Thanks for all the predictions and feedback, appreciate it. This is probably the least of the 4 AEW weekly specials so far in terms of card strength. Hoping the angle at the end kind of carries the show, tbh.

AEW Collision – Summer Blockbuster
June 11th, 2025
Portland, Oregon
Theatre Of The Clouds At Moda Centre

As if it’s the same show, just like Dynamite ended, Collision beings. The fans are going NUTS, cheering extremely loudly as AEW CHAMPION JON MOXLEY, his fellow DEATH RIDERS, CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI AND WHEELER YUTA, as well as THE YOUNG BUCKS are on one side of the brawl. On the other side is HANGMAN ADAM PAGE, SWERVE STRICKLAND, WILL OSPREAY, AND THE OPPS, CONSISTING OF SAMOA JOE, POWERHOUSE HOBBS and KATSUYORI SHIBATA!!!

The brawl continued, it’s nothing but a slug fest at this time. There’s so much animosity between nearly every wrestler and they get to let it out in different ways here. After what feels like forever with no signs of relenting, SECURITY, ROAD AGENTS AND REFEREES ALL RUN DOWN TO BREKA UP THE FIGHT.

At first, they have no success, but as more and more begin to run down, they are finally able to separate the two groups.

They are still all trying to break free, the occasional spitfire still breaking out, until TONY SCHIAVONE stands up from the commentary desk.

Tony Schiavone: Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve just received from Tony Khan… WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A TEN MAN TAG TEAM MATCH RIGHT NOW!!!

Everybody is happy with that announcement. The fans pop loudly, the wrestlers are happy, and the barrage of people trying to keep these wrestlers apart are happy.

One of the referees gets in the ring and begins explaining to the faces that one of them will have to watch on.

Shibata from The Opps draws the short end of the stick and ends up being forced to watch on, as the impromptu match becomes a reality…

Match One
‘Hangman’ Adam Page, Powerhouse Hobbs, Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay vs. Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson and Wheeler Yuta

Even though an official match has now been started, this one was mainly mayhem for the most part. Think the brawl to end Dynamite and start Collision, but now there’s nobody trying to stop it. It’s worth noting that Page and Castagnoli do spend most their time on their respective team aprons, still feeling the effects of the main event of Dynamite.

Having lost his match earlier tonight, Ospreay is isolated for a little while, but one he comes back and makes a hot tag to Swerve, it all breaks down yet again. People swing like crazy, really refusing to take a backwards step. In the end, Moxley and Swerve are the only two men in the ring, however both are down.

AFTER RAMMING CASTAGNOLI INTO THE STEEL STEPS, ‘Hangman’ realises there are only two men in the ring. The number one contender for the AEW Championship notices the champion, Moxley, stirring, and he gets onto the apron watches carefully, and as Mox stumbles to his feet… PAGE FLIPS OVER THE TOP ROPE…

BUCKSHOT LARIAT!!!

NO!!!

MOX THROWS HIMSELF OUT OF THE WAY…

AND PAGE SOMEHOW HALTS HIS MOMENTUM BEFORE HE CAN TAKE SWERVE’S HEAD OFF!!!

They still awkwardly collide chest on chest, but it’s not bad enough to do any significant damage. The only bad thing is now Swerve and Page go nose to nose, the hatred between the two still clear to see. Before they can come to blows, PAGE IS TRIPPED UP BY WHEELER YUTA…

AS MOX COMES FROM NOWHERE WITH A ROLL UP ON SWERVE…1…2…3!!!

Winners: Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson and Wheeler Yuta via pinfall @ 10:09

Knowing they’ve stolen one here tonight, amongst the heat from the fans, the Death Riders and Young Bucks don’t waste time celebrating. Instead they back straight up the ramp, suddenly with all the momentum in the world.

Mox gets encouraged by his Death Riders brethren, whilst The Bucks sarcastically wave at Swerve and give him a little wink.

The faces are disappointed in the ring, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is in one show, or one opening of a show, momentum has switched and is now in the favour of the heels as we get closer to All In…

-COMMERCIALS-

Upon returning from the break, we get a video package…

***

Inside a dusty, old warehouse is a wrestling ring. As the camera zooms in closer, we see a single man, hood up, standing in the ring.

The man dramatically rips his hood down as the camera gets closer, revealing himself to be MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN.

MJF:
People should know by now that I talk the talk better than anybody, but I also walk the walk better than anybody.

He bounces off the ropes a few times, warming up.

MJF:
The reason I do that is because I’m a student of the game. I put in the work.

MJF shakes out his arms, loosening his limbs.

MJF:
So I wanted to share with you all some of my training ahead of Grand Slam Mexico next week. Because I won’t step in the ring with a Luchador unprepared, I will be ready to do what I always do, and that’s prove that I am BETTER…THAN…YOU!!!

Suddenly, a few small jobbers wearing masks start piling into the ring. They stand in a fighting stance, ready to go, when somebody rings a bell.

The first jobber charges at MJF, he’s wearing a KOMANDER mask… MJF sidesteps and grabs the arm, taking the person down and locking in the SALT OF THE EARTH!!!

The poor jobber yelps in pain and taps out immediately, as MJF keeps the hold applied for a few seconds longer.

MJF: Well, that’s about how Collision will go. Maybe you lasted a little longer than the real Komander will though.

Next an overweight masked man runs up, wearing a Mistico mask. MJF immediately snatches a Side Headlock… AND THEN RIPS THE MASK OFF!!!

MJF screws his face up.

MJF:
Ugh, surely Mistico won’t look that bad when I rip his mask off next week.

Friedman now throws the poor jobber through the middle ropes and to the outside.

MJF:
Bring out, next.

Another Mistico mask wearing person steps in, but this one is a midget. The fired up midget charges at MJF, but MJF holds him at arm’s length, literally, with a palm on his forehead.

MJF smirks.

MJF:
That’s the thing, Mistico. You luchadores will always come up short when coming up against the greatest professional wrestler alive.

Now MJF hoists the midget into the air, drilling him with a Brainbuster.

Friedman enjoys his handiwork and then sits on the chest of the midget.

MJF:
It doesn’t matter how many luchadores are in the arena next week, Mistico. I’ll destroy the entire conglomerate of luchadores if I have to. Next week, you get found as an overrated, overhyped, jumping bean!

With that, MJF laughs at the midget that he’s sitting on as the video package ends…

Backstage, at the interview set stands Lexy Nair.

Lexy Nair: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time, all the way from CMLL… Atlantis and his son, Atlantis Jr

Honestly, there isn’t much of a reaction from inside the arena as ATLANTIS and ATLANTIS JR. come into screenshot.

Lexy Nair: Next week is of course AEW Grand Slam Mexico, and I believe you two have an announcement you wanted to make?

They both nod, faces covered by their masks.

Atlantis: Yes we do… Son…

Atlantis Jr.: We don’t currently have anything scheduled for next week, and there is no way we will not be on that show.

Lexy smiles as she listens intently.

Atlantis Jr: So we want to make a…

???: Make a challenge?

Both Atlantis’ heads are on a swivel when STOKELY HATHAWAY is revealed as the voice. He’s flanked by FTR.

Stokely Hathaway: We were just on our way to the ring when we couldn’t help but overhear.

Stokely pauses for just a moment.

Stokely Hathaway: We’ve come here to help. Throughout tonight and even last week, we understand more than anybody the frustrations of making a challenge and not having it answered.

FTR nod in the background as obviously Big Stoke is referring to the AEW Tag Team Champions.

Stokely Hathaway: So as an act of good will, we won’t let that happen to you. FTR will accept your challenge.

The Atlantis’ nod.

Atlantis Jr.: It’s on. See you next week.

The Atlantis’ move on, however Stokely turns his attention to Lexy.

Stokely Hathaway: That’s right, Lexy. We’ll hit up some bars in Tijuana on our way to Arena Mexico, and then we’ll beat those guys without breaking a sweat. Just like FTR will…

ATLANTIS JR SLAPS STOKELY IN THE FACE!!!

Whilst they didn’t want to exchange in words, they won’t take disrespect either. FTR are furious and look to step forward, when their music hits. Hathaway rubs at his cheek, but with a huff of frustration, FTR and Big Stoke turn to leave, needing to head to the ring…

Match Two
FTR w/Stokely Hathaway vs. Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong

These two teams go at it in a really good match. It’s highly competitive, and whilst FTR aren’t afraid to bend the rules, O’Reilly and Strong are impressive, more than holding their own. FTR to get on top towards the end though, thanks to interference from Big Stoke, and they clear the ring of Strong.

They grab O’Reilly, perhaps ready to finish him off… WHEN ATLANTIS AND ATLANTIS JR. STEP THROUGH THE CURTAIN!!!

They remain on the stage but it’s enough of a distraction for O’Reilly to come from behind and throw Harwood out of the ring. Wheeler sees this and charges at Kyle, he ducks a Clothesline… O’REILLY NAILS WHEELER WITH A SUPERKICK!!!

Wheeler drops as if he’s been shot and O’Reilly quickly heads to the top rope… DIVING KNEE DROP!!!

After shaking out his leg, O’REILLY MAKES THE COVER…1…2…3!!!

Winners: Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong via pinfall @ 10:40

O’Reilly and Strong celebrate the win to a very LOUD pop from the fans. It’s an impressive victory from Paragon, meanwhile FTR roll to the outside, furious with the loss.

Big Stoke is equally as unhappy as Atlantis and his son simple wave and leave.

Whilst it’s a feel good story for The Paragon, who may have just catapulted themselves into title content, FTR will now be full of fury next week.

O’Reilly and Strong signal for the tag titles and that’s the last shot we get before the break…

-COMMERCIALS-

Returning from the break, and Renee Paquette is at the interview set.

Renee Paquette: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time… BIG BILL AND BRYAN KEITH!!!

BIG BILL AND BRYAN KEITH appear into screenshot. Big Bill looks a little more relaxed, whilst Keith mean mugs the camera.

Renee Paquette: Guys, you requested this time from AEW management earlier today. What would you like to get off your chests?

Bill takes the mic from Renee so he can put it right to his mouth.

Big Bill: Since Chris Jericho left, it seems people have been happy to just forget about us.

Keith looks really annoyed by it, as Bill maintains his composure.

Big Bill: BUT WE’RE STILL HERE!!!

Bill pounds his own chest.

Big Bill: And we’re ready to work our way through this tag division and become AEW Tag Team Champions!

Bill now gives the mic back to Renee. She holds the mic to Keith, who she clearly isn’t sure of.

Bryan Keith: Boy, we still in here, and we’re ready to beat up any-…

He’s stopped mid-sentence as KEVIN KNIGHT AND MIKE BAILEY, JET SPEED walk onto the set.

Mike Bailey: We couldn’t help but overhear, and funnily enough, it seems like you both want to do the exact same thing that we do.

Knight takes over.

