Also just want to call out I'm linking PPV/Weekly Specials in the roster posts on the opening page of the thread. For example, you'll see hyperlinks under the PPV schedule for Fyter Fest in the AEW post now. Figured it's helpful if anybody, including myself, needs to go searching for a particular big show. Anyway, here's my first ROH show ever, much like previous were my first AEW shows ever. Milestones all over the place.

Only two weeks away from CMLL vs. AEW/ROH in Mexico City, the returning, all conquering ROH Womens Champion Athena went from having no challengers, to two women very interested in her gold. In the opening contest of the night, the team pitting CMLL’s Persephone and AEW mainstay, Thunder Rosa defeated Athena’s student of sorts in Billie Starkz and Leila Grey. Rosa managed to finish off Grey with the Tijuana Bomb.

Despite being scheduled to make her return a little later on in the night, Athena stormed down to the ring. The furious champion got into the ring and went ballistic at Rosa and Persephone for beating her protégé in Starkz. Rosa didn’t back down though and her eyes drifted towards the title sitting across Athena’s shoulder. Eventually cooler heads prevail, and this one ended with a heated stare down between Athena and the two victors.

That wasn’t the last we would hear from the ROH Womens Champion on this particular night though. In her scheduled return slot, the main event of course, Athena handily defeated Lady Frost after nailing the Despicable Knee. Not finished their, Athena would get a microphone and run down Billie Starkz for making her look bad in her defeat earlier in the night. As Starkz looked downtrodden from the abuse, surprisingly, her opponents from earlier in the night, Persephone and Thunder Rosa interrupted.

Rosa wasted no time getting in Athena’s face, daring the champion to bully her instead. The two fiery women went nose to nose and Athena said she was sick of her, and she couldn’t wait to defend her title at CMLL vs. AEW/ROH… against Persephone!!! It looked as if Athena was talking to Rosa, but she swerved everybody and wants to face Persephone instead. The CMLL wrestler was obviously all for it, whilst Rosa was conflicted. She looked torn between being happy for her friend, but disappointed at having her own thirst for gold go unquenched because the champion is potentially avoiding her.

Athena wasn’t the only person in a mood after a loss, as former ROH Television Champion Nick Wayne was still disgusted with Christian Cage. Being ‘The Patriarch’, Christian, in an urge to prove Wayne to be great, opted for him to defend the ROH TV Title at Fyter Fest last night, despite a recent gruelling New Japan schedule recently. Having lost the title, Wayne aggressively told Christian off for costing him the TV Title. Christian tried to be diplomatic about it, but Wayne would barely let him get a word in. Sensing some trouble in paradise, Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne attempted to intervene to keep the piece. Instead of a handshake or a hug to put these issues behind them, Wayne stormed off, announcing he needs to go work on getting his title back and he’ll do that alone.

On the topic of the ROH TV Title, the NEW champion ‘Shotty’ Lee Johnson was interviewed in the back, and of course Blake Christian was with him. Lee was surprisingly humble, as he talked about the origins of ROH, fighting for honour and being the best champion he could be. With a parting shot at the former champion Nick Wayne, Johnson stated all his goals and ambition start with Johnson actually showing up to ROH each week and being prominent on the show.

His prominence started off well as Lee Johnson defeated Aaron Solo at around the five minute mark. Solo was valiant in defeat, but Johnson finished him off rather comfortable with the One Shot. Interestingly enough, after the match, as Johnson celebrated, Blake Christian joined him in the ring, holding onto the ROH TV Title for a few moments longer than necessary, before handing it over to the rightful champion…

The quartet known as the Don Callis Family were in action as Hecichero, Josh Alexander, Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita destroy four unnamed Luchadores. The match is over in two minutes when Takeshita takes mercy and pins one of them after landing the Power Drive Knee!

That wasn’t the end of the night for all the members of the Don Callis Family though. Later on in the night, the ROH World Champion Bandido had the opportunity to cut a promo. He talked about how much he loves being the World Champion, and much like Lee Johnson, he wanted to ensure the champions are active. Whilst he wasn’t able to compete tonight, Bandido confirmed that he would defend his title against Mascara Dorada at CMLL vs. AEW/ROH.

Just as it seemed like the segment was ready to wrap up, Bandido was approached by Don Callis himself, and the man who pinned Bandido last night, Josh Alexander. Alexander and Callis continued with their recent interest in the ROH Title, with Callis mocking Bandido and his crocodile tears for not competing tonight. According to the smooth talking Callis, Bandido is not an honourable, fighting champion. He picks and chooses when to fight, and he’s damn sure picking his opponent, and avoiding a fight with Alexander with the title on the line.

Bandido vehemently denied the accusation, before Callis and Alexander leave. As they were on their way out, Callis flippantly told Bandido “rest your neck for that title defence next week. It must be saw from all that ducking”. Underneath his mask, Bandido was trembling with rage, furious at having his character questioned…

Outside of an eight man tag team match which has no true impact on ROH’s tag division, it was an uneventful night for the division. That is, outside of one small thing. Tired of just getting by on their looks, even if they are “really really RIDICOLOUSLY good looking”, MxM Collection let it be known that they want to be taken seriously as in ring competitors. The best way to do that is for them to do something they haven’t done, before, they WILL capture the ROH Tag Team Titles in the future…

Finally, the show came to conclusion in a strangely eventful, unique, non ROH way of doing things. A vignette aired of a bunch of people staggering around a dessert, almost in a trance. In the middle of the sea of people, a spaceship lands, yes a spaceship folks, and as the ramp descend from the spaceship, Dalton Castle steps out, accompanied by The Boys. With a peacock feather in his hand, Castle tells the boys that it’s good to be back, and along with that future tag team partner they discussed, it’s time to break some hearts.

END.

The final Impact before Against All Odds, and the final Impact at the Brampton taping, had yet another demonstrated of the unhinged nature of Mustafa Ali. Ali’s demeanour and character has changed dramatically since coming out on the losing side of a feud with Mike Santana, and that continued here. The show opened with Indi Hartwell defeating Tasha Steelz. Despite interference from The Great Hands, Indi regained control and hit the Impatient for the win.

Post her celebration, Indi exited the ring and things from here became chilling. As The Great Hands assisted Steelz to her feet, Ali started to dress all of his posse down. He mouthed insult after insult to all of them, but then really zeroed in on Steelz. Tasha looked distraught with the loss and just listened as Ali continued. Her lack of reaction set him off though, and Ali grabbed Steelz by the hair!!! He asked if she was listening, and when she answered affirmatively, he asked if she was sure, he even sadistically twisted her hair, causing her to drop to her knees.

The Great Hands were lost, unsure what to do, but definitely hesitant to stand up to their boss. Thankfully there was one man who was not afraid to stand up to Ali, and that was Sami Callihan. Sami ran down and slid into the ring, only for the psychotic Ali to immediately leave the ring. The Great Hands attempted to fight Sami, but he managed to clear them from the ring relatively comfortably. Whilst standing guard in the ring, Callihan allowed Steelz to get up and leave, causing confusion across the face of Steelz.

Furious with the outcome tonight, later on in the show, Mustafa Ali was in the locker room yet again telling off Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands. Luckily for Steelz, this time he wasn’t physical, but he was certainly displeased. As he continued to read them the riot act on how unimpressive they are, the lecture gets interrupted by Sami Callihan barging into the locker room. Ali immediately shields himself behind the same people he was just calling “worthless”, but Sami just smirks. Sami mentioned he wasn’t there to fight right now, but he was there to call Ali a bully. And one thing Callihan hates more than anything is a bully, especially a male bullying a female. Sami revealed that he had just spoken to Santino Marella, and Sami would get the opportunity to show Ali what he does to bullies when they meet at Against All Odds!!!

Another match was confirmed for Against All Odds during this show, and it was for the TNA International Championship. During last week’s episode of impact, Steph De Lander announced that Mance Warner was hungry for gold and wanted the International Title. Only one week off a success defence of the strap against Matt Cardona, the TNA International Champion Steve Maclin was interviewed by Gia Miller. Maclin was proud of his defence last week and claimed that challengers can keep stepping up and he’ll keep knocking them down. He was distracted with Cardona last week, but he heard that Warner wanted a shot, and Maclin doesn’t want to waste time. Maclin announced that he will defend the TNA International Championship against Mance Warner at Against All Odds…

Speaking of title defences and implications, there was an actual title match on this show also. After being pinned by Eric Young at Under Siege, the TNA X Division Champion Moose agreed to defend against Young during last week’s show. Initially The Northern Armory and The System were at ringside with their respective partners, but there was carnage at ringside, and the referee ejected everybody. Once it was a one on one match, Young used all his veteran instinct and wile, but it wasn’t enough, as he fell victim to the same Spear that has taken out countless victims. Moose successfully defended the TNA X Division Championship against Eric Young…

The heated title match was the end of the night for Young, but it was not for Moose and The System. This week’s main event saw Frankie Kazarian go one on one with Leon Slater. Whilst Jeff Hardy is still unable to visit Canada, Matt Hardy ensured he had Slater’s back by being at ringside. It didn’t take long for Kazarian to stack the odds in his own favour, as he had The System with him. No actual violence broke out but there were constant spitfires between Matt and The System, one of them leading to Kazarian’s downfall. Kaz was simply distracted by the argument on the outside, allowing Slater to get a Roll Up out of nowhere to win the show’s main event. Leon Slater defeated Frankie Kazarian…

In somewhat of a surprise, a determined Dani Luna received some brief promo time in the back for this show. Luna talked about how disappointed she was that Spitfire was no more, but she thinks the end of every chapter opens new doors. “Spitfire is done… BUT I’M NOT”!!! Luna is ready to step outside of the tag team division and to make her name in the Knockouts singles division. She’s ready to put in the work and she finished off by vowing that one day she will be the TNA Knockouts Champion…

Regarding the TNA Knockouts Championship itself, there was no major events this week. With the title match already being official for Against All Odds, we simply saw vignettes from both champion and challenger during the show. The challenger, Lei Ying Lee was on first, showcasing her Mixed Martial Arts ability in highlights, before talking about how she has the passion and discipline required to be champion. According to her, that is why the champion sought out this match, because she realises it’s the biggest challenge on the roster.

Later on in the night, the second vignette played for this match, this time featuring the TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. The vignette demonstrated highlights of Masha simply dominating opponents, grinding them down on the canvas, and brutally woman handling them. Masha referred to wanting to defend against Lee because Lee reminded her of herself. They are both warriors. The only difference according to the champion is that only one warrior can be standing tall at Against All Odds, and it is going to be her.

A somewhat downtrodden Joe Hendry made his way to the ring in the middle of the night. His mood was off, and it was clear for all to see, as he didn’t even complete his epic turn during his entrance. It’s a disappointed and more serious Hendry than usual, as he took the time to apologise for the fans. He said that they believed in him but all he did was let them down. I let down TNA, I let down all of you fans, and now, because of me and me only, the TNA World Championship is held by an outsider”. The thought of Trick Williams as champion clearly depressed Hendry, but then he turned a corner, and talked about what’s next. The former TNA Champion revealed that his daddy always taught him to fight through setbacks and that’s exactly what Hendry is going to do. He tells everybody to mark his words, he created the problem by losing the TNA Title to Trick, but he will also solve the problem when he gets his rematch.

At the mention of the word rematch, a furious Mike Santana interrupted and made his way to the ring. The tension between the two was thick, with Hendry almost having a knowing look. He knows he accidentally cost Santana the TNA Title two nights ago on NXT. As the two biggest stars in TNA come face to face for the first time, the excitement amongst the fans is prominent for all to see. When Santana finally spoke, he talked about being in disbelief. He was in disbelief because he doesn’t understand how Hendry can be talking about his rematch and being the next to face Trick Williams. “Intentional or not, YOU are the reason why I’m not the TNA Champion right now. If you think I’m just gonna’ let that slide and ride off into the sunset, you’ve got another thing comin’”.

Hendry was sympathetic with Santana, putting his hands up, almost admitting fault. Hendry apologized for accidentally costing Santana the title, it wasn’t his intention, he was actually trying to help. He admits maybe it wasn’t his place, but he was trying to do the right thing. I’ve admitted to my mistake, and I’ve said I’m sorry. But if you think that part of serving my penance is going to be dropping my rematch to let you challenge Trick again… Well, then YOU’VE got another thing coming”.

The banter went back and forth, both men’s anger and hostility towards each other fuelled by their hunger to be champion. Things continued to escalate, and it looked like things might become physical between the two men wanting to carry the flag for TNA, when they were interrupted by First Class. Full of arrogance as ever, AJ Francis and KC Navarro threw plenty of insults at Hendry and Santana, firstly about their wrestling ability and their losses, but also about them two killing the show by bickering like a married couple.

