THE SAINT PATRICK’S DAY SMASH
AN IRISH SPRING BREAK
LIVE FROM
Panama City Beach, FL | Club La Vela
We open cold on Shinzo who is being interviewed by Mona Darling backstage in a more formal setting.
Mona Darling: Shinzo, first of all congratulations on winning and becoming the inaugural AMA Grand Champion! Can you tell us a little bit how you feel and how you got here?
The crowd roars in the background as Shinzo is now on screen, AMA Title shining bright on his right shoulder.
Shinzo Omega: Mona, I’ve made no secret about my intentions when I made my debut in AMA, and that was to not only be the best wrestler in this company, but to carry it on my shoulders by becoming the first man to raise this title high above my head. It wasn’t an easy path and I surely did stumble along the way, finding a way to temper this righteous rage inside of me into a driving force that no one could stop or deny. I’m feeling damn good right now, I’m not going to lie about that. But the work is just beginning.
Shinzo Omega: It all started with The Hamad Agency and of course, my biggest obstacle to begin my journey, Pariah. I bled and suffered at the hands of that behemoth, but not once did I stay down. I promised everyone that at the end of the day, Shinzo Omega would destroy the Agency and to a degree, I did that. Pariah is out of the picture, gone for good, hopefully, and my good friend Hamad himself? Well he seems to be lost now doesn’t he. I do love it when bad things happen to horrible people, don’t you? Karma, one may say.
Mona Darling: But The Agency still seems to be reshaping into something else now. How do you plan on dealing with the fallout, as well as Max Maverick and Christopher McMichael taking over?
Shinzo Omega: You’re right, there’s a lot of work still to be done and quite a few people I’d still like to get my hands on. Max and Chris definitely being two of them, albeit I can’t see why Max would want to face me again after I turned his lights out during our Championship bout. If he wants to fight, he knows where to find me. And speaking of unfinished business: Norman, I know your watching and hanging around some men of dubious reputations. I haven’t forgotten about you, or your little hit job you tried to pull on my knee. I’ll be seeing you, real soon, The End comes for us all!
Mona Darling: That’s all we have time for now, thanks for sitting down!
We cut over to the Northern Touch’s personal locker room.
Bobby Tremblay adjusts his rose glasses and addresses his two protégé with a somber but serious tone.
Bobby Tremblay: Alright guys listen, we need to clear the air about this entire Hamad Agency biz, alright? Here’s the deal. I was planning a union between myself and Mr. Hamad to bring both our forces together to dominate the landscape in AMA.
Don audibly scoffs.
Bobby Tremblay: Now listen I know that wasn’t your jam, Donny, but it was a good deal for us short term and maybe long term. They weren’t interested in the same titles we are, and we had some extra muscle for when we have to deal with…problems. The only problem was getting their ranks in line but our recent run ins and now Pariah out of commission. Well I’ll be straight, the plan is fucked and doesn’t benefit us any longer.
Don Marshall: So what now?
Bobby Tremblay: I want to put this shit behind us boys. I tried to get him to see reason, had them on board, but they fucked it up themselves. What can you do? We go back to what we do best, and that’s making an impact and making sure everyone remembers us.
Jean-Louis Gagnon: Damn straight bud.
Don Marshall: That’s what I want to hear. Let’s start with tonight, back to what we came here for. And that’s destroy with style.
Jean-Louis Gagnon: Let’s fucking get it
They all shake hands and do the Northern Touch hand signal.
Opening the pre-show, we start with a video package, showing a packed Irish pub. The wooden walls are adorned with green as streamers of green are all over the walls and the patrons are decked out in green. St Patrick's day music is blaring through the speakers making a cacophony of noise. Near the bar we see AMA’s promoter, Oliver Thawne, with a suit, a green tie, and a Shamrock lea around his neck, having a pint of Guinness. He takes a sip and tips his glass to the camera.
Oliver Thawne: Top of’ the evening wrestling fans. It is that time of the year where the luck of the Irish shines down on us all. A perfect time to raise a glass, wear some green, and spend time with the lads and lasses. That theme, luck, sometimes can be the biggest factor beyond skill in the ring…
And the video plays back a quote from one of the people in tonight’s main event, Christopher McMichaels…
“Luck is a good asset! That is what helps you in wrestling. Luck, taking advantage of it or turning back luck around.”
Leaning on the bar counter, Oliver continues.
Oliver Thawne: You have to be thankful for your luck, be thankful for your friends, family, for those who are Irish, their heritage. But this isn’t an ordinary St. Paddy’s day. Because we are in Panama, City, Florida at Club La Vela at Spring Break. So…. narrator, let’s get into the right mood, shall we?
At a snap of the fingers, we are “transported” to the beach in the evening where there is a party going on. The orange glow of the sun hitting the beach.
Tiki huts are up with a mix of tropical colours and St Patrick’s Day green. People are in Green swimwear and green hats, having a mix of Irish and tropical drinks. The waves are crashing on the beach as Oliver Thawne is lying on the beach in a lounge chair, he has swim trunks on and a t-shirt. On his table next to him is his Guinness from earlier and a margarita.
Oliver Thawne: Ah, that’s better. AMA wrestling is here to bring a party unlike no other. A venue with a history in wrestling being revived with AMA wrestling to bring a splash of red to the green… And luck better be on these people’s side.
And in the background… the music fades as we see highlights of AMA wrestlers. First, Shinzo Omega, winning the AMA Grand Championship and then the aftermath of the main event, with Max Maverick, Christopher McMichaels, and Pariah making chaos with Sawyer Xavier attempting a save before the duo of Max Maverick and Christopher McMichaels stand tall after turning their back on Pariah.
Then, a match of two relative newcomers, we see Cali Hayama standing tall after the Bunkhouse Stampede, even footage of her climbing the cage and holding up her “M” hand gesture. Then, of Marquise shaking hands with her afterwards, setting forward the match. Fading in the background is Christopher McMichaels, trying to get in Cali’s ear, and footage from Cali’s charity stream where the two future opponents are laughing, before Cali gives a small… glare.
Following on from that, we see Daniel Christian doing the seemingly impossible and eliminating the monster, Norman Namatijara from the Bunkhouse Stampede. Daniel then meets with Buffalo in the back while being checked up, shaking hands with him, and calling out Norman… resulting in a flashing fireball.
Afterwards, we see a playback of two promos from newcomers, Chase Speed, with the Hollywood sign, and Reina La Vega, a mysterious new luchadora.
We get a flashback of Brian Zewbowski falling to Shinzo Omega in the semifinals, looking crushed. An image is almost transparent in the background, showing footage back from Rush Hour, him meeting with Princess Nova. Then, we see Aka Yurei putting her war paint on. Liberty Olivera Lawrenson tapping out her now tag partner, Tetsuo Ishii instantly, along with footage of her showing herself the star, and Liberty the wrestler.
Then, going back, we see Monstruo del Circo in his violent match against Justice and Brandon Roberts in the Full Metal Mayhem. The two international stars, showing their ability to withstand and give punishment.
Then a giggle, the giggle of Princess Nova. We see The Residence not just dominating Belly Boy and Burgerman, but eliminating Malice, before they have a personal attack against them. In response, they go to their Shrine and attack them, with Eden’s impactful stomp echoing. TORN appears over and over on the screen as Slate Bass gives his own “sermon” in almost a twisted parody of Malice.
Before we fade to the Bordeaux’s besting The Residence with Bret making Slate Bass pass out to the Humbler. Northern Touch comes in, riding high, throwing poor Trixie around, her showing flashes of brilliance, her potential, but getting squashed out before finally, a jackknife pin turns the side and a win. Northern Touch’s attack in the medical room plays along with footage of them training, trying to refind that violent side. Then Bret and Trixie meeting, trying to reassure Bellatrix.
We hear Oliver’s voice one more time as the footage rewinds at high speed, ending with Shinzo Omega holding up the AMA Grand Championship.
Oliver Thawne: Tonight's not gonna just be one big a party. Oh no! We're going to have some really big matches with real stakes! The very best tag teams AMA has to offer will square off to see who gets a shot at the Lethal Lockup!
Two gorgoeus women in bikini tops amd sarong hip wraps hold up two brand new newly minted championship belts and show them off.
Oliver Thawne: Welcome to the St. Patrick’s Day Smash!
As the AMA promoter’s words echo, we are at Club La Vela! The famous set up is here with the fans packed around the pool, wrapping around the ring which is floating in the middle of it with a proper “ringside” area. The ropes are green to fit with the St Patrick’s Day vibes. The camera pans around at the rowdy Spring breakers with the famous pointed roof with “Club La Vela” in a new sign completely renovated. There is a rampway leading up to a stage that has a video screen on both sides of an entrance-way that shoots some pyro above it. To one side we see the commentary table where both Pierce Donovan and Jasper Phoenix are there wearing some green laes with a St Patrick’s Day style hat, and t-shirts and shorts.
Pierce Donovan: We’re here live at the Spring Break capital of the world and a unique venue in the history of wrestling, Club La Vela, returning to glory after damage from a hurricane in 2018! St. Patrick’s Day Smash is here! I’m Pierce Donovan alongside my colleague, Jasper Phoenix, and holla holla, the Lethal Lottery tag tournament is beginning!
Jasper Phoenix: In our main event last show, Shinzo Omega came out on top becoming out inaugural AMA Grand Champion! But as we’re leading up to his first defense, we also have a lot of pairings on our roster, looking for supremacy, and it will lead to us crowning the first ever AMA Tag Team Champions!
Jasper Phoenix: Also as part of the Lethal Lottery, Brian Zewbowski looks to bounce back after his narrow loss to Shinzo Omega as he teams with Aka Yurei against the unique pairing of Tetsuo Ishii and number one contender to the AMA Grand Championship, Liberty Olivera Lawrenson.
Pierce Donovan: And two personal grudges, the Bordeaux’s, after having one of the most impressive AMA debuts we have seen, defying the odds and winning the tag team turmoil, they face off against the last eliminated team who fell back down to Earth in a fowl mood, the Northern Touch.
Jasper Phoenix: And in a battle of differing visions, Malice, after getting eliminated by Slate Bass and Princess Nova of The Residence, have upset the TORN family and they are out to show consequences have actions, and even have gotten on their bad side bringing up the name of the alter-ego of Brian Zewbowski that they worship, Humanity.
Pierce Donovan: And we still have singles matches ahead. We have Monstruo del Circo out for blood facing God’s Gift to Canada, Brandon Roberts. Daniel Christian is looking to avenge both Buffalo Jones and stand up to a monster in revenge for a fireball attack. He faces Norman Namatijara. Then, a battle of respect which may steal the show, the Bunkhouse Stampede winner, Cali Hayama looks to take things to the next-level as she faces off against “The Solution” Marquise Bridges.
Jasper Phoenix: Well, we ran down the card, so let’s get going with our opening contest!
Reina Vega v. Chase Speed
Nothin’ To Lose blasts out around Club La Vela as out from the back emerges one of AMA’s more recent signing Chase Speed who is beaming as he has a massive smile across his face and he looks like he couldn’t be in a better mood as he drops into a three point stance before winking at the camera and speeding down towards the ring, and slider underneath the ropes.
Reina de la Cruz: From the City of Angels, weighing 190lb, "The Breeze" CHASE SPEED!
Chase then walks over to the corner and clambers up onto the turnbuckle as he embraces the crowd's enthusiasm with open arms almost as if he were receiving a hug.
Pierce Donovan: Chase is a Young Gun who will be looking to prove himself tonight.
Jasper Phoenix: He can prove himself as much as he wants, but if you want me to pretend I care about a douche from California then you’ve got another thing coming. Dude is so cheesy, even his smile smells of Monterey Jack.
Pierce Donvoan: Come on now Jasper, play nice.
Jasper Phoenix: I was.
As the rocking beats of the entrance music start up, pyro shoots up from the entrance way. Green sparkling pyro then falls from the titantron (ala Randy Orton style). As the beat picks up, smoke fills the entrance way
Reina de la Cruz: Introducing, from Zihuatanejo, Mexico, La Hija Del Lobo, this...is....Reina Vega
As the guitar riff intensifies, Reina emerges from the smoke, her arms outstretched to her side. Her head is bowed down, and she gently lifts it up, taking in her surrounds
Pierce Donovan: Youthful, motivated, a fighting spirit like we've never seen before. Reina Vega, La Hija Del Lobo. It's time to brew some coffee folks, you're in for a treat
Reina gently jogs down to the ring, then slides under the bottom rope
Jasper Phoenix: Well at least she looks better than Chase Speed, but I didn’t realize this was happy hour. This match is looking more vanilla than the ice cream at the bottom of my freezer.
Reina and Chase approach each other in the middle of the ring, and although there is a clear language barrier they nod towards each other to show respect before bumping fists and smiling as the referee gives a command then calls for the bell.
If Chase had entered the match with an issue of battling against a woman, any doubts would end pretty quickly as he would receive an open hand shot to the chest right off the bat from Reina followed up by a chop to the mid-section and then another only for Chase to finally show some grit he would counter with a backhand chop of his own before both combatants would backward roll away from each other creating some separation as the crowd would applaud showing both wrestlers respect for their dynamic exits.
Pierce Donovan: Both Chase and Reina have a bit of brain there, and I have a feeling that these are two hot prospects that the rest of the roster are going to be forced to start taking seriously after this contest.
Jasper Phoenix: You can’t be serious? A sushi roll is more impressive than whatever that level one basic gymnastics was.
The energy between the pair is electric though as they surge forward toward each other, as Chase raise a side knee catching Reina in the chest causing her to buckle over only to lean forward into a forward roll and manges to get back to her feet as she leaps onto the middle rope and goes to connect with a jumping cutter only to Chase to count with an arm drag of his own as the two are quick up to their feet and are looking directly at each other trying to find a gap in the other’s defences. Speed shows his speed though as he attempts to connect with a superkick only for Reina to grab hold of Chase and with all her strength, spin him around on his axis before taking hold of Speed’s back and dropping him down onto the mat before hooking Chase’s leg for an early cover.
1
Shoulder up!
Jasper Phoenix: Well this Reina certainly has spirit, going for a finish so early on.
Pierce Donovan: La Hija Del Lobo is introducing herself to the AMA Universe tonight.
Jasper Phoenix: Translation as Sexy Bitch with a nice ass.
Pierce Donovan: Actually The Wolf’s Daughter you absolute pig.
Reina and Chase get back to their feet, but it looks like Reina has now been filled with confidence as she is smiling to herself and is clapping herself whilst looking directly at Speed. The door reach out their hand and lock up in a battle of strength, as they push each other back and forth with the aim of claiming a more dominant position as Chase force Reina downwards, only for the Mexicana to drop down onto her back and seesaw on it forcing Speed away from her with a double foot kick to the chest breaking his grip and forces Speed to bounce towards the ropes as he shows some athletic as he does an assisted backflip over the top rope and lands on a standing basis on the apron only to shoot himself back through the ropes with the Hard Force (Slingshot Spear) and out of nowhere attempts a cover of his own.

No!
Reina uses all her strength and instead cradles Speed over into a cover of her own.
1
2
No!
Speed counters and cradles the pin to his advantage again.

Kickout!
Reina uses all her strength and breaks free of the pin before making sure to roll away from Chase in order to create some separation and allow her to recompose herself.
Pierce Donovan: A great back and forth between Reina and Chase there, with The Breeze showing his wrestling brain in the manner he managed to exit the ring and set up for his version of the slingshot spear. That was mighty impressive.
Jasper Phoenix: It would have been more impressive, if he had actually been able to end the match. Folks getting far too excited about some basic wrestling that you can see every single night in Tijuana or whatever other back hole in Mexico you find yourself in.
Chase is eager to follow up though and as he shouts out loud “It is time to feel the breeze” that can be heard quite clearly in what is a smaller and more personal location before charging forward and running at Reina, who shows her intelligence as she catches Speed off guard with a perfectly targeted dropkick to his knee causing him to tumble to the mat before using all her strength to lift herself up onto the top of the nearest corner turnbuckle as she doesn’t take anytime at all in composing herself and instead launches off and crashes down on top of Speed with the Muerte Desde Arriba (her version of the 450 Splash). Rather than go for the cover though, Reina climbs up onto the turnbuckle and looks as if she is setting up to hit the move again only for Chase to show some intelligence of his own as he rolls underneath the bottom rope and out of the ring.
Pierce Donovan: Chase lives to fight another day.
Jasper Phoenix: Don’t speak to Pierce soon.
Reina is quick to change her position though, as she launches off the turnbuckle now at a much greater height as she connects with a Flying Forearm completely taking Speed down to the mat, but rather than feeling the bump from the impact Reina only seems to be motivated with a clear adrenaline rush bursting through her veins as she forced Chase back up to his feet only to send him crashing back down onto the hard floor outside of the ring with the Del Lobo Slam. Rather than leaving him where he sits though, she drags speed up and rolls him underneath the ropes and back into the ring before following suit and going for the cover.