Kevin Knight: But you see, you guys aren’t going to be able to make a run for those tag titles if we do… And we won’t be able to, if you make a run for those titles.

All four competitors look to be on the same page.

Mike Bailey: So why don’t we figure out who’s the real deal and who’s all talk?

Kevin Knight: You two versus us two, next week. Collision.

The highly strung Keith takes a step forward, ready to fight now. Big Bill puts a hand on his chest though, calming him down.

Big Bill: We’ll see you next week, boys.

The four continue to stare each other down, eager to compete and earn their spot next week…

Match Three
All Parties Barred From Ringside

Anna Jay vs. Megan Bayne

Nothing new here. These two have gone at it a few times now, and Bayne has always been able to dominate. Anna Jay is plucky, fighting hard from underneath and she has a few moments, but the result of this one is never really in doubt. With no outside interference and no distracts, Bayne is to strong, EVENTUALLY DRILLING JAY WITH A SWINGING SIDE SLAM!!!

BAYNE JUST PLACES TWO HANDS ON JAY’S CHEST…1…2…3!!!

Winner: Megan Bayne via pinfall @ 7:55

This isn’t the first time Bayne has proved her dominance over Jay, but it’s clear this time she wants Jay to be gone for good. There’s no celebration from the goddess, who ignores the heat from the fans, and instead grabs Jay by the hair… ONLY TO THROW HER BACK DOWN TO THE CANVAS!!!

The back of Jay’s head brutally smashes into the canvas, as Bayne stands over her, ready to inflict more damage… WHEN BAYNE GETS DROPKICKED IN THE BACK FROM BEHIND!!!

BY THE RETURNING TAY MELO!!!

Bayne staggers towards the ropes, turning with anger to see who attacked her… WHEN MELO MEETS HER WITH ANOTHER DROPKICK…

AND THIS ONE SENDS BAYNE TUMBLING THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

The fans cheer loudly as Melo has returned to protect her friend. Melo motions for Bayne to get back in, and the furious amazon looks to do exactly that…

UNTIL PENELOPE FORD RUNS DOWN AND CALMS BAYNE DOWN!!!

Ford whispers some words into Bayne’s ear, and Bayne nods in agreement, making her own decision and opting to fight another day.

Whilst Bayne points menacingly at Melo, letting her know she will destroy her, Melo smirks, before looking concerned and checking on her friend.

Melo has returned, but does she realise what she’s signed up for…

-COMMERCIALS-

Upon returning from the break, we see a closed locker room door which reads “TONI STORM”. We do not see the AEW Womens Champion herself, but we do see the locker room door open, and her butler, LUTHER steps out in a hurry. As he’s closing the door, he speaks.

Luther: I’ll be back with your Mary Pickford shortly, Miss Storm…

Luther power walks down the hallway, looking to get the champion her beverage of choice… WHEN LUTHER IS BLINDSIDED WITH A STEEL CHAIR TO THE BACK!!!

BY MERCEDES MONE!!!

The TBS Champion has dropped Luther to the floor, where she ruthlessly grabs his head… AND MONE REPEATEDLY RAMS LUTHER’S HEAD INTO THE WALL OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!

It doesn’t take long for a bunch of backstage staff members to come and pull the nearly rabid Mone off of the poor butler. As she’s being dragged away, she has a particular message…

Mercedes Mone: Nobody plays mind games better than I do. Tell her not to play with me…

The apocalyptic TBS champ continues to get dragged away from the scene of crime, perhaps having sent a message to the AEW Womens Champ…

Match Four
Mark Briscoe vs. Rocky Romero

Romero is at it alone tonight, without any Don Callis Family help, and that is his undoing. Well, that and the fact that he’s going up against somebody his outmatched against. Fresh off almost shocking the world and becoming the AEW Champion, Briscoe looks to continue his momentum. Briscoe gets on top on the run home, EVENTUALLY GETTING ROMERO UP ON HIS SHOULDERS… CUTTHROAT DRIVER!!!

BRISCOE HOOKS BOTH LEGS…1…2…3!!!

Winner: Mark Briscoe via pinfall @ 7:05

It’s a pretty uneventful aftermath here, as the fans cheer loudly for one of their favourites. Briscoe enjoys his victory, celebrating, looking to continue to build after an impressive few weeks…

In the back, we are in the trainers room where medics are looking over ANNA JAY, focusing on her neck. After a few moments, the medics seems to sign off on Jay, saying she is fine.

Anna thanks them, rubbing her neck one more time, before sliding off the bed in the trainers room. Suddenly, she gets a HUGE grin on her face, and she’s greeted with a hug from TAY MELO.

Both long time friends are clearly happy to see one another.

Anna Jay: It’s so good to see you. And thank you.

Taynari waves her off.

Tay Melo: Don’t mention it. I couldn’t let anything happen to my girl.

The two laugh again, until Jay becomes serious.

Anna Jay: You know she’s going to be after you now, right?

Melo nods.

Tay Melo: I do…

Now Tay gets ultra serious.

Tay Melo: I also know I worked my butt off to get back here and if she wants to come at me, I’m ready.

Jay still looks concerned, but Melo doesn’t realise.

???: Ahem.

Both girls spin around to notice DIAMENTE standing by.

Diamante: I don’t mean to interrupt this week’s episode of Gilmore Girls, but I’m here to issue you a warning, Tay.

Tay raises her eyebrows, not looking all that impressed.

Diamante: You thinking you can just waltz on back in here and get in the ring with Megan Bayne is crazy.

Seemingly with a new more aggressive attitude, Tay takes a step forward.

Tay Melo: Is it now?

Diamante: You best take the bass out your voice. I’m trying to do you a favour, girl.

Diamante curls her upper lip ever so slightly.

Diamante: Next week, we’re in Arena Mexico. I got my home girl over there and that’s her stomping grounds.

Melo and Jay look confused as to why they’re being told this.

Diamante: So how about next week, me and my girl against you two at Grand Slam Mexico. Let’s give you, Tay, the chance to get your feet wet before getting broken in half by that amazon. What do you say?

Tay and Anna share a knowing look. Confident.

Anna Jay: You’re on.

Tay Melo: See you next week.

Diamante smirks, smacking her clenched fist into her hand a few times, before walking away…

-COMMERCIALS-

Match Five
Bandido vs. The Beast Mortos

The Beast Mortos uses his strength advantage to gain the early advantage and really beatdown the AEW World Champion. Bandido is resilient though, and fights back, building some momentum and he looks like he might be set to finish things off, when DON CALLIS AND JOSH ALEXANDER step through the curtain.

The heat is enormous for the duo and whilst they don’t necessarily do anything, the appearance is enough of a distraction for Mortos to take over again. He beats on Bandido some more, but yet again, the ROH Champion fights his way back into the driver’s seat. In the end, Bandido is able to soften up Mortos enough… TO HIT THE 21 PLEX!!!

BANDIDO MAINTAINS THE BRIDGE…1…2…3!!!

Winner: Bandido via pinfall @ 8:01

Bandido raises his ROH Championship high in the air afterwards. He gets a solid pop from the fans, as Alexander and Callis whisper to each other, clearly showing interest in the title.

Bandido continues to celebrate, as they sarcastically applaud, Callis whispering into the ‘Walking Weapons’ ear the entire time…

Our cameras cut back to the AEW interview set next, where Renee Paquette is standing by.

Renee Paquette: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time… He is the AEW International Champion… KENNY OMEGA!

The AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION KENNY OMEGA STEPS INTO SHOT. He’s dressed in a nice, beige suit, looking like one million bucks with the title on his shoulder. Omega politely nods and smiles at Renee.

Renee Paquette: Kenny, I understand you requested this time as you’ve just come out of a meeting with Tony Khan regarding your match against Kazuchika Okada at All In. What can you share with us from the meeting?

Omega smirks.

Kenny Omega: Wow, straight to the point huh? I like it, Renee. So just to confirm, yes I did have a meeting with Tony Khan regarding Kazuchika Okada at All In.

The International Champion nods, as Renee smiles.

Kenny Omega: Now to answer your question Renee, what can I share from the meeting? Well, as it turns out, the meeting came with some groundbreaking news…

He pauses, letting the moment build.

Kenny Omega: Groundbreaking news that I’m happy to share with you all right now!

BIG pop from inside the arena.

Kenny Omega: As we all know, AEW is where the best wrestle. AEW is the professional wrestling company in the world. Here wins and losses matter, and more importantly, championships matter.

Omega taps the title on his shoulder to further emphasise his point.

Kenny Omega: I’ve just recently claimed this AEW International Championship, however my opponent at All In, Okada has held his AEW Continental Championship for what feels like forever.

Kenny’s being honest, giving his opponent his flowers.

Kenny Omega: On top of our two titles, we have the TNT title in the male division and then of course, there’s the coveted AEW World Championship. What those four titles said to Tony, and I happen to agree with him, is that there are to many championships here in AEW.

Renee’s face changes, she certainly didn’t expect that type of statement.

Kenny Omega: The more the division gets oversaturated with titles, the less the championships will actually mean, but that’s not going to happen.

Kenny shakes his head along with his words.

Kenny Omega: That’s not going to happen because at All In, we’re going to have a champion versus champion match, but that’s not all. It’s going to be a unification match.

Another loud pop from the excited fans inside the arena.

Kenny Omega: Two men, two titles, All In. Only one man will walk out champion. And I’ll give it my all to make sure that Continental Title gets absorbed into my International Championship and I will remain International Champion for a long time to come.

Kenny’s chest is out, booming with pride.

Kenny Omega: Thank you very much, Renee.

Renee is all smiles as she signs off and sends us to ringside, a HUGE announcement official for All In…

Match Six
Riho vs. Thekla

Riho’s back. Yay. And whilst that gets some cheers from the fans, this just isn’t her night. The newcomer Thekla is the perfect blend of strange and gifted, as she shockingly runs through Riho with relative easy. When she’s ready to finish things off, ‘The Toxic Spider’ LOCKS IN HER DEATH TRAP SUBMISSION HOLD!!!

Riho attempts to fight, refusing to submit. She shows that heart she’s known for but can’t quite make the ropes or escape… AND THE REFEREE CALLS FOR THE BELL BECAUSE RIHO IS UNCONSCIOUS!!!

Winner: Thekla via submission @ 4:08

There’s a stunned silence throughout the arena as Thekla has taken care of the one of the best in the women’s division with relative ease. Thekla celebrates like only she can, continuing to be a blend of mystery and dominance as we head to a break…

-COMMERCIALS-

Match Seven

Komander vs. MJF

Both men make their way out alone, ready to do battle in the main event. Whilst it’s not the most star studded main event in the world, MJF brings the ratings and it’s sufficient hype for Grand Slam Mexico so deal with it. Komander battles hard and absolutely increases his reputation, but at the end of the day, there’s levels to the game. MJF is just to strong, EVENTUALLY CATCHING KOMANDER WITH THE BRAINBUSTER!!!