Once First Class are down running their mouths, and believe me, that took a while, Hendry and Santan were fuming. No longer focusing on each other, both Hendry and Santana sent fiery threats to First Class. The dastardly duo feigned fear until they were interrupted by the Director Of Authority, Santino Marella. Marella wanted to be quick because he’s got his own business to deal with tonight, but he wants these four to resolve their issues. Therefore, we will see First Class vs. Joe Hendry and Mike Santana at Against All Odds.

First class seemed genuinely unhappy about the announcement, but Marella paid them no attention, immediately heading back through the curtain. Interestingly enough, Hendry and Santana were both none to pleased with the announcement either…

Later on in the night, we did get an appearance from the TNA Champion Trick Williams, however much to the disdain of the fans, it was via satellite for the second week in a row. Up on the big screen, Trick talked about TrickNA, and how he doesn’t have to even be in that second rate town to run the show. The champion continued to gloat until he chuckled at Joe Hendry and Mike Santana arguing over him earlier. He thought it was funny because he had beaten both of them, and if he needed to, he’d do it again. Just like how he planned to beat Elijah at Against All Odds.

Suddenly, a strumming of a guitar interrupted the scene, and to huge cheers, Elijah made his presence felt. Trick is annoyed, watching on from the screen, but what’s interesting is that Elijah foregoes his usual concert, instead choosing to place his guitar on the entrance ramp. In an aggressive tone, Elijah talked about how he has sat back tonight and listened to himself being disrespected over and over again.

Trick sitting there and talking about Hendry and Santana, only mentioning Elijah as an afterthought is a huge slap in the face to him. At the same time, his friend Hendry and Santana coming to the ring and arguing in the public about who would face Trick next was blatant disrespect. They were acting as if Trick beating him was a sure thing, and that was more disrespect.

Trick attempted to interrupt, stating “They actin’ like that because that’s the way it is”, but Elijah vehemently disagreed. Tonight he hasn’t graced the fans with a concert and a song, because this title opportunity at Against All Odds is too important to joke around with. Elijah is ready to prove the naysayers wrong. He’s ready to be the flagbearer for TNA. Mark my words, at Against All Odds, just like I have tonight, Trick, I will show you a side of me that nobody has ever seen before. It’s not going to be good for you, I WILL beat you, and then that TNA Championship around your waist will walk the same way that I do”.

The champion shook his head, disagreeing with the challenger’s words, and the only left to do, is to see who is correct after Against All Odds...

There was more women’s action on this show as the war between Rosemary AND Xia Brookside continued. Rosemary for months now has been on a mission to bring out the darkness in Brookside, and whilst glimpses were shown at Under Siege, Rosemary wasn’t finished. Her next plan to bring out a new side of Xia, Monsters Ball. The two had approx. fourteen minutes here in what was clearly match of the night. They both tore each other apart in a hotly contested Hardcore battle. In the end, Brookside showed her willingness to get down and dirty yet again, nailing a Brooksie Bomb onto a stack of chairs to get the win. Xia Brookside defeated Rosemary in a Monsters Ball match.

After the match, an exhausted Brookside celebrated before exiting the ring. As she was heading up the ramp, she stopped to take a finally look at Rosemary. Despite being in agony and lying amongst broken chairs, Rosemary was smiling as she yelled to Brookside repeatedly, “FEEL THE DARKNESS IN YOUR SOUL… FEEL THE DARKNESS IN YOUR SOUL”! It was an eerie message from the scary Rosemary, as Brookside, a little taken aback, simply turned away and continued through the curtain…

In other news, before their tag team title opportunity at Against All Odds, Gia Miller was able to catch up with The Rascalz. Both men, Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz admitted that they were excited for Against All Odds as it had been to far to long since they had held tag team gold. According to The Rascalz, that will all change tomorrow night, because after all that they have been through, they are better than they’ve ever been. Mock applause interrupted the interview as the TNA Tag Team Champions The Nemeths enter, with both Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth pretending to be wiping away tears. Nic told them that their inspirational speech was exactly that, just an inspirational speech, but it meant nothing. The Nemeth’s don’t do speeches, they do actions, and there’s no way they are losing the tag titles tomorrow night.

Ryan chimed in, basically just parroting his brother in an unintentional comical fashion. Once he’s done, The Rascalz shake their heads and tell them they’ll have plenty of real tears to wipe away when they no longer hold the tag titles. The four men then stare each other down, with Gia Miller looking both cute and uncomfortable…

Finally, in an office in the back, without any of their respective backups, Robert Stone and Santino Marella had a face to face sit down. They discussed their match at Against All Odds at length, with the stipulation of Santino’s Director Of Authority position being on the line as a huge point of discussion. Stone talked about how Santino is a broken down old man, and he is in his physical prime. Stone will beat Marella and TNA will fall under Sheriff Stone’s jurisdiction. Marella begged to differ, he said he would win for his family, and for TNA, with Marella keeping his dialogue short and sweet. By skipping any comedy tonight, Marella puts over just how important this match is for the future of TNA…

END.

~ Indi Hartwell defeated Tasha Steelz.
~ Moose defeated Eric Young to retain the TNA X Division Championship.

Sorry, a bit later than expected. With daughters second birthday and finding out baby Stojy #2 is on the way, has been a really busy time. Here's the Countdown show, unsure when I'll actually produce Against All Odds.

Secondly, thanks for those who have left predictions. Others can still drop them before I post Against All Odds, but obviously you'll automatically lose a point for not getting them in for the kick off match.

Countdown to Against All Odds – June 6th, 2025
Mullett, Arizona

RINGSIDE – COMMENTARY POSITION

Our commentary duo of TOM HANNIFAN and MATTHEW REHWOLDT formally welcome everybody to the Countdown show. Despite being thirty minutes before showtime, the arena is pretty full, with the fans wanting to get their money’s worth tonight.

They promote how gigantic of a night this is for TNA, and for one man in particular, and that’s the challenger for the TNA Championship, Elijah. As they discuss the overly focused and serious demeanour we saw from Elijah on Impact this week…

***

BACKSTAGE – PARKING LOT

Some footage accompanies the commentary teams narration, and it’s a video of ELIJAH walking through the doors of the arena. Much like on Impact, Elijah looks primed and ready for what is arguably the biggest match of his career…

***

RINGSIDE

As the opening was occurring, one man has managed to sneak his way down to the ring. Standing proudly in the centre of the ring, dressed as formally as can be, is the man simply known as THE CONCIERGE. He gets a fair bit of heat as he stands as classily as he can, left hand tucked behind his back, as the right hand has a microphone.

The Concierge:
Ladies and gentlemen…

Boos immediately drown out the words of The Concierge, who looks disgusted.

The Concierge:
Please shut your filthy, uneducated mouths. I have something important to say.

As he tries to stare down some members of the crowd, he just gets more heat. After waiting a few moments, he continues.

The Concierge:
Ladies and gentlemen of…

He pauses and hastily pulls a piece of paper from his pocket, unfolding it and reading it. With a look of disdain he tucks the paper away.

The Concierge:
Ugh, Mullett Arizona…

The screwed up face gets more cheap heat.

The Concierge:
Get on your feet, bow your heads and prepare to slap your dirty, sweaty hands together. Your life is about to be changed forever, because you’re about to be graced… BY ELEGANCE!!!

***ELEGANCE***

Not exactly having the fans on side, the ladies associated with the ‘Elegance brand’ strut their way through the curtain. ASH BY ELEGANCE stands in the middle, with HEATHER BY ELEGANCE on the right, both women wearing one of the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships. On their left, looking brand new after her recent makeover is M BY ELEGANCE.

The three stand at the top of the ramp, arrogance radiating off them, as The Concierge applauds. They slowly make their way down the ramp and step into the ring, where they begin to worry less about looking good. They know they’re in for an interesting battle tonight…

Six Woman Tag Team Match:
By Elegance w/The Personal Concierge vs. Harley Hudson, Myla Grace and Xia Brookside

In an aim to get the fans amped up immediately, this one starts with an extremely high pace. The unlikely babyface trio of Hudson, Grace and Brookside come in all guns blazing and take it to the heels. They fight off By Elegance and clear them from the ring, where the frazzled women liaise with their Personal Concierge in regard to strategy.

Instead of maintain composure, By Elegance all storm the ring at once, showing their frustration. It doesn’t work to their advantage as Ash and Maggie get thrown out of the ring quite easily by Brookside and Hudson. This leaves Myla Grace to tee off on Heather inside the ring, the rookie really making her feel it. After peppering Heather with punches to the face, Grace bounces off the ropes to build some momentum… HEATHER USES GRACE’S MOMENTUM TO LIFT HER UP AND DROP HER ACROSS THE TOP ROPE… FLAPJACK!!!

It just takes that one inexperienced mistake, but now the entire match changes. It settles into a regular tag format now, with Heather able to isolate Grace for the Elegance brand. Heather rolls Grace over onto her back and mounts her, throwing unprotected right hands over and over to her face.

As the referee pleads with Heather to cut the closed fists, she decides to relent altogether. Heather tags in Maggie, who uses her power to easily hoist Grace up… BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!!

Instead of going for a cover, Maggie begins dragging Grace back up, as Hudson and Brookside look concerned in their teams corner. Maggie locks in a Bear Hug and begins really squeezing the life out of Grace. The agony is written all over the face of Grace, as Maggie woman handles her, throwing her from side to side.

Grace shows tremendous heart and resilient, constantly telling the referee between groans of pain that she refuses to quit. More or less getting impatient, Maggie ragdolls Grace to the canvas, giving up on the submission hold. Eager for the tag now is Ash, and Maggie listens to the leader of the group and tags her in.

Full of arrogance and confidence, Ash struts over, drags Grace up and throws her outside of the ring. With Grace on the outside, Ash looks over to Hudson and Brookside and blows them a sickening kiss. Both women want to get in and get a piece of Ash, causing the referee to turn his back and focus on keeping them at bay.

The referee distraction is in play, so Heather and Maggie jump off the apron, and begin stomping the life out of poor Grace on the floor. Once they get tired of stomping all over her, Heather heads back to the apron, but Maggie picks Grace up… AND WHIPS HER SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE STEEL STEPS!!!

The ref hears the noise and looks around, but despite the mess on the outside, there is no actual proof of foul play. Snickering at the result of their cheating, Ash heads to the outside and slowly brings Grace up, rolling her back inside of the ring. With a huge smirk on her face, Ash drops a quick Elbow Drop, and THEN LIES ON GRACE FOR A LAZY PIN…

GRACE KICKS OUT!!!

There are no signs of frustration shown from By Elegance, as they all seem content for the match to continue. Ash lays a few kicks to the ribs, knowing that she is in commanding control. The kicks end up sending Grace to the ropes, where the referee ensures that Ash gives a clean break. She does for a moment, before coming back and she starts paint brushing Grace with her boot.

Boos ring out from the fans for one half of the tag champions, but Ash doesn’t care. She’s living her best life just bullying Grace right now. At a methodical pace, Ash slowly brings Grace up… ONLY TO WHIP HER EXTREMELY HARD INTO THE OPPOSITE TURNBUCKLE!!!

The velocity is so bad it causes Grace to fall face down to the canvas. Grabbing at her back, the valiant Grace slowly tries to start crawling towards her corner, desperate to make a tag. Ash is all over it though, yanking at Grace’s foot, keeping her at a distance from her corner and laughing as she does so.

Suddenly, Ash’s face and mood changes, looking as if she’s had enough of playing around. She drops the leg of Grace and instead grabs Grace’s head and puts it between her legs. Ash hoists her high in the air… SITOUT POWERBOMB!!!

ASH KEEPS HER STACKED FOR THE PIN…

BROOKSIDE HITS A DIVING FOREARM TO THE BACK TO MAKE THE SAVE!!!

A big pop from the fans as at the same time, HUDSON SPRINTS ACROSS THE RING AND KNOCKS BOTH HEATHER AND MAGGIE OFF THE APRON WITH RIGHT HANDS!!!

The referee ushers Hudson and Brookside back to their corner, but it all results in only a moments respite for Grace. Ash remains in control, slowly dragging Grace up… ASH GETS HER UP FOR A POWERBOMB AGAIN!!!

NO!!! THIS TIME GRACE REVERSES INTO A HURRICANRANA!!!

Full of adrenaline, the fans cheering loudly, both men get back to their feet immediately. Having suffered less punishment, Ash is a little quicker, and SHE GETS GRACE UP INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY…

BUT GRACE SLIDES DOWN AND GETS AN ARM DRAG!!!

With the coast clear, Grace DIVES across the ring… MAKING THE HOT TAG TO XIA BROOKSIDE!!!

Brookside steps in like her life depends on it and just UNLOADS on Ash by Elegance. Rights, lefts and everything in between, Brookside just stays right on Ash. Starting to panic, Maggie steps in AND RUNS AT BROOKSIDE… BUT XIA DROPS DOWN AND PULLS THE TOP ROPE… LOW BRIDGING MAGGIE TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

Slapping the concrete floor in annoyance, a fired up Maggie bounces right back to her feet… SO HUDSON TAKES HER OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!!!