Reina de la Cruz: The winner of the match…Reina Vega!
In a pre-taped video promo Shabazz Hamad is looking out the window of his swanky gold trimmed office on the top floor of the prestigious Hamad Agency headquarters, scanning the dimly light streets below him, a large glass of designer Cognac swirling in his hand. He stands there pensive for a brief time before turning around slowly, showing off an elegant 3 piece suit as he unbuttons his jacket before taking a seat in an imposing leather chair facing his mahogany desk. He adjusts his bowtie slowly before clearing his throat.
Shabazz Hamad: It’s no secret that things haven’t gone as I envisioned them and that has caused me to have to pause and reflect upon what it is I truly desire in this world. There was a time where Pariah and myself entered the AMA landscape with such an explosive impact that we we’re the undeniable force that shook the foundation of this company to its core. We had the entire world in our hands and were on the verge of achieving greatness!
He slams his fist on the table abruptly.
Shabazz Hamad:But greatness was placed in the wrong things and Lord knows I have strayed from the path I was intended to pave. I was blinded by all of this
He points around everywhere in his lavish office.
Shabazz Hamad: My hubris convinced me that because my convictions were righteous, that I had not only earned by deserved all of these riches, these meaningless material things that brought us no closer to our goal and only blinded us from our true nature. And in my foolish reach for such greed I put trust in Max Maverick and Christopher McMichaels…
His face becomes somber as if something deep in him had disturbed him.
Shabazz Hamad: I put my trust in the untrustworthy, white trash devils when I swore I would never make that error. I betrayed my principals, my religion. And for that, I must not only live with the shame... But I must also live with the fact that I cost Pariah everything. Those two men took away everything from us, even our name. How poetically akin to our own history as Black men.
He shakes his head in disgust.
Shabazz Hamad: To add insult to injury, I should have known better than to trust another snake in Bobby Tremblay. It was his words that influenced me to ultimately accept Max and Christopher, and for that, he will never be forgiven. As far as I’m concerned, Mr. Tremblay has made an enemy for life and orchestrated this entire coup. Mark my words Bobby: No Empire is Without Sin. The rivers of God will cleanse when the right time comes, and like the kingdoms of Sodom and Gamorrah thee too shall fall into the fits of Hell.
He readjust his bowtie and compose himself.
Shabazz Hamad: For the time being, Pariah and myself will be taking time to reflect. To grow as Black men who have sinned by turning their backs on their brothers. We will return to our roots and seek absolution for tainting our principles by the white man. Our Brothers will rise once again once the time comes. For now, I simply remind our enemies: Our Time is Coming.
He slowly sips on his cogan and shoos off the camera.
Brian Zewbowski is pacing around backstage, looking sullen and a little worn down after the events of the last major show. Bryce Montgomery enters and, holding a microphone in hand, taps Brian gently on the shoulder. Brian whips around in surprise and looks Bryce up and down before relaxing. It's almost as if he's been on edge ever since the loss.
Brian Zewbowski: Bryce, nice to see you as always.
Bryce Montgomery: Of course, Brian, it's a pleasure to see you too. I'm wondering if we can get to know what's running through your mind after that devastating Finals loss to Shinzo at Manifest Destiny.
Brian looks at Bryce and sighs, frowning and rolling his eyes before beginning to answer in earnest.
Brian Zewbowski: I'll be honest, Bryce. I'm hurt; to have gotten so close, and to have it all come crashing down... well it's never any fun, believe me. What hurt most was that I failed in front of my family, daughter, and everyone who believed in me. I suppose one could say my hubris caught up to me. I'm not disappointed in myself though, I had that match won, and it just wasn't in the cards I suppose.
Brian clenches his fists in frustration and shakes his head. It's noticeable that he's got a lot on his mind, and it seems that he feels offended over something.
Brian Zewbowski: Bryce, lemme tell ya: I shouldn't have lost that match, but I did. I suppose I can live with that, because I'm a man of my word, and I'm a company man first and foremost. I'll stand by this company and do what's right for the fans. So I'm going to say this once: Congrats, Shinzo. You're the champion of the world, but we'll see for how long. You and I are all good, I don't blame you for grabbing the brass ring and taking it when you were handed it. You're a damn fine wrestler and that belt sure looks good around you. I'm over this loss because sooner or later I'll get back in the win column. It doesn't matter if I was a better wrestler or not, or if things went against me, or if I was made a fool of by certain parties. That's all water under the bridge. I love the fans here, and I'm hoping they stand behind me all the way for what's coming. I'm focused on winning and making damn sure I get another shot at that belt. I intend on taking it though, Shinzo. So watch your back, brother.
After this, Brian pats Bryce on the back and walks off, smirking.
The main show opens to pyro as The Agency music hits and the boos roar on seeing Maverick and McMichaels walk down the ramp with a smug look on their faces. They taunt the crowd and slide into the ring, demanding a microphone.
Max Maverick: Shut the hell up you dumb hillbillies and let the real stars of the show talk!
Chants of you’re a loser starts for Max as he pretends to not be bothered.
Max Maverick: As I was saying, the real stars of AMA are here, so show some damn respect! Now some people might go on and say that we, I, didn’t win the title last show. But let’s be honest, the dark creepy sadist pervert Shinzo Omega only won because I had to have two matches that night. He’s a cheater, a weirdo, and quite frankly he’s a disgrace of a world champion!
Boos and chants of Shinzo start.
Christopher McMichaels: That’s right Max, he’s a loser and these mouthbreathers here just gobble it up don’t they? Bunch of sheep! But that’s not why we’re here is it Max?
Max Maverick: No it’s not Chris. We’re here to declare that this unit is not only here to stay, but it is stronger and better than it has ever been before!
Christopher McMichaels: Damn right!
Max Maverick: And what better way to celebrate our greatness than to enter ourselves in this fancy new Tag Team tournament and win it all with ease? Come on! It’s genius isn’t it! I’d like to see anyone try to even pose a challenge to us!
Christopher McMichaels: That’s right, without that fat loser Pariah weighing us down, there’s not a single person on this roster that can step up to us. They all fear us. Every single one!
Shinzo Omega music hits and interrupts them. Max and Chris look worried.
Shinzo, mic in hand: Well well well. Look who’s already talking a lot of shit ! Max I just beat your ass for this title right here, and you’re going around telling people no one is afraid of you? Nah, I don’t think I can just let that slide. Sounds like, I didn’t teach enough of a lesson last time and I need to put you out to pasture, permanently!
Max Maverick: Oh shut your damn mouth! You don’t have any friends here Shinzo, and you’re going to find out, real quick, how much a target that puts on your back!
Shinzo Omega: Oh see, that’s where you’re wrong. I already got someone in mind, so why don’t we get to punching your faces in, right here, right now!
Pierce Donovan: Even AMA Grand Champion, Shinzo Omega is in the Lethal Lottery, feeling it to be the best way to settle a score as Christopher McMichaels and Max Maverick, revealed their intentions.
Jasper Phoenix: He wants his hands on The Agency, could he have Sawyer Xavier at his side?
Pierce Donovan: He very well could be his pick, and be part of that tournament.
Going backstage, we see Bryce Montgomery in front of the interview area, he adjusts his tie as we see, next to him, everyone’s favourite Canadian prick, Brandon Roberts. He has a jacket on, very surprising considering where we are, and his long hair is in a ponytail. Upon seeing him, the fans boo. He has a big smirk on his face as Bryce speaks.
Bryce Montgomery: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, he is God’s Gift to Canada, please welcome, Brandon Roberts. Brandon, you specifically requested this time here, so I’m just going to ask outright, what’s on your mind?
He extends the microphone and Brandon speaks into it.
Brandon Roberts: Good, because like I have time to answer stupid questions, especially ones that are products of the American education system. But I’m in such a good mood, Bryce. I’m in a giving mood because I have had an epiphany. I have come to terms with the fact that I, Canada’s favourite son, am destined for so much more.
Pointing to the side, he adds.
Brandon Roberts: These fans are embracing me as their next superstar, the red and white hero to mix things up from the overused stars and stripes-
Correcting him, Bruce mentions.
Bryce Montgomery: Are you sure, Brandon? Maybe you’re a little hard at hearing, but the fans here are booing you-
Brandon Roberts: I’m not talking about these Spring break Yankees.
He cuts off Bryce.
Brandon Roberts: I’m talking beyond just AMA. Come on, the fans around the world have really embraced me. Have you been watching football? NASCAR? There’s a chant there which has caught like wildfire! Three words which echo in their love for me… “-Let’s go Brandon!” They love me!
Bryce rolls his eyes and even some fans audibly groan watching. Seeing this, Brandon taps his shoulder.
Brandon Roberts: Come on! What did I miss?
Sighing, Bryce tries to break the news.
Bryce Montgomery: Brandon, they aren’t chanting for you. I hate to break it to you, but it isn’t related to you at all. It’s actually-
Before he can explain to the Canadian, Brandon Roberts stops him.
Brandon Roberts: Come on, that isn’t true! I’m the most famous Brandon there is! At least most popular in Canada and America! So I, a polite and giving Canadian, am going to extend an olive branch to my dear American fans, while also making a small return. We have a shop on AMA’s website and there, you can purchase your very own…
Going to his jacket, he reveals a white t-shirt with a red maple leaf on it. Text on the front reads “Let’s go Brandon” in bold letters. Showing off his shirt, Brandon has a big grin as Bryce just facepalms.
Brandon Roberts: Let’s go Brandon t-shirt. All proceeds will go to me, and paying Monstruo del Circo’s hospital bills tonight after I prove to him why Canada is the best country in all of North America. So fans, tonight, when you are cheering me on… remember, “Let’s go Brandon,”
Bryce Montgomery: Well, uh, thank you for your time, Brandon?
Brandon Roberts: Oh, I almost forgot!
Brandon reaches into his jacket pocket and, wrapped with elastics, is another t-shirt. He takes the bands off and places it on Bryce’s head, with the maple leaf logo visible to the camera.
Brandon Roberts: Don’t worry, it’s extra large, just for you!
The self-proclaimed “God’s Gift to Canada,” walks off to the side and Bryce, takes the shirt off his head and mutters…
Bryce Montgomery: …But I’m a medium… Anyways, back to you, Peirce.
Brian and Aka are having a heated discussion backstage.
Brian Zewbowski: Aka, what the hell are you doing here, and why are you sticking your nose in my business? I had a chance at the biggest prize in my career!
Aka Yurei: Brian, I’m sorry, but the reality of the situation is I am being blackmailed by forces much more dangerous and nefarious that you could ever imagine.
Brian Zewbowski: Cut the crap, I know you are talking about the Yakuza.
AKA shushes him.
Aka Yurei: Not so loud, you never know where they can be snakes in the tall grass.
Suddenly, Tetsuo walks in. Aka and Brian put their backs up in defence.
Tetsuo Ishii: Relax, I’m not here to fight.
Brian Zewbowski: Why are you here, then. We don’t exactly have the best history Tetsuo…
Tetsuo Ishii: Listen Brian, I know this Liberty stuff looks bad but I was trying to get her title opportunity. It wasn’t personal between you and me. I’m looking out for my family, and I didn’t really have a choice in the matter. I obey or something bad happens.
Aka Yurei: Sounds like we may be involved with similar types of folks.
Tetsuo Ishii: Probably, they are certainly from Japan and gang connected. Though I have no idea what the hell their obsession with me or my daughter is. Point is, I’m Liberty’s slave now, so whatever happens next…Well, I’m sorry. Maybe there can be a time where we can work together to expose these jerks. But for now, I have to keep my daughter safe.
Brian Zewbowski: Sounds like a bunch of bullshit excuses to me.
Aka Yurei: Don’t be so quick to judge, Brian. These people, they know where to hit you where it hurts the most. They make people their slaves as a living. They can’t be underestimated. And frankly neither should Tetsuo here if he’s working for them, even indirectly.
They look up but Testsuo is already gone, somehow leaving without making a noise.
Aka Yurei: What a strange man…
Marquise Bridges v. Cali Hayama
Reina de la Cruz: The following match is a singles match scheduled for one fall!
Reina de la Cruz shouts out on the microphone causing a cheer from the Spring breakers here in attendance. She clears her throat as she announces from the ring in the pool.
Reina de la Cruz: Introducing fir-
Interrupting the announcement of the participants in the match is the music of The Blueblood himself, Christopher McMichaels. The fans jeer as he makes his way out, hair tied in a ponytail as he has a Hawaiian shirt on, sunglasses and a pair of shorts as he poses to the crowd on the stage.
Pierce Donovan: Now hold on, hold on. This is not Christopher’s scheduled match, folks. Don’t be confused! This is supposed to be the match between Cali Hayama and Marquise Bridges.
Jasper Phoenix: Come on now, Pierce, he is just here for scouting purposes! He must want to get a look at the future member of his group with Max Maverick!
After soaking up some attention, Christopher McDaniels walks towards the commentator’s table and Pierce Donovan rolls his eyes as he sees Christopher puts on a headset.
Pierce Donovan: Hold on, hold on. Christopher, you are not a commentator, and you have a match later tonight.
Christopher McMichaels: I know, I’m a busy man, but before Max and myself beat the AMA Grand Chumpion and his stupid friend, I need to do my scouting of my good friend, Cali Hayama!
Pierce Donovan: You’re not friends.
Jasper Phoenix: Not yet-
Christopher McMichaels: Exactly, and how can we become friends if I don’t get a close look at how she is between the ropes!
The smooth beats of “The Solution” by Abstract Rude and co plays as the crowd gives a respectable reaction to relative newcomer to AMA, making his one on one debut, Marquise Bridges. Making his way out wearing an open dark green button up shirt, a light green tank top under it, along with jeans and a pair of green and white sneakers. It's all green for St. Patty's Day! He nods his head to the music, adjusting his shirt and giving a big grin for the rowdy Spring breakers.
Reina de la Cruz: Introducing first, representing the “Building Bridges” program from Brooklyn, New York, weighing in at 167 lbs, open your hearts for “The Solution,” Marquise Bridges!
Walking down to the ring at a relatively brisk pace, Marquise Bridges takes a look at the unique venue we are in, glancing towards the commentators, he sees Christopher McMichaels there and shakes his head.
Pierce Donovan: Challenging Cali Hayama to this match after finishing second in the Bunkhouse Stampede, Marquise Bridges is looking for a straight up match just to showcase himself and his way of life.
Jasper Phoenix: But he chose the “Slayer-Queen” to do it against, not Twitch Streamer Cali Hayama. Marquise did well, but a singles match is a different beast.
Pierce Donovan: Speaking of, they did raise $10,000 dollars during a livestream for his organization.
Jasper Phoenix: But enough about us, Christopher, what are your thoughts on this man?
Christopher McMichaels: This guy has a total sob story. But I think he’s not a bad fighter. I saw the guy in the cage and Marcus can fight, but he’s got no sizzle. Max has it, I have it, and I think Cali has it.
At the end of the ramp, Marquise is able to get his smile back as the camera zooms in on him doing a wide grin, placing his hands over his heart. Marquise Bridges heads up the steps and walks across the apron, wiping off his shoes before stepping into the ring after doing a playful shimmy. The Solution walks in rhythm to his music before removing his button up shirt and folding it up, he hands it to the official before heading to his corner as his catchy theme fades away.
Drawing a reaction which is perhaps a touch stronger thanks to her experience and victory at Manifest Destiny, the theme music of Cali Hayama plays as the lights flash neon colours in tune with the music. “You blocked me on Facebook, and now you’re going to die,” and Cali Hayama makes her way out in her usual black and neon gear and has a MAYHEM hoodie on, unzipped with the hood up. She hops in place before kneeling down in a superhero-like pose. Holding her finger up like a sideways gun, smoke shoots up from the sides of the entrance way as she “fires” it as the base drop and she hops up, flipping her hood back as she makes her way down to the ring.
Reina de la Cruz: And his opponent, representing MAYHEM from Kelowna, British Columbia Canada, she is the Slayer-Queen, Cali Hayama!
Pierce Donovan: Okay, now that you’re here, Chris, on the record, what about Cali Hayama has piqued your interest? You said she has a helpful “lucky” trait, but what do you really mean?
Christopher McMichaels: Have you seen the way she moves? Like, we have had people who do that lucha-shit, and some of that hard Japanese stuff, but she wrestles different to anyone here! Do you see me trying to do a flippy-do landing on my feet then coming back and kicking someone like a soccer ball? No! And I'm not one of those boomers stuck in the past. Max has a great mind as wrestling's true Ace. There is that future in her, and dollar signs! I- We can make bank!
Jasper Phoenix: If there is something I can say myself, is at least from watching her in the cage and seeing her stuff from Japan, she is probably one of, if not THE most athletic person on this roster. She moves differently to anyone else and I think that alone is an asset towards anyone.
Christopher McMichaels: Exactly! And a legend like Max Maverick and a smart businessman myself can bring it out of her!
As Cali Hayama heads down the ramp, she looks at Marquise Bridges in the ring, trying to ignore Christopher McMichaels on commentary, and gives him a little nod before rushing into the ring, sliding under the bottom rope. She quickly heads to the ropes and wraps her leg around the top rope, flipping her hair and hood back before holding up her stable’s hand gesture. She winks to the camera and sticks her tongue out before heading towards her corner, taking off her hoodie and simply tossing it to the side. Her theme music fades and the lights of the venue return to normal as both her and Marquise stand in the ring, opposite corners. After all the hot dogging and grandstanding, we are finally ready to begin the match as the bell rings.
Marquise approaches carefully while Cali almost hops as she moves around, keeping light on her feet. As they meet in the middle of the ring, they exchange a very brief fist bump before going in a collar and elbow tie-up. Cali tries for a side-headlock but Marquise slides out of it almost immediately and applies an arm wrench. He twists her arm and, to get our of it, Cali flips on her feet as light as a feather to break free. The Gaijin-Joshi quickly applies headscissors for a takedown but Marquise rolls, preventing any damage and immediately takes her down with a double leg!
Pierce Donovan: Brief exchange and Marquise with the double leg!
Jasper Phoenix: With a little bit of zest.
Marquise Bridges holds up his first, showing that he could throw a bunch but instead holds off. Cali puts up her firsts to block any punches, but none come. Instead, Bridges smirks and taps her on the shoulder before slowly backing off.
Christopher McMichaels: And that is why I’m not here to scout him, weak. Could have socked her in the face.
Pierce Donovan: I think it is just a playful bit of head games from Marquise. Showing her that he could do that if he wanted.
Jasper Phoenix: And why doesn’t he want to? It’s a match!
Marquise gestures for Cali Hayama to come at him again, wanting a round two. Getting to her feet, Hayama motions for a lock up but quickly side steps and nails him in the thigh with a hard kick, and another! Marquise Bridges hops on his leg for a second and his agile opponent is thinking of a hint of strong style by chopping him directly in the chest with a knife edge chop and a forearm! The crowd winces on impact. She is going all out in a supposedly “friendly” match.
Christopher McMichaels: Now that is some hot Japanese shit!
Pierce Donovan: We think so much of Cali’s agility as part of her game, that we sometimes forget how rounded it actually is.
Cali manages to get in two more forearms to the jaw before Marquise finally catches on and cuts her off with a knee lift to the gut. He throws a jab, hitting her in the chin and follows it with a body punch. She drops to a knee after Marquise’s hard body shot and The “Solution” runs off the ropes for a big shoulder tackle, and Cali rolls to the side with ease!
Turning around, Marquise tries for a clothesline but once again Cali rolls out of the way and she runs towards the ropes. Darting forward Cali hits a flying-headscissors and her momentum causes Marquise to roll outside of the ring. The distance is there and Cali runs off the ropes, charging in Brides’ direction…
And she springboards off the middle rope into the ring, landing on her feet and doing a superhero-like pose, smirking at Marquise who flinched upon Cali leaving her feet.
Jasper Phoenix: So it is a bit of mind-games from both of them?
Pierce Donovan: I suppose it is a bit of a flex of her own after Marquise held a punch.
Christopher McMichaels: She doesn’t need to do that all the time though. Although it was fun watching that Marcus guy flinch!
Seeing Cali pose in the ring, Marquise gives a grin, a little competitive fire from his opponent. Giving Marquise some room, Cali lets her opponent roll back into the ring to follow up. Putting both his fists up like a boxer, Marquise is ready to throw hands. Cali adopts a position with her foot forward, ready for kicks. Marquise moves first, trying for a quick Haymaker but Cali ducks back. She tries for a low kick to respond but Marquise jumps back. The two have went from exchanging grapples to trying to out-strike each other. A few more strikes are blocked and dodged before Bridges catches Cali’s foot…
And Cali Hayama flips out and goes for a low sweep of the legs, tripping up Marquise, dropping him face first on the mat! The Next-Level Joshi runs off the ropes and hits a basement dropkick to the side of the head and goes for the cover.
One
And Marquise gets his shoulder up.
Pierce Donovan: Some lightning speed from Cali Hayama gives her the first real advantage in the match so far!
Jasper Phoenix: Both of them seemingly have their own parts of their game they excel in and it almost cancels out.
As Marquise Bridges gets back to his feet, Cali Hayama grabs the wrist of him, giving it a quick twist before doing a hard side-kick to the gut, then one higher to the chest! The kicks both leave loud thuds as “The Solution” wavers back to the ropes. Leading him in an Irish Whip, Cali sends Marquise across the ring and upon him returning she drops down. Marquise keeps his momentum up but Cali leap frogs over him and finally on the third go around she makes him roll over with a monkey flip! The quick Cali Hayama rolls backwards and grabs his arm, dropping both her knees on his elbow! Rolling him to his stomach, Cali locks in a fujiwara armbar, trying to show a bit of a ground game to her.
Christopher McMichaels: See? This is what I’m talking about. We need more of this from Cali. Using her wicked speed and going to the mat when needed.
Pierce Donovan: The match is still early, so we’ll see how Cali’s game develops without a different stipulation.
Jasper Phoenix: And how Marquise responds.
Managing to keep Marquise to the mat as he is a smaller guy, Cali slowly moves to a different armbar, stepping her leg over his shoulder and using it almost like a lever for extra torque. As Marquise tries to crawl away she stomps on his head a couple times!
Christopher McMichaels: DO IT AGAIN!
Pierce Donovan: A little nasty-ness from Cali, like she talked about.
Jasper Phoenix: She does love talking about stomping some heads in.
We can hear Marquise shout “What was that for?!” and Cali giving a devious smirk in response, “Told you it wasn’t going to be easy!” she shouts before doing a couple more stomps and wringing his arm, slamming it on the mat to release the hold.
Stumbling up, Marquise shakes his arm to get some feeling back into it and heads for the ropes. Cali Hayama charges at him, but he manages to drop his shoulder, sending Cali over the top rope! Cali quickly grabs onto the top rope to keep her from crashing on the floor. Turning around to see Cali on the apron, Marquise quickly throws a punch but Cali ducks it, leading down like she was in the Matrix. A second punch attempt as Cali gets back up and this time she catches the arm and extends it with a rope-assisted armbar! There are a couple of jeers from fans as Cali keeps the hold in until three, letting go after doing a bit more damage on the arm!
Pierce Donovan: And once again, Cali targeting the arm and this time using the five count!
Christopher McMichaels: It’s genius! Know the limits of the rules.
Jasper Phoenix: And if Marquise complains, technically she didn’t break the rules.
With an assist from the rope, Cali Hayama pele kicks Marquise and jumps over him and runs off the ropes from the other side. Meeting him in the middle of the ring, Marquise Bridges tries to lift Cali up, but she instead drives both boots to the chest of Bridges with a dropkick! Marquise flips over from the impact and Cali, trying to show a bit of diversity, holds him in a front facelock. Slowly, she lifts him up and, on one of the few men she can hit this on, she drops him with a brainbuster! There is a bit of shock from the crowd as Cali Hayama rolls over for the cover.

And Marquise Bridges gets his shoulder up!
Pierce Donovan: Cali Hayama isn’t the strongest on the roster, but just there she barely managed to get him up for a brainbuster!
Jasper Phoenix: Well at only 167 pounds, Marquise is certainly one of the smaller men on the roster. He’d be a welterweight in MMA or Boxing.
Holding the back of his neck with his better arm and shaking the other out after a couple of nasty armbars, Marquise Bridges heads towards the ropes to get his wits about him. The Slayer Queen keeps on him, giving a kick or two before grabbing the wrist once again. Cali attempts another Irish Whip, but Marquise holds firm and instead hits a short arm haymaker! A crack is heard from the impact!
Pierce Donovan: What a punch!
Jasper Phoenix: That man has been working the bag!
Christopher McMichaels: Noted…
Marquise shakes his arm to get the feeling back in it as the big haymaker drops Cali to a knee. Grabbing Cali Hayama by the collar, he pulls her towards the corner and delivers a chop to the chest! Bridges goes back with a second, but Cali dodges and rolls away. She quickly charges for a dropkick, but Marquise Bridges sidesteps and Cali crashes into the corner! The Solution backs up, feeling his arm once again to get all feeling back in it and waits for Cali Hayama to get to her feet and he throws a jab, catching her on the chin! The Asian-Canadian wobbles on her feet as Marquise follows that up with a body shot then a european uppercut. Cali falls back into the ropes, but still remains on her feet as Marquise kicks her in the gut and drops down, delivering a slap! While Cali is stunned Marquise grabs her from behind and lifts her up for a back suplex! Bridges does a bridge for the pin!

And Cali Hayama her shoulder up, but Marquise Bridges keeps a waistlock on the ground.
Pierce Donovan: And one punch is all it took for Marquise Bridges to get an advantage here. Already starting to show this match may be back and forth.
Jasper Phoenix: With Marquise’s smaller frame compared to most of the men’s division, he has to come up with his own style to allow him to fight against anyone of any size, much like Cali mentioned with her speed. For Marquise, it is his punches.
Christopher McMichaels: We’ll see how well he can punch above his weight class if he ever faces Max Maverick or yours truly.
Marquise Bridges lifts Cali up before taking her back down to the mat and transitioning to a front facelock. He does a punch or two with his free arm and he rolls on the mat, keeping hold of Cali Hayama. As he tries to change his position, the fast Cali Hayama manages to slip out, but Marquise is quick to follow up, kneeing her in the gut and forcing her into the corner. He gives a grin, saying “Sorry girl, not holding back” before Irish whipping her across the ring and nailing a clothesline in the corner and following through with a bulldog! Marquise rolls Cali Hayama over for a pin attempt.

And Cali Hayama keeps herself alive again as Marquise once again transitions into a front facelock.
Pierce Donovan: We talked about Cali’s attempts to show her variety, but Marquise is trying to show he isn’t a one trick pony as well, keeping on Cali when she is on the mat.
Jasper Phoenix: Variety is kind of needed most the time. If you are shut down one way, you need other ways to come back. The moves on his arms early were smart by Cali, but Marquise managed to get the ball rolling by mixing his game up.
Pulling Cali to her feet, Marquise keeps it simple with a snap suplex, keeping hold of the smaller Cali Hayama. Rolling over, Bridges switches to a waist-lock and follows with a German Suplex! Finally, with his grip still on Cali, he goes to the front and locks both arms, nailing a double arm suplex and rolling over for another pin!

And Cali Hayama, still in it!
Enjoying the match, there is a grin on Marquise’s face. “Now this is a fight,” he chuckles as he brings Cali to her feet. He rolls her to the mat with a snapmare and runs off the ropes. He aims low with a dropkick but Cali Hayama quickly rolls to the side! Marquise Bridges lands hard on his back and before he can react, Cali rolls to her feet and hits a Standing Shooting Star Press! Draco Meteor!
Pierce Donovan: Draco Meteor! Draco Meteor! She may have it-

No!
Marquise Bridges nearly falls to a three count due to how sudden the move was, but he pushes Cali Hayama off!
Jasper Phoenix: Now that is some ungodly agility from Cali Hayama! Getting a flip like that right as soon as she gets to her feet!
Christopher McMichaels: I can’t wait to have that in our ranks!
Pierce Donovan: She still hasn’t given an answer.
Christopher McMichaels: We’re not rushing her! But we all know her answer in the end.
Before Marquise can even get to a vertical base, Cali drops him with a superkick and quickly follows that up with a springboard moonsault! She goes for another pin again.