Instead of going for the pin though, MJF heads to the outside, searching underneath the apron before pulling out a Mistico mask. Once back inside the ring, MJF places the mask on his own head and yells, “THIS ONES FOR YOU, MISTY”.

He then goes old school and hangs the defenceless Komander over the middle rope… THE HEATSEEKER CONNECTS!!!

MJF DRAGS THE LIFELESS KOMANDER BACK INTO THE CENTRE OF THE RING…

AND MAKES THE PIN…1…2…3!!!

Winner: MJF via pinfall @ 6:44

The crowd rains down heat upon MJF, who gets up and raises his hands high in the air. After shoving the referee away, Friedman removes the Mistico mask… AND THEN WIPES HIS ASS WITH IT!!!

It’s a total lack of respect from MJF, garnering more heat, but he doesn’t mind, happy to celebrate the night away.

The question remains; will it be the same outcome when he faces Mistico himself next week in Mexico…

Next up, it’s time for a video package…

***

A video package plays, showing the recent run of DANIEL GARCIA, which hasn’t been all that impressive. Since losing the TNT Championship to ADAM COLE, Garcia has been trying to rebound but has been unable to do so.

Over the most recent few weeks, DON CALLIS has been trying to get into his hear about joining the Don Callis Family. Meanwhile, Cole and THE PARAGON have been trying to keep Garcia on the straight and narrow.

After the break, we’ll hear from Daniel Garcia…

***

-COMMERCIALS-

***LEADING THE WAY***

It’s quite the reaction from the fans, encouraging DANIEL GARCIA, as he slowly makes his way down the ramp. There’s no dance tonight, no smiling, no fun, Garcia looks caught up in his own thoughts, as he unenergetically heads into the ring. Even once he’s in, he doesn’t acknowledge the fans, instead getting a mic, ready to speak.

Daniel Garcia: Since I lost the TNT Championship, things haven’t exactly been going my way…

The crowd remains quiet as Garcia is solemn, looking down at the canvas.

Daniel Garcia: I can’t find a way to win on my own.

There is pain etched all over Garcia’s face – he’s unhappy.

Daniel Garcia: I’m not myself. I’m fighting with my friends, having public issues with my biggest supporter, Matt Menard.

He’s still downtrodden despite the pop at the mention of ‘Daddy Magic’.

Daniel Garcia: Losing brings out the worst in me, and I need to apologise to each and every one of you people. I don’t like the person that losing has made me become.

A few fans shout some encouragement, but it’s mainly quiet.

Daniel Garcia: But I’m tired of feeling sorry for myself. I need to step up and do something to get out of this slump.

He begins pacing around the ring, nodding along with his own words.

Daniel Garcia: The way I see it, my career as at a crossroads and there’s a decision that I need to make.

The audience begin to stir, thinking about Callis’ proposal.

Daniel Garcia: I can choose to go one way at the fork in the road, and put my head down and work my ass off to get out of this slump…

Big ovation from the fans, who mainly want Garcia to do just that.

Daniel Garcia: Or… I c-…

***ALL ABOUT THA (BOOM)***

Garcia looks shocked by the interruption, but the fans cheer loudly, louder than the ovation that Garcia got anyway, as THE TNT CHAMPION ADAM COLE walk down the ramp. Garcia seems to notice the reaction from the fans, an emotion flashing across his face for just a moment. Meanwhile, Cole takes his sweet time, with his usual theatrics and the “ADAM COLE BAY BAY” before preparing to speak.

Adam Cole: Look Daniel, I’m sorry but I couldn’t help but interrupt.

Cole looks earnest, coming from a good place.

Adam Cole: We’ve had plenty to do with each other recently, whether that be teaming together and becoming what I would call friends. Or whether it was our awesome series of matches against each other, where I ended up winning this TNT Championship.

That something flashes in Garcia’s eyes for a solitary second, as he looks at the title around Cole’s waist.

Adam Cole: I know you mentioned your, erm, slump and the options you have to get out of it. Considering my newfound investment in your situation, the fact that I genuinely care about you. I had to give you some advice.

Garcia listens, both men looking each other in the eye.

Adam Cole: You talked about having options on how to get out of your slump, but you don’t really. That offer you’ve received from Don Callis…

Major heat from the fans, and Cole looks around at them.

Adam Cole: I feel the same way guys… But that option, Dan, it’s not real. You’re not a fork in the road of your career, you’re at an intersection, and if you choose to side with the Don Callis family, you might as well step out into that intersection and let yourself get hit by a Mac truck.

The fans murmur in agreement.

Adam Cole: For guys like you and me, guys who work for everything in our careers. We eat, breathe and sleep this business, we scratch and claw and bleed for everything we get. Siding with a guy like Callis isn’t a real option because it goes against everything we stand for.

More cheers from the fans.

Adam Cole: Your only option is to look within yourself, find that hunger, that commitment, that something that made you win the TNT Championship to begin with. You find that and you’ll be back and better than ever in no time.

The fans applaud the statement, but Garcia looks conflicted.

Daniel Garcia: You know, to just stand there and say the words, you make it sound so easy?

Cole scrunches up his face and disagrees.

Adam Cole: It’s not easy. Not even close, but that’s what mak-…

???: IT SHOULD BE!!!

The boos start reverberating around the arena right away, as DON CALLIS steps out from the back in a custom blue suit.

Don Callis: It’s not that easy, but if you join me, Daniel, it will be.

BOOOOOOOOO as Callis talks and makes his way towards the ring at the same time.

Don Callis: There are doors I can open for you that schmucks like Adam Cole will never experience. You don’t need to fight for the scraps like him, you can have it all.

Cole looks disgusted, as Callis steps inside the ring. Garcia just listens.

Don Callis: You join the Don Callis Family, and you’ll be a made man.

Callis puts his hands in the air, looking to paint a picture.

Don Callis: Money, fast cars, even faster women, you can have it all with me, you really can.

Cole is getting annoyed now, whilst Garcia has a blank look on his face, contemplating.

Adam Cole: He is a scumbag. Everything he “gives” you; he’ll want double in return. You don’t want to sell your soul to this guy. You work hard and you’ll get anything you want from this business and more. That’s the level of talent you have.

Callis raises his voice to speak over Cole.

Don Callis: It’s funny you say that because I can give you something that your way can’t. Daniel, I can give you what you need to get out of this slump. I can get you a shot at the TNT Championship.

Whoa. Cole looks taken aback by that as Garcia’s eyes once again dart to the title. Seeing the slight change in demeanour, Callis laughs and puts out his hand for Garcia to shake.

Garcia suddenly looks anxious, looking at the confident Don Callis, hand extended, and the pleading Cole.

Daniel Garcia: I don’t know what to do. I need time to th-…

Don Callis: There is no time to think. The Don Callis Family is an esteemed group; the offer has been given. It’s now or never, make the decision.

Don is serious, whilst Cole seems a little more caring.

Adam Cole: Don’t listen to him, Dan, you can figure this out. You know what’s right.

Garcia umms and ah’s some more, looking at both men, unable to make a decision. Out of nowhere, Callis stomps his feet.

Don Callis: You know what? SCREW YOU!

Whoa, Garcia’s eyes go wide in shock, as Callis is red faced and pissed off.

Don Callis: I gave you the opportunity to be the best and you squandered it. What that tells me as that you’re going to be just like Adam Cole, and all of these people for the remainder of your career… A LOSER!!!

The statement gets a negative reception, but he doesn’t care. Callis turns to leave, and steps through the ropes… WHEN GARCIA GRABS HIM BY THE COLLAR!!!

Garcia looks furious now, as Callis tries to beg off, but Garcia instead pushes hard, sending Callis tumbling to the outside.

The loudmouth is at the front of the announce desk, which Garcia quickly points to. Garcia heads out after Callis, as does a smirking Cole, watching on.

Garcia grabs Callis, who is begging for mercy, and he shoves him back to the ground. Garcia begins removing the monitors from the announce desk…

WHEN GARCIA RUNS AND NAILS COLE RIGHT IN THE SKULL WITH A MONITOR!!!

WHAT THE FUCK???

Callis scrambles to his feet, laughing loudly, as he and Garcia share a hug. Can you believe it? Garcia has joined the dark side!

Callis pats him on the back as Garcia mounts Cole and hammers away with right hands. The TNT Champion is
bleeding profusely, as Garcia continues to hammer away.

Once he’s done wiping his knuckles clean of Cole’s blood, the sadistic Garcia drags Cole up by the hair and throws him onto the announce desk.

Garcia allows the champion no time to breathe, getting onto the commentary table with him. Garcia hoists Cole into the air… BACK TO BELLY PILEDRIVER THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!!!

The fans gasp as Adam Cole is out of it, and Garcia stands over him. Callis pats him on the back, as Garcia looks down at him, no emotion on his face at all.

The question as to why needs to be answered, but one thing is obvious. Daniel Garcia has joined the Don Callis Family and looks set on destroying the TNT Champion.

The fans continue to boo, hurling rubbish at the newly turned Garcia, who continues to wear the same blank expression, as the show fades to black…

END OF SHOW

Fuck yes, I loved everything about the booking on this show. Garcia vs. Cole was alright IRL, but having Danny full turn and make that feud violent would have been excellent. I mean of course I like the booking I went 5/5 on my predictions BABYYYYY.
But please don't have Danny turn on Daddy Magic as well, that would make me actually fucking tight at him and I just could not do it. Enjoyed the hell out of this show, Grand Slam Mexico is going to be one hell of a ride!

Just getting predictions contest out of the way so I can keep this thing moving. Thanks, Brett, for the comments, always happy to know people are enjoying. Brett wins the predictions contest.

Also, both of you got shortest match of the night wrong, because I forgot to list that match on the predictions card lol. Go me.

ROH, Impact and SD will all be recapped to finish the week.

Big shows on the agenda for next week will be CMLL vs. AEW/ROH (which will basically just be ROH), this will be written in full PPV format and then Dynamite Grand Slam Mexico will get the full weekly show format (full promos, recapped matches).