Inside the ring, Brookside brings Ash to the centre and lands a kick to the gut… FOLLOWED BY A FACEBUSTER!!!

BROOKSIDE HOOKS THE LEG…

HEATHER BREAKS IT UP AND SAVES THE MATCH FOR BY ELEGANCE!!!

The Reckless one heads back to the apron, as Brookside gets up but is a little groggy from the cheap shot. Xia staggers to her teams corner and tags Myla Grace back in, before exploding across the ring and knocking Heather off the apron in revenge.

As Heather tumbles to the floor, she lands at the feet of Hudson and Maggie who are continuing to brawl all around ringside. Heather is quickly trying to get up to help Maggie outnumber Hudson, but inside the ring, the faces have another plan. With Ash still down, Grace gets on her hands and knees near the ropes, and Brookside runs… LEAPING ONTO AND THEN OFF OF THE BACK OF GRACE TO JUMP OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TAKE OUT HEATHER YET AGAIN!!!

That spot gets a huge pop from the fans, as Brookside seemingly wins over more fans by the day. Clapping her hands with joy, Grace pumps her fists in the air… BEFORE TURNING INTO A HARD BOOT TO THE FACE FROM ASH!!!

Sensing her chance, Ash drags Grace back up… HOISTING HER INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY!!!

NO!!! Grace slides down… THROWING ASH ONTO HER OWN SHOULDERS!!!

Ash is squirming, in trouble… SO THE PERSONAL CONCIERGE LEAPS ONTO THE APRON!!!

Grace throws Ash off her shoulders… AND CHARGES ACROSS THE RING… KNOCKING OFF THE PERSONAL CONCIERGE OFF THE APRON!!!

Grace turns back to Ash, right into a boot to the gut… ASH LANDS ANOTHER SITOUT POWERBOMB!!!

THREE!!!

WINNERS: BY ELEGANCE VIA PINFALL at 10:32.

Xia Brookside is FURIOUS as she shrugs herself free, but it’s to late. Ash quickly rolls out of the ring before Brookside can get to hear, and the fans shoot plenty of heat in the direction of By Elegance.

The trio get together with the tag titles and The Personal Concierge, and they back up the ramp. By Elegance celebrate as they back up the ramp, getting out of dodge, their business completed for the night.

Meanwhile, inside of the ring, Hudson has joined Grace and Brookside. Grace is visibly upset, still down on the canvas, although heartbroken with the loss. Hudson is quick to head over and help Grace up, the two consoling each other.

Standing on the other side of the ring watching on, Brookside encourages the fans to applaud the two youngers for their effort.

The fans give them a nice ovation…

UNTIL BROOKSIDE RUNS THROUGH THEM WITH A DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!!!

Stunned silence fills the arena as Brookside stares down at the two youngsters. Hair covering her face, breathing heavily, Brookside pays the crowd no attention, as she exits the ring and picks up a STEEL CHAIR!!!

Sliding back in, Brookside stands over Hudson, who battles to her hands and knees… WHACK!!! CHAIR SHOT ACROSS THE BACK!!!

The sound echoes and the fans gasp accordingly. Brookside SLAMS THE CHAIR TWO MORE TIMES ACROSS THE BACK OF HUDSON..

BEFORE REPEATEDLY SLAMMING THE CHAIR ACROSS THE BACK OF GRACE AS WELL!!!

Finally, Brookside relents, dropping the bent out of shape steel chair. There’s nothing but a sneer on her face as she slowly leaves the ring and heads up the ramp.

The crowd begins to stir as ROSEMARY steps through the curtain, wearing a devilish smirk. She’s been encouraging Brookside to embrace the evil for week and has she gotten her wish tonight.

Rosemary is all smiles, almost eerily, but Brookside does not even look at her. She keeps her head down, in a silent rage, brushing passed Rosemary and heading backstage.

Even Rosemary looks a little surprised, as everybody wonders, just what is going on with Xia Brookside?

BACKSTAGE – LOCKER ROOM

The scene opens up to show a blazer wearing TASHA STEELZ, a concerned look on her face. She looks far more vulnerable than normal, most likely due to Mustafa Ali’s outburst on this week’s impact. She’s with THE GREAT HANDS, who admittedly, look equally as concerned.

Jason Hotch:
Are you sure you’re okay, Tasha?

Steelz shrugs uncomfortably.

Tasha Steelz:
I’m okay I guess…

There’s an awkward silence amongst the three of them.

John Skyler:
What Ali did to you was not okay.

Steelz nods.

Tasha Steelz:
I agree.

Tasha takes a deep breath, readying herself.

Tasha Steelz:
I was caught in shock on Impact, but believe me, it won’t happen again.

The Great Hands seem to want to inquire about that statement, but before they can, MUSTAFA ALI himself bursts into the room. Despite not having dealt with any of them yet tonight, Ali looks at each of them with absolute disgust.

Mustafa Ali:
Whoa, whoa, I don’t care what you were talking about, let’s talk about something important.

All three of Ali’s followers listen intently, despite their mistreatment.

Mustafa Ali:
Tonight, I will not accept mediocrity… Great Hands, I expect you to be even better.

Ali stares both Hotch and Skyler down until they nod. The leader of the group then makes his way towards Steelz, who can barely meet his eye.

Mustafa Ali:
As for you little miss damsel in distress… You need to step up your game before you’re off this campaign for good.

Tasha gulps in fear.

Mustafa Ali:
No excuses, no sob stories, no nothing. When I make the signal, I expect you all to do your job.

Oblivious to how badly he’s coming across, Ali leaves. Once he’s far enough away, The Great Hands and Steelz huddle together, animatedly discussing something that doesn’t look good…

RINGSIDE – COMMENTARY POSITION

Our commentary duo of TOM HANNIFAN and MATTHEW REHWOLDT discuss Mustafa Ali’s getting closer to the edge of insanity since losing to Mike Santana. They talk about how now the treatment of his administration members is isolating him from them and could mean trouble in the future. Suddenly, they go silent, looking confused, because standing next to the desk with a mic is STEPH DE LANDER.

Steph De Lander:
I’m not sorry for the interruption, guys. These people would much rather here what I have to say instead of you two anyway.

Split reaction from the fans, some agreeing, some not.

Steph De Lander:
I came out here tonight to remind everyone that tonight is the crowning moment in Mance Warner’s career.

She looks proud as punch but the fans boo.

Steph De Lander:
Tonight, Mance Warner beats Steve Maclin and becomes the TNA International Champion.

More heat, but the obnoxious SDL is all smiles anyway.

Steph De Lander:
And then we’ll take our act, as the hottest couple in TNA, worldwide.

SDL drops the mic across the announce desk, giving the commentators one last, lingering look before leaving…

Another video package airs, this one hyping the showdown between ROBERT STONE and SANTINO MARELLA, with Santino’s job as Director Of Authority on the line.

***

BACKSTAGE – OFFICE

ROBERT STONE is taking tonight very seriously, already limbering up and stretching for the match on Against All Odds. Watching him with concerned looks on their faces are TESSA BLANCHARD and VICTORIA CRAWFORD.

Victoria Crawford:
Come on, Robert.

Tessa Blanchard:
Are you sure you don’t want us out there with you tonight?

Stone snickers, brimming with confidence.

Robert Stone:
I’m positive, ladies. I’ve got it all under control.

Suddenly, the door of the room they are in swings open, and Storm looks at whoever entered gleefully. We can’t see entered, but Blanchard and Crawford look impressed.

Robert Stone:
He is my backup plan in case things go wrong which is why I can handle this without you two.

Blanchard and Crawford don’t resist any further, as Stone intensively looks towards whoever the mystery back up plan is.

Robert Stone:
I know where you want to end up and I know it’s not TNA. You know I have stroke where you want to go, so play your cards right tonight, and I’ll help you get there.

Stone goes back to stretching and we fade away. That’s all we see, we need to save some mystery for the main show…

TNA International Championship Match:
Steve Maclin (c) defends against Mance Warner w/Steph De Lander

Having heard the words of SDL during the Countdown show, a fired up Maclin points at her and lets her know “YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN”. She scoffs and Warner doesn’t look overly bothered, but when the bell rings, Maclin EXPLODES. It’s not military precision from the champion in the early stages, as he just stuns and overwhelms Warner with a flurry of strikes.

All a stunned Warner can do is cover up and absorb the blows as Maclin switches between forearms and kicks to the gut now. Warner begins to understand the pattern of attack, swatting more shots away, so Maclin rips out some European Uppercuts! These come through rather unexpectedly and really shock Warner, to the point where after a third, he flops to the canvas and rolls outside of the ring.

The referee cautions Maclin and requests for him to stay inside of the ring. Meanwhile, Warner gets major heat from the fans, with SDL worried and checking on him. Mance pays her little attention and strolls around ringside, stalling, and then biting back at the annoyed fans. After a few more moments of this, Warner slowly rolls back inside of the ring.

The challenger cautiously remains near the ropes, using the top rope to pull himself back to his feet. Hearing something displeasing, he turns and yells at a member of the audience, before TURNING BACK INTO MACLIN CLOTHESLINING HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

A big pop emanates from the crowd, as Warner lands with a splat on the outside. This time there is no stopping the champ, as he sidesteps the referee and follows Warner to the outside. Maclin begins to slowly bring Warner back to his feet, but stops when SDL, as vindictive as ever, gets a little close for his liking. Maclin lets go of Warner and stomps towards SDL, trying to intimidate her.

It works to as SDL hurries around the bend and to the outside of the ring. Maclin points menacingly at SDL, ONLY TO BE GRABBED FROM BEHIND… WARNER THROWS MACLIN HEADFIRST INTO THE RING POST!!!

SDL applauds excitedly whilst Warner grimaces, still requiring a moment to shake out the cobwebs. Still, Warner knows he needs to capitalize so he drags Maclin up and sends him back into the ring. After following Maclin in, Warner now managed to wear down the champion, keeping him grounded. All of Warner’s offense is focused on the head and neck area of Maclin.

As Maclin shows his resilience and refuses to stay down for a three count, the assault from Warner just gets worse. He gets super vicious and intense with his offense, taking this more seriously than potentially any match prior to this one. Despite Warner’s best efforts, Maclin shows the heart of a champion and refuses to give in.

Getting frustrated, Warner looks to chance tact, and he actually allows Maclin to get back to his feet. Warner grabs Maclin from behind… LOOKING TO GRAB THE GRIP FOR A DRAGON SLEEPER!!!

NO!!! Maclin gets a lightning fast go behind, maintaining a Waist Lock on Warner. The challenger tries frantically to break Maclin’s grip but can’t so Maclin sprints forward towards the ropes. Surprisingly, Maclin relinquishes Warner’s waist at the last moment… AND MACLIN SHOVES WARNER IN THE BACK WITH TWO HANDS… SENDING HIM TUMBLING THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

In an impressive show of athleticism, Warner lands on his feet, but Maclin is already bouncing off the opposite ropes to build momentum… TOPE SUICIDA!!!

Maclin beats his chest when he gets back up on the outside, feeling the adrenaline after his big move. After stomping on Warner a few times, and of course keeping an eye on SDL, Maclin hoists Warner up and sends him back inside of the ring.

Instead of following as per usual, the champion opts to use the ring steps to climb up to the apron. In an un Maclin like move, he then begins climbing up to the top rope. Maclin remains perched on top, surprisingly steady and when Warner is back up… MACLIN COMES OFF THE TOP WITH A SLOPPY CLOTHESLINE!!!

It didn’t look perfect, but it landed, as our commentary team put over the threat of Warner causing Maclin to try different things. Not wanting to waste time, Maclin is quick to drag Warner back to his feet… MACLIN TAKES HIM BACK DOWN WITH AN OLYMPIC SLAM!!!

Instead of going for the cover, Maclin is distracted as SDL jumps onto the apron. She argues with her usual Aussie twang, as Maclin slowly heads towards her. SDL continues to argue but then when Maclin gets really close, she smirks and leaps off the apron. Shaking his head in irritation, Maclin turns back towards his opponent… CLOTHESLINE FROM WARNER!!!

NO!!! MACLIN DUCKS…

AND TAKES WARNER OVER WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX!!!

MACLIN MAINTAINS THE BRIDGE…

NO!!!

WARNER KICKS OUT!!!

The champion remains focused, pulling himself back up and Maclin watches Warner intently. As the brute battles to his feet, Maclin bounces off the ropes and charges towards Warner… WARNER EXPLODES WITH A SPINEBUSTER OUT OF NOWHERE!!!

The sound of Maclin’s back crashing against the canvas echoes throughout the arena. With a vicious smirk, Warner gets back up, seeing Maclin struggling on his hands and knees. Warner pulls his knee pad down and measures Maclin, before charging… KNEE PAD UP, KNEE PAD DOWN!!!