And Marquise Bridges once again kicks out!
Pierce Donovan: Cali Hayama, even with her very athletic style is still keeping on her opponent.
Holding her ribs for a second after two big acrobatic moves, Cali changes approach she waits for Marquise Bridges to get up and hits a spinning heel kick to his gut, forcing him to bend over. Jumping on his shoulders she flips through with a Sunset flip powerbomb! Rather than going for a pin, we see her grab his arm and try to lock in the Spider Twist!
Pierce Donovan: Octoling! Octoling! Cali’s fighting for position to get it in!
Jasper Phoenix: And that move is great at targeting the arm and neck!
As she pulls the arm back, gets her leg over his neck, and clasps her hands together, Marquise manages to struggle to wrap his leg around the bottom rope… But she keeps the hold in! The referee reaches a count of four before Cali breaks the hold, drawing a mixed response from fans. She holds up her hands “I have until five, buddy, chill.”
Christopher McMichaels: You tell them!
As Marquise Bridges winces a bit, rubbing his neck and shoulder as he gives a stare at Cali. The Gaijin-Joshi shrugs and holds her hand up to remind him of the five count. Slowly, Marquise Bridges gets up and tries a lock up but Hayama quickly grabs his arm and just yanks it, pulling him down to the mat. Once again targeting his arm. As Marquise is on his knees, Cali backs up and charges for her own low dropkick…
And Marquise side steps as well and now Cali is the one crashing into the mat. She sits up and barely has time to react as he hits a back heel kick to the back of her head!
Pierce Donovan: Love Tap!
Jasper Phoenix: Ain’t nothing lovely about that kick!
Christopher McMichaels: How can someone kick like that? I'd pay to learn how!
Now he is the one with a pin, pressing Cali Hayama’s shoulders to the mat as her bell has been rung.

And not enough!
Pierce Donovan: Marquise Bridges has turned the tides of Cali’s offense, but can he continue it?
Backing up, Marquise takes some time to rub his shoulder out. Eyeing up Cali Hayama, Marquise has gotten a taste of what Cali can bring and he’s had enough of it. Time to knock her lights out. He holds up his fist and tries for a discus knockout punch but Cali ducks it and nails him in the chest with a roundhouse kick!
Jasper Phoenix: No “DISCUS-sion” yet…
And Marquise Bridges barely flinches from the kick. He is usually a kind, smiling man, but he HAS to get to business here. He looks at Cali Hayama, “So this is the Cali you were talking about?” He says to her and Cali smirks, “Just the appetizer. How about you get the full meal-”
And Marquise hits a forearm strike to the jaw! Cali stumbles back and responds with a hard kick to the leg! Marquise does a punch and Cali does a chop to the chest! Then another punch from Marquise and Cali kicks him with a spinning back heel kick and a pele! Marquise stumbles towards the corner and Cali Hayama wipes her face, some of those strikes stinging. Having a wicked smirk on her face as she heads towards the corner and pulls Marquise’s shirt over his head! She knees and punches him as she tries to rip it off!
Jasper Phoenix: It’s like a hockey fight!
Christopher McMichaels: She IS a Canadian after all.
Pierce Donovan: As this match has continued, Cali Hayama has slowly ramped up the intensity, even with their agreement to “Keep it clean,” she is trying to see how far she can push it.
Christopher McMichaels: Push it further! Forget what whats-his-name said!
After Cali rips off his top she sends it to the side and she kicks him in the now fully exposed chest! She follows it with an open chop and she holds her hand up with the MAYHEM “M” to his face, doing a hard slap across the face and following through with multiple kicks to the chest until the official tells her to back up. Some welts are forming on the chest of Marquise Bridges from Cali Hayama’s hard kicks.
Jasper Phoenix: Remind me never to piss that girl off.
Christopher McMichaels: Why do you think I WANT to team with her? I'm not stupid!
Pierce Donovan: Cali Hayama, despite being usually the one with a size disadvantage, I think she’s showing how she may potentially be able to break down an opponent of any size and take control.
Wincing after the kicks, Marquise Bridges stares at Cali… and gives a grin. “Keep it up!” He shouts and the Slayer Queen obliges. She throws another hard kick to his chest and this one through sheer determination, he absorbs the forceful kick and Cali goes for another…
And Marquise Bridges ducks the kick and picks her up in a powerbomb! He folds her up and she forces her to roll through. Letting out a pumped up “WOOO,” the competitive spirit is filling his veins too. As soon as Hayama gets to her feet, Marquise jumps and hits a Leg Lariat! Flipping on impact, Cali has went from chopping Marquise Bridges down with hard kicks someone of her size normally can’t do, to now being on the receiving end of some big moves. Going to the corner, Marquise Bridges eyes up Cali and decides to show a little bit of agility of his own. He rolls through and jumps up, dropping Cali Hayama face first into the mat with a rolling flatliner! He rolls her over for a pin.
Pierce Donovan: Marquise Bridges may have it! He may have it!

Kick Out again!
Jasper Phoenix: As this match began, we thought it was just going to be a clash of one specific style against another. Turns out, both Marquise and Cali Hayama are dead set on showing ALL they can do.
During the course of this match, it has ramped up in competition. In response, the fans are slowly gaining more and more attention and appreciation. There is a clap after the kickout, and some fans even begin to cheer, with there being a split between Marquise Bridges and Cali Hayama. There is a smile on Marquise’s face. This is what he wanted. He wanted the crowd into this. Picking Cali up off the mat, he pulls her by the wrist and applies a Hammerlock behind her back, twisting out, he drops Cali with a lariat! A Hammerlock Lariat from Marquise Bridges! Cali folds over and, out of instinct, heads towards the corner.
Measuring Cali up, Marquise hits a clothesline in the corner, and a second. Backing up, Bridges follows it up with a running double knee! Dropping to a knee, Cali Hayama is feeling the effects of this hard hitting match. Realizing he needs something big, he picks Cali up and puts her on the top rope. Holding Cali in an exploder suplex position on the top rope, the fans gasp.
Pierce Donovan: Wait wait, I know Marquise Bridges likes to utilize an Exploder Suplex he often bridges into called “The Support Bridge” but on the top rope?
Jasper Phoenix: Cali seems pretty hard headed, and not willing to stay down.
Jumping back, Marquise releases the Exploder Suplex and… OUT OF DESPERATION CALI HAYAMA FLIPS OUT OF IT! The fans are in shock as Cali stumbles, catching herself on the opposite corner as Marquise lands hard on the canvas below.
Pierce Donovan: Is this woman even human?!
Jasper Phoenix: I was talking to her the other day about how she gets her agility and her response was doing Parkour when she can… and clearly it helps!
Marquise Bridges slowly gets to his feet, not realizing Cali landed, and his opponent sees space to capitalize. Running off the ropes, Cali handsprings and hits an Enzigiri kick! Rolling back after the kick to the jaw, Marquise lands out of the ring, slowly trying to get his bearings. Reading herself in a corner on the other side, Cali Hayama breathes heavily. As Marquise Bridges gets to his feet, Cali runs diagonally across the ring, jumps over the rope and springboards out of the corner with a Triangle Moonsault!
Pierce Donovan: TRIANGLE MOONSAULT FROM CALI HAYAMA!
Jasper Phoenix: HOW!?
Christopher McMichaels: I NEED to get a closer look at this guys. I think I found my next big money venture. Later, money talks, and I'm walking towards it!
There is a loud “Holy Shit!” chant from the fans as Christopher McMichaels removes his headset and slowly walks closer to where the action is. Both Cali and Marquise are feeling the effects of the dive, but Cali gets to her feet first, pulling herself up by the barricade separating the ringside area from the water. She wipes hair out of her eyes and follows up by slowly picking Marquise Bridges up off the outside mat and sending him shoulder first into the near-by steps! “Sorry dude, gotta do what I gotta do.” She says as she slowly picks him up and pushes him into the ring… And finally she notices Christopher McMichaels.
The Blueblood claps, giving Cali an approving thumbs up, but the MAYHEM member rolls her eyes and approaches him. “Why are you here?” She asks, and he replies, “To support you, of course! Our big prospect!”
Pierce Donovan: And Christopher, looking for support, instead is distracting Cali Hayama.
Jasper Phoenix: He’s just giving her a pep talk!
Responding, Cali Hayama rolls her eyes and just says “Stay out of my way, here,” and slides to the apron. Meanwhile, Marquise has had a little bit of time to recover, although with the trifecta of the big kick to the jaw, the big moonsault, and the shoulder going into the corner, he is still recovering. He rotates his shoulder, trying to get feeling back in it as Cali holds the ropes. Turning around, Marquise is in prime position for Cali. Jumping off the top rope with a springboard, Hayama goes for a big forearm…
And Marquise catches her mid-flight! Not knowing what to do, Cali is in shock as Marquise pops her up and hits a big uppercut!
Pierce Donovan: Outreach! Big Knockout punch from Marquise!
Jasper Phoenix: No! Christopher may have accidentally cost Cali!
Holding his arm after the big punch, to catch her and deliver the big blow took a lot out of his arm, but Marquise managed to go for a cover, hooking a leg with his good arm.

No!
Cali Hayama rolls her shoulder off the mat as she is in a daze. She stays in.
Pierce Donovan: And Cali stays in it!
Jasper Phoenix: Oddly enough, the simple action of her throwing him into the steps may have saved her. I know I saw her land on his shoulder from the moonsault, but that may have saved her. He couldn’t pin her in time, or maybe he just didn’t have enough force behind it for the win.
Taking a deep sigh, Marquise wipes his face. Cali kicked out. Although frustration is setting in, he gives a small nod of approval to Cali. She is giving him her all. Then… he glances and finally notices Christopher McMichaels. His cheerful mood is shed and he gets up. “What are you doing here? This isn’t a porn set!” He shouts, and Christopher McMichaels plays innocent, raising his hands, “I just wanted a closer look at your opponent. But hey, maybe I can extend an offer to you too!” and Marquise immediately shakes his head, “I normally don’t say this, but you can take that deal and shove it!” There is a gasp from the fans and even the commentators are in shock.
Pierce Donovan: Way to go Marquise!
Jasper Phoenix: How can he say that? He is normally such an outstanding citizen!
Pierce Donovan: Even he has limits, and Christopher McMichaels, getting inside Cali’s head, has clearly pushed those limits for Marquise. He just wants a match in peace.
Rather than capitalizing right away, Marquise tries to help Cali Hayama up, trying to get her attention to see what to do about the presence of Christopher McMichaels. “Come on Cali, this man is getting into our problems!” and a dazed Cali looks on and we can hear her mutter, “The match is still on, right?” Marquise nods and Cali.. slaps him again!
Bridges grabs his cheek and looks shocked as Cali slowly gets up and gestures for him to bring it. “We’re still in this, let’s finish this…” before slapping Marquise again and this time, the Solution realizes the problem and Irish whips Cali with force across the ring into the corner! She lands chest first with a thud and slides down, coughing.
Pierce Donovan: I can’t believe it. Even with Christopher McMichaels at ringside, Cali is STILL insisting on finishing the match.
Jasper Phoenix: I’ve seen some of her stuff in CJW just for research, and with the Units there, she is used to wrestling with outside antics. Although she lost her focus for a second, all she can do now really is focus on the match and adapt if he gets involved.
Breathing heavily, Marquise Bridges looks at Cali Hayama and slowly approaches. She hit the turnbuckles hard. Carefully, he tries to pull Cali Hayama up and she grabs his head and hits a jawbreaker! Marquise stumbles back and after settling herself, she quickly heads up the turnbuckle and jumps backwards, rolling into a Whisper in the Wind!
Pierce Donovan: BARREL ROLL!
Landing directly on top of Marquise Bridges, Cali doesn’t even need to move as an exhausted Cali Hayama has a pin!