El Paso County Coliseum

The man who opened the show though this week was the man ROH World Champion Bandido will defend against at CMLL vs. AEW/ROH in Arena Mexico, Mascara Dorada. Dorada competed in the opening match of the show and built some momentum effectively ahead of the biggest match of his career. Mascara Dorada defeated one half of the ROH Tag Team and one third of the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions, Dustin Rhodes. Both men adhered to the code of honour, having a competitive match and Dorada caught the veteran with a La Magistral Cradle at the seven minute mark to get the win. After the match, the two shared another handshake, full of respect for each other, Dorada looking ready for his ROH Title shot in five days’ time…

Bandido didn’t get involved and didn’t even appear, not the type to attempt to distract his opponent. However the World Champion did send a message of his own when in action later on in the night’s main event. Bandido defeated Averno in a Proving Ground match. Averno was very OVER in El Paso, but Bandido showed why he is the champion, eventually nailing his 21 Plex to get the pin. Funnily enough, he finished his opponent around the seven minute mark as well. Both champion and challenger looked extremely impressive heading into their big dance next week, but only one man can come out on top…

Well, we’ll find that out next week but that’s not where either man’s night ended. After his match, Bandido shook hands with Averno, only for the mood to become dire as the Don Callis Family surrounded the ring. Hecichero, Josh Alexander, Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita surrounded the ring, of course with Don Callis himself watching on. Before an attack could start though, Gran Guerrero, Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia and Mascara Dorada ran down and slid into the ring. With the numbers advantage no longer on their side, the Don Calls Family opted to fight another day, as on commentary, they announced that Don Callis Family would take on Gran Guerrero, Ultimo Guerrero, Euforia and Averno in an eight man tag at CMLL vs. AEW/ROH. With the save being made for the night, Dorada and Bandido now had an interesting stare down, after Dorada picked up the ROH Title and SLOWLY handed it back to Bandido.

We’ve talked about Mascara Dorada defeating Dustin Rhodes in the main event, but we haven’t discussed the aftermath. Post their respectful handshake, Dorada left the ring, allowing Rhodes time to get a nice ovation from the Texas crowd. The fans showed their appreciation for the veteran of the game, until the big screen came alive, and it showed a beaten and bloodied Sammy Guevara. Rhodes immediately freaked out as Shane Taylor Promotions stand over Sammy, proud of their apparent handiwork. Anthony Ogogo, ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty and Shane Taylor stand over Sammy, with Taylor letting it be known that they’re coming for those tag team titles…

Later on in the night, all three members of Shane Taylor Promotions would easily defeat some unnamed jobbers. The leader of the group, Taylor himself, finished one of the poor jobbers off with the Welcome To The Land. After the match, during their celebration, the trio motioned that the tag titles would be around their waist in the not so distant future...

Preston Vance defeated Evil Uno in an interference riddled match. Cole Carter, Griff Garrison and Jacked Jameson, The Frat House interfered for Vance, whilst Alex Reynolds interfered for Uno. In the end, the numbers advantage was the difference as Carter distracted Uno, Garrison distracted the referee and Jameson handed Vance the paddle. Vance smacked the paddle over the head of Uno to steal the win in around six minutes…

After the match, The Frat House begun to the attack on The Dark Order, when John Silver made his return. To a big pop, Silver made the save, running The Frat House off, and whilst most of The Frat House escaped unscathed, Vance did get caught with a Helicopter Spin. The Dark Order were back in full force…

Later in the night, The Dark Order were interviewed, and they kept things short and sweet. They’d been going back and forth with The Frat House forever and they wanted it to end. They challenged The Frat House to a six man tag team match to end things for good between them…

There was one other Proving Ground match on the card for tonight’s show. ROH Womens World Television Champion Red Velvet defeated Harleen Lopez. This was a typical squash match, only lasting a few minutes. When she was ready to finish things off, Velvet hit the Final Slice to get the win…

During her celebration afterwards, Red Velvet received quite the shock, when Kiera Hogan made her long awaited return from injury. The fans immediately got loud, very intrigued by this scenario, as Hogan stepped in the ring and went nose to nose with the confident champion. Velvet stood her ground, refusing to blink, and whilst no physical blows were thrown, a mental battle seemed to have begun…

Nick Wayne was still in an awful mood after losing his ROH Television Championship, however he had seemingly calmed down some. Last week, he wouldn’t listen to a word Christian Cage had to say, but this week, he at least sat down at the behest of The Patriarchy. With Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne watching on nervously, Christian apologized to Wayne. “I’m your father, Nick. I’d never do anything to fracture our relationship. All I wanted was for you to be great, but I realise that maybe I went the wrong way about that now. Yet again, I am SO sorry, BUT I’ve got a surprise for you next week that we’ll make everything okay”. Wayne, but even Kip and Mother Wayne look uncertain as to what Christian’s surprise is, but as usual, Christian being the ultimate chess player that he is, looks to be extremely confident on what’s coming next…

END.

Tempe, Arizona
Mullett Arena

The show started with a follow up to arguably the biggest, and thankfully completed story at Against All Odds, involving Santino Marella defeating Robert Stone, to remain the Director of Authority at TNA. Full of smiles tonight, Santino strolled into the arena, begin greeted by many backstage crew and lower card wrestlers, all congratulating and thanking Santino for vanquishing Stone…

The cameras continued to follow Santino Marella throughout the backstage hallways, until he walked all the way down the ramp and to the ring. He started off by thanking the audience for their unwavering support. He only ever wanted to do what’s best for TNA, he’s so passionate about this place and now he’ll continue to get the opportunity to do that. Simply put, Santino is a happy man. Santino openly admitted to some controversy and maybe receiving some help at Against All Odds in the form of Matt Cardona. The Director Of Authority thought it was fine that he got help, considering Stone had help from Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford throughout. That’s the end of that topic, but Santino did have some further news on Matt Cardona. “After strenuous negotiations, I have a really exciting announcement to make. Next week, Matt Cardona will be at Impact to sign an EXCLUSIVE contract to TNA”! Marella was excited for this announcement, and the crowd in Arizona reacted well too. Santino then said he’d probably spoken for long enough, and there’s a big night set up for tonight that they needed to get to, but he had one further thing to announce first. After an impressive victory in a Six Man Tag at Against All Odds, Leon Slater will challenge Moose for the TNA X Division Championship at Slammiversary…

Mentioned by Santino for their allegiance to Robert Stone, later in the show Gia Miller interviewed Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford to understand what’s next for them. Surprisingly, the two catty women didn’t seem all that perturbed with Robert Stone being evicted from TNA. Instead, they help up their fists, as Tessa said, “this just means we don’t have friends at the top, and we’ll have to shape TNA into what we want it to be the old fashioned way… WITH THESE”! Victoria then started to run down the current TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, before Tessa all but confirmed what their next mission is. “We can’t fathom working for an organisation where Masha is the best in the division, that’s an EMBARRASSMENT. So, we’re going to change it”. Again, the two seem to have taken losing Robert Stone in their stride, and are ready to rage war on TNA’s Knockouts division…

The other big news that Santino touched on during his promo to start the night, was the confirmed X Division title match for Slammiversary. After footage was played of Leon Slater pinning TNA X Division Champion Moose in a Six Man Tag Team match at Against All Odds, we heard from both challenger and champion. Slater talked about being set for the biggest challenge of his career. Moose is an ominous champion, and Slater knows it’s going to take everything he has to become the X Division Champion. “But I’ve been working my whole entire life for this. I’m ready, and I WILL be the TNA X Division Champion, even if I need to burn down The System in the process”.

Surprisingly though, when Moose shared his thoughts on the situation, he was alone, without The System. Moose referred to himself as Mr. TNA as usual and talked about how he is the greatest TNA X Division Champion of all time. According to Moose, who seemed to be trying overly hard to convince the viewers, and maybe even himself, he’s beaten bigger, badder, and faster than Leon Slater. With something resembling panic in his eyes, Moose continued, “Slater’s just some punk kid who got lucky in a tag team match. The thing is, getting a pinfall victory over me in a tag match is VERY different to facing me with my title on the line. There’s no way I lose to this flash in the pan”. In the background, Moose noticed two production assistants in the background, paying him no attention and laughing about their own conversation. Moose freaked out and launched a vicious attack on the production assistant, only relenting when a bunch of security and agents ripped him away. Whether he believes his words or not, it’s certain that Moose is on edge…

In the opening in ring action of the night, Indi Hartwell defeated Dani Luna. The two shared a handshake to start things and then had an absolute sprint of a match. After just over four minutes, Indi kept Luna down long enough to hit her patented Springboard Elbow Drop and gain the victory. After the match, Indi celebrated, whilst Luna looked extremely disappointed, continuing her slump since the disbanding of Spitfire…

At Against All Odds, The Rascalz were so close to defeating the TNA World Tag Team Champions, The Nemeths. In the end, Nic Nemeth pinned Zachary Wentz, as Miguel pinned Ryan Nemeth, with Nic’s pinning counting due to being the legal men in the match. Despite potentially taking a step back in their chase of the tag titles at the PPV, Miguel and Wentz were more fired up and determined than ever to win back the titles. They said as much in a backstage interview, claiming that “Against All Odds was a setback, but we’ve got The Nemeth’s in an eight man tag team match tonight, and we will prove that we have their number” …

During the eight man tag that was referred to above, The Hardy Boyz and The Rascalz teamed together to defeat First Class and The Nemeths. Considering the match only went seven minutes, it was another ball to the wall sprint. The Rascalz were all over The Nemeths from the get-go, proving they had their number. The Nemeth’s decided to fight another day and walked out on the match, but The Rascalz gave chase. This left The Hardyz to use all their tag team experience to isolate KC Navarro and hit him with that Twist Of Fate and Swanton Bomb combination that has beaten so many wrestlers over the years…

Without the title in his possession after it was stolen at Against All Odds, the TNA International Champion Steve Maclin stormed to the ring unexpectedly. Maclin was livid, as he immediately called out the man who stole the title, Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian didn’t hesitate to step through the curtain, however he slowly made his way down the ramp, running his mouth as he did so. Kaz talked about how Maclin should have taken this all as a huge compliment. “Imagine that the last TNA original, analysed the entire roster, and decided that YOUR championship was the one he wanted to lust over. The International Championship is the one he craved; the International Championship is the one he was going to make his new obsession. That’s a credit to you as champion; it’s just a shame you won’t be champion for too much longer”. Maclin was happy to defend the title against Kazarian whenever, and Kaz cockily talks about not having decided when to challenge for it yet. Kaz does agree that the champion needs his belt though. Maclin agrees not to get physical, so Kazarian slowly gets in the ring, stating “let me give you this title… RIGHT ACROSS YOUR SKULL”! Kaz swung the title at Maclin’s skull, but Maclin was prepared for it this time. Maclin unloaded with right hands, which caused Kaz to drop the title, before he Clothesline Kazarian over the top and to the outside. As an embarrassed and upset Kazarian backed away, Maclin reclaimed his title and doubled down on the fact he’d face Kazarian anytime…

Another one of the more surprising results of Against All Odds was seeing Sami Callihan defeat Mustafa Ali. A replay was shown of this over the course of the night, much to the dismay of Ali who was watching in the back on a monitor. Ali snapped, as he started to tear the locker room apart, throwing things, ripping down shelves mounted on the wall, he was irate. Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands watched with concerned looks on their faces, unsure of how to react. After running out of things to ruin in the locker room, Ali shoved Jason Hotch in the chest and then slapped John Skyler in the face. Both men looked at the ground, not wanting to question their leader, when Ali grabbed Tasha Steelz by the hair!!! Immediately Hotch stepped up, and he roughly ripped Ali away from Steelz. Standing up to Ali, Hotch told him not to put his hands on Tasha. In the mood he was in, Ali told Hotch that he just made the biggest mistake of his life, and they’d have a match against each other later tonight…