NO!!! MACLIN ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY…

AND THEN POUNCES WITH A ROLL UP…

WARNER JUST ESCAPES!!!

Both men bounce to their feet relatively quickly off the flash pin. They run at each other… MACLIN DAMN NEAR TAKES WARNER’S HEAD OFF WITH A LARIAT!!!

NO!!!

WARNER ONLY JUST ROLLS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT THIS TIME!!!

Shaking out his arm from feeling the impact, Maclin takes a deep breath and then gets back to work. The champ synchs in a Side Headlock and guides Warner towards the corner of the ring. Once in the corner, Maclin picks Warner up for a Scoop Slam, but instead positions him in a Tree Of Woe position in the corner.

The fans begin to buzz with anticipation, knowing what’s coming, as Maclin backpedals to the opposite corner. Unbeknownst to Maclin and the referee, SDL has gotten up on the apron and is fiddling with Warner’s feet. Maclin readies himself and sprints across the ring… SPEAR IN THE CORNER!!!

NO!!! MACLIN COLLIDES SHOULDER FIRST WITH THE RINGPOST!!!

IT TURNS OUT SDL HAD UNHOOKED WARNER’S LEGS AND THROWN HIM TO THE SIDE!!!

SDL urgently barks instructions to Warner, who slowly battles to his feet. Warner grabs the fallen Maclin and drags him to the centre of the ring. Warner then puts Maclin’s head between his legs… PILEDRIVER!!!

NO!!! MACLIN EXPLODES OUT WITH A BACK BODY DROP!!!

Clutching at his back, Mance is back to his feet, but he staggers into Maclin, who hoists him in the air… KIA CONNECTS!!!

MACLIN HOOKS THE LEG…

WINNERS: STEVE MACLIN VIA PINFALL at 9:30.

An appreciate response can be heard from the fans, as whilst this was never going to be a classic, Maclin obviously tried hard. The referee presents him with the International Championship and Maclin raises it high in the air, exhausted but content.

Meanwhile, a furious SDL helps Warner licks his wounds and head to the back. The real story here though is another successful title defence for Steve Maclin…

Six Man Tag Team Match:

***

Six Man Tag Team Match:
Leon Slater and The Hardy Boyz vs. The System w/Alisha Edwards and Moose

Both teams were cagey towards each other, refusing to take an eye off their opponents as they decided who started the match. After some careful deliberation, both teams settled on Matt Hardy and JDC. Despite all the teams interactions with each other over the past few months, these two start with a really basic Collar and Elbow Tie Up.

Both men jostle for position, neither able to gain it and Hardy transitions into a Side Headlock Takedown. Somewhat unexpectedly, the two transition into some mat wrestling, and have some pretty awesome exchanges on the canvas. Matt uses his experience to potentially be one step ahead at times, but JDC holds his own.

After a rope break to disrupt a Key Lock, a frustrated JDC tags in Brian Myers. The former tag team champion wants to prove a point, running at Hardy, but Matt uses his momentum to embarrass him with a Fireman’s Carry. From here, Matt has his way with Myers, really stretching the shit out of him in a surprising strategy.

Sensing things getting bad for his team early, Eddie Edwards begin badmouthing Jeff Hardy. “YOU’RE LUCKY THIS EVENTS NOT IN CANADA, JEFF”! Gasps come from the audience for the shoot comment, but Jeff plays it no mind. Edwards’ mind games don’t really work out for them though, as when he’s done having his way with Myers, Matt Hardy takes him to the face teams corner, and tags in Leon Slater.

Stepping in the ring, Slater points at Moose, sending a message that he wants the X Division Championship. Moose shakes his head in denial as Slater grabs Myers from Hardy and lands a hard right hand. The blow causes Myers to stagger backwards and fall on his ass. Perhaps a sign of Slater’s inexperience in tags though, Myers lands in his corner and makes a quick tag to Edwards.

Slater looks almost guiltily towards The Hardyz, knowing he may have dropped the ball there. Matt and Jeff both reassure him it’s okay with nods of their head, and so the youngster gets ready for Edwards. Eddie is too cocky for his own good though, continuing to hurl insults at Jeff, which allows Slater to lock in and really have his way with Edwards.

Slater continues to be in complete control. Starting to panic, JDC AND MYERS RUN IN TO INTERRUPT… BUT JEFF HARDY TAKES THEM BOTH DOWN WITH A FLYING CROSSBODY!!!

Completely frazzled, JDC and Myers roll to the outside. Inside of the ring, Edwards works to his feet but realises he’s stuck in the ring with Slater and a furious Jeff Hardy. Eyes bulging wide with fear, Eddie drops to the canvas and heads to the outside. All five heels discuss their options inside of the ring… WHEN SLATER TAKES THEM ALL OUT WITH A CORKSCREW PLANCHA!!!

The pop is huge for the high risk move of Slater, who smirks down at the fallen Moose. Knowing he has to pick on somebody who is actually competing in the match, Slater grabs a hold of Edwards and rolls him back in. As Slater follows him in, Edwards scurries to his corner and makes the tag to JDC.

The artist formerly known as Fandango gets in and runs at Slater, falling straight into an Arm Drag, followed by a second. The youngster continues to wrench the left arm of JDC, and it’s clear that it’s starting to take its toll. Manoeuvring JDC to the corner of the ring, Slater tags Matt Hardy back in.

Showing his experience, Matt really starts wrenching the arm of JDC, doing all he can to cause JDC pain. Eventually, Matt pulls JDC back to the centre of the ring by the arm and lands a few elbows to the top of JDC’s structure. Matt then relinquishes his grip on JDC’s arm and bounces off the ropes… BUT EDWARDS KNEES MATT IN THE BACK AS HE BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES!!!

The blow causes Matt to fall towards the centre of the ring, where JDC runs through him with a Clothesline! Now The System do what they do best and get the chance to isolate one of their opponents. They really punish Matt Hardy, keeping him down, focusing on his mid-section, which seems to be hurt the most from the well placed knee by Edwards earlier.

As the beatdown continues, Slater and Jeff Hardy are both losing patience on the apron. They cheer Matt on, keeping the fans involved, and encouraging him to make a tag. Meanwhile, Edwards continues to take any chance to get at Jeff, “THIS ISN’T 2011 ANYMORE, JEFF… NOBODY CARES”!

Things continue to look bad for Matt, until he’s in the ring with Myers, and he manages to shrug Myers away. Before Myers can react, Matt goes for a kick to the gut… No! Myers catches the kick… Enzuiguri by Matt! Both men remain down after the momentum changing shot, with both teams now full of urgency.

The fresher of the two, Myers crawls faster, reaching his corner and tagging in Edwards. Edwards gets in and notices Matt getting WAY to close to making a tag. Eddie sprints across the ring, but instead of stopping Matt… EDWARDS KNOCKS JEFF HARDY OFF THE APRON INSTEAD!!!

Jeff gets sent crashing chest first into the crowd barricade, and he’s now struggling to breathe on the outside. Whilst Edwards took care of Jeff, there’s one other partner for Matt… AND MATT MAKES THE HOT TAG TO LEON SLATER!!!

Slater comes in like a crazy ball of energy, cleaning house with his uncontrollable fast paced offense. It doesn’t matter who comes at him, he takes care of them. Slater gets a little too focused on Myers and JDC though, allowing Edwards to sneak up to him from behind.

Before Edwards can strike though, Jeff Hardy comes from nowhere and spear tackles Edwards to the floor. Somehow, Eddie remains on his feet, but Jeff barges him into the corner. Once inside of the ring, Edwards uses both arms to cover up as Jeff goes insane with both rights and lefts. Eddie looks in trouble until Myers comes from nowhere, looking to drag Jeff off of Eddie.

Myers is successful in getting Jeff to the centre of the ring and away from Edwards, but Jeff isn’t in the mood. He blocks a right hand from Myers, hits a boot to the gut… TWIST OF FURY FROM JEFF!!!

Meanwhile, Edwards is still trying to gather his wits in the corner… WHEN SLATER POPS HIM WITH A CORNER HIGH KNEE!!!

Slater lands on his feet like a cat, backing away from Eddie and the corner of the ring. JDC spins him around from out of nowhere and gets him high in the air… FALCON ARROW!!!

Jeff is out of it after that but instead of going for the cover, JDC is on his feet, where Jeff Hardy meets him with right hands. Jeff manages to back JDC against the ropes, where Edwards was just trying to escape the corner. Seeing them both dazed, Jeff runs at them… DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE SENDS JDC DOWN!!!

Edwards cops the blow to but somehow the ropes hold him up and he remains on his feet. Eddie is spaghetti legged though, so Jeff runs past him and starts scaling the corner… MODIFIED WHISPER IN THE WIND!!!

Whilst an offensive move, it’s a bit of a rough landing for Jeff, and he takes his time getting back to a vertical base. When he does, Jeff gets pummelled from behind by Brian Myers. Looking a little angrier than earlier, Myers stands over Jeff, stomping all over him… UNTIL MYERS GETS DROPPED BY A DOUBLE AXE HANDLE OFF THE TOP FROM MATT HARDY!!!

Big cheers come from the crowd as Myers crumbles to the canvas and rolls underneath the bottom rope for a breather. Myers puts his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath, when Matt bounces off the ropes… TOPE SUICIDA FROM HARDY!!!

Meanwhile, inside of the ring, Edwards gets back to his feet BUT TURNS INTO A SITOUT JAW BREAKER FROM JEFF HARDY!!!

Eddie falls on his back, lying in the centre of the ring, holding his jaw. Sensing his chance, Jeff runs to the corner and ascends to the top rope. The rainbow haired wrestler rips off his tip, showing his less than impressive physique, which still makes the women squeal. Anyway, Jeff comes off the top… SWANTON BOMB!!!

Jeff is winded after the spot, doing his best to get to his feet, but struggling. Suddenly, JDC comes from nowhere, grabs Jeff… AND JDC THROWS JEFF OUTSIDE OF THE RING!!!

With a proud smile on his face, JDC turns back towards the centre of the ring… INTO A TWISTING SUPLEX FROM SLATER!!!

The young gun sprints to the corner and heads to the top rope. He stops for a moment, shooting Moose a wink, before leaping off the top… SWANTON 450 CONNECTS!!!

Exhausted, SLATER JUST LIES ON JDC FOR THE COVER…

WINNERS: LEON SLATER AND THE HARDYZ VIA PINFALL at 12:15.

The result resonates with the fans, a loud pop ringing out as Slater gets arguably the biggest win of his career so far. The young star stands alone, getting his hand raised, before he once again, turns his attention towards Moose. Slater motions that the X Division Title will be around his waist. Moose isn’t happy, shaking his head, but the fans are excited at the prospect of Slater vs. Moose.

The celebration continues with both Hardy brothers joining their inexperienced friend, and we get a feel good celebration before heading to our next scene…

VIDEO PACKAGE

The package focuses in on the face of a navy suit wearing MUSTAFA ALI. He’s looking as prim and proper as always, campaigning mode never switching off, however there’s a slight twitch to his face.

The package switches to shots of Ali being on top of the world when he first joined TNA. We then see a clip of Ali being pinned by MIKE SANTANA, leading to clips of his behaviour ever since, with Ali becoming more and more unhinged.

Ali’s behaviour culminated in putting his hands on TASHA STEELZ, which lead to SAMI CALLIHAN of all people making the save. Will Sami be able to beat this behaviour out of Ali, or will Ali take things to another level tonight?

Singles Match:
Mustafa Ali w/Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands vs. Sami Callihan

Once both men are inside the ring and the bell is rung, Ali has the same look on his face that he’s had recently. It’s lifeless, emotionless, but there’s a fury in his eyes which means danger for his opponents. Despite all of Ali’s emotions and Sami desperately wanting to teach Ali not to be a bully, the match begins rather tamely. They lock up and briefly exchange some chain wrestling, which leads to some brief mat work.

Ali slips into cocky mode early, using superior technique to ride Sami, but then Callihan uses his power advantage to just throw Ali off of him. A little unnerved, Ali pauses for a moment, but Callihan uses Ali’s momentum to get a Side Headlock Takedown! Ali squirms to try and escape, but Sami uses his weight and strength advantage to basically just lay there, keeping Ali contained.

The frustration builds within Ali, who is stuck right in the centre of the ring, unable to make the ropes. With the referee clearly watching, Ali has no choice, and he digs his fingers into the eyes of Sami, causing Callihan to break the hold. The fans boo loudly for the cheap tactic, but Ali could care less, scrambling to his feet and ignoring the irate referee.

Ali looks to slowly bring Sami back to his feet, but Callihan was potentially playing possum. Sami explodes, shrugging off Ali, before starting to throw some vicious right hands. Sami lands shot after shot, backing Ali against the ropes, before Irish whipping him into the ropes, and when Ali comes back, Callihan runs through him with a Clothesline!