Three!
NO!
At the last second, Marquise Bridges manages to power out, pushing Cali Hayama off him!
The fans, after that near-fall all join in clapping, giving applause. These two have gone back and forth, one after another and despite this being a “Match between Good people,” it has grown in intensity matching even some of the most heated main events. Both of them have something to prove.
Pierce Donovan: I can’t believe it. From the opening bell, these two have been back and forth, not giving a single inch, and I think even after the final bell, we can still call them on the same “Level.”
Jasper Phoenix: Cali has been talking about being “Next-Level” and we’re seeing it here, but Marquise, somehow, has shown himself to be on that level.
The official starts a count as both of them are down on the mat. Marquise slowly crawls towards the corner and Cali the ropes. After a few moments, Christopher McMichaels approaches Cali Hayama and looks her in the eyes. “Show me. Show me the Slayer-Queen! Make this man your bitch! Don’t pussy out! Prove it! Show him!” and Cali grabs the ropes tighter. She gets to a knee as Marquise does as well in the corner. “Don’t tell me what to do…” she mutters, and Christopher McMichaels replies. “Then show me! Show me your worth! NOW!” and somehow that lights a fire under her…
And Cali Hayama rushes Marquise Bridges in the corner and forearms him in the face before repeatedly stomping away! Driving her boot into his chest and face, the referee is trying to pull her away!
Jasper Phoenix: NOW THAT IS THE SLAYER QUEEN!
Pierce Donovan: Cali Hayama, after being shouted at by Christopher McMichaels, has had enough. She’s just SHOWING him what she can do and Marquise is the poor person on the-
Stopping Pierce Donovan mid-thought we see Christopher McMichaels getting up on the opposite corner and he’s undoing the top turnbuckle pad!
Pierce Donovan: Come on, Chris! Stay out of this!
The metal becomes exposed as the pad just hangs loosely on it. As Cali is finally being pulled away from her “Gamer rage,” Christopher McMichaels quickly heads away from it. Keeping her eyes glued on Marquise Bridges, Cali Hayama doesn’t even notice the turnbuckle as she gets close to it. The official sees the pad hanging and goes to try to fix it as Cali charges in and nails a corner dropkick on Marquise Bridges!
And she turns around and sees the referee distracted! She throws up her arms as Marquise stumbles out of the corner, crawling towards the middle of the ring on his hands and knees. In his baggy spring break shorts… Christopher McMichaels takes out a small metal pipe and rolls it to Cali. The pipe hits her boot and she looks at it.
Pierce Donovan: So THAT is his plan, distract the ref and hand Cali a weapon!
Jasper Phoenix: I thought I heard something metal in his pocket!
Looking at it, Cali Hayama picks it up in her hand and just… thinks. Will she really do this? She sees the referee is still trying to tie the turnbuckle on and would have enough time.
Pierce Donovan: Don’t do it, Cali. Don’t go back on your word!
Jasper Phoenix: No! Just take the win!
Eventually… Cali makes a decision. She holds up the metal pipe and the fans hold their breath…
AND SHE DROPS IT ON THE OUTSIDE FLOOR!
Pierce Donovan: Way to go, Cali!
Christopher McMichaels shakes his head, disappointed as Cali shouts, “I don’t NEED it!” and backs up to an open corner as finally the referee has his attention back to the match. Cali backs up and stomps her foot. A big Skull Cracker coming up. She runs forward for her double foot stomp…
And Marquise Bridges comes and pops up! Before Cali Hayama can react, Marquise Bridges grabs her and hits a beautiful bridging exploder Suplex! He holds her down for the pin! The Support Bridge!
Pierce Donovan: And Cali waited too long! Support Bridge!
Jasper Phoenix: That cost her!
One
Two
Three!
Reina de la Cruz: And here is your winner, Marquise Bridges!
Collapsing, Marquise Bridges covers his forehead with his hands and has a look of relief on his face as the fans cheer. Finally, the match is over. Christopher McMichaels shakes his head and shrugs before he begins to walk away. Sitting up, Marquise looks confused. He is unaware of what he did, but he has a hunch.
Pierce Donovan: The hesitation from Cali Hayama cost her in the end.
Jasper Phoenix: Exactly, she should have just used the pipe right there!
Pierce Donovan: No! She should have kicked it away right then and there!
Marquise gets to his feet and his hand raised in victory as he looks down and Cali Hayama slowly gets to a seated position, wincing after a hard landing from the suplex.
Pierce Donovan: Regardless of your thoughts on what Cali should have done, take nothing away from the victory of Marquise Bridges and even the effort Cali Hayama showed tonight.
Jasper Phoenix: Their careers in AMA are still young, but I think we got a showcase tonight that potentially both of them can be in the title hunt in AMA.
Realizing what had happened, Cali Hayama looks away. She is frustrated, she’s angry. Is it at Christopher for sticking his nose in things, or is it herself for her decision? She turns around and sees Marquise Bridges, trying to lift her spirits up by showing his usual grin. “Great job, Cali.” he says while extending his hand. Slowly, Cali gets up and looks at the hand… and just pushes it aside and rolls out of the ring. The fans give a disappointed boo as Cali limps out of the ring.
Pierce Donovan: That result isn’t setting well with Cali.
Jasper Phoenix: She said it herself, she doesn’t like losing, or being told “Good job,” after a loss. I think she should still take it, but I get it, she doesn’t care for participation trophies.
Pierce Donovan: But still, like, I’d expect her to shake his hand at least. I thought they had that much respect?
Unsure of why Cali responded the way she did, Marquise Bridges looks on as Cali heads up the ramp and towards the entrance. What is going to happen next?
Turning to the backstage area we see Mona Darling in the interview area. She has a cute summer dress on with a lei of Shamrocks on to fit with the vibes of tonight. To her side is Daniel Christian, a man having a match later tonight. He has his vlog camera in his hand, and an eyepatch on with some bandages visible around his injured eye. He is a bit more subdued than normal compared to his normal high energy self.
Mona Darling: Hey guys! Mona Darling here backstage and my guest at this time is the man looking for revenge against Norman Namatijara tonight, the Future, Daniel Christian. Daniel, first, what’s your thoughts going into a unique stipulation in a Catch-as-Catch can match?
Taking a deep breath, Daniel speaks.
Daniel Christian: A little strange. I’m here in the sunshine of Florida, it’d be perfect for some vlogging, but I’m in the ring with someone who tried to blind me. Norman he walks around using his Aboriginal heritage as a shield, an excuse to do horrible things and he’s a big guy, but I eliminated him in the Bunkhouse, I know I can hold my own with him.
Mona leads into the next question.
Mona Darling: But it is a catch-as-catch-can style match. No disqualifications, no exiting the ring, how are you managing this stipulation?
Daniel Christian: You know, when I asked Thawne for something to keep Norman from running away, I didn’t expect this. We already used a cage in Bunkhouse Stampede, but I just don’t want Norman running.
Daniel points to his eye-patch.
Daniel Christian: He did this to me. He did it by ducking me when I challenged him. A catch-as-catch-can match was not the first thing that came to mind, but I like this idea. He’s not allowed to run, and while I can’t go out of the ring to grab a weapon, I have a little more liberty to give him his just desserts…
Taking off his eye-patch, we can see how his eye has been healing. It is bloodshot with some scarring around it, and some bandages are near the eye.
Daniel Christian: Eye for eye, tooth for a tooth, and I’m not asking for some crazy match where we have to knock each other’s eyes out…
Realizing what he said, he adds.
Daniel Christian: Please don’t get any ideas, AMA. But this match it’s fair play. Norman, you can’t run, and I don’t plan on running from this fight. See you in the ring.
Mona nods and concludes the interview:
Mona Darling: Thank you for your time, Daniel, and we’ll see you in the ring soon.
In a private area deep within the club, we have Malice back at their shrine, with most of the stuff replaced after the payback attack from The Residence. Damien Axel is sitting in the middle on his knees, with his hockey mask on the floor in front of him. Hangman James is to his left, noose rope hanging on his neck, and Donavon Grayson to his right. All three are in their gear, looking at the pictures of their hero, Humanity, along with candles. In the middle is a picture of The Residence with each of their faces crossed out in red Xs. Feeling anger over what happened the last show, Axel starts.
Damien Axel: The she-witch herself attacked us in our place of worship! She burned your image in front of our faces, trying to turn our ideals into ash. We tried to sacrifice those souls and it cost them their chance at gold, but the Princess is still on her throne. The TORN Warrior still walks, and the Seamstress of Reality continues to spin her fiction.
Donavon Grayson simmers in anger and pounds his fist on the floor
Donavon Grayson: The feeling of being taken out in our place of peace does not sit with us! We are the agents of chaos AMA needs. We are meant to thrive, and they took us out at our own game, at your game!
Following behind him is Hangman James.
Hangman James: They beat us with a chain, they smashed our belongings, and we lived. We fight another day. But this feeling eats away at us and it fills us with pain. And this was after we bared witness to you falling to the false idol, Shinzo Omega. Your teachings are important, but in our pursuit of gold, did we all lose sight of it?
Going back to himself, the leader, Damien continues.
Damien Axel: Why must the Residence preach their house of TORN, when the world has no reason? There is no force that binds us other than the anarchy of the world. Life is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short. We do not need Kings and Queens, Princesses and Princes, but survival. Picking a fight with Malice is not how you survive.
Continuing on, Hangman folds his hands.
Hangman James: Donovan and I hope to prove ourselves worthy again of you. The Residence must pay. We don’t need a grand plan to know that we need to destroy those three. Our anger leads us and leads to their suffering. Our emotions are not a weakness, but our sustenance.
Donavon Grayson: We also have concerns that they will target you next, and thus attack the black heart of Malice. They will not get to you, not unless we are handing you their remains. We are not just willing to paint this city red with their blood, but sacrifice ourselves to protect you and our way.
Standing up, Donovan Grayson grabs the picture of the Residence and places it down on the floor in front of Damien. Hangman James goes off to the side and hands Damien Axel a baseball bat.
Damien Axel: You three are going to suffer. Everybody dies, some sooner than others…Your journey ends here…
He slams the bat down and smashes the frame the picture is in. Picking up the photo from the shattered glass, Damien lights it on one of the candles, much like what Eden did to the picture of Brian Zewbowski, and the camera zooms in on the picture burning in Damien’s hand as the scene fades.
The theme music to Sawyer Xavier plays and the lights around the pool area dim, the fans cheering After the song’s build, Sawyer Xavier makes his way out, holding out his signature “X” hand gesture, greeting the fans at Spring Break. He nods his head before heading down to the ring.
Pierce Donovan: Sawyer Xavier is potentially scheduled later tonight, but he’s out early to greet the fans.
Jasper Phoenix: Come on, you are teaming with the World Champion against two fine athletes, why come out and risk something happening? What if Norman gets trigger happy with another fireball? Just ask Daniel Christian!
Pierce Donovan: He’s been speaking out against Blake Justice for his interference in the Full Metal Mayhem match he had against Brandon Roberts. Maybe it is something to that?
Jasper Phoenix: And he’s not here! Come on!
Getting to the ringside area in the pool, Sawyer Xavier heads up the steps and slides into the ring with a swagger. A microphone is in his hands as he cuts his theme song and speaks.
Sawyer Xavier: What’s up, spring breakers?!
He shouts and gets a somewhat cheap pop from the crowd.
Sawyer Xavier: I hope everyone here is ready for Shinzo and yours truly to put Christian McMichaels and Max Maverick in their place tonight, but I’m a busy man and I have some unfinished business to attend to.
Motioning with his hand, Sawyer continues.
Sawyer Xavier: Run back the clock to Manifest Destiny, I fight that no-good Ca-knucklehead Brandon Roberts in Full Metal Mayhem and I went metal on his ass! But that win wasn’t without some crazy stuff happening and that leads me to Blake Justice.
At the mention of his name, there are some jeers from the fans.
Sawyer Xavier: Blake, I don’t know why. What? Are you secretly half-Canadian? Did you sell your soul to Justin Trudeau and crazy hair? No matter what, now you have a problem with me. People have been saying you’re not here tonight, but the thing is in wrestling, nothing is guaranteed. I know you don’t seem like a club kind of guy because everyone was socially distancing from you before it was cool, but seeing that you like to stick your nose where it doesn’t belong, maybe you’re here tonight. So, I’m calling you out! If you’re here, get your bald-ass out here and face me, man-to-man!
Pierce Donovan: Now, we have been told that Blake Justice is not in the area tonight, but Sawyer seems convinced he’s here.
Jasper Phoenix: And prepare for disappointment.
Standing in the ring, Sawyer Xavier paces back and forth before leaning in the corner, looking at the entrance-way and waiting. He gets the microphone up and speaks again.
Sawyer Xavier: Come on, get down here. Good thing about this venue, unless you’re part fish, you’re not sneaking up on me here.
There is some silence coming from the entrance-way as Sawyer Xavier waits, tapping his finger on the top rope. Just as he is about to give up…
The steel of “Switchblade” plays and the fans are shocked, especially the commentators.
Jasper Phoenix: Holy s- he’s actually here!
Pierce Donovan: The cold steel of Blake Justice echos and signals his arrival.
The theme music plays as the lights on the stage flash a violent red. Sawyer Xavier readies himself in wait. The camera zooms in on the entranceway as the song continues to play…
And continues.
Jasper Phoenix: Where is he?
Pierce Donovan: Maybe the music was a bit premature?
The song plays for a few moments longer until it is clear… Blake Justice isn’t coming. The song stops and the fans boo. Sawyer… undeterred by this, chuckles.
Sawyer Xavier: I’ll be damned, you made the right choice for once. I’ll sleep with one eye open to watch the grass for you, snake. I won’t waste your time any longer, but I’ll deliver this last message, because I know Blake is watching.
Turning to the camera, he speaks directly to Blake Justice at home.
Sawyer Xavier: Eventually you can’t hide anymore. I’ll be waiting, and each opponent I face will be a preview of what I’ll do to you. Once you’re done licking your wounds and you grow a pair, I’ll be waiting with bated breath.
Flipping the microphone out of his hand, Sawyer Xavier slides out of the ring and heads to the back.
Jasper Phoenix: Sawyer’s call-out didn’t exactly go to plan. He got caught with egg on his face.
Pierce Donovan: Perhaps not what he expected, but I think he proved his point. He’s ready for Blake Justice. He’ll be waiting. But we’ll see if he can focus as he gets to the main event tonight as he teams with Shinzo Omega to face on the new alliance of Max Maverick and Christopher McMichaels.
Rushing through the area set up backstage at this unique venue, Cali Hayama, still in her gear, storms through the back. There is a scowl on her face after her very competitive match with Marquise Bridges ended up in a narrow defeat after some hesitation from her. We can see some red marks across her skin and face, showing the hellacious fight she went through. AMA’s resident reporter, Mona Darling, approaches her, but the Slayer Queen stops her.
Cali Hayama: Mona, please.
She says with a bit of tension in her voice, trying to be polite.
Cali Hayama: I know you want an interview and you’ve done it before, but I’m just not in the mood. I’m too heated after that, and I don’t want to take it out on you. Let me cool down, then if you’re free, come back.
Not saying a word, Mona nods in understanding and walks away, granting Cali her request. Outside of her locker room, Cali removes her gloves and tosses to the ground in frustration. She sighs and about to enter her locker room, but she hears a familiar voice shouting her name.
Marquise Bridges: Cali! Cali! Wait up!
Rushing into frame we see Marquise Bridges, he has his shirt over his shoulder and Cali holds her hand up.
Cali Hayama: Marquise, if you’re here to give me a big moral lesson, please don’t. You’ve given me enough of them.
Holding up his hand in response, Marquise Bridges speaks calmly.
Marquise Bridges: It is not that Cali. All I need to say is the one thing I think you need to hear now and that is I understand.
Folding her arms, Cali takes a sigh, trying to release her anger in a healthy way.
Cali Hayama: Go on.
Marquise Bridges: You’re very competitive. I mean it in a good way. Even if you pushed thing a bit back there, you gave me everything I asked for and more. Genuinely, being in there made me push myself. But I also know you didn’t want it to go down like that. Even with the loss, I looked back at the footage to see what happened near the end. Christopher stuck his nose in our matters… again.
Cali Hayama: No shit…
She responds rather frustrated.
Cali Hayama: Losses suck, but they’re worse when someone gets their nose where they don’t belong. At least in Japan it’s expected when I’m dealing with certain units but oh well, I guess I should have known he’d fuck up our match after all that effort.
Even with the colourful language, Marquise nods in agreement.
Marquise Bridges: But I also think you should look at the silver-lining. I know you hate this sort of speech, but take pride in what you did tonight. Just hearing the crowd, I think we may have stolen the show tonight and people texted me that everyone’s buzzing about our match on social media. This is one case where I think you WILL gain even in a loss. I think you’ll have no issues bouncing back. But what I’m most proud of is that you stuck to your word, Cali. You showed something that Christopher McMichaels lacks, character. Even without that, if I was half a second later in reacting, you may have won. I can tell, you’re a star in the making.
Despite Cali’s usual mindset in regards to these sorts of talks, after having her anger simmer since the final bell, looking at Marquise’s face, there is something genuine about it, something that is lacking. Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she gives him a small grin and simply says…
Cali Hayama: Thanks…
And Marquise Bridges extends his hand, trying to get what he couldn’t after the match, a show of sportsmanship. This time, Cali accepts with little hesitation.
Cali Hayama: Although you do know eventually there may need to be a rematch. But I’m not rushing to get to it. I’d rather not be stuck facing the same person over and over again just trading wins for the hell of it. Like seriously, what wrestling company does that!?
The Solution of AMA chuckles and nods.
Marquise Bridges: Agreed. We’re both off to bigger and better things. Take care.
Marquise Bridges walks off and Cali Hayama picks her gloves off the ground and leans against her locker room door for a moment, just trying to digest what he said. As she turns around to get the door open, almost out of nowhere, Christopher McMichaels makes his way to her. Now he is in his gear as his main event match approaches closer and upon seeing him, Cali stiffens up, her anger returning.
Christopher McMichaels: Finally! I thought he’d never leave…
Cali Hayama: Don’t fucking start…
She says with venom in her voice.
Cali Hayama: The last thing I want to see right now is your stupid face after the shit you pulled.
Getting a little defensive, though possibly not being entirely sincere, Christopher McMichaels raises his hands.
Christopher McMichaels: Look missy, I’m just here as a fellow roster member and prospective friend to give you some feedback after that… mostly amazing performance.
Cali Hayama: Zip it!
Now Cali is getting close to his face and though she is much shorter compared to Christopher, with the tone of her voice, she speaks as if she is talking down to him physically and mentally.
Cali Hayama: Don’t you dare get on your whole “I’m just being a friend! I want to work with you!” bullshit. Because ever since you offered me it, it has been nothing but people bitching back and forth saying I should take the deal or if I did that I’d be the freaking devil. It is bad enough that there are people in North America who don’t understand that not everything in wrestling is clear black and white and flip out if I do one good thing or one bad thing and paint me as one or the other. But you have done NOTHING to make me want to say yes. You’re a sleazy young business man who is about as trustworthy as a shady politician.
Christopher McMichaels: Hey, I have you know, I have met some amazing politicians and businessmen in my time…
The Blueblood quips, trying to lighten the mood a bit.
Cali Hayama: Shut up! If you want me to join up with you and Max to form this trio slash faction kind of deal, you have to know that they don’t live on empty promises, faulty metaphors and lies. There is respect, honesty, wanting the best for the individuals as well as the group. Most importantly, friends. I have friends that have earned my trust and love. You haven’t done jack shit to do that. Coming here after you cost me the match, are you that stupid?!
Seething, Cali Hayama stares at Christopher McMichaels and, realizing his vague promises of money and fame, and potential may not get with him, he decides to respond with some frankness.
Christopher McMichaels: Did I cost you that match, or did you? Before you say, remember, there was some time between me rolling that pipe to you and you tossing it away. If you are so adamant that I can’t be trusted, you would have thrown that back in my face right away. But you didn’t, you thought, and hesitated because you knew that there is an opportunity working fo- with me, and one there. You didn’t take it, you waited a few seconds longer, and it cost you.
The words seemingly resonate with Cali a little as she puts her tongue in her cheek, getting a bit uncomfortable.
Cali Hayama: Your point…
Christopher McMichaels: There are multiple ways to be successful in wrestling and in life, and while there are some one-trick ponies here, you’re not one of them. I already said you know how to take advantage of good luck, but tonight we saw more. I saw skill. There was a drive. Hell, I don’t even think a guy twice your size could have left marks like that from your kicks alone. There were chances in that match where you showed that you had a killer instinct. Although you need to explore that more. But one thing you need to learn about is to take advantage of an opportunity. When I handed you that weapon, opportunity was literally knocking and you said no. That’s not my fault. As for Max, he’s letting me lead this talent search, but I asked him for feedback and he said one thing to me after watching your match and now… I have to agree…
Putting his hand on Cali’s shoulder, Christopher McMichaels tries to get Cali’s attention and the Slayer Queen gently moves his hand off her shoulder. He speaks.
Christopher McMichaels: There is something more inside of you. This rage, this wrath, she’s a badass. She’s marketable. She's championship material and I think if you allow us to let you embrace it, nothing can stand in… not just our way, but YOUR way. Keep thinking. I didn’t hear a no.
And on that note, Christopher McMichaels winks before he turns away and walks down the hall to return to his locker room. Cali Hayama stands there, stuck. She looks down to the floor and feels… genuinely stuck between two places. The scene fades on that note.
Catch-as-Catch-Can Rules Match
Norman Namatjira v. Daniel Christian
The opening to the Vlogging star’s music plays and the fans at Club la Vela give the man who is an underdog in this scenario a round of cheers to give him support in this challenging match. After a few seconds, Daniel Christian makes his way out, a bandage still on his face, covering the area above his eye, showing some progress of healing, but still sporting the damage of the disgusting fireball attack from Norman Namatjira. In his hand he has a vlogging camera and he is less smiles than normal.
Reina de la Cruz: The next match is under Catch-As-Catch-Can rules! In this match neither opponent is allowed to leave the ring, but otherwise there are no disqualifications! Introducing first, from Austin, Texas, weighing in at 195 pounds, he is “The Future,” Daniel Christian!
Pierce Donovan: Despite falling up short in the Bunkhouse Stampede, Daniel Christian put a little extra weight behind his “Future” nickname, eliminating Norman Namatijira, and that lead to the fireball which Daniel is still healing from, and then this match.
Turning his camera towards the crowd, Daniel gets a good look at the unique venue for his fans and then turns to himself as he walks down the aisle leading to the ring in the middle of the pool. Pointing to his eye, he says to the camera, “This may be Spring Break, but I’m not on a Vacation. Norman, you tried to blind me. Tonight, nowhere to run, I’m doing this for Buffalo Jones, I’m doing this for me, and I’m doing this so you can’t pull this with anyone else.”
Jasper Phoenix: No, it isn’t that. Daniel Christian decided to try to pick up the fight of Buffalo Jones against Norman. He got involved in a matter that wasn’t his. While the Fireball was extreme and uncalled for, he should have expected some repercussions.
As Daniel gets to ringside, he heads up the steps and goes into the ring. Heading to one of the turnbuckles, he holds the camera up, giving his viewers a good look of the venue before jumping down. He places his camera under one of the turnbuckles as the his theme music fades away.
The traditional Australian Aboriginal tunes causes the fans to jeer the Dharawal Warrior as the monster himself, Norman Namatjira heads onto the stage. Getting on his hands and knees, there is a sick smirk on his face as he goes down on prayer towards his ancestors.
Reina de la Cruz: And his opponent, from Alice Springs, Australia, weighing in tonight at 320 pounds, he is the Dharawal Warrior…
Then, Norman jumps up and does a warrior pose, holding his fist up in the air.
Reina de la Cruz: Norman Namatijra!
Pierce Donovan: Tell me, would his ancestors actually look at him with pride? Trying to blind some kid, trying to end his career? He’s not a warrior, he’s a monster!
Jasper Phoenix: The fireball may have been a step too far, but he was just trying to stand his ground against a man who embarrassed him and was trying to get into his business with him ending the career of Buffalo Jones. Action is justified, even if his methods are not. Tonight, if Daniel isn’t careful, Norman will gain his soul.
Heading down the ramp, Norman looks at the ring as Daniel Christian leans in the corner trying to focus. There is anger simmering in Daniel Christian after the fireball incident, but still, a man like Norman? How can he not be intimidated? At ringside Norman looks with a sick grin and leaps up to the apron and grabs the ropes before stepping into the ring. Heading to the corner, Norman goes on the turnbuckles and repeats his warrior pose from the stage as the official keeps between him and Daniel Christian. Finally the Dharawal Warrior steps down from the turnbuckles and sheds the rest of his entrance attire as his theme music fades.
Daniel Christian crouches down, eying up the big man, and is chomping at the bit. This is one situation where he may need to show a bit of a meanstreak. The bell rings and Daniel Christian runs at Norman Namatjira! He jumps and rains elbows down on the top of his head and the Dharawal Warrior is caught off guard!
Pierce Donovan: Daniel Christian coming in hot right away! That’s anger over the end of Buffalo’s AMA career, over the attempt to blind him!
Jasper Phoenix: And this maybe one of Daniel’s only hopes in this match and honestly may be something that will help him in his career.
After a few moments of elbows being driven into his head again and again, anger mounts for Norman and he picks Daniel Christian effortlessly by the legs!
Pierce Donovan: Oh-
Frantically Christian tries to nail Norman in the back with elbows, but it is no use as the big man charges across the ring and drives Christian back first into the corner! Namatijra pounds the chest of his smaller opponent with a forearm, then another! Grabbing Daniel by the throat, he begins to choke the Vlogger and the official is unable to give an actual warning due to the rules. Eventually, Norman pushes down Daniel Christian in the corner and backs up… kneeling. There is a sadistic smirk on the Dharawal Warrior’s face as he mutters “Your soul will be mine… and it will burn.”
Jasper Phoenix: Remember, nowhere to run for Daniel Christian.
Looking at the face of the man who tried to blind him, Daniel Christian runs and charges again! Trying to wipe the smirk off Norman! The cruiserweight technician manages to get some good hits on Norman before switching to an arm wrench, maybe trying to limit the power of the big man, but it is no use as Namatjira breaks it up and drops him with a short arm lariat!
Pierce Donovan: Once again nothing from Daniel Christian as Norman Namatijra just overpowers him.
Jasper Phoenix: And that size difference is going to be a massive hurdle for him. Not to mention that remember, Norman has held his own with the now inaugural AMA Grand Champion, Shinzo Omega. The Bunkhouse Stampede was a unique stipulation with seven competitors. This time it is one on one, legally you can’t leave the ring.
Pierce Donovan: And perhaps that is the most dangerous Norman Namatijra.
Any fury Daniel had has been knocked out from the clothesline as he stumbles to his feet. The big man picks him off the mat and pushes him into the ropes. Christian tries for a punch, but Norman blocks it and responds with an open chop to the chest! Then another! And a third! The young up and comer practically coughs from the slap and goes to his knees. Backing up, Norman eyes up Daniel and nails a running crossbody as Christian gets to his feet! Rather than pinning, Norman just has his usual deranged grin.
As Daniel Christian sits up after having 320 pounds charge at him, Norman grabs his arm and just elbows him in the side of the head, again and again, aiming for where the fireball landed! After grinding him down with elbows, Norman simply picks him off the ground and throws him towards the corner! Backing up, the Aboriginal charges with a big body splash in the corner!
Jasper Phoenix: I think Daniel Christian is going to make a fine pancake after this match!
Gasping for air, Daniel Christian is unable to get going. Taking advantage of the no disqualifications, Norman Namatijra drags Christian’s eye across the top rope! At the mid-way point of the ring, Norman stops and instead just chokes him on the middle rope, pushing him down. Finally, he backs up and runs to hit a crossbody on the ropes! The fans jeer as Norman walks, soaking in the jeers. Out of instinct, Daniel Christian is about to roll out of the ring, but the official reminds him of the rules as he is on the apron and is forced to roll back.
Pierce Donovan: Perhaps out of habit, Daniel Christian nearly got himself disqualified.
Jasper Phoenix: I’d almost take it if I was him, but he’s too prideful. And this match isn’t a cage, but you sure feel like it with the rules. With Norman just being able to keep Daniel within 20 feet at all times, it is going to be harder for him to create space.
Pierce Donovan: Exactly, and even with Daniel Christian having a strong ground game, with Norman’s power, he needs to use that space to wear him down before going in for his bread and butter.
Picking Daniel Christian off the ground with a gutwrench, Norman hits a Gutwrench suplex and keeps hold of him! Squeezing the ribs of Daniel Christian, Norman Namatijra is literally trying to squeeze the soul out of his opponent. Rolling over, Norman hits a second… and then begins a third…
And Daniel Christian flips out! He quickly grabs the arm and tries for an arm breaker, but once again Norman just overpowers him and this time drives him into the mat with an STO!
Pierce Donovan: And there it is, the power again.
Jasper Phoenix: Nice try from Daniel, but just he either needs to tire Norman out, or really catch him off guard to hit something like that.
Perhaps worried about Daniel Christian getting himself back in the match, Norman gives him a thumbs down and puts him in a powerbomb position. The Giba Bomb at this point. He wrenches the gut and picks Daniel Christian up who elbows his head at the apex! Then a second, and a third! Norman bends down and Daniel grabs both of the big man’s arms and pulls them like two levers!
Pierce Donovan: Hold up! Unique submission from Daniel Christian!
Jasper Phoenix: He caught Norman off guard and now he’s trying to rip both those meaty arms off!
Norman’s eyes are open wide as he feels his shoulders pop from the unique submission. He shakes his head “No,” not giving up, and attempts to try to break out with his power! Daniel yells out and his grip begins to slip. Realizing he has no other choice, Daniel lets go and quickly hits a sunset flip powerbomb!
One
T-
And no!
Norman powers out quickly.
As the big man stumbles to his feet, Daniel Christian, mixing things up, backs up and hits a high knee on the Dharawal Warrior, making him stumble back! Namatjira falls back towards the corner and realizing he needs to use some space, Daniel Christian charges at him and hits a corner shinning wizard! He back up and charges, hitting a second! Finally he is chopping down the big man. Norman Namatjira doesn’t fall down yet but wobbles towards the center of the ring and Daniel Christian quickly locks in an Octopus Stretch, targeting the head and arm of the monster! He pulls the arm with all his might and he grits his teeth
Pierce Donovan: Slowly, Daniel is working his way back in this match!
Jasper Phoenix: He caught him off guard, used some space to wear him down, and now is going to his signature technical skill, smart.
The referee asks if the Australian wants to give up and the big man shouts for him to back off. But the hold is dropping him down to a knee. He is shaking. The fans are clapping and repeating “Tap” over and over, trying to get in the head of the Dharawal Warrior, but this is only angering the powerhouse. Eventually, he shakes his arm and slowly breaks free, tossing Daniel to the ground and nailing a big boot! He holds his arm and tries to get some feeling back in it as he looks down at Daniel Christian on the mat in disgust.
Pierce Donovan: Almost from Daniel.
Jasper Phoenix: Guess it will take more from Daniel to take the big man down, and Norman looks mad!
Running off the ropes, Norman Namatijra hits a standing splash on Daniel and goes for his first pin attempt all match.

And no. Daniel Christian gets his shoulder up as he holds his ribs in pain.
Pierce Donovan: And to Daniel Christian’s credit, he stays in.
Jasper Phoenix: Norman was playing with him most the match so far, I think after Daniel nearly pulled his shoulders out of their sockets, twice, he’s going to be trying to get the win now.
Scraping Daniel Christian off the mat, Norman Namatijra holds him in a cradle and carries him around the ring. He drops him ribs first on his knee once, and twice, just trying to break him in half over his ribs. Finally he spins him out and drops him on the mat with a side slam! Daniel Christian is breathing heavily as Norman Namatjira stands over him, soaking in the jeers.
Pierce Donovan: How can Daniel Christian get back in this match?
Jasper Phoenix: Simple, roll out of the ring right now, take the loss, and run to the back to get checked up by doctors. He’s had flashes of brilliance, but has just been stopped time and time again from Norman’s power and aggression.
Heading to the corner, Norman Namatijra eyes up Daniel Christian and waits for him to get up. Daniel is slow, even needing to pull himself up by the roeps and Norman waits and charges for a Spear-
And Daniel ducks with Norman going face first in the middle turnbuckle! Daniel Christian holds his ribs and backs up, hitting a pumping knee strike in the corner, finally getting something in on the big man. A dazed Norman gravitates towards the center of the ring and the technician decided to take a risk. He jumps off the middle rope with a springboard…
And Norman catches him in the air with a spear!
Pierce Donovan: Wigun! Wigun! That spears cut him in half!
Jasper Phoenix: Goodnight, Daniel. Nice seeing you.
Norman goes for a pin on Daniel Christian.

No!
Despite the mid-air spear, Daniel finds it within him to kick out. Norman glares at Daniel Christian… He top mounts him… and starts ripping at the bandages on his head!
Pierce Donovan: COME ON! YOU ALREADY BURNED HIM THERE! DON’T NEED TO GO FURTHER!
Jasper Phoenix: You show up to a match with bandages, you create a target for an opponent.
Eventually, he rips the bandage off and we can see scarring around the eye of Daniel Christian with some of the eyebrow burnt off. Norman pulls Daniel off the mat and throws him face first into the turnbuckles, repeatedly smashing the side of his head against the pads! The fans jeer and the official just shouts for him to let up, trying all he can until eventually, Norman lets go. Wincing, Daniel puts his hand over his scars and feels a stinging sensation.
Pulling Daniel Christian out of the corner, Norman Namatijra puts him on his shoulders in a Fireman’s carry and parades him around the ring. Samoan Drop incoming… Norman shouts to the camera. “Daniel Christian will be crushed!” and…
Daniel Christian spins out and drops him with a planting reverse DDT!
Pierce Donovan: And he takes too long and he gets planted!
Jasper Phoenix: Monologuing is a wrestler’s worst enemy.
Slowly, Daniel Christian gets to his feet and his mind races, thinking what does he need to do in order to get going. He is about to get on the apron, but the official reminds him that he can’t exit the ring, so he instead climbs the turnbuckle from inside the ring. It takes an extra second to set himself up, but Daniel Christian is on the turnbuckles and jumps through the air, hitting a diving hurricanrana on the big man!
The fans cheer as they are getting behind Daniel Christian. The smaller Daniel Christian hits a clothesline, then a second, both staggering the big man before a pumping knee strike finally drops Norman Namatijra down! Finally, he kicks him in the gut and drops him face first into the mat with a snapmare driver and Norman rolls to his back. Daniel Christian goes for a cover.