When the match occurred, Mustafa Ali defeated Jason Hotch. Hotch showed signs of being a good wrestler, however Ali was a level above. After about seven minutes, Ali hit the 450 Splash to get the win, with John Skyler and Tasha Steelz watching on from the backstage area, clearly torn…

After the match, the all to familiar look of Ali completely going off the rails appears on his face. Ignoring the pleas from John Skyler and Tasha Steelz, Ali grabs a steel chair and places Jason Hotch’s ankle in it. With fury burning in his eyes, Ali headed up to the top and jumped off, Ali Pillmanises Hotch’s ankle!!! Hotch screamed in agony, as medics immediately ran down to check on him. As Ali left, breathing heavily, for the second TNA show in a row, he left without his entourage, as Skyler and Steelz checked on Hotch…

Later on in the night, Sami Callihan was interviewed by Gia Miller, and he talked about doing what he needed to do at Against All Odds. Mustafa Ali has proven time and time again that he’s a bully, and Sami will never hesitate to stand up to bullies. Gia asked Sami what was next for him, and he admitted he wasn’t really sure. He has been in TNA for a long time and kind of needed to figure out his next steps. With a glint in his eye, he did mention that maybe it’s time to wear gold once again…

As Sami walked away, our cameras picked up Santino Marella not to far away, talking rapidly on his cell phone. We don’t pick up who he is speaking to, but Santino ended the call by clearly saying, “Yes, okay. Eric Young will be allowed back on Impact next week” …

Xia Brookside defeated Harley Hudson via referee stoppage. Even with Myla Grace supporting her fellow newcomer, it didn’t make a difference. Brookside continued to ram the back of Harley’s head into the canvas over and over again, a psychotic look on her face, and with Hudson defenceless, the referee had no choice but to stop the match. This went a little over five minutes…

Even with all the action related to the Knockouts division, TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich had her own things to worry about. Masha was concerned with her friend, the returning Killer Kelly, who seemed to have quite the aura of mystery surrounding her since her return. Masha is rather upfront, holding her title and wanting to know why Kelly is back. Killer Kelly’s response is very vague though, talking about wanting to rekindle old friendships but also chase titles. With Masha no closer to understanding whether she needs to keep an eye on Kelly or not, Kelly just sauntered on away, smirking as she did so…

In the main event of the evening, TNA Champion Trick Williams and NXT’s Wes Lee defeated Joe Hendry and Mike Santana via disqualification. On commentary, they explained that after the explosive actions of NXT Champion Jasper Troy on NXT, whilst he was Trick’s first choice partner, TNA would not sign off on it. Instead, Wes Lee was the man. Hendry and Santana teamed well together, much like they have previously, however when it comes to who would pin Trick, they started to argue. As they continued to argue, nobody noticed that Elijah had slid into the ring… And Elijah smashed his guitar over the head of Trick, leaving the referee with no choice but to call for the bell…

As the bell rang, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana stopped arguing long enough to figure out what had happened. They saw Trick Williams unconscious, surrounded by shards of guitar, as Elijah stood over the fallen champion. Hendry and Santana approached Elijah, unhappy with losing, and all three faces began a heated argument. We’re no closer to determining a number one contender but it’s clear that everybody wants another shot at the TNA Championship…

END.

End of week 2. Yay.

1756101385067.png

June 13th, 2025
Lexington, Kentucky
Rupp Arena

The show opened up with the WWE Champion John Cena, much like Raw did. Also much like on Raw, Cena spent a fair bit of time going through his accolades, confirming with the crowd just why he is the greatest of all time. He claimed that the one thing the fans and wrestlers in the back overlooked throughout his career was his meticulous planning but look now. Everything he had touched this year had gone exactly to plan. “We’ve had the Doctor Of Thuganomics, we’ve had Hustle, Loyalty and Respect, hell we’ve even Had Big Match John, but Farwell Tour Cena is untouchable. So to everybody entering the King Of The Ring Tournament, if you plannin’ to come at me, y’all better get comfortable wearin’ that crown, because that’s the only gold you’re gonna’ be wearin’.” Before Cena could go any further, much like on Raw, he was interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Being one of the men in the KOTR tournament, Cody disagreed with Cena. As a matter of fact, Cody thinks that Cena is delusional, because how can he be unstoppable and untouchable when Cody just pinned him at Money In The Bank. “I know you don’t want me to have a title shot, Cena. With no Travis Scott, no Final Boss, I know you’re scared, but NOTHING is going to stop me from getting a WWE Championship shot at Summerslam, not even the King Of The Ring Tournament.” The WWE Champion was unable to respond as Drew McIntyre interrupted. Drew called out Cody for being an entitled, arrogant brat, but none of that will matter when Drew wins KOTR, and we get Cena vs. Drew. Now it’s Solo Sikoa’s turn to interrupt, and of course he’s backed by WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo. Solo stakes his claim for KOTR, and with Fatu and Mateo at his back, the trio looked aggressive, ready for a fight. Suddenly, things were heated, with everybody trading insults, until Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis interrupted. He thanked the gentlemen for the entertaining opening to the show, but this is where it will end. “If anybody out here right now puts their hands on anybody outside of a match situation, they will be booted out of the King Of The Ring before they can say Lexington, Kentucky”. Having simmered the drama, Aldis then reiterated that tonight’s main event will be Cody vs. Solo in a KOTR match…

All of the King Of The Ring competitors obliged to Nick Aldis demands, not getting involved in any unsolicited violence. Jacob Fatu did have an interesting confrontation though, for the second week in a row, with Damian Priest. Having already competed earlier in the night, a sweaty Priest had a pretty simply message for Fatu, “I told you last week I was coming for you and that US Title after Money In The Bank. Now I know you’ve been entered into the King Of The Ring Tournament, good luck with that, but just remember, I’ve got next!” Fatu wasn’t phased at all by the respectful yet confident Priest, nodding at him to show he understood but that’s it. The two men were then joined by JC Mateo and Solo Sikoa who asked Priest if there was a problem. Priest confirmed there wasn’t one, before scoffing at Solo and Mateo and walking away…

With Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa watching on, JC Mateo defeated Jimmy Uso. Unlike last week, Fatu is able to distract the referee effectively this week, and Solo distracted Jimmy to. Without putting hands on Jimmy, Solo and Fatu play a big part in the result, distracting him long enough for Mateo to finish him off at approx. ten minutes with the Tour Of The Islands…

Having apparently moved on from the rockiness of last week, all was well between Jacob Fatu, JC Mateo and Solo Sikoa after the cohesive display in the previous match…

However, in the main event, they would resort back to being a shambles. Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa to advance in the King Of The Ring Tournament. As JC Mateo distracted the referee, some botched interference saw Jacob Fatu accidentally collide with Solo, leaving an opening for Cody to hit the Cross Rhodes. Cody picked up the win at the sixteen minute mark…

After the long talk heavy opening to the show, the first match of the night got an extended period of time as well. I guess that’s what happens when Smackdown is three hours. Anyway, Damian Priest defeated Carmelo Hayes. Both men went back and forth for sixteen minutes, putting on a great match, until Priest managed to flatten Hayes with the South Of Heaven to finish things off…

WWE Womens United States Champion Zelina Vega managed to get herself some in ring promo time on the show, and she wasn’t in a good mood. The little pocket rocket that she is, Vega demonstrated extreme passion as she talked about how since she won the title, she has been happy to be a fighting champion. “I bring nothing but respect, dignity and prestige to this title with how I carry it. Wearing this US Title around my waist is a dream come true, but I’m not going to just stand here and smile through the disrespect anymore. I’m tired of being overlooked.” Vega talked about how over the past few weeks, Chelsea Green and Giulia have had conversations about which one of them would be wearing the US Title in the future. Vega is tired of being treated like she doesn’t deserve the title, she’s sick of being overlooked and she’s determined to prove everybody wrong. With an aura of confidence about her, Giulia interrupted and entered the ring. Giulia told Vega that she had it all wrong. “I don’t overlook you… I just know that I’m better than you”! The tension immediately picked up, with the offended Vega ready to throw down, however Giulia continued, talking about how she can’t wait to face Vega with the title on the line. As the two went nose to nose, they were interrupted by a loud, overexaggerated yawn. Up on the titantron, still wearing her nose protection mask, Chelsea Green appeared, flanked by Alba Fyre and Piper Niven, The Secret Hervice. Chelsea pretended like she had just woken up, telling them both how boring there pointless bickering was. “I mean, boohoo. I’m, Zelina Vega, I want to be taken seriously… NOBODY CARES”! Green then turned her attention to Giulia and sternly warned her, much like she told her last week, Giulia can’t just stroll on in and get a title shot. The next title shot belonged to Chelsea, and Giulia would get it over Chelsea’s cold, dead body. Giuila smirked and retorted with, “that can be arranged”. The fans cheered loudly for Giulia’s cool yet sadistic response, and Chelse lets out a loud “URGH”, and stormed off of shot, leaving Vega and Giulia to continue to stare each other down. Tension remained in the air, with no solution to the Womens US Title situation provided tonight…

In other women’s division news, the Queen Of The Ring Tournament was slated to continue tonight. Before their upcoming match, Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair met face to face backstage. Whilst both women were rather respectful, both made it clear that they expected to beat the other. Both women talked about how they crave to return to the top of division. Hunger was in both women’s eyes, as they shook hands, wished each other luck and shook hands. Instead of breaking the handshake, Bianca pulled Bliss close, almost whispering, “let the best woman win”. Maintaining her composure, Bliss smirked before responding, “don’t worry, I will”…

The match was a competitive one, but Bianca Belair defeated Alexa Bliss to advance in the Queen Of The Ring Tournament. Using all her veteran instincts and creativity held Bliss in good stead, but she still couldn’t deal with Belair’s strength. Bianca caught Bliss off a Crossbody, and powered her up into the KOD for the win at the twelve minute mark…