Ali bounces off his feet and runs into another Clothesline. And then rinse and repeat, it happens a third time. The culmination of blows has gotten to Ali, as this time he stays down on the mat. Sami doesn’t let that last long though, using Ali’s hair to drag him back to the middle of the ring… CRADLE KILLER!!!

NO!!!

Before Sami can get Ali up in the air, Ali manages to wriggle free. He simply shoves Callihan away, sitting on his own backside. Knowing he was close to being finished there, Ali scoots backwards towards the corner, remaining sitting on his ass. Ali puts his hands up, begging off, pleading with Callihan to stop. Sami just smirks, showing he still has that sadistic side, and he stomps right over to Ali… BUT ALI GRABS THE WAIST BAND OF SAMI’S PANTS… AND PULLS SAMI THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND TO THE OUTSIDE!!!

A veteran move there from Ali, allowing himself a moment or two to breathe. After regaining his composure, Ali opts to not even bother getting back to his feet, instead he just rolls underneath the bottom rope and to the outside. Ali approaches Sami just as he battles back to his feet, so Ali lands a few quick body shots to soften Sami up. Ali then hooks Sami in position… ALI VERTICAL SUPLEXES SAMI… GETTING SAMI TO LAND BACK FIRST ACROSS THE CROWD BARRICADE!!!

Callihan yelps in pain, falling to a heap at ringside, whilst Ali looks super impressed with himself. The leader of all the talent at ringside, Ali looks over at the unenthusiastic Steelz and Hands and tells them, “THAT’S HOW IT’S DONE”. Callihan is more like dead weight now, but Ali slowly manages to heave him up and roll him back inside of the ring.

Chock full of confidence, Ali slowly follows in and has his way with Sami now. Ali continues to work over the back and mid-section of Callihan, aiming to wear him out and take away his explosive power. Sami constantly tries to fight back, refusing to stay down, but knees to the mid-section from Ali, and elbows across the back are enough to keep Sami at bay. Ali decides some more trash talk is warranted, “I’M BULLYING YOU, SAMI, WHAT’RE YOU GONNA’ DO ABOUT IT?”

Showing off more of his vicious side, Ali holds the ropes for leverage and stands with both feet across the throat of Sami. The referee orders the clean break at the count of four and a half, but Ali doesn’t mind. As the referee admonishes him, Ali makes signals behind is back towards The Great Hands and Steelz.

It seems they know exactly what to do, as Jason Hotch jumps up onto the apron. Hotch beckons the referee over, and they begin arguing, which is the perfect distraction. Sami has managed to crawl his way over to the ropes, draping himself over the middle rope… SO TASHA PULLS DOWN ON HIS HEAD, IN ESSENCE CHOKING SAMI WITH THE MIDDLE ROPE!!!

Ali smirks at his loyal campaign worker, as Steelz shows she’s still believing in the cause. Suddenly though, the referee ignores Hotch due to crowd noise and turns… CATCHING STEELZ IN THE PROCESS OF CHEATING!!!

The fans pop as Steelz puts her hands in the air, proclaiming her innocence. The referee shakes his head, rounding up Tasha and The Great Hands… AND THE REFEREE EJECTS THEM ALL FROM RINGSIDE!!!

Ali’s eyes go wide as he runs his hands through his air, a mix of shock and fear on his face. He brushes passed the referee and heads outside the ring, fury now taking over. Ali locks eyes with a concerned Steelz on the outside, makes a beeline towards her… AND ALI GRABS STEELZ BY THE HAIR YET AGAIN!!!

Tasha drops to her knees as Ali yanks, blaming her for what has happened. Ali continues to berate her verbally as well… WHEN ALI IS PULLED OFF OF STEELZ…

BY THE GREAT HANDS!!!

Hotch and Skyler have had enough, and they tell Ali off for putting his hands on Steelz. Ali is in complete shock as The Great Hands yell at him, before turning their back on him and helping Tasha to her feet. After a few more tense moments, Ali nods his head approvingly and apologizes. They simply shake their heads at their leader, looking disappointed, and as per their ejection, they leave ringside.

They don’t stop to take a single look at Ali as they head backstage. Seeing Sami recovering inside of the ring, Ali gets his mind back on the task and slides back into the ring. Once in, he lands a few more sharp elbows to Sami’s back… BEFORE APPLYING A STANDING OCTOPUS HOLD!!!

The gruelling hold is applied perfectly by Ali, and all Sami can do is grunt in pain, unable to escape. At one point it looks as if Sami might pass out due to the pain, but then he gets a second wind out of nowhere. With the audience behind him, Sami starts trembling, trying hard to escape, and finally he does, countering the hold into a Hip Toss!

Sami remains on his feet, albeit in pain, as Ali bounces back to his feet immediately. Ali runs at Sami, wanting to maintain the advantage, but Ali gets rocked by a barrage of right hands from Sami. Much like earlier in the match, Callihan sends Ali bouncing off the ropes, just to take his head off with a Clothesline. Also much like earlier tonight, Sami quickly follows up with a second and third, until Ali remains down.

Callihan brings Ali back to his feet, not giving him anytime to move. Ali shrugs Sami off thought and rakes the eyes yet again. With Sami momentarily blinded, Ali shoves him hard in the back, sending Sami crashing sternum first into the corner turnbuckles. Callihan stumbles out of the corner, and Ali grabs him… MOONSAULT SIDE SLAM!!!

NO!!! CALLIHAN SLIPS OUT OF ALI’S GRIP…

BUT ALI LANDS ON HIS FEET!!!

An incredible display of athleticism from Ali gets some gasps from the audience. Sami doesn’t care though, DROPPING ALI WITH A SIDEWINDER SUPLEX!!!

Callihan stands over Ali now, a smirk on his face, before he bounces off the ropes multiple times. It’s a blast from his past AS SAMI CONNECTS WITH THE PEOPLE’S STOMP!!!

On instinct, Ali gets up straight away, albeit grabbing at his face. Sami grabs a hold of Ali… CRADLE KILLER!!!

NO!!! ALI BREAKS FREE OF SAMI’S GRIP AGAIN!!!

Before Callihan knows what has happened, Ali is already running at him from a different direction… TILT A WHIRL DDT!!!

It has been a hard fought match, and both men remain down after this exchange. The referee’s count reaches six until Ali crawls and uses the ropes to get to his feet. Callihan is attempting to struggle to his feet to, and with a panicked look on his face, Ali begins signalling for somebody from the back to come.

Ali frantically continues this motion until Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands step through the curtain. A big grin comes across the face of Ali, as he nods approvingly, wanting them to come back to ringside to help him finish the match. Ali is beckoning, wanting them to hurry, but instead, they remain at the top of the ramp. Ali looks confused, WHEN TASHA AND THE GREAT HANDS SHAKE THEIR HEADS… TELLING ALI NO, THEY WILL NOT HELP HIM!!!

Ali is in shock, shaking his head with disgust, yelling that “I’LL DEAL WITH ALL OF YOU LATER”! A furious Ali then turns his attention back towards Callihan, who is still down in the centre of the ring. Ali heads to the corner and leap to the top rope like only he can… Ali leaps off… 054!!!

NO!!! SAMI ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!!!

Ali remains down on his hands and knees, gasping for air after the uncomfortable landing. Meanwhile, Sami senses the opportunity, ROLLING ALI INTO A LA MAGISTRAL CRADLE…

THREE!!!

WINNER: SAMI CALLIHAN VIA PINFALL at 13:18.

The fans pop loudly as the result is definitely an upset. Sami immediately rolls out of the ring, not trusting Ali to try and do something dastardly after the match. Meanwhile, Ali runs his hands through his hair, eyes wide in distress, and he immediately argues with the referee that it was a two count.

The referee confirms it was three before exiting the ring to raise Sami’s hand. Slowly, Ali’s attention turns towards Steelz and The Great Hands standing on the ramp. They all stare at him, faces of granite, as Ali slowly begins to tremble with rage…

BACKSTAGE – GORILLA POSITION

As soon as JASON HOTCH, JOHN SKYLER and TASHA STEELZ step through the curtain, they are greeted by Gia Miller.

Gia Miller:
Tasha, Great Hands, just quickly, what was that? Did you just turn your backs on Mustafa Ali?

Steelz shakes her head, slightly bemused by the question.

Tasha Steelz:
No. We didn’t turn our backs on Ali, what we did was prove a point. The point is, we will not just be Ali’s doormats. We will not just stand around and be mentally and physically abused by Ali.

The trio nod in agreement.

Tasha Steelz:
The words still ring true; in Ali we trust… But he needs to trust us as well.

Jason Hotch:
Damn straight.

They look set to leave when Gia stops them.

Gia Miller:
Sorry, one last question if I may. Tasha, you’ve been getting some mysterious phone calls recently. What can you tell us about those?

Steelz looks taken aback by the question, before regaining her composure after a second of panic.

Tasha Steelz:
Nothing.

Now it’s Gia’s turn to be taken aback by the short response, as Tasha and The Great Hands walk away. This interview is over…

RINGSIDE

***KAZ***

The audience perform a mixture of gasping and groaning due to the unannounced appearance of FRANKIE KAZARIAN. Wearing one of his own merch t-shirts and a pair of jeans, Kazarian looks as smug as ever as he saunters down the ramp and steps into the ring.

Almost provokingly smirking at the fans for their reaction, Kaz grabs a mic, ready to explain to everybody why he’s here.

Frankie Kazarian:
I bet a lot of you are wondering right now, Frankie, why are you here?

The crowd murmurs in agreement.

Frankie Kazarian:
Well quite frankly, it’s none of your business!

Major boos.

Frankie Kazarian:
The king of TNA doesn’t need to explain himself to anybody, let alone you losers here in Arizona.

Cheap heat but it’s loud, and Kazarian laughs in response to it.

Frankie Kazarian:
But… But for the sake of context, I will provide you peons with some much needed clarity. I’m out here tonight because this is one of TNA’s original events, this is Against All Odds…

Pop from the fans, but Kaz’s face and mood suddenly shifts.

Frankie Kazarian:
So can somebody please explain to me how in the hell we can have this event and not have TNA’s last standing original be on it?

Mixed reaction from the fans, as Kaz looks furious at being left of the card.

Frankie Kazarian:
TNA management must have their heads so far up in the clouds, and clearly Santino Marella and Robert Stone are too busy with their little lovers quarrel…

A disgusted look is written all over the face of Kazarian.

Frankie Kazarian:
They’re clearly too busy to think about what’s actually best for this company. So I’m out here tonight to do what’s best for Against All Odds, and that’s at least have me on the show in some sort of capacity.

The fans don’t necessarily agree but Kaz heeds them no mind.

Frankie Kazarian:
And that capacity is really simple, the king is about to issue a challenge.

Now there’s a sense of anticipation amongst the crowd.

Frankie Kazarian:
I’ve been watching this man for a while and I watched the matches so far tonight, and I’m really impressed with the TNA International Champion Steve Maclin.

Mild pop for the mention of Maclin.

Frankie Kazarian:
I’m so impressed in fact that I think it would be quite the feather in my crown to take the International Title from Steve Maclin.

The fans give heat as they don’t want to see that happen.

Frankie Kazarian:
So Steve Maclin, I don’t care when, I don’t care where, but I’m officially challenging you for a shot at your title.

With a confident smirk on his face, Kaz bends down to place his mic on the canvas, but before he can…

***DO UNTO OTHERS***

A nice pop greets TNA International Champion STEVE MACLIN as he makes his way towards the ring for the second time tonight. Now donned in a t-shirt with his tights underneath, Maclin limps down the ramp, feeling the effects of his gruelling title defence earlier tonight.

Maclin comes equipped with a mic, and once in the ring, looks the unwavering Kazarian right in the eye.

Steve Maclin:
I accept!

Big pop for the no nonsense approach from Maclin, and Kaz is all smiles with that answer.

Frankie Kazarian:
Considering you’ve already had a match tonight, I just want to say it’s pretty courageous for you to come out he-…

WHAM!!!

KAZ STOPS SPEAKING AND DECKS MACLIN WITH THE MICROPHONE!!!

The unexpecting champion falls to the mat, and Kazarian stands over him. The crowd boos the antics of Kazarian, but he doesn’t care as he drops the mic. Instead of leaving, he digs into his tights and pulls out a pair of brass knuckles.

Kaz has his fist cocked and loaded, awaiting Maclin who pulls himself back up…

BOOM!!! KAZ KNOCKS MACLIN UNCONSCIOUS WITH THE BRASS KNUCKLES!!!

The heat gets louder for Kazarian now, as he admires his handiwork. He then bends down and rips the International Title from the waist of the lifeless Maclin.

Kaz puts the title around his own waist and seems to like it. All smiles, he climbs up to the top rope, posing with the title to more boos.