-And no, Norman Namatijra pushes Daniel Christian off at two. Breathing heavily now, Daniel is at wit’s end.
Pierce Donovan: Daniel Christian has been fighting from behind through the majority of the match and now is finally at an advantage, and yet he is still on fumes.
Jasper Phoenix: He needs one big blow to end it now, or else he’s not winning.
Looking at Norman’s position in the ring, Daniel Christian gets an idea. Heading back towards the turnbuckles, Daniel makes the clmb again, but this time needs a second to catch his breath. All the times he nearly got crushed has made it harder to breathe. Eventually he settles on top… and Norman gets up and lunges at the ropes, forcing Daniel Christian to lose his balance! He grabs on the ropes, trying not to fall out of the ring, but it is too late. Grabbing Daniel by the throat, Norman Namatjira biel tosses him across the ring!
Pierce Donovan: Daniel is on fumes. He’s done.
Jasper Phoenix: You get thrown around like that in a match, no matter your conditioning, it will catch up with you.
Looking at Daniel on the mat, there is a slow… scowl building on Norman Namatijra’s face. He drops down… and starts biting his forehead where the fireball left scars!
Pierce Donovan: STOP THAT! STOP THAT! THAT IS GETTING TOO FAR!
Jasper Phoenix: This may not be the most sensitive words to use, but that’s just pure savagery!
Daniel Christian flails around in pain before Norman finishes his filet-o-vlogger. Looking around, Norman notices Daniel’s camera left under the turnbuckle and grabs it. He is going to use something of Daniel’s against him. Waiting in the corner he holds up the camera. Struggling to his feet, Daniel Christian is unaware of where Norman is.
Pierce Donovan: And with no disqualifications, Norman is going to use his camera against him.
Jasper Phoenix: And we can add a new camera to Daniel’s medical bills.
Norman swings the camera at Daniel’s head…
And he ducks it and responds with a roundhouse, catching him on the chin! The fans cheer as the camera is dropped and Daniel Chrisitan picks it up. Realizing a sacrifice may need to be made, he kisses the camera goodbye and smashes it over Norman’s head! The big man is dropped!
Pierce Donovan: It’s over!
Daniel Christian goes for the cover.

Thre-
NO!
Pierce Donovan: So close!
Jasper Phoenix: Smart move by Daniel Christian to sacrifice his camera when Norman brought it in the ring. But maybe he can do it?
Norman rolls to his stomach and now Daniel sees a chance to make the big man cry uncle. He hooks one arm for the Crucufier and reaches for the other. He starts to pull it back, but is struggling to get his arms locked. There is a struggle and…
Norman powers out! Daniel Christian’s grip breaks and he is pushed off. Trying again, Daniel Christian grabs Norman’s arm again, but this time he’s ready. The Dharwal Warrior grabs Daniel Christian and throws him… into the referee!
Pierce Donovan: Come on!
Jasper Phoenix: No disqualifications, remember!
Seeing both Daniel Christian and the official down… Norman rolls out of the ring and starts checking under the ring.
Pierce Donovan: So that’s the point of all that. Norman wanted to leave the ring to get a weapon without it counting as a loss.
Jasper Phoenix: I’m predicting a table…
No, instead it is something familiar. In Norman’s hands… is some flash paper and a match…
Pierce Donovan: No-no no… Not again.
Jasper Phoenix: You’re not a fire breathing dragon, man.
Rolling into the ring, Norman Namatijira prepares the flash paper and as soon as Daniel Christian is to his feet… ANOTHER FIREBALL IS THROWN IN HIS FACE!
Pierce Donovan: Stop the match! STOP THE MATCH! Norman Namatijira, you sick sick man!
Jasper Phoenix: …Not again…
The crowd jeers as another fireball is thrown and hits Daniel Christian. Norman quickly picks him up and drops him with a Giba Bomb! The powerbomb drops him. Realizing the official isn’t up quite yet, Norman gets an idea and heads towards the corner.
Pierce Donovan: Just pin him! He’s still going to be down when the referee gets up.
Jasper Phoenix: He already crossed a line, now what?
Slowly, Norman Namatijira heads to the top turnbuckle and his back is facing towards Daniel. The fans gasp as the big man… Hits a Bam Bam style Moonsault!
Pierce Donovan: 320 pounds crushing Daniel! No!
Jasper Phoenix: This is it…
Finally, Norman pins Daniel down and the official, still dazed, slowly counts the-