There was still half the Smackdown Queen Of The Ring bracket who wasn’t in action tonight. Instead, Charlotte Flair decided to come down to the ring, and in typical Charlotte fashion, she ran down her extensive list of accomplishments. With a resume second to none, she talked about having done it all in this business except for become Queen Of The Ring. “I just want to take this moment to apologise to all the other girls entering this tournament. Don’t get your hopes up, I’m already the queen, this tournament is a given…. WOOOOOOOOO”! Charlotte continued her self-promotion rant, until she was interrupted by her opponent for next week, Jade Cargill. Jade stepped inside the ring and two of the more physically impressive women on the roster went nose to nose. A buzz of anticipation reverberated around the arena, until Cargill called out Charlotte for being overconfident. As a matter of fact, Cargill thinks that Charlotte is downright arrogant. “I live for knocking people like you off your pedestal. I came to the WWE to prove that I was the best, and I continue to work towards that goal every day. If I were you Charlotte, I’d batten down the hatches, next week, a storm is coming”. Charlotte admitted that was cute, full of smugness, and the two continued to trade words, when they are suddenly joined by the WWE Womens Champion Tiffany Stratton. The, erm, hot, champion apologised for interrupting, but she wanted to do both of them the courtesy of correcting them on a vital mistake. “You both seem to think that winning this Queen Of The Ring Tournament makes you the best. Newsflash, it doesn’t. It gives you a shot at the best. That’s me, and the Smackdown women’s division, and this WWE Womens Championship WILL be remaining on Tiffy time, regardless of who wins the Queen Of The Ring”. Charlotte and Jade both don’t like that, with both claiming they will be the Womens Champion after Summerslam, when Naomi surprisingly made her way out. Stepping into the ring without hesitation, Naomi mentioned that she would be the next champion after whoever won the Queen Of The Ring ultimately failed. She insulted all three women in the ring, before Naomi yelled at the top her lungs, calling it a damn tragedy that she wasn’t in the tournament to begin with. “When I’ll become champion is uncertain, but it will happen. One thing I am certain of though is Jade… you will NOT become champion as long as I’m around”. Jade took a moment and then nailed Naomi with a right hand. Naomi staggered into Charlotte, who also nailed her, and then so did Tiffy. The three women surprisingly worked together and cleared Naomi for the ring, before going back to staring each other down. Everybody wants what Tiffany has, are the walls closing on the champ…

To further add some intrigue to this Queen Of The Ring Tournament, former friends, who admittedly hadn’t been on screen together recently had an awkward moment. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill bumped into each other, both giving the other a polite smile that you would normally reserve for a stranger. Bianca tried hard to break the uncomfortable silence, calling out that she hadn’t seen Jade in a while. Jade nodded in agreement, but came back with a pretty swift reply, “you’ll be seeing more of me in a couple of weeks.” Whoa. Just like that, tension is in the air, until they both decide to leave it for now, going their separate ways…

Not in the greatest of moods after falling short at Money In The Bank, LA Knight stormed into Nick Aldis office. The Smackdown GM ended his phone call, as Knight admitted to having a crappy past seven days. Not only did he fall short at Money In The Bank, thanks to Seth Rollins, Knight lost to Aleister Black last week. Knight may have to wait a full year to write the wrongs of MITB, but he wants to prove Black couldn’t beat him straight up next week. Aldis confirmed that LA Knight will go one on one with Aleister Black next week…

A clip was shown from earlier in the day, before the show had started. Once again, the setting was Nick Aldis office, where he stood in front of DIY, Fraxiom and The Motor City Machine Guns. Aldis attempted to talk to them about how incredible the tag division is, and who will be next to get a shot at the WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, but DIY cut him off. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa want to know what Aldis is going to do about the Wyatt Sicks creating mayhem in the tag division and potentially targeting them. Aldis talks about keeping the Wyatt’s busy, therefore they won’t need to resort to dangerous attacks outside of the ring. “As opposed to trying to rally the remainder of the tag division to do your dirty work for you, tonight, DIY, you will get the chance to face the Wyatt Sicks head on, and cull that threat”. The other teams snickered away but DIY weren’t happy at all, complaining about being the Wyatt Sicks targets before leaving. Aldis then apologised to the remaining teams, saying he would have to announce what’s next for the tag titles at a later date…

The Wyatt Sicks defeated DIY. Gargano and Ciampa tried their best, and had limited success, the monstrous pairing of Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy was too strong. About nine minutes in, they were able to isolate Gargano, and Lumos finished him off with the impressive Guillotine Leg Drop…

Scrambling to their feet after the loss, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa looked fearful, as all of the Wyatt Sicks eerily entered the ring. The five of them surround DIY, until at the behest of Uncle Howdy, they create a gap for DIY to walk through. Not taking this offer for granted, Gargano and Ciampa were quick to scurry out of the ring, not wanting any part of the group that look like a real life horror movie…

During the night, much like on Raw, there was a commotion as a group of unannounced renegades ran through the crowd and entered the ring. The trio of men, led by a man wearing a Rey Mysterio mask, are quickly revealed to be the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, along with his Judgment Day cohorts, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Once the fans picked up on who was actually in the ring, the heat was ungodly. Dom and Finn get microphones and Dom brags about what he did to his dead beat dad, stating that people are not mad at the disrespect. “People are mad at me, and painting me as the villain, because I revealed the type of person that your so called hero was. And now I stand here, strong enough to absorb your hate, because I am the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, and I’m the greatest Luchador of all time”. Finn then takes over and said that Dom is also part of the greatest faction of all time in Judgement Day. Judgment Day refuse to be victims and allow these people from Smackdown to invade their turf. So if anybody has a problem with Dom or anything Dom has done, Judgment Day are here and they aren’t hiding. Enjoying the moment and the heat from the fans, after nobody appeared right away, Dom let it be known, “don’t sweat it, I’d be scared to”. After only a few more seconds of gloating, the Latino World Order and Rey Fenix slide into the ring!!! A brawl erupted between them all with Cruz Del Toro, Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde and Rey Fenix swing wildly at the Judgment Day. The brawl is fiery with nobody wanting to give in, although the faces get the advantage due to the numbers advantage. Sensing they’re in trouble, Dom rolled to the outside, allowing his teammates to suffer the brunt of the punishment that he himself had earned. Finally, a bunch of security rip the fight apart, and Dom pretended he never left, acting as if he was getting carried away just like his friends. Either way, it’s clear the luchadores on Smackdown are not finished with Dom Mysterio…

After the explosive encounter was finished and Judgment Day were gone from the arena, the Latino World Order and Rey Fenix went to speak to Nick Aldis. They demanded a shot at Judgment Day, and in particular Dominik Mysterio. Aldis understood but had to be political about this. He made it clear that as Judgment Day are Raw superstars, he will discuss with his counterpart, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and see what he can muster…

END.

Another solid Smackdown showing here. I know I've said this before, but your version of WWE is so much better than the real thing. I think a Sami/Cody KOTR finals is brewing, and it will be very interesting if you decide to go in a different direction and give Sami a chance and a possible run as Champ. If not, I won't mind Cody winning since we've all been programmed to just accept Cody at the top of the card by this point lol.

The SD Tag scene over the summer in real life has been one of my favorite storylines, so I'm curious if you keep that the same moving forward of throw one of your own wrinkles into it.

I really think one of the best things (besides Jasper Troy's NXT title win) you've booked so far is Dom taking Rey's mask. It adds such another level of heat to his already extremely over character. Really well done.

Overall, what else is there to say? You know I'm not the best at dropping by, but I definitely look for updates to your thread, daily. Everything reads the way it should, with no unnecessary filler. I don't even know what's next on the schedule, possibly Raw or AEW? Either way, I'm hooked. Great job with this.

This week’s edition of Raw started with a trio best referred to as the Judgment Day girls getting something off their chest. That’s Liv Morgan leading the way, closely followed by Raquel, with the Money In The Bank briefcase holder, Roxanne Perez bringing up the rear. Raquel stood tall, arms cross, the muscle of the group, allowing Liv to run her mouth as much as her heart desired. Liv talked about how a lot of things had not exactly gone to plan for her recently, but it did not matter. She knew that she would defeat Iyo Sky and be the Women’s Champion again. As she shot a sideways glance at Roxanne, Liv mentioned that she did not win the Queen Of The Ring due to “unforeseen circumstances”. Roxanne looked awkward and started to squirm as Raquel stared her down for accidentally costing Liv her tournament spot. Liv then continued though, proclaiming that “Even though I didn’t win Queen Of The Ring, I’m still the next champion. I just need Iyo to stop ducking me and be a respectable champion like I was”. Obviously that statement got plenty of boos from the fans, and then Liv looks shocked, as Roxanne grabbed herself a mic. She encouraged Liv, telling her that she had the title in the back, before giving a slight shrug of the shoulders. “And with this briefcase in my hand, it means that even if there are more unforeseen circumstances and you don’t beat Iyo, well, the Women’s World Championship will be coming back to Judgment Day one way or another”. The tension grew after that statement as Liv clearly thought that was a scandalous thing for Roxanne to say. The catty Liv started to dress Roxanne down, until they were interrupted by the Womens World Champion Iyo Sky. Not paying any attention to their squabble, Iyo told them that she was not scared of any of them and would be happy to defend against any of them, even Raquel. Since the champ talked about not being scared, Judgment Day invite her down to prove it. Iyo showed no hesitation in walking halfway down the ramp, but then she stopped. “I would defeat any of you one on one for my championship, but I’m not coming to a three on one.” Judgment Day look confused, when suddenly Asuka and Kairi Sane run down and it’s a Damage Control reunion right here tonight. Damage Control received a big pop from the fans, and they all slid into the ring, but as they did, the Judgment Day girls fled out the opposite side. It turned out when the numbers were even they weren’t as brave as they let on…

Based on the opening segment above, a six woman tag featuring Asuka, Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane vs. Liv Morgan, Raquel and Roxanne was booked for later in the show. Unfortunately the match barely started, when after an exchange with Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan clutched her shoulder. The match was stopped and ruled a no contest, with it later being confirmed that Liv Morgan had injured her shoulder and would be out of action for a significant period of time…

Whilst Asuka was busy with the above proceedings for the night, she also kept her eyes on the Queen Of The Ring Tournament. In the opening match of the night, Rhea Ripley defeated Stephanie Vaquer to advance to the Semi Finals of the Queen Of The Ring Tournament. Both started with a respectful handshake and tore the house down with what was easily match of the night. In the end, with neither women’s finisher able to put the other away, they trade flash pins, until Rhea pulled out a Jackknife pin out of nowhere to get the win at the sixteen minute mark…

After the match, Stephanie Vaquer was a tremendous sport, shaking Rhea Ripley’s hand and wishing her best of luck in the remainder of the tournament. Vaquer then left the ring, allowing Rhea to have her celebration, before she was joined in the ring by Cathy Kelley. Catchy asked Rhea about the fact that she’ll now face Asuka next week, and Rhea admitted that Asuka was a formidable opponent. As far as she was concerned however, the opponent didn’t matter, this tournament is hers to win so she can finally regain her Womens World Championship. “At the end of this tournament, mami will be queen, and then, mami will FINALLY be back on top” …

Before Asuka competed in her aforementioned six women tag team match, she was approached backstage by Rhea Ripley. The conversation was friendly but competitive as Rhea apologised for interrupting Asuka’s preparation so close to her big match. Rhea just couldn’t help but let Asuka know that next week it was on, and “I’ll do anything to win next week, even if that means I ruin this little fairytale comeback of yours”. The edgy statement from Rhea raised the eyebrows of Asuka, who chuckled, retorting with, Asuka is ready… But you are NOT ready for Asuka”. The two smirked at each other, plenty of respect but competitive rivalry flowing through the air, before Rhea left to allow Asuka to prepare. Next week, Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley in the Queen Of The Ring Semi Finals…