Having completed his celebration, Kazarian looks to take the title off, but then changes his mind. Kaz shakes his head… AND HE EXITS THE RING WITH STEVE MACLIN’S TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST!!!

Stealing the title, Kaz wears a devilish grin, having not appeared on the card, but having certainly made a hell of an impact at Against All Odds…

TNA Knockouts Championship Match:
Masha Slamovich (c) defends against Lei Ying Li

Being the dominant women on the roster for a period of time now, it’s clear Masha has plenty of confidence. To try and throw her off her game, Li throws a few kicks, only whiffing air but simply letting Slamovich know that closing the distance is a risk. The champion nods, impressed, but also seemingly knowing exactly what Ying is trying to achieve here.

They continue to circle each other in a real cagey opening, neither wanting to over commit early. Suddenly, Masha takes one step forward… LI SWINGS WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!

NO!!!

Masha ducks under the kick, remains down with the level change and gets a Double Legged Takedown on Li. All the challenger can do is cover up as Slamovich is super aggressive, mauling Li with punches and elbows. The ground and pound continues, until Li manages to slide backwards, performing a hip escape and then she kicks Masha in the chest, essentially pushing Masha off of her.

Both women scramble back to their feet, but the champion is relentless. Masha is right back in the face of Li, landing more hard strikes. On commentary, they talk about Masha wanting to close the distance to not allow Li’s kicks to take over. Slamovich continues hammering away, with Li backing into the corner where the champ continues to tee off.

Eventually, the referee gets to a count of four so Masha backs away, allowing Li to stagger out of the corner. Slamovich quickly scores with a Dropkick though, the velocity sending Li tumbling through the middle ropes and to the outside. Frustration written all over her face, Li is quick to get back up, but she doesn’t hurry getting back into the ring.

Wanting to further assert her dominance, Masha climbs up the top rope, inviting Li to get back into the ring. Li maintains her composure though, walking around the ring with her hands on her hips, potentially considering a new strategy. Li then enters the ring, and she raises a hand in the air, offering a test of strength.

Masha smirks, seemingly comfortable with this idea, and accepts the test of strength, and as their left hands lock… LI STRIKES WITH A SURPRISE KICK TO THE HEAD!!!

The kick was more about shock factor and pace, so isn’t hit with full impact. It’s still enough to cause Masha to stagger, and the fans surprisingly give Li some heat for the cheap tactic. The challenger doesn’t care though, immediately pouncing on Masha, landing a few right hands before whipping her into the corner of the ring.

Li charges in after Masha… No! Masha gets a boot up right into the face of Li. The blow staggers Li, but she quickly shakes it off, and charges in again… BACK BODY DROP OVER THE TOP ROPE FROM MASHA!!!

WOW!!! LI LANDS ON HER FEET ON THE APRON!!!

SO MASHA DRILLS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND, SENDING LI CRASHING TO THE FLOOR!!!

After the barrage from the champion, Li remains on her hands and knees, taking a while to get back to her feet. Once she’s recovered, she pushes herself back up… MASHA DIVES OUT TO THE FLOOR WITH A PLANCHA!!!

NO!!! LI SIDESTEPS THE FLYING BODY OF MASHA… AND MASHA LANDS NASTILY ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR!!!

Li doesn’t take advantage right away, needing a few more moments to shake out the cobwebs herself. Once she’s ready, there’s a look in her eyes that says she knows this is her opportunity. Li helps bring Masha to her feet… BEFORE WHIPPING HER HARD INTO THE RING POST… AND MASHA COLLIDES WITH IT COLLARBONE FIRST!!!

The champion is in real trouble now, struggling on the floor. Li drags her up and this time rolls her back into the ring. Not wanting to get pinned, Masha immediately rolls to her stomach on instinct, but Li doesn’t seem to mind. She steps over Masha, AND LOCKS IN A STRETCH PLUM!!!

The submission hold is torture for the champ, really targeting her body which just collided with the ring post. Li stands tall, really cranking the pressure, but Masha refuses to submit. The hold stays on, until with an explosion, Masha is able to roll through and get her foot across the bottom rope.

This earns her some momentarily relief before Li grabs her by the legs and drags Masha back to the centre of the ring. Grabbing both of Masha’s hands to keep her in position, LI PERFORMS HER OWN VERSION OF THE DANIEL BRYAN STOMP… WITH EVERY STOMP LANDING RIGHT ON THE COLLARBONE OF THE CHAMP!!!

After tiring herself out, Li finally relents, now stalking Masha, who valiantly struggles to her hands and knees. Seeing this, Li bounces off the ropes, THUNDERSTRUCK CONNECTS!!!

LI HOOKS THE LEG…

…1…

………………………..

…2…

………………………..

NO!!!

MASHA SHOOTS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT WITH AUTHORITY!!!

Masha’s explosion of activity causes Li to roll off her, and Masha even rolls to her back herself… BUT LI LOCKS IN THE CROSSFACE!!!

Another brutal submission hold applied by the challenger, and all Masha can do is scream in pain. Masha struggles for a while, refusing to submit, but not getting any closer to the ropes. This time when she attempts a roll through to escape, Li rolls with it and keeps the hold applied. Luckily for Masha though, she’s now close enough that she can drape a hand over the bottom rope.

The referee implores Li to let go and thankfully she relinquishes her grip right away. Li rips Masha away from the ropes, dragging to her feet, and then whips her into the opposite ropes. Li runs right after her… CYCLONE KICK!!!

NO!!! MASHA SOMEHOW MANAGES TO SIDESTEP IT!!!

AND THEN POUNCES WITH A DRAGON SUPLEX!!!

Both women remain down, and the referee begins to count. Slowly, they both show signs of life, slowly pulling themselves up. Of course, they meet in the centre of the ring where Li throws a desperation right hand. Masha sees it coming, blocks it and lands one of her own. The blow stuns Li, so Masha lands a second, and a third, and a fourth.

Eventually Li backs against the ropes, Masha looks to whip her to the opposite ropes, but Li looks to reverse and send Masha across instead. Masha bounces off the ropes, and Li ducks her head, thinking Back Body Drop, but it’s telegraphed… MASHA HITS THE TIGER DRIVER!!!

MASHA KEEPS LI STACKED FOR THE PIN…

NO!!!

LI MANAGES TO KICK HERSELF FREE!!!

Masha just kind of shrugs, thinking that would be it, but Li’s barely moving and doesn’t look to have much left. Sensing this, Masha brings Li to her feet, before lifting her high in the air… SNOW PLOW CONNECTS!!!

MASHA GETS THE COVER…

THREE!!!

WINNER: MASHA SLAMOVICH VIA PINFALL at 12:33.

Another hard fought victory by Masha, but she remains on top of the world. When given her title by the referee, she raises it above her head, getting a nice reaction from the crowd.

The positivity continues even as she rubs her collarbone, but suddenly the mood changes…

***KILLER***

Whoa! It’s a surprised reaction from the fans and even Masha’s eyes go wide in shock, as KILLER KELLY makes her long awaited return to TNA. The former enemy and then tag team partner of Masha’s has her dog collar in her hand, and slowly, eerily approaches the ring with it.

Kelly smirks once inside the ring, whilst Slamovich is uncertain how to react. Kelly takes a beat and then drops the collar at Masha’s feet. Without any further explanation, Kelly turns around and leaves.

Masha is left clinging to her Knockouts title, completely confused with the return of her friend/enemy/frenemy?

BACKSTAGE – RANDOM HALLWAY

A focused JOE HENDRY is walking, assumedly on his way to make his entrance, as his match is scheduled next. He walks to where there is a fork in the hallway, and coming from the other side, and almost bumping into him as the two walkways become one is MIKE SANTANA.

The tension immediately rises as the two go nose to nose, knowing their goals conflict with each other.

Joe Hendry:
So, we’re a team tonight then?

Mike Santana:
One night only.

Hendry looks to the ground, smirking at the quick response from Santana.

Joe Hendry:
I couldn’t agree more.

Santana nods but doesn’t smirk like Hendry.

Mike Santana:
Good, because I don’t wanna’ team with your TNA World Title costing ass any more than I have to.

Hendry looks awkward about it, Santana remains intense.

Joe Hendry:
Look, I’ve apologised for that numerous times now. It was a mistake.

Santana scoffs.

Joe Hendry:
I can see you’re still upset though, so I just want to make sure. Are you going to have my back tonight?

Santana clearly needs the time to think about this.

Mike Santana:
Yeah, but like I said, for one night only. After that, I’m chasin’ that World Title again, and if you get in my way, the gloves are comin’ off.

Hendry nods, accepting the answer. The two then turn and look to walk the same way down the hallway. They brush shoulders as they do, both looking uncomfortable and unhappy with teaming tonight…

Tag Team Match
First Class vs. Joe Hendry and Mike Santana

Most likely outmatched in a singles scenario, AJ Francis and KC Navarro are extremely hesitant in the early stages. They stall when it comes to select who will be the legal man first. They use the ‘cool’ tactic of playing rock, paper, scissors to decide, but the look in their eyes says they are genuinely concerned about what they’ve gotten themselves into.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring, there has been no communication. Santana simply hasn’t budged. He’s decided he’s starting the match, and Hendry shrugs, realising he has no choice. With Santana ready to go, finally, Francis insists that Navarro be the legal man for this, and the referee takes that as we are ready to go.

Santana and Navarro lock up and to KC’s credit, once the action heats up, his hesitation disappears. They go back and forth, with Navarro surprisingly holding his own. Eventually the pace quickens, and Navarro gets sent bouncing off the ropes. When he comes back, Santana catches him with an Arm Drag… No! Navarro lands on his feet!!!

It's an incredible feat of athleticism from Navarro, but it’s not a clean landing. He does stagger a couple of steps to his right, but that just takes him to his own corner. AJ has changed his attitude now and he’s happy to tag in, and then much to the chagrin of Santana, Hendry blind tags himself in. The slap on the back wasn’t appreciated by Santana and the two go nose to nose, before Hendry continues walking towards the task at hand.

Unlike the previous duo, these two do not start with a lock up. Hendry understands that Francis is probably too big and too strong for that, so instead he socks the big man in the jaw with a right hand. A furious Francis retaliates and the two trade rights, until Hendry starts using his quickness to slip AJ’s punches, and still land his own heavy shots.

Repeated shot after shot begin to take effect on Francis, who begins to get really wobbly on his feet. Noticing this, Hendry bounces off the ropes to build momentum and runs through AJ with a Clothesline! The former World Champion remains on Francis, hoisting him up to his feet and landing some more shots, before whipping him to the ropes again.

This time as AJ bounces off the ropes, Navarro blind tags himself in. Hendry doesn’t notice, looking to take AJ’s head off with another Clothesline, but Francis ducks. Before Hendry can react, Navarro then kicks Hendry in the gut, before AJ lifts him up for a BACK SUPLEX… NAVARRO GRABS HOLD OF HENDRY’S NECK… BACK SUPLEX/NECKBREAKER COMBINATION!!!

As Francis exits the ring, NAVARRO GETS THE LATERAL PRESS…

…1…

………………………..

NO!!!

HENDRY POWERS OUT, SENDING NAVARRO FLYING ACROSS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING!!!

Being so close anyway after his landing, KC rolls underneath the bottom rope and gets onto the ring apron. He’s perhaps thinking springboard, waiting for Hendry to get up, but Hendry gets up quickly, and shows incredible athleticism, sprinting across the ring… DROPKICK TO THE KNEE OF NAVARRO SENDS HIM FALLING AND CRASHING FACE FIRST INTO THE RING APRON!!!

Francis is irate, arguing with the referee and Hendry himself, allowing Santana to leave his teams corner. Santana approaches Navarro, and almost looks like he’ll show him mercy, and only roll him into the ring. Instead he decided to land a quick punch to the mid-section, and then he rolls KC back in. Once back inside, Hendry and Santana surprisingly work as an effective unit.

They isolate Navarro and whilst their tags are aggressive and there are plenty of tension building stare down, they keep it together. They work over Navarro for a fair portion of the match, weird for faces to do, but this is a showcase for the two top faces in the company, damn it. Eventually, things start to change when Santana is in with KC, AND SANTANA DRILLS HIM WITH A SIDEWALK SLAM!!!

SANTANA HOOKS THE NEAR LEG…

…1…

………………………..

…2…

………………………..

NO!!!

FRANCIS STOMPS ON SANTANA TO BREAK UP THE COUNT!!!

Santana jumps to his feet and stares down Francis as he leaves the ring. Santana is annoyed at AJ but then gets back to business. He waits for KC to get up, before spinning to build momentum… SPIN THE BLOCK!!!

NO!!! KC MONKEY ROLLS UNDER SANTANA TO AVOID CONTACT…

AND THEN KC LANDS A SPINNING HEEL KICK!!!

