Voters believe President Trump is overreaching with his aggressive efforts to expand executive power, and they have deep doubts about some of the signature pieces of his agenda, a New York Times/Siena College poll found.

The turbulent early months of Mr. Trump’s administration are seen as “chaotic” and “scary” by majorities of voters — even many who approve of the job he is doing. Voters do not view him as understanding the problems in their daily lives and have soured on his leadership as he approaches his 100th day in office.

They asked 913 people. Fuck polls like that, they have no representative meaning.

In the wake of the receipt of a letter seeming to threaten the editorial independence of The New England Journal of Medicine, the NEJM’s editor-in-chief has responded to the Interim U.S. Attorney who had authored it.

On April 23, Stat News’s Anil Oza broke his report that “Last week, at least one scientific journal received a letter from a top U.S. attorney asking it to respond to alleged bias. Now, one of the world’s leading medical journals, has received a similar inquiry as well. The New England Journal of Medicine’s editor in chief, Eric Rubin [M.D., Ph.D.], received a letter from the interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, Edward R. Martin Jr. in recent days in which the prosecutor asked six questions, largely about alleged bias in the decision to publish unspecified content. The journal told STAT it responded by affirming its commitment to evidence-based recommendations and editorial independence.”

Oza quoted Dr. Rubin as writing to Martin that, “as practicing physicians, our editors recognize our responsibility to doctors and patients. We use rigorous peer review and editorial processes to ensure the objectivity and reliability of the research we publish. We support the independence of medical journals and their First Amendment rights to free expression. The Journal actively fosters scholarly scientific dialogue and remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting authors, readers, and patients.”

On April 25, the New York Times’s Teddy Rosenbluth followed up with a more extensive report, which included her quotes from Rubin. She wrote that “A federal prosecutor in Washington has contacted The New England Journal of Medicine, considered the world’s most prestigious medical journal, with questions that suggested without evidence that it was biased against certain views and influenced by external pressures. Dr. Eric Rubin, the editor in chief of N.E.J.M., described the letter as ‘vaguely threatening,’ Rosenbluth wrote, following an interview with the editor.

Trump's FBI is now arresting judges.

It's pure, unadulterated fascism. There is no longer any way to deny it. All of the Trump = Hitler comparisons are completely justified. The resistance libs have been vindicated.

All forms of resistance against this evil, fascistic regime are now justified. I don't want to hear any finger-wagging or false equivalencies when the inevitable violent resistance manifests itself. This country has been pushed beyond the brink. The Trump administration must be removed from power by any means necessary.
Liberals need to to arm up en masse imo

A federal judge is raising alarms that the Trump administration deported a two-year-old U.S. citizen to Honduras with “no meaningful process,” even as the child’s father was frantically petitioning the courts to keep her in the country.

U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, a Trump appointee, said the child — identified in court papers by the initials “V.M.L.” — appeared to have been released in Honduras earlier Friday, along with her Honduran-born mother and sister, who had been detained by immigration officials earlier in the week.

The judge on Friday scheduled a hearing for May 16, which he said was “in the interest of dispelling our strong suspicion that the Government just deported a U.S. citizen with no meaningful process.”

From her Wikipedia page (so don't forget to keep your grain of salts ready, just in case, but I thought it's interesting as an addendum)
Following her marriage to Robert in 2002, Giuffre lived in Glenning Valley on the Central Coast, New South Wales for 11 years.[118] The family relocated to the United States in November 2013 and stayed for several years, initially spending time in Florida,[118] and later in Colorado in 2015.[49] In 2019, it was reported that Giuffre lived in Cairns, Queensland, with her husband Robert and their three children: two sons and one daughter.[119] In 2020, she moved with her family to Ocean Reef in Perth, Western Australia.[1] It was reported that she and her husband separated in early 2025.[120]

Health issues and death

On March 31, 2025, Giuffre claimed that her car collided with a bus traveling at 70 mph (110 km/h), resulting in her going into renal failure. In an Instagram post that day, Giuffre said she had been given four days to live.[120] The Western Australia police later announced that they had records of a "minor crash" between a bus and a car on March 24, but that no injuries had been reported as a result.[120] Her family later said in a statement that a police report had been filed following the accident, and Giuffre, who was "banged up and bruised", was subsequently taken to hospital as her condition deteriorated.[121] At the same time, Giuffre was accused of breaching a family violence restraining order taken out by her estranged husband, with a court hearing set for April 9.[122] She later denied violating any such order and added that she would defend herself "against his malicious claim".[123]

According to her family, Giuffre died by suicide at her home in Neergabby, Western Australia, on April 25.[2][124] A 2019 tweet of hers resurfaced upon her death, where she stated that she "in no way, shape or form [was] suicidal".[125] As a result, some people questioned the fact she commited suicide and speculated that she had been killed due to the Epstein accusations.[126]

What a coincidence that she died of “suicide” and Epstein died of “suicide” under the same president
If Boeing can do it and get away with it, right? ...and it's even easier for governments.