During the night, an extensive video package highlighted last week’s main event, where Jey Uso successfully retained the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Gunther for the second time…

The World title scene was not going to sit dormant for long though, as there was a 15 Man Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for Night Of Champions. Key notes here are that the final four featured AJ Styles, CM Punk, Gunther and Seth Rollins. As the four battled away, AJ managed to eliminate Gunther, only for AJ to fall victim to Rollins. Down to the final two, the hated rivals, Punk and Rollins went at it, until when trying to eliminate each other, they both tumbled over the top rope and to the floor at the same time…

With the inconclusive result, chaos reigned supreme after the match. Referees were arguing, with different officials raising CM Punk’s hand in victory, whilst others raised Seth Rollins hand. As referees argued, the two heated rivals argued as well, until Raw General Manager Adam Pearce came down to deescalate the situation. Pearce had multiple discussions with the referees surrounding the ring, attempting to come to a conclusion. As the deliberations were ongoing, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso decided to interrupt. Coming through the crowd and hitting plenty of ‘YEETS’, Jey remained in the stands as he told Adam Pearce to chill out. The champ let him know that the situation wasn’t all that complicated. “CM Punk think he won, Seth think he won, one ref thinks this, another thinks that. I ain’t waitin’ another week, another minute, another second to figure out what I’m doin’ at Night Of Champions. I worked my entire career for this World Title, that’s over twenty years, and I told everybody I was gonna’ be a fighting champion”. Jey ended up telling Pearce to book Jey Uso defending the World Title against CM Punk and Seth Rollins at Night Of Champions, and everybody agreed, the match is official…

Later on in the night, two of the losers of the Battle Royal would have yet another interesting confrontation. The men’s Money In The Bank, AJ Styles was walking down a hallway, when he came across a disappointed Gunther. Unlike previously, a frustrated Gunther didn’t have anything smug to say, however AJ chuckled at him. “you told me I had no hope at becoming World Heavyweight Champion… But YOU lost to Jey Uso and YOU lost the Battle Royal… I lost the Battle Royal, but I’ve got this…” AJ then held the title up in Gunther’s face, infuriating the Austrian, before walking away…

Whilst the women of Judgment Day had quite the evening, there was less from the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominic Mysterio, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. They rolled into the parking lot in a black SUV, only to see the Latino World Order and Rey Fenix waiting with lead pipes. Sensing the danger, much to the dismay of their rivals, and the fans, the Judgment Day opted to turn around, and leave the parking lot without ever leaving their vehicle…

In what was a surprise to many, Goldberg was in attendance for this week’s edition of Raw. He was invited to the ring by Jackie Redmond and asked about why he chose tonight to be here. Goldberg talked about having one more match left on his contract, and he couldn’t think of a better place to do that then his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. “Last time I checked, Saturday Night’s Main Event will be in Atlanta… So Saturday Night’s Main Event… IS NEXT”! Goldberg didn’t stop there though, as he went on to talk about his desire to retire on top, as the World Heavyweight Champion. Before Goldberg could get to a Jey Uso callout, he was joined in the ring by Bron Breakker. Goldberg looked relatively happy to see Bron at first, mainly due to his relationship with Bron’s dad and uncle. However, when Goldberg offered a handshake to Bron, he ignored it. “I had the inside scoop last week so when Seth told everybody last week that I had personal business to take care of, this, what we’re doing right now is exactly what he was talking about”. Bron then opted to unleash a tirade on Goldberg, about how he would always pretend to be friendly with his dad and uncle, but then find new and inventive ways to screw them over and hold them down. “Don’t let the Bron Breakker full you, first and foremost, I’m a Steiner, and I’m comin’ for revenge and to retire your ass”! In the face of the ultimate disrespect, Goldberg still tries to calm things down, but then Bron pie faced Goldberg, causing him to stagger backwards. Suddenly, Goldberg got more aggressive, but security was already waiting at ringside once Bron interrupted, and they immediately swarmed the ring to stop anymore physicality between the two…

Later on in the night, Seth Rollins was in the back, alongside Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman. Seth admitted their plan hadn’t exactly been perfect so far, but they’re still heading in the right direction. “Bronson, you didn’t win King Of The Ring like we wanted, but we’ll find another way for you to impact. I didn’t win the Battle Royal, but I will bring the World Title home at Night Of Champions. And Bron, your business is sitting there, ready to do the unthinkable and retire Goldberg”. Bron admitted that he was ready, and he had just spoken to Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, who confirmed a fired up Goldberg had agreed to wrestle Bron Breakker in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event…

Sheamus
was interviewed in the back by Cathy Kelley, and he talked about how he was ready to face Rusev next week. Sheamus was going to remind the Bulgarian about what happens to any fella who decided to pick a fight with Sheamus’ friends…

After asking some team to step up, the World Tag Team Champions The New Day were hanging out backstage, only to be approached by Natalya and The Alpha Academy. Along with Nattie, Maxxine Dupri told the champs that Akira Tozawa and Otis had taken their words to heart and were ready to challenge the champs for the gold. After looking The Alpha Academy up and down, The New Day simply laughed right in their faces before walking away, clearly not taking the challenge seriously…

The silence of Bayley was ended this week as she headed to the ring to get some things off her chest. Bayley admitted to not appearing last week because she was so highly emotional about this whole situation with Becky Lynch and the WWE Womens Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria. Bayley knows she was called out by Lyra last week, but honestly, Lyra is the least of her concerns. “I didn’t return to have issues with Lyra, and I didn’t come back to chase the Intercontinental Championship. I came back because I want REVENGE on Becky. I want revenge because she put me out and she cost me a WrestleMania that I can never get back”. Having explained herself in her eyes, Bayley then called out Becky so they can sort out their issues, but instead, Lyra Valkyria answered the call. Stepping right into the centre of the ring without hesitation, Lyra demanded an explanation. Bayley quipped back that she had just given one, but Lyra thinks Bayley might have an issue with her. With a roll of her eyes, Bayley tells Lyra, not everything revolved around you, Lyra”, to which Lyra retorted, “Everything does revolve around me when it involves my business and my title”. The two former friends get up close and personal, when Becky Lynch stepped out onto the ramp. Becky had a tissue in her hand, and she dabbed at her eyes, fake crying. She told both the women in the ring that they deserve an Oscar for their acting here tonight. “But I’m ‘The Man’, I know all of the tricks of the trade. You two aren’t fooling me. I know you’re in cahoots, no matter how convincing your fake, little argument is”. Bayley denied the fakeness, but Becky refused to budge. Becky kept poking and prodding, until Bayley snapped, and Bayley socked Lyra in the jaw with a right hand! Bayley yelled, “DOES THAT PROVE IT TO YOU”, in a fit of rage before she realised what she did and quickly left the ring. Bayley ended up in shock, leaving the area, as Becky laughed her ass off, and Lyra rubbed her jaw, unimpressed…

Last but certainly not least, the main event of the evening was the next match in the King Of The Ring tournament. Before the match took place, the man waiting in the wings to face the winner in the semifinals, Sami Zayn, was questioned by Jackie Redmond. Sami talked about some of his all time favourites being KOTR winners, and how the prestige of the tournament is not lost on him. “All that prestige, getting the opportunity to do what some of my idols like Bret and Owen Hart did, it’s like a dream come true. And the gold at the end of the tunnel with a World Title shot at Summerslam up for grabs, I’m excited by what this will do for my career”. The interview was interrupted by Karrion Kross and Scarlett, as Kross told Sami that he would never amount to anything. You can dream all you want about winning the King Of The Ring, but that’s all it is. A dream. Until you get that killer instinct, all you’ll be is the king of mediocrity”. Kross then told Sami to watch him and see the difference between the two of them…

In the main event, Karrion Kross defeated Penta to advance to the King Of The Ring Tournament semifinals. Penta tried hard as they went at it for ten minutes, but in the end, Kross locked in the Kross Jacket, and Penta had no choice but to submit…

Stojy, you're one of the GOAT's man! I still can't believe you are booking all these companies and shows - fair play to you man, so impressive.

I've been really bad with keeping up, I'm hardly ever on the forum these days but going to try and do better with it to show some support and I just wanted to leave some words of encouragement - not that you need it of course Haha! I will be following and I'll drop by with a review soon. I'll likely wait for a special or maybe a PPV but we will see.

The night started off with some hot, in ring action as Jaida Parker defeated Lash Legend and Lola Vice in a Triple Threat Match, earning the right to face Jordynne Grace next week. Lash hit a Diving Headbutt on Vice, but as Lash tried to shake out her own cobwebs from the Headbutt, Jaida snuck in and stole the pin on Vice at the nine minute mark. The winner of Grace vs. Parker will go on to face Jacy Jayne for the NXT Womens Championship at The Great American Bash…

Not one to just sit around and wait, Jordynne Grace defeated Fallon Henley in the in ring main event of the evening. With NXT Womens Champion Jacy Jayne watching on, looking downright scared, Grace overpowered Fallon, before finishing her off with the Juggernaut Driver in eight minutes. Grace looked just as ready for next week’s showdown as Jaida Parker did at the beginning of the show…

Byron Saxon managed to catch up with the team of Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura relatively early in the night. They talked about how good it felt, tying the best of seven series to one a piece last week. Briggs stated that “it took us a week to find our footing, but now that we’ve tied it up, we’re ready tonight to take the lead in this series. Then we’re going to bring it home and earn our rightful shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles”. Before he can speak further, he stopped, looking rather tense, as NXT Champion Jasper Troy and TNA Champion Trick Williams walk through the interview set. The two champions walked right through the interview, not paying any attention to anybody and continued on their merry way. Before Briggs and Inamura could react to the disrespect, they then get interrupted by their opponents for tonight, The High Ryze. They let Briggs and Inamura know that apparently they have something special planned for them tonight. The two teams then stared each other down, one of them about to take the lead in their best of seven series…

Later on in the night, The High Ryze defeated Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura to take a 2-1 lead in their Best of Seven series. It was an even contest which could have went either way, until the leader of The High Ryze, Wes Lee returned to NXT television and interfered, allowing Tyson DuPont to hit the Tsunami on Inamura and get the win in another nine minute match…

Knowing they’ll be wrestling again next week, after the match, The High Ryze use their numbers advantage to further damage Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura. This continued until Brooks Jensen ran down and made the save. Protecting his former teammate and friend, Briggs, Jensen went to work and eventually cleared all of The High Ryze from the ring. With the heels having retreated, Briggs and Inamura look confused, until Jensen gives him a massive hug. The fans cheer, as after being botted from The Culling, Jensen has seemingly gone back to his roots by turning face and attempting to rekindle his friendship with Briggs…

Much like last week, a vignette aired showing a gorgeous blonde woman strutting her stuff in elegant evening gowns. Looking every bit upper class, the woman let it be known that she was Blake Monroe, and she would be bringing “glamour to NXT… SOON” …

NXT North American Champion Ethan Page decided to grace everybody with his presence with some in ring promo time this week. ‘All Ego’ talked about how he has an incredible run in NXT so far, including multiple championships, but despite all of the accomplishments in a short time, he’s not happy. “I’m not happy because no matter what I do, all I keep getting asked about is Ricky Saints. Oh, Ricky came after you again last week, what are you going to do? Quite frankly, I am sick and tired of Ricky Saints. I have beaten him enough; he’s not in my league”. Page claimed that he was ready to move on and continue his historic title reign, by defending it against a challenger that actually deserved it. Much to his dismay though, Page was indeed interrupted by Ricky Saints. Saints is able to talk this week, although admittedly, Saints’ voice is still rather raspy as his throat continues to heal. Saints let Page know in no uncertain terms that this wasn’t over between them. It’s about more than the title, Saints HATES Page. “I hate your ego, I hate your stupid smile, I hate the way you walk, I hate the way you talk, and most of all, I hate that you tried to end my career”. Saints won’t let that slide. The tension builds between the two, slowly edging closer, ready to explode into a brawl for the umpteenth time, when NXT General Manager Ava interrupted. Ava was rather no nonsense tonight, yelling at both of them to settle down. She told Ethan Page that she disagreed with him, “things between you and Ricky are NOT over, but they will be”. With that, Ava went on to announce that Ethan Page would defend his NXT North American Championship against Ricky Saints at the Great American Bash… In a No Holds Barred Match!!!