Santana goes down from the shot and both men try and start working towards their respective corners. About halfway there, Santana stubbornly shakes his head, realising that he doesn’t actually want to tag his partner in. Hendry begs him, but Santana refuses, and as all this is happening, Navarro reaches his corner and tags in the fresh AJ Francis.

Santana takes a deep breath and meets Francis in the centre, but Santana is exhausted. Francis is able to maul him and haul him into the corner, where he lands severe left and right body blows. The only reprieve from Santana is when the referee gets in between them and forces a clean break from AJ. AJ circles back to the centre before turning back towards Santana… SANTANA EXPLODES WITH A CROSSBODY!!!

NO!!! AJ CATCHES HIM… WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM!!!

Not wanting to get pinned, Santana shows terrific instinct, rolling towards the ropes. A frustrated Francis looks set to follow, but without realising, Santana has rolled himself into his own corner, which means, Hendry tags himself in. Despite being in pain, Santana is annoyed as Hendry steps in and heads towards Francis… FRANCIS TAKES HENDRY’S HEAD OFF WITH A BIG BOOT!!!

SOMEHOW HENDRY FALLS BACKWARDS INTO THE ROPES BUT REMAINS ON HIS FEET!!!

FRANCIS CHARGES WITH ANOTHER BIG BOOT!!!

NO!!! HENDRY SIDESTEPS IT…

AND THEN PICKS UP FRANCIS WHEN HE’S OFF BALANCE…

FALLAWAY SLAM!!!

What an impressive showing of strength from Hendry! Hendry looks down at Francis, as the excited fans all chant “WE BELIEVE, WE BELIEVE”! Behind Hendry’s back though, Navarro has climbed up to the top rope… NAVARRO LEAPS OFF TO ATTACK HENDRY WITH A DOUBLE AXE FROM BEHIND!!!

NO!!!

SANTANA INTERCEPTS AND HITS SPIN THE BLOCK ALMOST OUT OF MID AIR!!!

The spot gets an incredible reaction from the fans, and Hendry notices what happened. Hendry nods appreciatively at Santana, before slowly dragging Francis back up… THE STANDING OVATION LANDS!!!

HENDRY GETS THE PIN…

THREE!!!

WINNERS: JOE HENDRY AND MIKE SANTANA VIA PINFALL at 12:11.

The LOUDEST ovation of the night greets the two biggest faces on the roster getting the win. It isn’t all roses inside the ring though, as after the fans raised their hands, the two go nose to nose.

Santana signals the slap on the back, letting it be known that he didn’t like the final blind tag of the match. Meanwhile, Hendry shrugs and responds…

“I’M CHASING THE TNA TITLE JUST LIKE YOU ARE… I GOT THE PIN TO GET ONE STEP CLOSER” …

Santana doesn’t like that statement, getting a step closer to Hendry. The two are literally nose for nose, jockeying for position, but as crazy as the tension gets, they never come to blows.

Instead a bucketload of officials and security come down to prevent them from going at it…

BACKSTAGE – INTERVIEW SET

Standing by at the set for the first time tonight is the lovely Gia Miller.

Gia Miller:
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time… TREY MIGUEL AND ZACHARY WENTZ… THE RASCALZ!!!

The fans inside the arena let out a positive reaction as TREY MIGUEL and ZACHARY WENTZ, collectively known as THE RASCALZ, appear.

Gia Miller:
Guys, you are just moments away from challenging The Nemeths for the TNA Tag Team Championships. How do you feel?

The Rascalz looks at each other before addressing the question.

Trey Miguel:
We feel good.

Zachary Wentz:
We feel ready.

Trey Miguel:
It has been far too long since we’ve held those TNA Tag Team Championships.

They all nod in agreeance, even Gia.

Zachary Wentz:
Tonight, that all changes.

Wentz signals for a title belt to sit around his waist.

Trey Miguel:
Tonight, we show The Nemeths just because we like to have fun and hangout in the tree house, it does not mean we aren’t the best team in TNA…

Zachary Wentz:
History.

They smirk, confident not arrogant.

Trey Miguel:
We’ve already got one championship in TNA that’s held by somebody who shouldn’t be holding it.

Clearly a reference to the TNA World Title?

Zachary Wentz:
So tonight we’re going to bring those tag titles home.

They both look content with that.

Trey Miguel:
To summarise for you, Gia…

Both:
We feel good.

The Rascalz politely nod at Gia and then leave, amped up for their upcoming opportunity...

TNA Tag Team Championship Match:
The Nemeths (c) defend against The Rascalz

They were clearly feeling good about themselves in the prior interview, and that transitioned to the early stages of the match for The Rascalz. Miguel started things out for the challengers and was almost untouchable in the early stages. He used his speed advantage over The Nemeths to keep them off balance. Despite tags and attempted double teams, Ryan and Nic just couldn’t get a handle on Miguel in the early stages.

Eventually, he tags in Wentz and it’s more of the same, with the legal Rascal dominating with fast paced, high octane, high risk offense. The match turns though when Wentz is in there with Ryan Nemeth, still in control, until Wentz bounces off the ropes for some momentum… NIC KNEES WENTZ IN THE BACK AS HE COMES OFF THE ROPES!!!

The blow causes Wentz to stop in his tracks. Wentz drops to his knees, grabbing at his back, and it’s enough for Ryan to take advantage of. From here, The Nemeths are able to isolate Wentz, paying particular attention to his head and neck area. Miguel is forced to watch on with a grimace on his face, as the intensity of the champions shows why they are the champs.

The thing that makes The Nemeth’s so dangerous is they’re already that good, but then they are not afraid to bend the rules when required as well. With their dominance in full swing, Nic gets a little too cocky at one point, taking his time in bringing Wentz to his feet. When Nic whips Wentz into the ropes… WENTZ COMES BACK WITH A BIG SWINGING HURRICANRANA!!!

Nic is frazzled by the shock blow, and Wentz wastes no time, crawling over and tagging Miguel back in. Much like the beginning of the match, Miguel’s fast paced offense and lethal body kicks keep both Nemeth’s in trouble. Miguel continues to clean house, eventually sending Ryan crashing into the corner. Miguel charges in after the younger Nemeth brother… HIGH KNEE IN THE CORNER LANDS!!!

And in shades of CM Punk for some reason, Miguel then takes him out of the corner and crashing to the canvas with a Bulldog! Gasping for air, Ryan desperately rolls underneath the bottom rope to the outside. Miguel has nothing but tunnel vision for Ryan right now, sprinting across the ring… TOPE SUICIDA!!!

NO!!! NIC INTERCEPTS WITH A SCHOOL BOY OUT OF NOWHERE…

NO!!!

TREY MANAGES TO KICK OUT!!!

Both men scramble to their feet, and Nic swings wildly with a Clothesline…No, Miguel ducks it, before kicking Nic in the gut… YOSHITONIC CONNECTS!!!

HOLY SHIT, THAT’S EARLY!!!

MIGUEL KEEPS NIC STACKED FOR THE PIN…

NO!!!

RYAN PULLS MIGUEL OFF THE PIN AND OUT TO THE FLOOR!!!

Catching Miguel off guard, Ryan immediately begins attacking Miguel with right hands on the outside… UNTIL WENTZ COMES OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH A FLYING CROSSBODY TO RYAN ON THE FLOOR!!!

The fans are amped up, as are The Rascalz, as we get a “TNA” chant from the diehard fans. The Rascalz work hard to get Ryan back into the ring, whilst Nic barely moves after the Yoshitonic. As Miguel focuses in on Ryan, Wentz does his best to roll the down Nic out of the ring and to the outside. He does so but then the referee warns Wentz to go back to this corner. This distraction… ALLOWS RYAN TO SNEAK A LOW BLOW ON MIGUEL!!!

With Miguel in agony, Ryan is able to seize the advantage and really begin working him over. Whilst he was helped by cheating, on commentary they are impressed with Ryan holding his own, whilst Nick is still incapacitated due to the Yoshitonic. Ryan keeps Miguel down, really focusing in on his back and mid-section. The viciousness on display is probably not a side of Ryan that has been shown until now.

Ryan dominates long enough for Nic to work himself back onto the apron, still feeling the effects, but now capable of putting in some work. The Nemeths now share the load, continuing to really do some damage to Miguel. After what feels like an eternity, Trey ends up in the ring with Ryan and starts fighting back with some body kicks. With Ryan shocked, he drops to one knee… STEP UP ENZUIGURI FROM MIGUEL!!!

Both men remain down for a few moments, before they start crawling towards their respective corners. Both men get the tag at the same time! Wentz and Nick come in and Wentz gets the better of Nic right from the get-go. After keeping him off balance with his fast paced offense, Wentz takes Nic down with a Scoop slam!

Wentz has a quick look to ensure Ryan won’t get involved and ascends to the top rope… WENTZ LANDS A MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP ON NIC!!!

WENTZ STAYS ON TOP FOR THE PIN…

NIC MANAGES TO GET A SHOULDER UP!!!

Wentz bounces back to his feet, fresh and full of adrenaline. He’s waiting for Nic, who’s trying to battle up… WHEN RYAN GETS IN AND CHARGES AT WENTZ…

BUT WENTZ KICKS OUT RYAN’S LEGS…

AND RYAN GOES FLYING THROUGH THE AIR… ACCIDENTALLY DROPKICKING HIS BROTHER IN THE BACK!!!

Ryan scrambles to his feet, keen to make amends for his issue, but Wentz is waiting for him… SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE FROM WENTZ!!!

Wentz is taking care of both Nemeths right now, as he’s up just in time to see Nic getting up… THANKS FR TH MMRS TO NIC!!!

Wentz looks like he’s going to try and go for the pin, but he’s grabbed by the hair from Ryan… BUT MIGUEL SPRINGBOARDS IN WITH A FLYING CLOTHESLINE TAKING OUT RYAN!!!

Miguel holds his midsection from when he was isolated earlier after the blow, whilst Ryan flees beneath the bottom rope. Ryan continues rolling, until he’s on his feet on the outside, so Miguel blocks out the pain and runs towards him… TOPE SUICIDAAA!!!

Miguel gets back up and heads to his teams corner, ready to keep an eye on the action inside the ring. In the ring, Nic slowly stumbles to his feet, having been beaten from pillar to post tonight. Wentz though is waiting for him on the apron… WENTZ SPRINGBOARDS…

BUT RYAN IS BACK IN AND SHOVES NIC OUT OF THE WAY!!!

WENTZ ADJUSTS LANDS ON HIS FEET…

MIGUEL GETS IN AND RYAN SWINGS AT HIM…

MIGUEL DUCKS… AS WENTZ HOLDS ONTO THE ROPES…

STOPPING NIC FROM LANDING THE DANGER ZONE…

MIGUEL KICKS RYAN IN THE GUT…

THREE!!!

WINNERS: ??? VIA PINFALL at 12:34.

Confusion reigns supreme as Nic Nemeth leaps into the air, celebrating his victory, but so does Trey Miguel. The fans don’t know how to react, there’s just a buzz of confusion reverberating through the arena.

Nic and Miguel notice each other and get equally confused, WHEN THE REFEREE MARCHES OVER…

AND RAISES NIC NEMETH’S HAND IN THE AIR!!!

There is heat from the crowd and The Rascalz (Wentz is back up now to) are furious. Nic gets out of dodge, dragging his brother with him, and they make sure to drag the tag titles with them.

Inside the ring, Miguel swears he had Ryan down for the three count, and the referee acknowledges that, but it makes it clear that Wentz and Nic were the legal men.

The Rascalz are distraught, realisation setting in, as they were so close, but remain oh so far away...

VIDEO PACKAGE

We get a recap of the ROBERT STONE and SANTINO MARELLA feud, which will culminate tonight, with Marella’s Director Of Authority position in TNA on the line.

***

Director Of Authority Position On The Line:
Robert Stone w/Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford vs. Santino Marella w/Arianna Grace

The atmosphere for this one is high, ringside is jam packed with all the women watching on. Once the bell rings, Santino RUNS straight at Stone, unloading with kicks and knees to the body. The current DOA lets out months of frustration on Stone, until Stone manages to poke Marella in the eye. This allows him to clobber on Marella some, until Santino crumbles to the canvas.

Sheriff Stone stays on the attack, beginning to focus on the back and neck of Marella. It’s all basic punches and kicks from Stone but it’s effective. Stone keeps up the brutality until he brings Marella to his feet. Feeling confident, Stone whips Marella into the ropes, and when Marella comes back… Clothesline! No! Santino ducks the Clothesline and lands a hard Side Kick to the chest, causing Stone to fall on his ass.

Arianna Grace points and laughs from ringside, with an embarrassed Stone rolling to the outside. He huddles up with Blanchard and Crawford, discussing strategy, ignoring all the boos from the crowd. Once the huddle has completed, Santino runs in the ring… TOPE SUICIDA!!!

NO!!! BLANCHARD PULLS CRAWFORD AND STONE OUT OF THE WAY!!!

