The police in southern Maine were hunting Thursday for a gunman suspected of killing at least 18 people at a crowded bowling alley in Lewiston and at a bar a few miles away. Residents of the city and several other nearby towns were told to shelter in place for safety.

Hurricane Otis unleashed a “nightmare scenario” on Acapulco in southern Mexico Wednesday morning after the storm rapidly intensified into a Category 5 just before landfall and gave officials and residents little time to prepare.

Otis strengthened from a tropical storm to an extremely dangerous Category 5 hurricane in just 12 hours before it slammed ashore near Acapulco as the strongest storm on record to hit this area and the Pacific coast of Mexico.

The sudden burst of power gave people little time to prepare and get to safety as Otis bore down on Acapulco, a popular tourist destination that’s also a permanent home to roughly 800,000 people.

Tbh I definitely consider someone who thinks their guns should have more fundamental rights than women's bodies, LGBTQ people, and folks who just want to live without the threat of being shot by someone, mentally unwell.

I think it's baffling too but imo they get you to believe this shit young and it is hard to deprogram something. Successfully convinced people that a line on a piece of paper that was written in times of war is appropriate in a society that has nothing in common with then. I will never understand it but Ive also not had religious-type of undoctrination spoonfed to me from birth