After being seen with his new buddy, Jasper Troy earlier in the night, Trick Williams was seen in the locker room with TNA’s First Class, preparing for their match tonight. Playing the leader for their makeshift team, Trick recapped that tonight they are facing his three challengers at Slammiversary, Elijah, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana. Trick wanted to confirm that First Class are ready, and they confirmed that they are. Once Trick is happy with their response, AJ Francis lent in close and almost whispered to Trick Willy, “so, we getting any assistance from your boy Jasper Troy tonight? What’s happening with that situation”? Rather dismissively, Trick just pretended as if he didn’t hear the question, seemingly not yet ready to reveal the details of his relationship with the new NXT Champion…

In the match itself, First Class and Trick Williams defeated Elijah, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana. Much like Hendry and Santana on the last episode of Impact, now Elijah joined them in another argument over who was going to defeat Trick. The constant arguing and bickering came back to bite them, as First Class charge at Hendry and Santana, allowing Trick to catch Elijah with The Trick Shot and get the win. The match went approx. eleven minutes long…

Later on in the night, the TNA team are packing their bags, with Elijah, Joe Hendry and Mike Santana unable to stop bickering. Again, it’s the same argument, they are all going to beat Trick Williams and bring the TNA title back home. As they continue to talk over the top of each other, they all go their separate ways, the animosity driven by greed seemingly building by the day…

After dodging and ducking questions for most the night, Jasper Troy and Trick Williams made their way out to close the show. Both men were draped in gold, truly looking on top of the world. They talk about how last week came from nowhere for a lot of people, they shocked the wrestling world. Jasper added on, whilst tapping his title with his knuckles, “we shocked everybody and now we’ve got all the gold”. Trick talked about the frustrating night he’s had tonight. Whether it was his tag partners, whether it was complete strangers, everybody wanted to know why they formed a partnership and dethroned Oba Femi. “Well, that’s none of anybody’s damn business. Y’all don’t deserve an explanation. What you get is a consequence, and the consequence of last week is me and my boy JT over here takin’ over this entire industry”. They finished by saying that it didn’t matter if you were Oba Femi, Joe Hendry or anybody else, they were simply inevitable, and anybody who wanted to prove them wrong, were welcome to come try…

We saw the Chase U crew in the back, and Andre Chase was still struggling to get through to Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors. Getting fed up with the back and forth, Chase told them there’s a reason why his name is on the building. They need to listen to him to get where they want to be. Dixon and Connors disagreed, stating that maybe Chase needs to change. “Maybe doing things the same way is going to destroy this university, just like it did the first time”. The two ‘students’ walk away, leaving Chase with plenty to think about…

In the back, the ever impressive Myles Borne was talking to some random backstage employees, when he was rudely interrupted by Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis. Myles rolled his eyes at the arrogant Adonis, who talked about how the only reason why Borne impressed so many people recently because of opportunities he received. According to Adonis, Borne only received those opportunities because he had the No Quarter Catch Crew fighting for him. As a matter of fact, Adonis can run circles around Borne in a wrestling ring. Borne laughed at the cocky man in front of him and admitted he didn’t know about why everybody gets an opportunity, but he’s happy to give Adonis and opportunity to prove himself next week. Adonis agreed, and as long as Ava signed off, which she did, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis vs. Myles Borne is booked for next week’s show…

Kelly Kincaid caught up with Je’Von Evans to ask what was next for him after his failed attempt at the NXT North American Championship at Worlds Collide. Firstly, Evans jokingly thanked Kincaid for bringing his most recent failure up. All jokes aside, I don’t know what’s next for me. I do know that just being BOUNCY, and loving being here in NXT isn’t enough. I want success, I want to prove myself, I want gold, so I guess I need to sit back and map out the best way to get there”. Before the interview can officially be ended, Evans is interrupted by the appearance of The Culling. The leader of the group, Shawn Spears shot Evans a knowing look, before telling him to “be careful. Greed can be a dangerous thing”. With that, The Culling left a confused Evans to watch on, wondering just what this was about…

In an undisclosed location, Tony D’Angelo and Luca Crusifino were warming up for their tag team match. Whilst both were civil, ‘The Don’ was definitely cagey and not himself, showing there are still some trust issues between he and Crusifino. Luca for his part nodded, showing he understood, but he stuck around, determined to prove he is still trustworthy…

The No Quarter Catch Crew defeated Luca Crusifino and Tony D’Angelo. About eight minutes in, Stacks Lorenzo appeared on the entrance ramp, and D’Angelo chased after him. As this happened, Charlie Dempsey and Tavion Heights were able to hit a TOTAL DOMINATION~! on Luca and pick up the victory…

Both men furious in their defeat, Luca Crusifino and Tony D’Angelo got into a heated argument backstage. Tony let it be known that “I knew I couldn’t trust you. If you were family, you’d understand why I had to go after Stacks”. Luca scoffed at the suggestion from Tony, “you couldn’t trust me? You left me. I was in there fighting for you. You know what, I don’t need this”. With that, Luca stormed off with Tony mumbling something along the lines of good riddance. As Luca left, our cameras panned to a space just outside the locker room where the argument took place, with Stacks Lorenzo smiling devilishly. Has he just caused Luca to give up on Tony…

The lonely life of the emotionally fragile Tatum Paxley continued this week, with her lurking in the backstage area, aimlessly. Yet again, she was approached by a warm and welcoming Izzi Dame, who simply wanted to check in and see how Tatum was doing. Tatum talked about how she was feeling a lot better this week, especially after Sol Ruca and Zaria explained that they actually are her friends last week. Izzi grimaced at those words, which caught Tatum’s attention. Izzi explained her reaction, “Look, I wish everybody was as upfront and honest as I am, but the truth is, those girls are catty, and you can’t trust anything they say… But I know just the way to confirm if I’m right or not”. Izzi went on to reveal that she had spoken to Ava earlier tonight, and there could be a tag team match next week. Izzi and Tatum vs. Sol Ruca and Zaria. Whoever scored the pinfall, would get a shot at Sol’s NXT Womens North American Championship, and if Sol won, she got to choose her own partner. Surely if they were your real friends, they wouldn’t keep this opportunity from you and would be happy for you to have the chance to advance your career with a title opportunity”. Tatum pondered it for a moment, before she started beaming, agreeing with the master manipulator, Izzi Dame…

A little further into the show, Ava indeed confirmed everything that Izzi Dame said as correct. She approached the NXT Womens North American Champion Sol Ruca and Zaria and told them it’s official, they would face Izzi and Tatum next week. Sol and Zaria didn’t look overly comfortable, with the situation but they understand they have no choice. Sol asked Ava, “Tatum is really in an unstable mental state at the moment. The last thing we want to do is set her off. If we can talk to her and potentially talk her out of this match against us, her only real friends, would you reconsider”? Ava admitted that would be unprecedented but she’s open to doing what’s best for all her NXT superstars. This led to Sol and Zaria sharing a look, knowing exactly what they must do…

END.

Maybe I need a new rolling dice simulator, because NXT is getting smashed right now...

Booking Challenge Week #3
NXT got hit for the third week in a row here. The challenge I was set this week was “A random wrestler turns from heel to babyface”!

Admittedly, I went the supposed easy route for this one. The turn I went for was after getting kicked out of The Culling, Brooks Jensen has turned face and attempted to rekindle his friendship with Josh Briggs.

I say the easy route because a Brooks Jensen face turn was in my plans, however it was going to be teased out. Jensen would be a shell of himself, being picked on by The Culling, losing all self-confidence. It was going to be Briggs who tried to give a pep talk to Jensen at some point which would lead to him finding himself.

Obviously that’s all down the drain now, and for those who have read the NXT I just posted, I’ve started to move The Culling, or at least Shawn Spears, onto something else.

Week 1 Booking Challenge – NXT – Book a tag team best of seven series – In Progress with Briggs and Inamura vs. The High Ryze

Week 2 Booking Challenge – NXT – Book two top starts to join forces – Jasper Troy and Trick Williams are now a unit.

Week 3 Booking Challenge – NXT – Turn a random heel wrestler to a babyface – Brooks Jensen turned face by saving his former friend Josh Briggs, and his new tag team partner, Yoshiki Inamura from an attack by The High Ryze.

Raw and NXT were fun reads. I still love the Jasper Troy as NXT Champion story, gives me those Leon Ruff as NA Champ back in 2020 vibes...

Wanted to get these predictions in before I check here in ten minutes and the show is already posted lol

ROH World Championship Match:
Bandido (c) vs. Mascara Dorada

Eight Man Tag Team Match:
Ultimo Guerrero, Averno, Gran Guerrero and Euforia vs. Don Calls Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Josh Alexander and Hechicero)

AR Fox vs. Neon

Champions vs. Champions
Angel De Oro and Niebla Roja (c) vs. The Sons Of Texas (c)

ROH Womens Championship Match:
Athena vs. Persephone

Bonus Questions
1. Which promotion will come out on top, having won the most matches by the end of the night (AEW/ROH or CMLL)? AEW probably doesn't want to lose CMLL since AAA left them, so I think it's best for business for CMLL to leave here on top for now...
3. Who will score the winning fall in the eight man tag? Ultimo Guerrero
4. Who will drop the fall in the champions vs. champions match? Dustin, he has been over since 91 doing jobs...
5. What will be the final image we see before the show goes off the air? CMLL standing tall, possibly a surprise of Samoa Joe on the entrance ramp, wanting to get the title back for ROH, cool little moment for him after all these years...