MARELLA CRASHES AND BURNS ON THE OUTSIDE!!!

Groans emanate from the Italian and the crowd, as Blanchard gives Stone some instructions. Nodding along with the lady who most likely trained him for this match, Stone drags Marella up… AND RAMS HIM BACK FIRST INTO THE RING APRON!!!

Santino arches his back, falling to his knees in agony, and Stone stomps all over it, in complete control. Stone rolls back into the ring and grabs the referee by the shirt, dragging him into a corner to discuss something with him. As the referee has his back turned… BLANCHARD AND CRAWFORD STOMP ALL OVER MARELLA ON THE OUTSIDE!!!

UNTIL ARIANNA GRACE RUNS OVER AND STARTS BRAWLING WITH THE BOTH OF THEM!!!

The noise in the arena picks up due to the carnage and chaos of the women brawling. Stone stops holding the ref, distracted himself, which allows the ref to see the carnage. The ref immediately steps between the women… AND EJECTS THEM ALL FROM RINGSIDE!!!

None of the women are happy, either is Stone, but the decision has been made. Everybody clears off relatively uneventfully, and we’re left with Stone bringing Santino back inside the ring. He continues to work over the back of Marella, and when Santino tries to fight back, Stone has no issues cheating to ensure he maintains the advantage.

To his credit, Santino keeps trying to fight back, but Stone keeps him at bay with dull, basic offense. Bringing Marella back up, Stone sends him to the ropes, and when Marella comes back, Stone ducks his head… Back Body Drop…NO! Santino kicks Stone hard in the face to prevent the attempt.

The blow causes Stone to fall to the mat… SANTINO LANDS A SLOPPY STEP UP ENZUIGURI!!!

This match is a horrendous one, so they don’t bother with selling and just get back up. Marella gets on top with some kicks to the body and right hands now, before whipping him into the corner of the ring. Santino charges in after Stone… Corner Clothesline! Marella doesn’t let Stone collapse, instead holding him up and sending him up to the opposite corner. Santino charges in, landing another Corner Clothesline!

This time as Marella steps away it allows Stone to collapse face down on the canvas. Marella stalks Stone, waiting for him to get up, and when he does… ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!

NO!!!

STONE DUCKS IT… AND THEN RUNS THROUGH SANTINO WITH A SURPRISE LARIAT!!!

STONE PUTS AN ARM OVER MARELLA TO MAKE THE COVER…

MARELLA KICKS OUT!!!

Somehow, Stone is back in control, and he brings Marella up, ready to land the next big blow. After a few right hands, Stone Irish whips Marella into the ropes, and when Santino bounces back… STONE LIFTS HIM UP USING HIS MOMENTUM…

BUT SANTINO COUNTERS INTO A HUGE SWINGING DDT!!!

Adrenaline travelling through his body, Santino gets right back up, and this time he doesn’t wait for Stone to get to his feet. Santino drags him up, before decking him with a Roundhouse Kick! With Stone down, Santino pulls out his patented accessory and begins putting it on his hand and arm, preparing for The Cobra.

THE Cobra is loaded but Stone comes from nowhere with a poke to the eye. Momentarily blinded, Marella turns his back and walks away… STONE GRABS A ROLL UP WITH THE TIGHTS…

SANTINO GETS A SHOULDER UP THIS TIME!!!

Stone throws his head back in disappointment, almost pleading with the referee, who confirms it was only a two count. After regaining his composure, Stone gets up and wants to finish off Marella for good. Stone lifts Santino… ATTEMPTING ANOTHER SPINEBUSTER!!!

NO!!! MARELLA WRIGGLES FREE…

SANTINO STRIKES WITH THE COBRA!!!

NO!!! STONE DUCKS…

And Stone runs, bouncing off the ropes… DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!!!

AND THEIR FLAILING ARMS TAKE OUT THE REFEREE AS WELL!!!

ALL THREE MEN ARE DOWN!!!

The fans are urging Marella to get up, when out of nowhere, the place explodes as MATT CARDONA SLIDES INTO THE RING!!! Cardona surveys both downed men, before bending down and lifting Stone. Once the dazed Stone realises what’s happening, he points to his brain, indicating that this was his plan all along.

Stone then points menacingly towards Marella, who is in the process of battling to his feet. Cardona takes a few steps towards Santino…

But then turns…

CARDONA TAKES DOWN STONE WITH RADIO SILENCE!!!

The pop is HUGE; nobody can believe it. Stone crashes and burns, and Cardona slides out of the ring, deciding to watch the remainder from ringside. Marella is able to work his way to his feet, he looks at Cardona, who looks back at him, and Marella nods, realising what has happened.

With the referee recovering, Santino could probably just go for the pin. Instead, he heaves Stone up one more time… THE COBRA STRIKES!!!

SANTINO HOOKS THE LEG…

………………………..

THREE!!!

WINNER: SANTINO MARELLA VIA PINFALL at 9:02.

A MASSIVE pop echoes throughout the arena, because despite how awful this angle was (and yes, it’s over, yay), the fans love them some Santino. There’s a look of relief on his face as he has his hand raised in victory, knowing he’s retained his coveted role as Director Of Authority.

Suddenly, Santino is jumped on by Arianna Grace, who has made her way back out to celebrate with their dad. It’s a feel good moment for sure here, as they continue to celebrate, until they are approached by Matt Cardona.

Cardona and Marella have an interesting stare down, until Cardona shakes Marella’s hand. Cardona audible tells Marella, “I’LL SEE YOU IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS”, before exiting the ring, allowing father and daughter to have their celebratory moment…

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Trick Williams (c) defends against Elijah

Trick is full of confidence and arrogance, feeling on top of the world and seemingly not taking Elijah seriously. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring, Elijah looks as serious as ever, knowing this is the biggest match of his career. Considering the implications of the TNA Title coming home or not, it’s a big match feel as the two slowly circle each other. They finally lock up, and after jostling for position, we end up getting some real basic mat wrestling exchanges between the two.

This isn’t exactly Benoit vs. Angle level exchanges, but the two men try and out position each other. Trick begins to get on top, using leverage to ground Elijah and having tremendous success with a well applied Side Headlock. The champion smartly bridges his body to apply further pressure on the hold. Elijah struggles through it and finds a way to manoeuvre his body so he can kick Trick’s legs out from under him.

As both men immediately jump to their feet, Trick Willy looks to go to the well again with the Side Headlock. Unfortunately for him, Elijah now has it scouted and does well to keep his distance. Trick keeps going for it and Elijah is surprisingly nimble to avoid it, but as Elijah completes another sidestep… TRICK COMES OUT OF NOWHERE WITH AN ANKLE PICK TO TAKE ELIJAH DOWN!!!

TRICK LOCKS IN AN STF… BUT ELIJAH IMMEDIATELY MAKES THE ROPES!!!

The champion allows the clean break, leaping to his feet and dusting himself off, indicating that this is light work. There’s frustration written over the face of Elijah, but he maintains his composure and pulls himself back up. The two lock up again, but this time they remain standing. Now it’s Elijah’s turn to snap on a Side Headlock, but Trick pushes him off and into the ropes… ELIJAH TAKES TRICK DOWN WITH A RUNNING LEAPING SHOULDER BLOCK!!!

A big pop comes from the fans as Elijah has his first success for the match. The number one contender gets right back up, and runs at Trick, who’s now on his knees, Basement Dropkick to the face! Trick rolls to the floor, holding at his face, checking his teeth, which seem to all be there. As he staggers on the outside, Elijah surprisingly climbs up to the top rope… ELIJAH COMES OFF WITH AN AWKWARD LOOKING BODY SPLASH… BUT IT DOES THE JOB OF TAKING DOWN THE CHAMPION!!!

On commentary, they put over that Elijah never really performs high risk to the outside, showing just how desperate he is to pull out all the stops tonight. Not wasting anytime, Elijah gets back up, holding his ribs, before picking up the champ and rolling him back inside. To the champs credit, once Elijah has made it to the ring, he’s already back to his feet, so Elijah charges at Trick… HIGH KNEE FROM ELIJAH!!!

Williams falls to the canvas and Elijah is right back on him, dragging him back up. The challenger lands a few right hands, before sending Trick crashing into the corner. Elijah follows in and begins landing some hard knees to the mid-section of the champion. With Trick gasping for air, Elijah pulls him away from the turnbuckles and whilst maintaining his grip on Trick’s arm, jumps to the middle turnbuckle…

SUDDENLY TRICK EXPLODES AND GRABS ELIJAH, DRAGGING HIM OFF THE TURNBUCKLE… AND HITTING A MODIFIED TILT A WHIRL BACKBREAKER!!!

The fans can’t help but be impressed as Trick busts out something new. Instead of immediately capitalising, the champ performs a bicep flex, letting the crowd know just how strong he is. After muscling up Elijah to hit that, now Trick is in complete control. Whilst his arrogance is clear for all to see, it’s also clear to see why he’s the champ. Trick dominates now, strategically focusing on the head and neck of Elijah, which according to commentary will allow the Trick Shot to do more damage.

Eventually, Trick brings Elijah back up, nails a few punches to the face and whips Elijah into the ropes. When Elijah bounces back, Clothesline from Trick… No. Elijah ducks and stops on a dime, as Trick turns to face him, Elijah begins teeing off with some hard right hands of his own. Sensing trouble, Trick somehow pushes Elijah away and then bounces off the ropes himself… TRICK SHOT!!!

NO!!! ELIJAH SIDESTEPS TRICK…

AND THEN HOOKS TRICK WITH A BACKSLIDE…

TRICK MANAGES TO ESCAPE!!!

Both men scramble to their feet, running at each other, and Elijah runs through Trick with a Clothesline! The adrenaline momentarily wears off for Elijah though, and both men remain down after the collision. They both get to their feet at roughly the same time, but Elijah beats Trick to the punch, hammering away with right hands. He then sends Trick off the ropes and runs through him with another Clothesline!

Elijah follows it up with a second Clothesline, before sending Trick off the ropes again, Back Body Drop connects for Elijah! Building some momentum now, Elijah waits for Trick to get up and runs at him with a babyface running forearm! The blow dazes Trick, who remains down this time, allowing Elijah to step out onto the apron and climb to the top rope.

The singer remains perched on the top, looking relatively comfortable as he waits for the champ to get to his feet… ELIJAH LEAPS OFF THE TOP… FLYING DROPKICK CONNECTS!!!

TRICK GETS A SHOULDER UP!!!

Again, Elijah is pulling out all the stops here, but the champ survives. Running his hands through his hair, Elijah pushes himself up and again looks to bring Trick up with him. ELIJAH DODGES TRICK…

AND THEN TAKES HIS HEAD OFF WITH A DISCUS CLOTHESLINE!!!

TRICK SHOWS HIS RESILIENCE, ONCE AGAIN GETTING A SHOULDER UP!!!

Elijah confirms the count with the referee, in shock that didn’t finish things off. After pondering what’s next for a moment, Elijah opts to try ANOTHER high risk move, but this time, as he climbs to the top, Trick runs over and swipes at Elijah’s legs. This causes Elijah to lose his footing, and crotch himself on the top rope.

With a cocky smirk, Trick points to his head, indicating his intelligence, as the commentators wonder if Elijah went to the well one time to many. Trick nails a few right hands to Elijah, who’s stuck in a precarious position, before the champ steps out onto the apron. He grabs Elijah by the hair and drags him off of the top rope and down to the apron with him. Trick then hooks Elijah up… TRICK NAILS THE BOOK END ON THE RING APRON!!!

HOLY SHIT!!! That’s a big spot and Elijah face has agony written all over it. Elijah is barely moving, so Trick has to jump to the floor and use all his strength to push him underneath the bottom rope and back inside the ring. Once getting Elijah far enough from the ropes… TRICK GOES FOR THE PIN…

ELIJAH SHOWS INCREDIBLE RESILIENCE WITH A SHOULDER UP!!!

Trick slaps the mat in frustration after that, and loses his cool completely, rolling outside the ring. The champ grabs a steel chair, before sliding back in, ready to take Elijah’s head off. The referee intervenes, threatening to disqualify Trick, and after some debate, Trick gives the chair to the referee.

As the referee turns his back to dispose of the chair, Trick sprints to the corner and unties the top turnbuckle pad, exposing the steel buckle. Trick now stalks Elijah again, and when Elijah gets up… TRICK HOOKS HIM FOR ANOTHER BOOK END!!!

And after a night full of mainly happy endings, the atmosphere is deflated after the main event. Elijah tried as best as he could, and looked really good, but with some underhanded tactics, Trick retains the TNA Title and keeps it in the possession of NXT.

Williams smirks and is all cocky, celebrating with the title, despite the fact he had a tougher challenge than expected tonight.

Elijah rolls to the outside, looking absolutely heartbroken. Meanwhile, Trick Williams celebrates to boos from the crowd, AND STILL the TrickNA Champion…
