do, people are gonna grow tired of Ryback not winning the belt and some of them might give up on him entirely (he isn't even extremely over yet and still a bit green in the ring, so I'm not sure he should win any world title yet anyway.)

Agreed about The Shield not having a leader. It's why I'm against them adding another member because they work best as just a trio of guys doing their thing. I do think the reason people see Ambrose as the 'leader' though is because so many of us see him as the most likely biggest breakout star of the group and clearly the closest to having the total package out of all three guys in the group.

I like the idea of the eight man tag match. Someone on another forum suggested the idea of The Shield vs Undertaker but I don't really like the outcome either way. Taker beating three guys or three guys breaking the streak.

Hmm, that's true. When I thought about that match it was with the thought in mind that around Mania time nobody is as good as Taker (kayfabe wise) but putting it bluntly like that, I definitely see the problem. However, my idea has it being a no DQ match, so the finish could always see interference during the match from people The Shield have wrong before, Kane jump immediately to mind. The interference would be more for Taker being able to regroup and hit a tombstone while the others are occupied with say Kane. Kind of the same thing we saw at WrestleMania XIX. Would be a good WrestleMania moment to see Taker win against The Shield and some of their victims getting revenge.

Anyway, to me the main reason I want it is, it does help new people, it will definitely be perceived as a threat to the streak to the casuals, and personally I don't want to see Taker/Brock or Taker/Punk. Taker/Brock because I can't see them topping their HIAC bout so I'd rather not have them waste one of their matches trying. And Taker/Punk, despite being one of my first dream matches (got into this in 2006, took to Punk and Taker real quickly), I was really soured on the idea after their horrendous feud over the WHC back in 09.

I sincerely doubt Ryback is doing anything overly-relevant at Mania.. let alone feuding for the belt and/or w/ Punk.

Maybe I'm wrong and WWE is actually going 100% Batista-level push with the guy. I hope not. And for God's sake if Ryback wins the belt I may have to take another WWE hiatus