Three.
The fans jeer as Norman’s traditional Aboriginal music plays. The official slowly gets to his feet and raises the hands of the Dharawal Warrior who does a Warrior pose with a sadistic grin on his face.
Reina de la Cruz: And here is your winner, the Dharawal Warrior, Norman Namatijira!
Pierce Donovan: Just, Norman went too far. A second fireball to Daniel and he was just recovering from the first one.
Jasper Phoenix: Can we get someone to check on him, please?
Rolling to his stomach, Daniel Christian is in agony all over as he covers his face. Getting to his hands and knees Norman whispers something in Daniel’s ear before rolling away, having made his message. Slowly, several members of the AMA medical staff, an ironic statement in itself, head to the ring to check on Daniel Christian. One of them has a towel and helps cover up his face while another provides a bottle of cream to potentially help any burns.
Pierce Donovan: I know we’re called Against Medical Advice Wrestling, but we’re thankful for our medical staff.
Jasper Phoenix: Hopefully Daniel will be okay soon and someone gets Norman to pay! That is just a step over the line... again.
Eventually, the doctors help lead Daniel Christian out of the ring, keeping his face covered and guide him to the back.
Returning to the interview area, we see Bryce Montgomery standing with a microphone and by his side is one of the combatants in tonight's main event, Sawyer Xavier, already standing in his gear. Bryce turns to him to begin.
Bryce Montgomery: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, one of the competitors in the main event tonight, here is Sawyer Xavier. Xavier, tonight you are teaming with the inaugural AMA Grand Champion, Shinzo Omega against the duo of Max Maverick and Christopher McMichaels, the two who caused a massive scene after Omega was crowned champion. You have a lot going on, but what are your thoughts on the upcoming main event?
Sawyer Xavier: It’s a treat. Tonight I step in the ring as an equal to the champion. As much as I’d love to try to show what I can do to maybe earn a future title match, we have a job to get done. Christopher decided to step in, turn his back on the Hamad Agency to hitch his wagon to second place, Max Maverick, and they ruined a moment meant to be about crowning our first Grand Champion. Then there is this whole business about Chris hitting on the Canadian-Joshi girl who recently debuted, it’s frustrating!
Sawyer turns to the camera, directing his message directly to Max and Christopher.
Sawyer Xavier: You two think you can own AMA, do what you want? Well tonight, Shinzo and I are ready to face you guys. I have the champs back tonight, no ego between us. No cheapshots. You guys will pay.
Bryce Montgomery nods his head before following that up.
Bryce Montgomery: It is a big main event and you seem ready to take a stand, but how focused are you mentally?
Turning back to Bryce, Sawyer answers.
Sawyer Xavier: When the bell rings, that’s my main focus. But I’m not going to lie, I have some unfinished business, especially with Blake Justice. That psycho has been sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong for far too long and I’m sick of it. Blake, if you’re watching-
???: Cut-cut-cut!
A familiar voice sounds off from off-screen and the camera zooms out to see… once again, Brandon Roberts, wearing his “Let’s go Brandon” Maple Leaf shirt. He shakes his head as Sawyer Xavier just rolls his eyes.
Brandon Roberts: Sawyer, Sawyer, stop being such a coward. You’re trying to call out a guy who’s not even in the building after what happened between him and that freak at Manifest Destiny.
Sawyer Xavier: Coward? Come on, and I thought I sorted you in Full Metal Mayhem.
The Canadian laughs.
Brandon Roberts: Sorted me? Come on, I’m a bigger star than ever. Look at the shirt, “Let’s Go Brandon,” has really taken off, even Bryce has one.
And he shows his t-shirt off which Sawyer shakes his head at.
Bryce Montgomery: Brandon, it wasn’t my size.
Brandon Roberts: I’m sorry, they don’t come on double XL.
Sawyer Xavier: Do you actually know what that means, Brandon? Or have you damn Canadians not been paying attention much to-
Ignoring what Sawyer is saying, Brandon cuts him off.
Brandon Roberts: And you got lucky when you beat me! If Blake was there, then he’d show that your win over me was nothing but a fluke!
Getting more tense, Sawyer Xavier gets in the face of Brandon.
Sawyer Xavier: Fluke? You want to say that again? Because I may have a big main event match tonight, but I have no problems shutting your timbit shoving ass up right now!
Brandon Roberts: You want to say that again, you McDonalds gulping American pi-
Then… the lights begin to flicker. Bryce Montgomery, having a bad feeling about what will happen, uses it as his cue to leave. The two wrestlers look around and Sawyer shrugs.
Sawyer Xavier: On second thought… maybe we’ll settle this after. I have a feeling this is for you…
Then he walks away, Brandon Roberts yells out at his old rival and laughs.
Brandon Roberts: Really? You’re walking away after a lighting problem? You Americans are weaker than a Triple Triple! Come on and fight me! Don’t run! Fight me-
Then… a shower of red fluids comes down from the ceiling and drenches Brandon Roberts… A bloodbath! The blood splats all over the interview set being used as there is a lot more red compared to the green covering for the event. Brandon’s white shirt is now a thick red, masking the maple leaf on it, and his hair is drenched, dripping with the red stuff which we hope isn’t real blood.
Brandon stands there… in shock, shaking… and on the screen behind him we hear a familiar laugh. Appearing on the ThawneTron, our face painted murderclown, Monstruo del Circo.
Monstruo del Circo: A little messy, Brandon? I wanted to make sure you bore witness to my message for Blake… But it isn't only forJustice. HAHAHA! El espectáculo no ha terminado! The show will not be over until you bleed your every drop! See you soon!
The image of Del Circo cuts as Brandon turns to the camera… furious as the scene fades.
Archie Jones: G’day cunts, Archie Jones coming at you from Panama City Beach with a ballsack sweatier than a dingo on heat right on the cusp of the mating season and as one of the few good men that Australia has ever produced that I was shocked when I arrived in Florida that all of these redneck yokels are picture perfect snapshot parodies of all of the riff raff bogans that live back home. So as an esteemed member of the gentry, you can only imagine my disappointment of having to make debut in such a God awful location. I mean at least we could have enjoyed St. Patrick’s in a cultured wine bar or even a classic discoteque. But instead, we are going to do battle at Club la Vela. All I know for certain is that I don’t want to be here and the sooner me and my fellow compatriot of The High Command claim a victory over these two delinquents the better for all involved.
The camera cuts from Archie Jones to Sir Marmakduke Whistle
Sir Marmaduke Whistle: Pleasant greetings to all of the viewers who are presently watching this broadcast. My name is Sir Marmaduke Whistle, but my closest friends call me ‘The Whistler’ and in the hopes of friendships and future understanding between yourselves and The High Command I am hopeful that all of you fine fans of this great sport that is wrestling will one day consider by myself and my slightly less savoury partner Mr. Jones as your friends. Now I have been informed that it is a common ritual before taking part in a wrestling match that the combatants engage in something called a promo, so that is exactly what I intend on doing this evening. So without any further ado, I believe it is time to approach the crease and play some cricket.
Archie Jones: Why have we come to AMA? Why do we want a piece of Sandwich Man and Jelly Belly? Well chaps the answer is simple - because those are our orders.
Sir Marmaduke Whistle: And as members of The High Command - one doesn't not question orders from The Kommander.
Archie Jones: So you nerds sit back, take a sip of your teeth rotting Mountain Dews and enjoy the show - because tonight - is going to be a good one.
Pierce Donovan: "Up next on the show we’ll see yet another Lethal Lottery qualifier as it’ll be Princess Nova and Slate Bass representing The Residence, and they’ll be squaring off with Donavon Grayson and Hangman James of Malice! "
Jasper Phoenix: "The Residence has been on a bit of a tear as of late and winning tonight will take them to even bigger heights!"
Pierce Donovan: "While Malice hasn’t gotten off to a hot start since their arrival in AMA, but if they win tonight then that’ll certainly be a step in the right direction for them if they want a chance at succeeding!"
“Everybody Dies” begins to play and as the opening lyrics start off, James and Grayson step out on stage with Damian Axel at Hangman’s side while Dalilah Rose walks beside Grayson.
Reina de la Cruz: "The next tag team match is scheduled for one fall and it is a Lethal Lottery qualifying match! Introducing first, being accompanied by Damian Axel and Dalilah Rose, and weighing in at a combined weight of 430 lb…Donavon Grayson & Hangman James…they are Malice!"
Jasper Phoenix: "You already mentioned it already Pierce, but Malice has been looking to make some type of statement since their arrival and have yet to do so, but tonight they could change that with a win."
James enters the ring and Grayson receives a kiss from Rose before he joins his partner, while Axel shouts out instructions from ringside.
As “Roots” begins to play, the lights turn off in the arena as strobe lights near the entranceway flash white and purple. As soon as the lyrics kick in, the members of The Residence make their way out with Eden in the middle, Slate on her left, and Princess Nova on her right. Slate holds a signature cocktail in his hand, Princess Nova holds her cape behind her whilst Eden has a rose in her hand. The Seamstress of Reality licks the thorn-covered step before kissing her husband. Eden turns to Princess Nova who curtsies to her mentor. Eden kisses her forehead before she leads the three down the ramp.
Reina de la Cruz: "Introducing next, their opponents at a combined weight of 337 pounds, the Torn Warrior, Slate Bass, the Enchantress, Princess Nova, and being accompanied by the Seamstress of Reality, Eden, they are The Residence!"
Pierce Donovan: "Malice will have a lot to contend with tonight with The Residence’s Bass and Nova, and I would not be surprised at all if Eden got involved in some way tonight."
Whilst the trio are heading down the rampway, the lights of the arena are all now flashing a violent violet. At the end of the ramp, Slate breaks away and heads up the steps while the ladies walk around the ring. Scraping his shoes on the apron, Slate Bass steps into the ring, still holding his cocktail. Meanwhile, Princess Nova sheds her cape before sliding under the bottom rope, doing the splits whilst she does. Eden slides onto the apron and lies in a seductive manner. Behind her, Slate Bass stands in the ring while Princess Nova hooks her leg on the top rope.
Jasper Phoenix: "Fortunately for Malice, they have Damian Axel and Dalilah Rose in their corner in the events of Eden getting involved."
Eden slides into the ring and Nova gets off the ropes, joining Slate. The three stand in the middle of the ring where a flashing purple and green spotlight is on them. The Torn Warrior puts his hand in his jacket pocket while Princess Nova curtsies. Eden poses with her rose before tossing it away. The lights turn back to normal in the arena while The Residence head to their corner as their theme music fades away and Eden exits the ring.
The referee checks with both teams to make sure that they’re aware of the rules, and after confirmation from both teams, the referee calls for the bell.
DING! DING! DING!
It’s Nova and Grayson kicking things off for their teams, and right off the bat, Nova bombards Grayson in the corner and starts wildly throwing forearm shots and punches while Grayson does his best to counter or even block each strike before the referee breaks it up. Once the referee thinks he has it under control, Nova strikes with a kick straight to the gut! Grayson doubles over and Nova then strikes with a standing dropkick that knocks Grayson right off of his feet, yet he’s quickly back to a vertical base and ducks an incoming roundhouse kick from Nova and manages to connect with an enziguri bringing Nova down to one knee. Grayson with momentum from running the ropes, comes barreling towards Nova with a knee strike attempt, but Nova narrowly avoids disaster and counters with a sweep of the legs sending Grayson crashing spine first to the canvas!
Nova tags in Bass and with assistance from Slate, Nova connects with a standing moonsault on Grayson! Instead of attempting a pin, Bass continues his onslaught of pain with stomps on the chest and even holds his boot firmly on Grayson’s chest until the referee forces him to stop. Bass obeys the referee, but he adds insult to injury with a stomp on the face! Bass then lifts up Grayson and hits a bridging suplex!
One…Two…NO!
Grayson kicks out but Bass drags him over to the corner and tags in Nova once more. Bass and Nova then proceed to double team Grayson in the corner with a barrage of stomps and a choke by Nova with the sole of her boot pressed firmly on Grayson’s throat until the referee forces a break. Nova feigns innocence before dragging Grayson out of the corner, and Nova goes for an irish on Grayson, but Grayson counters with his own irish whip on Nova who hits the corner hard and she has zero time to recover as Grayson clobbers her with a running corner clothesline! Grayson drags Nova by her hair over to his corner and tags in Hangman James, and the two of them dish out stomps of their own on Nova. Slate Bass and Eden watch on in horror and plead with the referee, while Damian Axel smiles wickedly and claps for his men.
Pierce Donovan: "It’s about time that Donavon Grayson made that tag to the fresh Hangman James and now they’re giving Nova a taste of her own medicine!"
Jasper Phoenix: "If Grayson hadn’t made that tag, this match could have been over quicker than expected if The Residence had their way!"
Pierce Donovan: "Now it’s Hangman James having his way with Princess Nova!"
James has Nova by the head and starts teeing off on Nova with forearm after forearm, and Nova is reeling from the strikes and James attempts a snap suplex but it’s blocked by Nova’s boot. James attempts once again and this time he gets her up, but Nova flips behind James and quickly counters with a reverse DDT! Nova crawls over to her corner and tags in Slate Bass! Bass enters the ring with fury in his eyes just as James is starting to regain some composure and strikes with a running big boot flush on James’ temple! James stumbles back and bounces off the ropes right into a one-handed spinebuster by Bass and he quickly transitions into a pin attempt!
One…Two…NO!
Pierce Donovan: "Slate Bass nearly putting away Hangman James right there, but somehow Malice stays alive!"
Bass begins to choke James, and after the five count he pushes it a few seconds more for good measure before relinquishing the hold at the risk of being disqualified. James gasps for some air as he tries to recover from that illegal choke. Bass doesn’t allow James to get back on his feet and he applies the Lucky 13 submission! Bass has the Fuller leg lock applied to James, who is trying to hang on and he just manages to do so as he breaks the hold with a snag of the bottom rope.
Pierce Donovan: "Great ring awareness by Hangman James to keep him and Grayson going in this match!"
Jasper Phoenix: "Bass is growing frustrated and as much as I don’t blame him, he can ill afford to further lose his temper or else he can kiss his and Nova’s chances at qualifying for lethal lottery, goodbye!"
Bass has Hangman from behind and attempts back suplex side slam, Hangman slips out of it and he nails Bass in the back of the head with a stiff forearm strike and then he hits a german suplex with a bridge!
One…Two…NO!
Bass kicks out! Both men crawl to their corners and tag in their partners, and Nova comes gunning for Grayson with a flying forearm smash, but Grayson counters with an arm drag! He attempts a repeat but Nova stamps down on his boot! Nova hits a low dropkick on Grayson followed up with a running neckbreaker! Nova props herself on the apron before she strikes with Elevate and ReNovate! She hooks the far leg!
One…Two…NO!
The pin is broken up by Hangman James and Slate Bass enters the fray and nails Hangman with a big boot! He drags Hangman up and with assistance by Nova, they take out Hangman with a wheelbarrow straight into a lungblower! Nova and Bass then bring up Grayson and hit him with Kiss of Eden! Axel hops up on the ring apron and tries to argue with the referee, but he’s tripped up by Eden, who then tosses him right into the barricade! Rose looks like she may interfere but thinks twice about it as Eden glares wickedly at her.
Meanwhile, back in the ring, Nova isn’t done as she applies Queen’s Hand and Grayson has no choice but to submit!
Reina de la Cruz: "The winners of the match, The Residence!"
Despite the bell sounding and their theme music beginning to play, Princess Nova keeps the Queen’s Hand in longer, trying to get Donovan Grayson to pass out to the hold!
Pierce Donovan: And Princess Nova, not settled for the tap out! She wants him to fade!
Jasper Phoenix: Turnabout is fair play, I guess?
Hangman James tries to rush to break it up but Slate Bass immediately comes rushing in and kicks him in the head with a Rocket Kick! Realtà Contorta!
Pierce Donovan: And Hangman trying to make the save runs into Slate’s boot!
Jasper Phoenix: This scene is looking familiar, but with the roles reversed!
Realizing his partners are in danger, Damien Axel rushes the ring and kicks Nova in the face to break the submission before starting to brawl with Slate! The two exchange punches and it seems rather even!
Pierce Donovan: And Damien Axel is trying to even the odds for Malice!
Watching what is going on, rather than getting directly involved, Eden walks over to where Princess Nova is, gathering herself after getting kicked in the face, and whispers something in her TORN Angel’s ear. Nova gets up and immediately kicks Damien Axel below the belt!
Jasper Phoenix: And the kick is good… OUCH!
Falling to his knees, Damien Axel looks up at Slate who simply gives a cold chuckle and clubs him in the back of the head again, and again! Eden, looking to join in on the fun, deicides to go under the ring and grab two chairs under the ring and a picture frame.
Pierce Donovan: You want to talk about it being familiar, Eden has the chairs, just like what Malice tried to use, and she also has a picture frame in hand.
Eden hands a chair to Slate and the other to Nova and they take turns smashing them over the backs of each of the Malice members, the bell is being rung over and over, trying to signal for them to stop, but The Residence keeps it going. Eventually, all three members of Malice are on the floor in pain.
Pierce Donovan: Okay, evening the odds or not, this is hard to watch.
Jasper Phoenix: Well, Malice doing this to The Residence was a big factor in their elimination in the Tag team Turmoil match. This is a taste of their own medicine and there was a question some people were asking. Who was the most deadly trio in all of AMA? I think we found the answer tonight in The Residence.
Pierce Donovan: The three have been together for some time even outside of AMA, but the scary part is that they are just going to get better as they go on.
Jasper Phoenix: Are they favourites to go to the end of Lethal Lottery? I wouldn't bet against it if they can keep this up.
Eventually, Eden whispers something in the ears of both her family members and they get an idea. Eden places a chair on the ground and motions for Princess Nova to get on the top rope. Slate Deadlifts Damien Axel onto his shoulders into a powerbomb position. Nova readies herself, blowing a kiss to Axel before aiding the deadlift powerbomb with a big diving stomp! Damien Axel crashes into the chair below and is crushed from the powerbomb!
Pierce Donovan: A stomp Assisted Bassline onto the chair!
Jasper Phoenix: This is Malice’s Fall from Glory!
The fans give a somewhat mixed response to The Residence, a group which is loved and hated in equal measure. The trio stands up and… Eden has a wicked smirk on her face. She whispers something again to Slate Bass and Princess Nova and the two begin dragging Malice towards the center of the ring as Eden leaves the ring and grabs… Hangman’s noose and Damien Axel’s mask. She rolls into the ring as all three Malice members are primed for a “family photo.”
Pierce Donovan: And adding insult to injury, they are taken a family photo… just like what they did to the trio they demolished in their debut.
Eden goes to Donovan Grayson and removes his knee pad. Slate holds up the frame and bends down, putting the noose on his shoulder. Nova grabs the hockey mask and holds it next to her face, giving a big grin. Eden dangles the knee pad in front of the face of Grayson as they “pose” for a picture together.
Jasper Phoenix: And another one for the scrapbook… and the scrap pile.
They drop the frame and, curiously, they keep the “trophies,” they just stole, and head out of the ring and up the aisle way connecting the stage to the middle of the pool. Some AMA staff come down to the ring to check up on Malice as the scene fades.
Back in the medical room, we see Brandon Roberts sitting on an examiner’s table, getting the “blood” washed off of him. The doctor has a small sanitized cloth and is cleaning him. The red is mostly washed away and His t-shirt he had made for himself is now in the trash, covered in blood as even some of the red splashes on the white walls of the room. Brandon Roberts is seething, muttering to himself while the doctor cleans him.
Brandon Roberts: Stupid clown, stupid clown from Mexico! I’m already annoyed at America, do you want me to get on Mexico’s ass too!?
The doctor backs up.
Doctor: Brandon, would you please calm down, I don’t even think it’s genuine bloo-
The Canadian cuts him off, pissed.
Brandon Roberts: Zip it, hoser! Just finish cleaning, I don’t want the ref thinking I’m already bleeding and make me lose by default!
Rolling his eyes, the doctor continues to clean him and just about finishes up cleaning his face. Then, footsteps are heard storming in the room. The doctor turns to his side and taps Brandon on the shoulder.
Doctor: Excuse me, I believe this is for you.
Turning to his side, Brandon Roberts sees a familiar person with a backwards baseball cap, and greasy hair. It is Jake Wakefield. He cracks his neck before addressing Brandon.
Jake Wakefield: Well, well, well, look who it is! Brandy boy getting checked because he got a little blood in his eye!
Brandon Roberts glares.
Brandon Roberts: Excuse me. It wasn’t a little, it was an entire bloodbath! That crazy clown was trying to drown me! He probably got it all from a pig, the sick man!
Jake Wakefield: That’s weak! You’re embarrassing yourself…
Jake points his finger towards Brandon Roberts.
Jake Wakefield: And the entire Cutter family!
Brandon points to his chest.
Brandon Roberts: Me? Come on, haven’t you heard the chants-
Shouting, Jake startles Brandon
Jake Wakefield: Shut up and listen! Because how do you feel being an embarrassment? It’s been going on for long enough and do you really think Sean Cutter really is willing to put up with such failure over and over again? You’ve been pathetic!
The words sting for Brandon as he stares, fuming, and listens to Jake’s rant.
Jake Wakefield: You have the chance to finally get rid of Circo von shithead after he’s been such a thorn in our side for months and months. Remember how you failed to prevent him from sticking his nose in the Buried alive match? And how he was involved in Missandry’s mission? And you and Blake failed to stop it? He should still be rotting in that boiler room! You’ve broken Cutter’s trust!
Brandon Roberts: Maybe I have made some mistakes? Fine! I’ll say it! I've had some rough moments as of late, are you happy now!?
Brandon snaps back.
Brandon Roberts: But that doesn’t mean I’m worthless. Have you been pulling your weight truly? Last time I checked, you’re not even booked tonight! Not much of a “Gatekeeper” are you? You’re not even good enough for the “Try before you buy” match! You’re worth less than a Fast Food Mascot and a walking sign of America’s Obesity!
Jake puts his tongue in his cheek, surprised Brandon even tried to stand up for himself, but he just presses on delivering a final message.
Jake Wakefield: This isn’t about me. This is about you and you’re on your last rope, buddy. Your first blood match is your last chance. Finish that freak! Finish him or those shitty “Let’s Go, Brandon” chants will become the least of your worries because they can’t cheer for a man who’s stuck in the hospital drinking from a straw!
He gets close to Brandon’s face and the normally loud Brandon Roberts, is silent and just gives a dirty glare back. Slowly, Jake Wakefield backs up and then heads out of the room, leaving his words to weigh Brandon down before his match.
Belly Boy and Burgerman are standing in the ring joined by two stooges one wearing a Burger King Mask and the other a Ronald McDonald Mask with the four waiting for their opponents in tonight’s contest the debuting The High Command to make their way out from the back - as STUPID by Ashnikko feat. Yung Baby Tate begins to play throughout Club La Vela as The Kommander of The High Command, Garrbadgge Von Truck would emerge with a noticeable decal sprayed onto his head piece in white paint reading ‘Anti-Burger League.’ Von Truck continues to walk towards the ring, but remains outside of it as he begins to speak.
Garrbadgge Von Truck: Well, well, well what do we have here. It looks like we have Reginald McDougal, The Burger Count, Belly Bounce and the Burgermeister all standing in the ring in front of right now, ja? Four absolute fools who think they are capable of changing the world, but all they do is spend their days eating far too much junk food and not enjoying the healthy balanced diets of the four main food groups.
Burgerman and Belly Boy both look annoyed by what the Kommander is saying, as he continues on speaking.
Garrbadgge Von Truck: And I am sure you have noticed tonight I have come out as a representative of the ‘Anti-Burger League’ and that what you both thought was part of your active imaginations, but here I am standing in front of you. You’re invisible enemy. Fear me - for I am a righteous and a loving Kommander, but you are my enemy and so I am left with no choice but to stamp down on your throats until all the air leaves your lungs and you lie motionless at my feet.
Burgerman would look annoyed, as he would climb through the ropes and grab the microphone out of Von Truck’s hand.
Burgerman: Finally you reveal yourself, villian!
Meanwhilst in the ring, Ronald McDoland and Burger King stooges removes their mask only to reveal themselves as none other than Archie Jones and Sir Marmaduke Whistle as the pair would totally catch Belly Boy surprised, but the referee would call for the bell to officially start the contest. Before Belly Boy could offer a response, Whistle would use all his strength to lift up Belly Boy with The High Command nailing him with Here Comes The Lame (Dudley Death Drop). Burgerman would turn to ring realizing what was going on, only for Von Truck to carry on speaking.
Garrbadgge Von Truck: Don’t you want to know who my benefactor is? Don’t you want to know who is the man who pulls the string behind the curtain and controls the ‘Anti-Burger League’.
Whistle and Jones had clambered up onto opposite turnbuckles and would leap off and crash down on top of Belly Boy with Double Diving Leg Drop, a move they called the ‘Double Hemispheres’. Burgerman was unaware of what was taking place in the ring though, as all of his focus was on Von Truck.
Burgerman: Tell me! You must tell me in the name of all things meat based within the confines of a burger bun who is the ring leader.
Whistle and Jones had dragged Belly Boy up to his feet, only to nail their XXXL man with the TKNO! (Assisted Swinging Neckbreaker), before both men would dogpile on top of Belly Boy as the referee would make the three count and earn The High Command a debut victory - with Burgerman still focused on Von Truck.
Garrbadgge Von Truck: The leader behind the ‘Anti-Burger League’ is you.
Before Burgerman has any time to react though, he is knocked to the mat by Von Truck with a headbutt that drops him to the entrance ramp as Von Truck and The High Command make their way towards the back.
Back in the hallways of the area which is reserved for backstage, we see Brian Zewbowski leaning his head against the wall on his forearm. He is in his gear, ready for his tag team match later tonight. But there is a question of how mentally prepared he is. Eyes closed, Brian is in thought, thinking about how close he was to beating the man who would go on to be champion. He’s held titles throughout his entire career, but why does this loss sting more? Getting off of the wall, he runs his hands through his hair and paces back and forth. He speaks to himself:
Brian Zewbowski: Brian, clean slate tonight. You’re teaming with Aka Yurei, we’re going to right the ship, get back on track.
Brian stops his pacing for a second and is about to head down the hallway until we hear the clattering of high heels, Brian looks down the hall to see approaching him again, Princess Nova. Changed out of her gear after the beating The Residence gave to Malice after their match, she has a proper violet Princess dress on which goes down to her shins, tiara on her head. She happily hums as her gloved hands hold in her grasp, a purple present box with a lavender bow.
Brian Zewbowski: Well, look who it is again? Her royal highness herself.
Brian checks over his shoulder and Princess Nova giggles.
Princess Nova: Hello once again Mr. Zewbowski! What’s wrong? Scared?
Brian Zewbowski: Excuse me for being a little suspicious considering your business with Malice recently and their… obsession with me.
Being the courteous Princess she is, Nova curtsies and grins.
Princess Nova: I can assure you that I come in peace again. As the Bassignani Family’s TORN Angel, I am not just a protector, but a messenger of peace.
Being a bit blunt, Brian responds.
Brian Zewbowski: I know I’ve had quite a lot on my mind recently, but I have been trying to pay attention to you since your little welcoming message a few months ago. You guys have caused a little trouble with Malice since, and have dragged my name a bit in that.
Keeping her polite grin, Nova responds.
Princess Nova: Simply a means to an end. Malice are ruthless, anger filled individuals, but mentally weak and we knew how to use that against them. Just so happens it included your name and imagery. Nothing personal, but I’m sure with your history…
Princess Nova’s voice goes cold for a second.
Princess Nova: You’d understand better than anyone else…
Then she giggles and brings her smile back. Having a long glance at Princess Nova, Brian is unsure whether to trust this devious woman. His eyes go towards the present box Nova holds.
Brian Zewbowski: Maybe... I’ve done my fair share over the years. But I’m also a little suspicious when someone brings me an unmarked present box after all of that. What’s inside?
Princess Nova calmly places the box on the ground at Brian’s feet.
Princess Nova: That’s a surprise. But it's a gift.
Brian gently kicks the box and it is not too heavy, moving with ease.
Brian Zewbowski: Maybe it would be better to get security to check this…
Princess Nova: Rest assured, nothing is harmful in there, you have my word. But if it puts you at ease, it is a token. A token of what? You’ll find out.
Once again, Princess Nova curtsies to Brian Zewbowski.
Princess Nova: Good luck in your contest later tonight.
Then the TORN Angel of The Residence walks away. Brian watches as she leaves before looking down at the box. Slowly he undoes the bow on top and lifts the box to see the contents. His eyes open wide and his hands grabs two things from it. First is a knee pad, and the other… an old-school hockey mask.
Brian Zewbowski: Damien and Donovan. Hmm.
Putting the two items down, he reaches in and pulls out… part of Hangman James’ noose. The rope is ripped, only leaving the loop. Then, he sees at the bottom of the box, a piece of paper with writing on it in cursive. Taking it out of the box, he reads it.
Brian Zewbowski: “Even the tightest of knots come loose one day…”
Shaking his head, he crumples up the paper and tosses it down into the box.
Brian Zewbowski: What do those three want from me? Something's fishy...
He mutters to himself. Then, he takes a longer look at the items stolen by the Residence from Malice, three men that worship his alter ego. The Residence did this to all three of them? Is he next? Getting up, Brian simply walks away, those questions in his head, as the scene fades.
Monstruo del Circo vs. Brandon Roberts (w/Sean Cutter Jr.)
First Blood
As the bell rings, Brandon Roberts just grins across the ring at Monstruo del Circo. The crowd is firmly in Circo's corner after he took out Blake Justice in the boiler room brawl at Manifest Destiny. Roberts taunts the crowd, and talks some trash with his attention away from his opponent before he's throttled to the side of the head with a vicious elbow strike. Roberts checks the side of his head with his fingers to make sure he's not bleeding after the strike. Circo pushes him in to the corner and delivers a flurry of loud stiff punches to the body.
Pierce Donovan: Listen to the thud of those strikes. Roberts is too concerned flaunting off to the crowd. He should keep his attention on Circo who won't take him lightly.
Jasper Phoenix: Especially after that boiler room brawl, Pierce. Seems Roberts is just trying to tick him off even further. Let's see how that plays out for him.
Pierce Donovan: Not very nicely I'd imagine, Jasper.
Circo momentarily eases off and looks towards the crowd who cheer. This brief pause allows Roberts an opening who delivers a knee to the gut to Circo. They switch positions in the corner, and now Roberts is firmly in control who mounts the corner to deliver 10 stiff punches. Trying to make Circo bleed.
Sean Cutter Jr is clapping on the outside with a smile on his face. The crowd boos loudly at this whole exchange, Roberts is loving it as he continues to taunt the crowd and does a mocking fake cry to the fans jeering at him.
Brandon Roberts: Aww, what's wrong?
Pierce Donovan: Look at that grin on Sean Cutter Jr's face, he's loving this.
Jasper Phoenix: As is Roberts, but this is just giving Circo valuable time to recover.
Roberts delivers some brutal looking elbows to the top of the head as the ref pleads with him to no avail. He eventually obliges on his own volition and brings Circo out of the corner. As Circo is reeling and still trying to get his bearings, Roberts delivers a spin kick to the stomach and then a massive elbow to the face which drops Circo to the ring mat.
Pierce Donovan: I'm surprised nobody is bleeding yet, Jasper.
Jasper Phoenix: It's going to take a lot more than that to break Circo, Pierce. He went to hell and back in that boiler room, hell, maybe he never even left.
Pierce Donovan: A match like that changes a man.
Roberts is once again taunting away at the crowd. He points down at Circo and laughs.
Brandon Roberts: This is your guy?
As Roberts is busy toying around, Circo is slowly rising to his feet. Sean Cutter Jr is trying to warn Roberts on the outside until he finally turns around and is greeted by a very intense Circo who stares him down with evil intentions in mind.
Jasper Phoenix: I know where we've seen that look before, Pierce.
Pierce Donovan: Remember what type of match this is, Jasper. Somebody is going to bleed tonight.
Circo launches at Roberts like a wild animal delivering punishing blows all over his body as Roberts is trying to hold his arms out to protect himself from bleeding. As Circo is pounding away at Roberts leaning in to the ropes, Sean Cutter Jr gets up on the apron pleading with him which diverts Circo's attention. Sean Cutter Jr backs down slowly as Circo just glares at him with fury in his eyes. He releases his grip on Roberts. He makes his way to the outside and is eyeing up Cutter Jr some more.
Jasper Phoenix: What was Cutter thinking getting up on the ropes like that.
Pierce Donovan: Clearly he wasn't thinking, Jasper.
Cutter Jr gets the hell out of the way as Circo begins to dig under the ring for anything he can find. He tosses out a kendo stick, chair and a barbed wire bat. The crowd roars loudly with cheers at the sight of the barbed wire. Circo grabs a hold of the barbed wire bat, lifts it up and points it towards Roberts who is reeling in the ring, the crowd cheers even loudly. 'Circo' chants can be heard flowing through the stands.
Pierce Donovan: This is getting ugly, Jasper.
Jasper Phoenix: Circo isn't just intending to make Roberts bleed a little tonight.
As Circo makes his way on to the apron with a bat in hand, the sound of a crack hits him from behind. Cutter Jr is standing there with kendo stick in hand.
Pierce Donovan: That was not a smart idea.
Circo looks on at Cutter Jr incredibly agitated but before he can do anything is suddenly hit from the side with a massive dive as Roberts charges at him through the ropes. Both men collide, and fall to the ground on the outside. Cutter Jr has a massive smile on his face and is clapping wildly again, he lifts up the kendo stick taunting the crowd who boo him loudly. Roberts starts getting up and is also laughing to himself. He looks at Cutter Jr as they both look down at the barbed wire bat, cackling to themselves like a pair of hyenas. Roberts picks it up and swings it around.
Brandon Roberts: This what you want, huh?
The sound of the boos coming from the crowd is defeaning. Roberts is sizing up Circo with the bat as he places it above Circo's head.
Jasper Phoenix: Oh come on, this is too much. He's going to kill him.
Pierce Donovan: I think we're past making reasonable decisions here, Jasper. It's a damn miracle neither of these men have bled yet.
Jasper Phoenix: Look at that smile on their faces, they're loving this. Sick, twisted!
As Roberts is lifting up the bat and the crowd gasps, Circo out of nowhere delivers a low blow. Cutter Jr is completely in shock and slowly backs away out of sight. Circo is enraged as the crowd erupts once more in to cheers. Roberts is groaning on the ground in agony as Circo begins to stomp away at him like crazy with each stomp getting more aggressive than the last. He picks up the chair and delivers a bunch of sickening chair shots to the back. The crowd counts at first, but then loses track as Circo just keeps pounding away with the chair. He drops the chair, and grabs a hold of the barbed wire bat.
Monstruo del Circo: IT'S TIME TO BLEED!
Jasper Phoenix: Roberts asked for it, he got it.
Pierce Donovan: Circo doesn't just want to make him bleed. He wants to make sure he can't move after this. He's ticked off!
Circo lifts Roberts up by his neck, he places the bat in front of his face. Some of the crowd can be seen looking away as they all know what's coming next. Circo begins to drag the barbed wire all across Roberts' face. The ref is looking on in total shock wanting to end this. Roberts begins to bleed like crazy as the ref immediately calls for the match to end. The crowd cheers loudly, but Circo isnt finished and it's almost like the sound of the bell ringing doesn't even register for him. He's still scraping the barbed wire across Roberts' face as he begins to bleed buckets. Cutter Jr looks on clearly wanting to interfere and put a stop to it, but Circo has firmly got him in his sights.
Circo finally lets up and holds the bat up high, dripping with blood. The crowd is completely loving it. Circo wipes the blood from Roberts on to him. As Monstruo del Circo has his hand raised, the official takes another look at Brandon Roberts on the ground, blood gushing from his face, and he goes down to check on him. Sean Cutter Jr can be seen rushing over to Roberts who is barely responsive after the hellacious attack at the end.
Pierce Donovan: That was hard to watch but Circo showed tonight why he's not somebody to be messed with in AMA.
Jasper Phoenix: Roberts will think twice next time acting the way he did in this match. Circo is not somebody you tick off, and get away with it unscathed.
Pierce Donovan: Monstruo del Circo is victorious in this violent first blood match and Brandon Roberts is cut up bad!
Jasper Phoenix: The saving grace is that the match is over and he can be checked up on by AMA officials. I’ve seen people be cut up like that before and still have half the match left.
The Mexican Death Clown raises his hands up high on the turnbuckle as his music plays, but takes a glance towards Brandon Roberts, a man he went to war with, and the state he is in. Could there be a touch of remorse? Monstruo del Circo simply rolls out of the ring as… the fans attention is diverted towards the stage where we see… Mary Cherry?!
Pierce Donovan: "Merry" Cherry!? The Woman Steve Sanders thought to be his “divinity.”
Jasper Phoenix: I think times up on Brandon Roberts…
Flanked behind her we see Jake Wakefield and the bodyguard of Steve Sanders. The trio walks from the stage area, down the unique ramp for the show over the pool, and towards the ringside area. She licks her lips as the big brutish bodyguard rolls into the ring and stands between Cutter Jr and the aching Brandon Roberts. Sean tries to get around him, but his hulking grip is used to grab both his arms from behind!
Pierce Donovan: Let go of him! Stay out of this! Brandon lost, he gushing! That’s more than enough!
Jasper Phoenix: They do not accept failure, Pierce.
The woman believed to be Sander’s “Divinity” gets into the ring as Jake Wakefield grabs from under the ring… a cinder block!
Pierce Donovan: A cinder block!?
Jasper Phoenix: They are going to crush his skull!
Jake slides into the ring and places the cinder block down, pulling Brandon Roberts head over it. As he is being held, Brandon Roberts pleads with Cherry and Wakefield. “I’m sorry! Give me another chance! You try making that monster bleed!”
Pierce Donovan: This is going to be hard to watch.
While watching this, Monstruo del Circo appears conflicted. He made Brandon bleed. He doesn’t like the arrogant Canadian. But this? Reluctantly, Monstruo del Circo hits the ring!
Pierce Donovan: And an unlikely saviour!
Circo pushes Jake Wakefield off of Brandon and gets in his face! He’s standing up for Brandon Roberts. He is about to throw a punch at Wakefield, but Mary Cherry steps between them!
Jasper Phoenix: Cherry steps in! Hit her!
Pierce Donovan: What is this woman going to do?
Monstruo del Circo hesitates for a quick moment then….
Cherry shoots mist in his face!
Pierce Donovan: Mist coming from the mouth of Cherry!
Jasper Phoenix: Disgusting!
Monstruo del Circo is blinded as Jake Wakefield picks up the cinderblock and smashes it over Monstruo del Circo’s head!
Pierce Donovan: Jesus hell…
Monstruo del Circo falls down to the mat unconscious, rubble from the block over his body! Sean Cutter Jr finally breaks free of the Bodyguard’s grip before Jake Wakefield gangs up on him too, kicking him in the gut and he and the bodyguard club his back! Jake helps push Sean Cutter Jr in a powerbomb position from the Big man and he lifts Sean up, sending him over the top rope and crashing to the outside!
Pierce Donovan: NO! Powerbomb to the floor!
With Sean Cutter Jr taken care of, Mary Cherry hands a weapon to Jake… a spike. Licking his chops, Jake Wakefield grabs the object and top mounts Brandon Roberts, driving the metal into his forehead repeatedly!
Pierce Donovan: STOP IT! STOP THIS!
Jasper Phoenix is speechless as he watches as the metal spike causes an even greater gash to form for Brandon Roberts! The fans gasp in horror as Jake Wakefield finally gets up, blood now on the spike, as he holds it up next to his face with a glee-filled grin. The bodyguard rolls Brandon Roberts to his stomach and holds him up, letting Jake Wakefield drive his face into the mat with a Curb Stomp!
Jasper Phoenix: Hellbound!
The bodyguard picks him up again and Jake Wakefield hits a second Hellbound! Blood is now imprinted on the mat as Jake backs up for a third…
And finally security and medics rush from backstage and head towards the ring. Realizing they made their message, the three head out of the ring. Doctors immediately head to check on all three people knocked down on the outside as security stands between them for protection. Jake Wakefield grabs a microphone and walks around the ring so that he can get a closer look at Brandon Roberts.
Jake Wakefield: Consider this a lesson, Brandon. You’re not good enough. You need to be retrained. A training process that will be painful. But don’t worry, pain is a blessing in disguise. Let this be a reminder to you and everyone. Never step out of line with the Circle of the Black Thorn. Enjoy the hospital, Brandon!
Jake throws the microphone down to a chorus of boos as the three head up the ramp. The medics check up on Brandon as the segment fades.
Cutting to the backstage area, we’re greeted with the sight of AMA backstage correspondent, Mona Darling, standing in front of a backdrop that features both the AMA and Saint Patrick’s Day PPV logos.
Mona Darling: Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s been an absolute rollercoaster of a show so far, and given the ups and downs that my guests experienced during their AMA debuts at Manifest Destiny, I imagine that this rollercoaster will continue going into and through their match with The Northern Touch later on in the evening, so with that said, please help me in welcoming AMA wrestling’s #1 ranked tag team, Bret and Bellatrix Bordeaux!
The camera pans, allowing Bret Bordeaux and his dotty younger sister Bellatrix to enter the frame. Wearing their ring attire, ready for their impending battle with The Northern Touch later in the evening, Bret has an air of excitement and focus about him as he jumps on the spot, seemingly getting himself warmed up in preparation for the coming conflict. Trixie, on the other hand, looks nervous and confused as she almost hides behind her brother while occasionally looking over her shoulder, seemingly anticipating trouble.
Mona Darling: First off, I think I speak for every single AMA fan when I say congratulation on an incredible debut performance at Manifest Destiny. The heart and perseverance you guys showed to beat both The Residence AND The Northern Touch back to back to win the tag team gauntlet was inspirational, so I guess my first question is, how does it feel to be standing here today as the #1 ranked team in all of AMA Wrestling?
Bret, an excited smile on his face, responds.
Bret Bordeaux: You know, Darling, it feels pretty damn good. The hard work we put into that matchup paid off. I mean, Trix and I are still learning how to use our talents to see success in the ring as a team, and our first outing went exactly as I hoped. I'm not gonna stand here and say it was the prettiest win, though, and the stunts Northern Touch tried to pull definitely showed us who they are. So tonight, we're looking to show them exactly who WE are.
He pats his sister's arm.
Bret Bordeaux: Right, Trix?
The pat on the arm startles the seemingly hyperalert Trixie, who jumps at the touch before turning to face Bret, her eyes wide and her movements jerky as she responds, her entire body frozen in a cartoonish looking fighting stance.
Bellatrix Bordeaux: What was that!?
With Trixie’s startlement having startled both Bret and Mona, they stare at Trixie worryingly before Mona attempts to continue the interview.
Mona Darling: Um, I was asking how it feels to be the #1 tag team in AMA, having won the gauntlet match on your debut. Also, given that it was your first EVER match in professional wrestling, how was it competing in front of thousands of people and did you enjoy the experience?
Having had a moment to realise that nobody’s trying to attack her, Trixie exits out of her fighting stance. She calms herself, if ever so slightly, before responding, looking back and forth between Bret and Mona as she speaks, seemingly looking for help.
Bellatrix Bordeaux: Oh, um…so, what do I say?
Bret pats his sister on the shoulder in an attempt to put her at ease.
Bret Bordeaux: You answer the question, Trix. How did it feel to win your debut?
Before Trixie can answer, we hear a loud Germanic voice resonating from somewhere out of camera view.
???: Lookey lookey - it’s the Boredom Babies, Ja? The uber tag team in AMA.
Coming in from the side, we see the two masked, well, buffoons who made their debut on the show by defeating Burgertown, Archie Jones, and Sir Marmaduke Whistle, The High Command. They almost tap-dance their way onto the screen, with their leader, Garrbadgge Von Truck, in tow. The Bordeaux siblings, along with Mona Darling, look on in astonishment as Von Truck, the source of the loud Germanic ruckus, continues.
Garrbadgge Von Truck: The best team in the division? Number one ranked? What a load of scheisse wasser - my ears are filled with, how do you say in English? - liquid shit. My two loyalists are no scared of no edge lord pansies, ja. They have hearts of iron and will not bend the knee to pretenders and phoneys.
Bret lets out a quick chuckle and positions himself between the interrupting High Command and his sister, who has readopted her fighting stance in anticipation of being attacked by these strangers. Bret brushes his nose with his thumb and looks at Garrbagge.
Bret Bordeaux: Ya know, I'm kinda having trouble focusing on whatever you just said because my nose is just overloaded by the smell of B.O coming off you three dorks.
He eyes both Jones and Whistle.
Bret Bordeaux: Yeah, speaking of liquid shit, I bet it's coming from both your tights.
Von Truck shakes his head the entire time Bret is speaking - before raising his hand almost as if he is telling THC behind him to hold position.
Garrbadgge Von Truck: Brother and sister? Husband and wife? I believe the phrase the Doctor's use is - normal for Norwich - but in Frankfurt we say between two bits of bread, ja? You two better return to your hotel room and squeeze out another kinder, ja?
Jones and Whistle can be heard softly chuckling to themselves.
Bret opens his mouth to respond, but before he can get a word out, his battle-ready sister interjects, her face housing equal parts fear, anticipation and puzzlement.
Bellatrix Bordeaux: Uh, Mr Trash Can person…are you and your friends gonna beat us up like those mean, ugly Canadian people did last month?
The peculiar Garbadgge Von Truck gives a hearty laugh which echoes through the mask.
Garrbadgge Von Truck: Don’t get your panties in a twist. We will take our leave for now.
Then the three strange masked people let outlaugh before heading off, with Von Truck whistling the German national anthem to himself. Trixie tilts her head in confusion, and Bret matches, furrowing his brow before yelling out suddenly.
Bret Bordeaux: WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKING DORKS!
The outburst surprises Trixie, who’s taken back.
Bellatrix Bordeaux: E-Excuse me?
Bret shakes his head and looks around in disbelief, half-heartedly throwing his hands up by accident. He even hard eyes the camera for a split second before he clears his throat and taps his sister's shoulder.
Bret Bordeaux: Remember how people picked on us as kids and called you “weird?” Well, those three bozos have made you the most normal one out there.
Trixie takes the compliment and claps to herself, but then… something doesn’t click, and she responds.
Bellatrix Bordeaux: But, what do you mean by that? And, I have another question. It’s about what Cali said on Twitter. What’s BD-
Cutting off his sister before she asks a very… NSFW question, he just motions.
Bret Bordeaux: Just, let’s go…before the three stooges come back.
Leading his sister down the hallway, the segment fades away.
“Dancing Mad” plays as Humanity enters from the back, wearing his blood-red tights with black "Effigy of Death" written on the back, he's wearing a Humanity "Effigy of Death" T-Shirt. Followed behind him is his tag team partner and student, Aka Yurei. Aka postures for the fans before she follows her mentor to the ring.
Reina de la Cruz: “From The Gates of Hades, weighing 260 pounds, he is "The Effigy of Death", Humanity! And his tag team partner, from Seattle, Washington and weighing in at 127 lb, she is “The Crimson Ghost”...Aka Yurei!”
Pierce Donovan: “Talk about a dangerous and deadly duo, especially with Humanity having taken over for tonight to be at Aka’s side.”
Jasper Phoenix: “This whole vibe gives me the creeps but I must admit that they are a formidable force.”
“Down in Texas” now plays and Liberty Olivera Lawrenson wastes no time walking out and heading directly to the ring, while her partner for the evening, Tetsuo Ishii, chooses to do his signature shrug pose and play up to the fans.
Reina de la Cruz: “Next up, weighing in at a combined weight of 348 lb, the team of “The King of Job Style” Tetsuo Ishii & “The Southern Succubus” Liberty Olivera Lawrenson!”
Pierce Donovan: “An odd pairing if I ever saw one but both competitors are hungry and capable of big things!”
Jasper Phoenix: “Ishii sure doesn’t look hungry!”
Pierce Donovan: “It would certainly be an upset if these two were able to pull off a win tonight over Humanity and Yurei.”
Jasper Phoenix: “Crazier things have happened but I sincerely doubt their chances, Pierce.”
Liberty ignores her partner and opts to start the match against Aka Yurei. The referee checks both women before calling for the bell.
DING! DING! DING!
Liberty wastes no time as she locks up with Aka and spins around with a rear waistlock, but Aka beneath Liberty between her legs and applies her waistlock to Liberty, yet this time it’s Liberty that blocks it and then she takes Aka by the arm and twists it before wrenching it back behind her with a rear hammerlock. Aka, however, fights back by throwing back some elbow strikes that force Liberty to relinquish the hold and Aka doubles Liberty over with a spinning low back kick square in the midsection! Aka takes Liberty and sends her off the ropes and she takes Liberty off of her feet with a hip attack off of the rebound! Aka nails a jumping knee drop on the downed Liberty before bringing her back up and Aka attempts a snap suplex, but Liberty blocks and connects with her own to Aka!
Pierce Donovan: “Liberty is attempting to mount a comeback of sorts after Aka dominated the early happenings of the match.”
Aka is quick to her feet but she’s doubled over by Liberty with a spinning heel kick! Liberty then expertly takes Aka down with a double knee facebuster! Liberty then quickly applies a rear chin lock to Aka.
Pierce Donovan: “Liberty is now trying to slow the pace down some and also she tries to wear down her opponent.”
Jasper Phoenix: “Aka was off to a hot start but Liberty brought that to a screeching halt!”
The sold out crowd is trying to will on Aka, who is trying her hardest to fight out of the rear chin lock, but Liberty refuses to let up. Aka does begin to slowly rise up while Liberty maintains her grip on the hold, but Aka doubles her over with several back elbows forcing Liberty to release. Aka runs the ropes with a clothesline attempt, but Liberty counters with an arm-drag takedown! Liberty wrenches away now with another hammerlock applied on Aka, while also driving her knee down forcefully onto Aka’s face. Aka is writhing and flailing about until she snags the bottom rope to break the hold, and begrudgingly, Liberty releases the hold. Liberty begins to stalk Aka from behind while Aka uses the ropes as her leverage, but she senses danger behind her so hits a spinning back elbow that stuns Liberty! Aka then strikes with a roundhouse kick that knocks Liberty off her feet momentarily. Liberty struggles back up, but from behind Aka drops her with a tiger suplex!
Pierce Donovan: “Aka finally mounts a comeback and she makes that hot tag to Humanity!”
Jasper Phoenix: “Liberty will be in dire straits if she doesn’t make that tag to Ishii!”
Liberty is unaware of Humanity’s presence in the ring until Humanity traps her in a rear waistlock and takes her down with a bridging german suplex!
One…Two…NO!
Liberty kicks out and rolls to her side and looks over to her tag team partner, who is eagerly wanting that tag, and reluctantly she tags him in just in time before Humanity can prevent her from doing so. Ishii charges in and takes down Humanity with a shoulder tackle! He follows up with another shoulder tackle and he’s feeding off of the energy from the fans as he poses for them, much to Liberty’s dismay who tells him to focus, and he does turn around but it’s too late as Humanity clobbers him with a running lariat!
Jasper Phoenix: “If that dope hadn’t been so busy fooling around and showboating, that wouldn’t have happened to him!”
Pierce Donovan: “He just couldn’t resist, Jasper, but it did ultimately cost him.”
Humanity hits a leg drop for good measure before making the cover!
One…Two…NO!
Ishii kicks out and rolls over on his side until he’s on all fours, which leaves him wide open for Humanity to strike with a soccer kick straight into the midsection! Ishii writhes around on the mat, clutching at his stomach. Humanity drags him back to his feet and forces him into his neutral corner where he makes the tag to Aka, and the two of them double team Ishii in the corner with several kicks before dragging him out and together they hit a double suplex before Aka covers him once more!
One…Two…NO!
The tag back to Humanity and Humanity hits a running big boot to Ishii, who had been propped up by Aka. Humanity throws Ishii in the corner and goes to work on with several boxing punches that wear The Agent of Love, and then Humanity finishes him off with a shining wizard/bulldog combination!
One…Two…NO!
Humanity tags Aka back in the ring and Aka quickly applies a headscissors to Ishii, and Ishii is scrambling to reach out for the bottom rope and he just barely does so in time! Aka brings Ishii back to his feet, but he counters with a jawbreaker that stuns Aka! Ishii stumbles over and tags in Liberty! Liberty charges in and takes down Aka with a clothesline! Liberty then wears down Aka with several muay thai elbow strikes before taking Aka down with a cutter! Liberty now has Aka in her sights for Static Electricity, but she goes for the move; it's ducked by Aka and Aka counters with Vengeful Strike! Poison frankensteiner by Aka! Instead of going for the pin, Aka rolls over and makes the tag to Humanity!
Pierce Donovan: “The tag is made to Humanity, this can’t be good for Liberty!”
Liberty is struggling to get back up and she’s on one knee when she senses imminent danger and she narrowly avoids the shining wizard from Humanity! She clubs him from behind and hits a backstabber on him! She’s calling for the finish now and she’s ready to put him away when Ishii tags himself in much to her utter dismay, and Ishii ignores her pleas as he charges in off the tag and he goes for a spear but Humanity moves out of the way and Ishii crashes into the turnbuckle shoulder first! Humanity tags in Aka, who lies in wait as Ishii stumbles out of the corner..The Soul Crusher! Jumping double foot stomp! Aka makes the pin and Liberty makes no attempt to break it up…
One…Two…Three!
Creeping back to the locker room area, we peep the Diamond Breaker, Killer Kandi, lacing up her boots on the bench in front of his locker, reflecting on her loss to Max Maverick. What was a career defining moment had passed her by, having lost her chance at becoming the Grand Champion in the Gold Rush Tournament at Manifest Destiny, she contemplates if she possibly could have done anything differently. Out of the corner of the camera we see the sinister henchwoman herself, Misandry, step into frame, Kandi's defenses come up attempting to avoid a confrontation she is in no mood for, she addresses her former compatriot.
Misandry: Well, we’ll, we’ll look at who the cat dragged in. If it isn’t miss I don’t need nobody’s help. How’d that work out for ya?
Killer Kandi: Are you just here to run my nose in it like a spoiled kitty?
Misandry: Not at all. I’m honestly just trying to hold up the mirror to show you what you’ve become, what you once were and what you could be again.
Killer Kandi: And how do we get there? I came this close to championship gold and choked. I should have had Max Maverick. He’s such a weasel.
Misandry: Does that make you angry? Is your blood boiling at the thought of lesser men being given more time airtime than you? More opportunities, being protected and practically awarded their spot on the card while you have bite, scratch and claw your way to even be seen?
Killer Kandi: Of course, I’m furious. I’ve been an afterthought since joining this federation and I’m a generational talent, goddamn it. How do I get my respect?
Misandry: You need to stop fighting me and let me bring back your killer instinct and that warrior spirit buried inside my friend. I know she’s in there.
Killer Kandi: what do you want me to say I’m sorry? I need your help? Please, try to murder a clown for my career or whatever else these men expect of you.
Misandry: Do you not understand the strings I’ve been pulling behind the scenes for you all along? Why Pierre strangely disappeared without a trace? We make a good team you and I and I’ve been willing to be a pawn in the man’s game to get you see it.
Killer Kandi: Wait, what? What do you mean? What have you done with him? Is he all right?
Misandry: Don’t play coy with me now. You accused me immediately of being behind it, but you moved right along to the semifinals without a second thought because dele down inside you knew it needed to be done. We need to stop letting second-rate men steal our thunder.
Killer Kandi: You know what, fuck it. I’m done playing by the rules set by the boy’s club. Let’s reset the damn board and just when they think it’s checkers, we’re playing chess.
Misandry: That’s my girl, no queen. Fuck the Patriarchy, the Matriarchy will rise in the AMA. Boys, run.
The lights in the arena go out as Ready Set Let's Go starts its first chords. The AMA fans at Club La Viva give a good cheer as the endearing siblings did an amazing upset win in their debut. As the music begins to rise in sound the camera sweeps in up the aisle as a spotlight comes in on two people standing at the center of the stage. Bret, crouched, swaying with the ever fastening tempo. Bellatrix, standing behind him, holding a hand up over her eyes as she fights off the blinding spotlight. The music finally kicks into full gear around the 13 second mark and Bret slams a fist down, popping up and spinning with the music. The lights shoot on as he leaps, flashing with red and white colors. Bret lands with his back to the crowd and spreads his arms, walking backwards down the ramp as Bellatrix follows, confused from his movements.
Reina de la Cruz: The following match is a Lethal Lottery Qualifying match, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at a combined weight of 369 pounds, the team of Bellatrix and Bret Bordeaux!
The eldest Bordeaux spins back around and stops. Looking over the crowd he nods his head and looks into the camera in front of him and yells at Bellatrix, his voice nearly drowned out from the music. "We beat them once. You did great. We’ll do it again."
He walks past the camera with an excited smile on his face, leaving it to face Bellatrix who simply looks at it and awkwardly avoids it by walking around the other side.
Pierce Donovan: This duo overcame the odds in the gauntlet and managed to pull off two upsets in one, beating The Residence and their opponents tonight, The Northern Touch!
Jasper Phoenix: I was shocked, likewise was Northern Touch. Bret’s an accomplished amature wrestler with some experience already under his belt but Bellatrix, she proved sometimes in wrestling you just need to be hard headed.
Pierce Donovan: But can lightning strike twice?
Jasper Phoenix: I don’t know. I doubt they’re really at 100% after two grueling matches and the attack, and the Northern Touch seem that extra bit motivated and… honestly, dangerous.
The siblings head down the rampway which is a touch more narrow than normal because of the unique venue. Bret leads the way as Bellatrix follows, trying to keep her nerves about her. But, in the background, we see two men clad in red and white- The Northern Touch!
Pierce Donovan: Wait, behind you!
Jasper Phoenix: This is going to be good-
AND THE NORTHERN TOUCH ATTACK THE BORDEAUXS! Jean-Louis Gagnon clubs Bellatrix in the back with a forearm and Don Marshall has to step over Bellatrix before he gets to Bret. The sound of Trixie falling down causes him to turn around, but it is not in time as Don Marshall hits him in the gut with a knee lift and then beil tosses him to the end of the ramp! The Northern Touch continue to stomp away at Bellatrix, knowing too well that it takes a lot to keep her down as Bret winces as he lands hard on the metal ramp.
Pierce Donovan: The Northern Touch aren’t waiting for the bell!
Jasper Phoenix: They’re returning to violent roots, remember. The red on the Canadian flag tonight will also mean blood!
Behind them, Bobby Tremblay with his suit and red glasses, claps with joy as he walks out, encouraging his men to do more. Don Marshall grabs Bellatrix by the head and pulls her over to the pool, sending her face into the pool-water!
Jasper Phoenix: OKAY! NOW THAT MAY BE A TOUCH TOO FAR!
Pierce Donovan: IS HE TRYING TO DROWN HER!?
The fans jeer as Jean-Louis soaks in the reaction and encourages his partner to continue. Bellatrix is flailing her arms, but thankfully, Bret recovers just in time and runs, breaking it up!
Pierce Donovan: Thank God…
Bellatrix rolls to her back and tries to catch her breath, her hair soaking wet and she had a scary moment. Bret tries his best to fight two-on-one, but with the limited space, it is a challenge. Both members of Northern Touch force him towards ringside and Irish whip him shoulder first into the steps! They push Bret into the ring and Don Marshall gets in with Jean-Louis Gagnon getting on his corner. They urge the official to ring the bell. The referee is uncertain and is trying to reprimand the Northern Touch for their attack. Bobby Tremblay yells on the outside, calling the official spineless.
Pierce Donovan: Why start the match? The attack was unfair!
Jasper Phoenix: Come on, it happens all the time… aside from the attempted murder… Well the drowning!
Bret holds his shoulder and back. He landed hard twice into steel and with his body already aching a bit from the last show, he’s at a serious disadvantage. But, thankfully, he sees Bellatrix return to her feet. She holds her gut and is coughing. Her hair is soaking, but she slowly gets to ringside. She steps on the apron and the referee asks if they want to continue. The siblings, angry compared to normal, nod and the referee rings the bell.
And Don Marshall immediately charges at Bret Bordeaux! The fans jeerHe stomps his chest in the corner and pushes Bellatrix off the apron, forcing her to fall to the floor! The big man from Saskatchewan picks Bret up in a Sidewalk slam position, carrying him halfway across the ring before dropping him spine first on his knee with a backbreaker! He pushes Bret off and goes for an aggressive cover.

