Turn face who? Batista, the second babyface of the brand. Or Edge? The heel of the brand. Besides, the crowd likes TO HATE Edge. He is a perfect heel, and not to spoil this week SD, but what he did just convert him in a monstrous heel, if he got any cheer, now he will receive none.

And the attack make sense in storyline terms:

Armageddon: Batista vs Taker vs Edge, iniciating Edge vs Taker first step of their Mania match.

Well personally i want The Rated R Superstar to go for the gold first then eventually win it. After winning the title I'm sure Batista will go after it AGAIN but maybe short live that feud thereafter. Then eventually feud with Taker for a blockbuster Mania match.
