Ring of Honor is gearing up for 2016 and the celebration of our 14th Anniversary! And this year we head back with LAS VEGAS! All of your favorite ROH stars will be there competing against some of the biggest stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling. We can now confirm who the Final Star from NJPW is signed to compete in Sin City...
“RAINMAKER” KAZUCHIKA OKADA
“Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada is returning to Ring of Honor! Okada’s rise from a blue chip prospect to the phenom he is today was meteoric. Making his way to the ring while money literally rains from the ceiling, Okada is one of the most engaging athletes in all of professional wrestling. Fans and athletes often remark that the quality of a dropkick should be measured on the "Okada Scale," as his version of the maneuver achieves graceful heights that amaze night after night. Quite simply, he has developed into quite possibly the most complete package in this sport, combining grandeur and showmanship with indisputable results.
Okada as regained the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and is currently in the midst of his third reign as champion. Will he still hold the title by the 14th Anniversary? Okada's accolades add another level of prestige and importance to the challenge faced by any ROH star who is scheduled to step in the ring against him. Recently, all-time professional wrestling great Genichiro Tenryu announced his pending retirement and selected none other than Okada to be his final opponent, resulting in an incredible match that cemented Okada's position at the top of today's wrestling landscape.
The Rainmaker is a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle and ROH is presenting a RARE opportunity to see him outside of Japan!