And Bret powers out, wincing as he does. Don Marshall clubs the back of his head and just grinds him down to the mat as Bret just pounds the mat with his fist.
Pierce Donovan: This match has already gotten off to a bad start!
Jasper Phoenix: The pre-match assault really just just put the Bordeauxs down and they have to crawl behind.
Don Marshall tries to drag Bret Bordeaux to his corner. Bret gets to a knee and throws a forearm strike which doesn’t do much. The Bearded-Canadian laughs, “HA! HA! HA! MORE!” and Bret gets to his feet and hits one that creates a loud crack! Don Marshall takes a step back as Bret jumps up and hits a dropkick! Don Marshall stumbles back into the corner and Jean-Louis makes a blind tag! Bret glances backwards to see if Trixie is okay, but Jean-Louis springboards and hits him in the back of the head with a dropkick!
Pierce Donovan: More double teaming from the Canadians!
Jasper Phoenix: Two fresh men against a tag team on fumes, this won’t be good, but the Bordeauxs did last longer than anyone expected.
Before Don Marshall exits the ring, he puts Bret Bordeaux in a suplex position and lifts him up so his feet rest on Johnny Lou’s shoulders. Together, they drive him in the mat with a Magic Killer and Jean-Louis goes for a pin.
One
Two-
And Bret powers out again.
Keeping on Bret, Johnny Lou gets an arm bar locked in and keeps it in. He washes his boot in the face of Bret and chuckles.
Jasper Phoenix: Something I instantly notice… other than the attempted drowning, is that now they are trying to stay focused. They were riding high so much last time that they kept looking away.
Pierce Donovan: That part I can agree with as something that can help.
As Bret tries to get back to his feet, Jean-Louis elbows him in the back of the head and wrenches the arm again. He heads to the ropes and climbs up them, Bret unable to pull him off, and the Quebecois hits a beautiful Wrist-Assisted hurricanrana! He gives a small “bow” before Bobby Tremblay urges him to keep going. He top mounts Bret Bordeaux and throws several punches until the referee has to back him off and the fans continue to jeer.
Bret slowly sits up, wincing as he does, and Jean-Louis Gaganon hits a low running dropkick! He goes for another cover.

And again he kicks out.
Realizing they may need to freshen things up, Jean-Louis tags in the big man and quickly tries to keep Bret pinned down to the mat, keeping him in place, Don Marshall hits a big splash on him and pins!
One

Thre-
No!
Pierce Donovan: Northern Touch are keeping on top of things and going for frequent pins.
Jasper Phoenix: I think they know how much they could take last time and just want to catch them off-guard or just tire them out even more!
Looking across the ring at Trixie who is back on the apron, Don Marshall laughs at her as she holds up Bret by the hair. “You’re next, bitch!” And he chops him across the back. Heading over to Bellatrix, Don Marshall puts his hand on her shoulder, clutching it tight as a frustrated Bellatrix throws some relatively ineffective punches. “You poopyhead!” As Don Marshall lifts her up, Bret looks up… and is seething.
And Bret Bordeaux charges and hits a dropkick in the corner on Don Marshall! Trixie falls off from his grip and lands butt first on the outside mat. She looks up and sees her brother throwing multiple kicks to the leg of big Don Marshall and then to the chest and roots him on!
Pierce Donovan: Finally Bret Bordeaux is getting something to go his way!
Jasper Phoenix: You harm one sibling, you piss-off the other!
After the official gets Bret to back up from the corner, you can see him breathing heavily. They beat him up pretty damn good. The big man, looks… almost shocked that Bret came back after that pre-match beating and charges at him! Bret sidesteps and does an O’Connor Roll!
One
T-
And the big man powers out but Bret nails a superkick on the chin as Marshall is trying to get up. Running off the ropes, he lunges forward with a drive-by boot and gets the big man down a moment. On a knee, Bret is still winded, but he looks at the ropes. Springboarding off them as Don gets to his feet he hits a Springboard Tornado DDT!
Pierce Donovan: Beautiful Tornado DDT!
Slow to get up off the mat, Bret Bordeaux looks towards his team’s corner as Bellatrix pulls herself up on the apron. He hair is damp still after the drowning attempt, but she pounds the mat, trying to encourage Bret on. With the fans behind him, he has an arrow left in his quill. Pulling Don Marshall up to his feet, barely… He tries to pick him up in a Fireman’s Carry.
Pierce Donovan: What is he trying to do?
Jasper Phoenix: He can’t do it. No way.
Bret’s feet shake as he tries to lift up the big man. We can hear Trixie shout in the corner “You can do it, Bret! You can do it!” and the fans are gasping. That is extra motivation to just BARELY get Don Marshall up in a fireman’s carry! Bret’s feet shake as he just manages to drop Don Marshall down for a Double-Knee Gut buster!
Pierce Donovan: THRONE-BREAKER ON THE BIG MAN!
Jasper Phoenix: …Oh my f- GOD!
Don Marshall holds his ribs and his eyes are wide as he yelps out in pain. Bret, lying on the mat, oddly got it just as bad as him as, with the pre-match beating and the multiple matches in a row from the last show, he’s on fumes. Trixie looks on with shock, and some joy. Her brother took down the monster of a man. But, she knows he is weak. Suddenly, she realizes what she needs to do and… grabs the tag rope and holds out her hand. “High- Tag me, Bret!” She shouts!
Jasper Phoenix: By God! She knows what a tag is! Only took her what? Two, technically three matches!
Bret looks up and sees Bellatrix with her hand out, begging for a tag. Knowing he is stuck and that she proved herself last time, he has more faith in her. Crawling on the mat, he starts to head towards the corner…
As Don Marshall tag in Jean-Louis Gagnon! The Quebecois jumps over the ropes and immediately applies a crossface on Bret!
Pierce Donovan: And Jean-Louis cuts it off.
Pulling back on the head of Bret, Jean-Louis Gagnon tries to get Bret to tap out as he laughs. He’s embracing his violent side and is having fun with it. He even… starts to fish hook Bret’s cheeks and yells at Bellatrix “Smile wide! Smile wide for him!” and Bellatrix glares at him. He flips her off for good measure before putting the crossface back in and Bellatrix has had it! She steps into the ring and gives a swift kick to Jean-Louis’ face before throwing some punches!
Pierce Donovan: Bellatrix has seen enough!
Before she can keep it going, the official gets in between them, pulling Bellatrix off and urging her back to her corner. “You need to get back now.” He tells her and she pouts, trying to plead with the official. This distraction is all they need as Don Marshall gets into the ring and joins in Jean-Louis Gagnon in stomping Bret Bordeaux down! The fans boo as Trixie notices and tries to get the referee to turn around, but it is wrestling, and referees seem to be like Angel Hernandez, blind and deaf.
Jasper Phoenix: And that plan backfires on her! She has a decent idea, but that inexperience, as we talk about, is going to be a hurdle.
Don Marshall pulls Bret Bordeaux off the mat and holds both his arms as Jean-Louis backs up. The referee finally gets Trixie back and he turns around to see both men in the ring. Jean-Louis flips off the official and goes in for the super kick…
And Bret slides out of Don’s grip, forcing Johnny Lou to accidentally hit is partner! Don Marshall stumbles back, grabbing his jaw and Bret uses his last burst of energy to jump and tag in Trixie!
Pierce Donovan: Trixie is in!
Jasper Phoenix: I can’t believe I am saying this, but Trixie is in to save her brother!
Getting on the top rope, Bellatrix readies herself, getting a bit better at balancing since last match and shouts, “Take this, jerks!” Before jumping and hitting a dropkick on Jean-Louis Gagnon! The momentum drives him back into Don Marshall and both men are down! The fans cheer as Bellatrix holds her back as she gets up, still sore from the attack, and maybe still learning how to bump.
The fans, eager to see Northern Touch get some karma after their pre-match attack, cheer as Bellatrix looks around, seeing the fans cheering… IN SUPPORT OF HER, and she has a grin and is fired up. Jean-Louis gets up as Don Marshall rolls to the outside, holding his knee after Jean-Louis crashed into it. Looking at Bellatrix, Jean-Louis hits a forearm, and Bellatrix stumbles back, but doesn’t fall and looks at him. Jean-Louis Gagnon blinks, “What’s wrong with you, bitch?” Before slapping her across the face…
And Bellatrix responds with a forearm! Then another! She kicks him in the gut before doing a lifting kick to catch him on the chin! As Jean-Louis Gagnon stumbles, surprised Trixie is doing this to her, the younger Bordeaux hits a cracking headbutt on him!
Jasper Phoenix: JESUS! Please someone educate her about the risk of concussions, jeez!
Falling back into the ropes, Jean-Louis Gagnon blinks, seeing stars as Bellatrix staggers before standing up. Just as Jean-Louis Gagnon pulls himself up… Bellatrix Bordeaux runs and hits a cactus clothesline, taking both of them out of the ring!
Pierce Donovan: And both of them collapse to the outside!
The referee begins a count as both competitors try to gather themselves on the outside. Jean-Louis Gagnon heads for the barricade while Bellatrix Bordeaux holds her back while on the mat, it being in agonizing pain.
Jasper Phoenix: Bellatrix is hurt on the mat. I know she wasn’t at 100% going in, even before the attack, but I think her back may have clipped the edge of the apron.
Pierce Donovan: Good observation, Jasper. It’s cliche to say that’s the “hardest part of the ring, but that’s where the wood meets the metal, less padding, less give.
At a four count, Bellatrix Bordeaux pulls herself up by the apron and runs, clocking Jean-Louis Gagnon in the face with an elbow. Then another. In response, Jean-Louis Gagnon grabs her head, trying to hit his own headbutt, but Trixie ducks and hits a jawbreaker on him! Le Fantastique himself drops back into the barricade. She looks to the side and sees Bret still aching, but so she’s on her own. Getting back into the ring, she decides to take a risk, but she has some nerves about her.
Jasper Phoenix: Don’t tell me… She’s going to kill herself if she tries this.
Pierce Donovan: Space between them, Jean-Louis Gagnon on the outside, we know what’s coming.
Bobby Tremblay is urging his client to get up, and as Bellatrix runs off the ropes, Tremblay pulls Jean-Louis by the arm and that causes Trixie to miss her dive as she goes face first into the barricade!
Pierce Donovan: NO! FU-
Jasper Phoenix: …ouch.
The fans jeer as the human garbage gets involved. Jean-Louis Gagnon snirks as Bobby Tremblay looks at him and says one thing, “Destroy her…” and Jean-Louis obliges. Despite the hard fall, Bellatrix is somehow moving and she’s on her hands and knees. Gagnon charges and hits a running Quebecois Destroyer on the outside mat!
Pierce Donovan: NO! QUEBECOIS DESTROYER ON THE OUTSIDE!
Jasper Phoenix: Now THAT is some violence!
The fans gasp before jeering as Bellatrix lies on the mat in serious pain. Jean-Louis Gagnon pulls her up and back in the ring as Bobby Tremblay whispers something in his ear. There is a devious grin on both their faces as the Quebecois gets in the ring. He whispers something to Don Marshall who nods and tags in. Jean-Louis Gagnon drags Bellatrix Bordeaux to her feet which might as well be on jelly legs, and pushes her into Don Marshall who hits a Pop-Up Powerbomb!
Pierce Donovan: Big powerbomb from Don Marshall!
Rather than going for a cover, Don Marshall rolls Belaltrix over and gets her in another powerbomb position…
Pierce Donovan: H-He’s not done? Really?
Jasper Phoenix: This is violence, Northern Violence!
Don Marshall picks up Bellatrix for a second powerbomb!
…He rolls her through…
Into a third powerbomb!
Then he holds on the legs and lifts her up for a FOUTH POWERBOMB!
We see Bret on the apron, leaning against the turnbuckle, in horror as his sister is getting powerbombed…
AS DON MARSHALL HITS A FIFTH POWERBOMB!
He finally releases it and walks over the body of Bellatrix Bordeaux who is breathing heavily.
Pierce Donovan: This is sickening.
Jasper Phoenix: Everything is sick to you.
Pierce Donovan: But they clearly have the match won. You could have rang the bell after the Destroyer on the outside floor, or even the first powerbomb, but this is sick. And remember this is a woman being slammed down repeatedly from almost seven feet in the air. It’s unnecessary!
The fans jeer as the Northern Touch soaks it in. They get ready for their “Scissors” taunt and Bobby Tremblay is about to lambast them for it… but says “Why not? You boys earned it” and they do it to soak in the jeers. Don Marshall tags Jean-Louis Gagnon back in who readies himself on the apron as he holds Bellatrix in a powerbomb position…
And Bret, despite the pain he’s felt, rushes in the ring and hits a jumping superkick on Don Marshall! He falls back and knocks Jean-Louis off the apron and Bret Bordeaux stomps away on Marshall!
Pierce Donovan: Bret’s seen enough! At this point, it doesn’t matter if you win or lose, just stand up to those bullies!
Jasper Phoenix: They’re Canadians! They’re polite!
Jean-Louis Gagnon collects himself on the outside as Don Marshall tries to fight back. The big man throws a right and Bret stumbles before he uppercuts Don Marshall and pulls him in for some Sole-fu! Don Marshall falls back and out of the ring! Breathing heavily, Bret grabs the top rope and waits for his chance. He springboards over the top rope…
And into Don Marshall’s arms! Don scoops him up and drives him into the edge of the ring with a scoop slam!
Pierce Donovan: And Bret Bordeaux is taken out!
Jasper Phoenix: He had a big flurry, likely coming from just pure adrenaline after watching his sister get powerbombed repeatedly, but just not enough.
Sliding back in the ring, Jean-Louis Gagnon goes over to Bellatrix who is still lying on the mat. He hooks both legs and crosses them, turning her over for a cloverleaf and adding a knee!
Pierce Donovan: And the Mon-knee Maker is in… Just ring the bell…
The official raises Trixie’s arm three times, and they fall each time, signaling the end of the match.
The theme music of the Northern Touch blares as Jean-Louis Gagnon keeps the hold in a few extra seconds before he is forced to break the hold. The official raises both their hands after Don Marshall gets in the ring.
Jasper Phoenix: One word for that match: Violent. Question their methods, the Northern Touch are back on track after Bobby Tremblay told them to tap into that angry side.
Pierce Donovan: The Bordeauxs have heart. They showed it last time and then again tonight, but that attack and just the general nasty edge they had, it was the Northern Touch’s match to lose. Dominant.
Bobby Tremblay shoos the official away before raising the arms of his clients again before joining them in for a “triple scissors” taunt. Bobby Tremblay shouts “Get a look at this. These boys have the violent edge! The Northern Touch are back on top!” And they look at Bellatrix Bordeaux as she is being looked over by the official. She is sat up in the corner, aching, and Bret slowly pulls himself up to check on her also. The tag team turn towards them… and start to approach.
Pierce Donovan: Don’t do this again. No…
But this time, Bobby Tremblay steps in. “We’re moving past them. They’re below us now.” Before Jean-Louis Gagnon and Don Marshall shrug and walk out of the ring. Bobby Tremblay looks towards Trixie and shouts, “You mess with us again, rookie, you get worse!” before he joins his clients out of the ring.
We see Bret pat Trixie’s hand. “We’ll get those punks… “ He’s trying to hold back his rage towards the Northern Touch. “But you did good. Remember that.”
Pierce Donovan: They’re beat up, but they’re going to fight another day, Bret’s trying to reassure Bellatrix.
Jasper Phoenix: We’ll see what happens. She had her beginner’s luck last time, but this is a dog-eat-dog world. You don’t adapt, this will be the result each time.
"Fear creates weakness, weakness creates despair, despair creates hopelessness, hopelessness creates anarchy. You can flip the script too. Courage creates strength, strength creates hope, hope creates opportunity, and opportunity creates anarchy."
Azrael stepped into frame, holding a shattered light tube in the blood-stained hands.
"Anarchy exists under every circumstance. No matter how much order you may weild, you cannot escape anarchy."
"I enjoy anarchy. I feast on the chaos that insues when all control is lost, when all control is pitifully destroyed by those who wish to control themselves. I lust for that anarchy."
"I am one of the few who can embrace anarchy. I understand it. I crave it."
"Some call me a psychopath. I'm a freak. I don't care what hell I go through. All I care about is the sweet smell of pain and fear that I wish to invoke on this world."
"The AMA is pitiful. Everyone here is on the brink of incontrollable chaos. And none wish to admit it. But I, I wish for it to come sooner. For the never-ending madness to come into my grasp. And once anarchy hits, Azrael Gamma will be the only man prepared enough for it."
"When I finally step into an AMA ring, I shall bring what everyone deep down fears. Chaos, madness, unimaginable anarchy. And everyone needs to prepare, for the Angel of Deathmatches does not show mercy."
Azrael smashes the camera he was talking to with the remained bits of the light tube, sadistically smirking at the cracked screen.

Pierce Donovan: Max and Shinzo staring daggers at each other!

Max and Shinzo trade punches! Elbows by Shinzo. Hammer throw by Shinzo, HUGE uranage. Cover.
Max kicks out a 1.5
Both men battle back and forth without an advantage for a bit.
Shinzo brings Max to the corner. Tag. Shinzo and Sawyer are clunky doing a double lariat/low kick combo and Max escapes and gets a tag out.
Pierce Donovan: Shinzo and Sawyer, not quite in sync yet. They’ve never tagged together and it’s already showing a bit!
Jasper Phoenix: Certainly will be an advantage for The Agency as a more unified and synchronous team.
Sawyer charges Chris and goes for a sling blade but Chris catches him and slams him down to the mat with a sidewalk slam. Cover.

Pierce Donovan: The addition of Blake seems to already be paying dividends for this new iteration of The Agency. Hamad’s role seems to not be missed at all
Jasper Phoenix: Liek a well oiled machine!
Chris now works Sawyer with some rough suplexes and a picture perfect DDT. cover once again!

Max jumps back in and breaks the count. Shinzo gets in his face and the referee goes to remove Max. Blake pulls Sawyer off the apron onto the floor, and cracks him with a chair in the head! He slides him back in the ring and before any one can say anything he loudly claps his hands. The referee turns around and sees Sawyer in the ring wobbly on his feet but assumes he tagged in and now has to force Shinzo out.
Pierce Donovan: Unbelievable , Shinzo never tagged out!
Jasper Phoenix: Brilliance! I would have never thought of pulling such a ruse!
Shinzo notices Blake and goes down to chase him. In the ring Chris pounces and hits a big boot. Throws Sawyer in the corner for a quick tag. Shinzo chases Blake into the crowd. Lights Out TKO by Chris on Sawyer, Max immediately follows with Goodnight Irene and into the Ace in The Hole. Sawyer tries to get to the ropes but it's no use and he is forced to tap out. Max refuses to release the hold. In the crowd, Blake stops and jeers and Shinzo realizes he messed up and left his partner for dead. He shakes his head in disbelief.
Reina de la Cruz: And the winners of this match, The Agency!
Max lets go of the hold as Shinzo finally manages to close in, and they forcefully roll Sawyer out of the ring. The three men stand tall on the ropes and pose.
Pierce Donovan: The Agency stands strong tonight, they may be dirty tactics, but they completely outsmarted Shinzo and Sawyer tonight.
Jasper Phoenix: And they move on to the tournament. The Agency is looking a whole lot stronger by subtraction, if you know what I mean!
The fans continue to jeer as Max Maverick, Christopher McMichaels, and Blake Justice, all three pose in the ring. Max and Christopher look at each other, before having another look at Sawyer Xavier down on the canvas. They motion towards Blake Justice… and the psychopath just top mounts him and continues to throw punches!
Pierce Donovan: Stop it! You guys made your point! You even have a tag team victory over the AMA Grand Champion, even if he wasn’t in the fall, you made your message, cut it out!
Max Maverick and Christopher McMichaels pose on the turnbuckles, soaking in the jeers as Blake delivers his own twisted form of justice on Sawyer Xavier, stomping away. Watching this going on, Shinzo Omega needs to even the odds, and fast. He reaches under the ring and pulls out…
A KENDO STICK and he rushes the ring to crack it across the back of Blake Justice!
Pierce Donovan: And the Champion, making things finally even!
Jasper Phoenix: If doesn’t have the numbers, at least he’s making this a bit more “fair” with a weapon!
The crack of the weapon forces both Max Maverick and Christopher McMichaels to turn around and try to fight back. Shinzo Omega cracks the weapon across the stomach of Max, and then the back of Christopher! Then he swings it multiple times to each part of The Agency as the fans come alive, craving this retribution against the dastardly trio!
Pierce Donovan: And Shinzo Omega finally getting something to subdue these three trouble-makers!
Jasper Phoenix: Now hopefully he doesn’t go too far also… Who am I kidding? MORE!
Having a moment of reprieve, Shinzo Omega slowly helps Sawyer Xavier up. He’s aching, but at least he’s seemingly able to fight another day. Turning, we see all three members of The Agency slowly rise to their feet and looking at Shinzo Omega and Sawyer Xavier.
Pierce Donovan: This isn’t about the match anymore. That’s over. THIS is about drawing the battle-lines.
Jasper Phoenix: And who do you go for, the three, or the two with a champion and a kendo stick?
Even with the agony of the submission he was put in, Sawyer appears ready to fight, grabbing the ring ropes to help him up. Omega holds his kendo stick and then…
The lights of Club Le Vela slowly go out. Soon, without the bright lights, the venue is a pitch black in the night sky.
Pierce Donovan: The lights? Here!?
Jasper Phoenix: It’s an old school trick, but it is always effective.
The fans are left in the dark, unsure what to make of it. But finally, the lights turn back on and we see… standing at ringside behind Shinzo and Sawyer.
Norman Namatjira!
Pierce Donovan: NORMAN! NORMAN NAMTIJARA!
Jasper Phoenix: I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU UNLEASH ANOTHER FIREBALL!
Before the AMA Grand Champion and Sawyer realize what is happening, Norman pulls Sawyer Xavier from under the bottom rope! Seeing his ally go down, Omega just swings for the fences and tries to hit all three members of The Agency with the Kendo stick!
Pierce Donovan: It has gone from Three on two, and now, four on two!
Jasper Phoenix: It’s gang warfare, Pierce!
Norman Namatjira tosses Sawyer Xavier full force into the barricade separating the pool from the ringside area! Sawyer rolls on the mat in agony as, in the ring, Shinzo Omega is too preoccupied with the trio who have taken his kendo stick away and are triple teaming him in the ring, trapping him in the corner! Scraping Sawyer off the ground, Norman Namatjira picks him up in a Gorilla press and throws him into the pool!
Jasper Phoenix: Splash down!
Pierce Donovan: And Sawyer is out of the equation!
Meanwhile, in the ring, Blake is holding the Kendo stick as Christopher and Max hold the AMA Grand Champion up. Justice swings the Kendo stick, but Omega pushes Christopher into it, taking the hit on his stomach! Omega throws Max Maverick into Blake Justice before hitting his running knee strike on Justice!
Pierce Donovan: THIS IS THE END! Shinzo may have what it takes!
Seeing, Norman is on the outside, Shinzo Omega quickly runs, hitting a diving dropkick between the ropes, hitting the big man on the back! Norman stumbles towards the barricade and Shinzo Omega rolls to meet him!
Jasper Phoenix: Now Shinzo is pairing up with Norman! This is a repeat of Rush Hour!
The AMA Grand Champion is throwing as many kicks as he can, trying to chop the big man down. Some hit his leg, and then the chest before he aims up high with his Catastrophe spinning heel kick, but Norman catches it!
Pierce Donovan: And Norman catches the Catastrophe kick!
Jasper Phoenix: Shinzo was trying to send him flying to the pool!
Shinzo tries to break free, but it does nothing, Norman’s grip is iron. The big man picks Shinzo up in a rear waist lock and runs forward, sending him knee first into the steps!
Pierce Donovan: God damn! No!
Jasper Phoenix: Right to the previously injured leg!
The fans jeer as the three men in the ring, have their wits about them and give applause to Norman Namatijara. He rolls the AMA Grand Champion in the ring and joins his new allies. They grab the kendo stick Shinzo brought and strikes him in the knee again, and again before they pin Shinzo down on the mat and stretch out his leg.
Pierce Donovan: What’s going on?
Then… Norman heads to the top rope.
Jasper Phoenix: Remember how he beat Daniel tonight… other than the Fireball? Oh god…. He's going to be crushed.
The big man settles himself on the top rope before flipping back with a top rope Moonsault, landing ONTO THE LEG! Shinzo Omega lets out a yell in pain as he rolls on the mat in pain.
Pierce Donovan: Moonsault onto the injured leg! I swear that has to be snapped!
Jasper Phoenix: This is hard to watch...
Norman has a smirk on his face as he joins Christopher, Max, and Blake. Christopher holds up the hand of Norman Namatjira. Max Maverick grabs a microphone and is nearly drowned out by the jeers.
Max Maverick: Well, who would have thought? AMA’s first champion lying down on the mat in a broken heap? That, you see, is the result of this man right here, the newest member of our organization, the Dharawal Warrior, Norman Namatjira!
Max points to Norman Namatjira who raises his hand in a warrior pose. The crowd jeers before Maverick points to his right hand man, Christopher McMichaels
Max Maverick: Christopher McMichaels and I have a common vision and business sense. He has been working hard, scouting talent. It hasn’t been just one person, but we have our eyes everywhere. If we got your eye on you, don't make a choice you'll regret! This man here, knew that and we got the one man Hamad try to sign, but couldn’t afford. We knew his price, and it isn’t just about money, but respect. Norman has a proud family heritage we respect. He has talent we respect. Hamad didn’t respect anyone! Meanwhile we have a respect for each other's talents and vision! Look, four of the most talented people in this company. And we need to shed his bad image.
Gesturing to the men around him, Max Maverick explains.
Max Maverick: This is no longer an Agency. We're not men in suits, agents, or lawyers. We’re the big guns around here…
Max points his finger like a gun.
Max Maverick: The guys with all the firepower.
Gesturing to the men behind him, Max Maverick exclaims.
Max Maverick: We are Top-Gun! The new dominant force in AMA Wrestling with Blake Justice, the Blueblood, Christopher McMichaels, the Ace, Baybay, Max Maverick! Then, the NEXT AMA Grand Champion, Norman Namatjira!
The fans jeer as Norman leans down and pulls Shinzo Omega by the hair.
Max Maverick: Get ready, Shinzo, because at Under Attack, Top-Gun’s monster is going to destroy you once and for all and take your championship as a well earned bonus. The AMA is truly under attack. Shinzo, Welcome to the Danger Zone!
And he throws Shinzo down. Getting the official to hand him the AMA Grand Championship, he hands it off to Norman Namatjira. The apparent next title challenger raises the championship up high before dropping it down on Shinzo’s chest.
Pierce Donovan: Norman against Omega for the title at Under Attack!
Jasper Phoenix: And he’s the one guy who Shinzo Omega didn’t pin or submit on his way to the title. Along with that knee injury, his time as champion may come to a quick end.
The camera zooms in on Shinzo Omega’s face as the newly rechristened Top-Gun, poses in the ring to a chorus of jeers as the show fades to black.
