I’m gonna be honest, though I am going to side eye every single person that tries to use trump’s age against him because they would’ve all backed Biden if he didn’t step down, personally.

But yeah, Biden got it right and hit the nail on the head. Said exactly what needed to be said. It takes a lot of self reflection to realize you’re not the man for the job.
An additional thought as well, Trump's allies will try and deride Biden's term because (like Trump) it only went one term.

If Kamala does beat Trump in November, their arguments will fall flat because unlike Trump, Biden voluntarily gave up after 1 term.

The only other President who served one term and voluntarily gave it up was James Knox Polk.

good economies are generally a very good thing for the incumbent and bad for the challenger - people like the status quo when the money is flowing in

The democrats would still be incumbents, but yes it's a tiny bit more muddied due to Biden stepping down. The main point remains though that people in general don't vote for change unless the conditions are not currently good. Change is generally seen as too risky when things are going "relatively" well economically

Gov. Gavin Newsom will order California officials on Thursday to begin dismantling thousands of homeless encampments, according to officials in his administration, calling on government leaders to act on a recent Supreme Court decision “with urgency and dignity.”

The executive order, which is expected to affect tens of thousands of people, represents the nation’s most sweeping response to a June ruling that gave governments greater authority to remove homeless people from their streets.

Homeless encampments have vexed California, where housing costs are among the nation’s highest, more than any other state. An estimated 180,000 people were homeless last year in California, the most in the nation, and about 123,000 homeless people on any given night were unsheltered, according to the most recent count. Unlike New York City, most jurisdictions in California do not guarantee a right to housing.

Southwest Airlines is shifting to assigned seats for the first time in its history, a change that will allow the low-fare carrier to charge a premium for some of the seats on its planes.

The airline will also start offering overnight “red-eye” flights for the first time, which it said will improve the efficiency by increasing the use of its aircraft.

Southwest said customers were clamoring for these changes – when people switch to a competitor from Southwest, the company said the No. 1 reason the unhappy passengers cite is open seating. But the change will also help the company charge some passengers more for their tickets.

how do you dismantle homeless encampments without setting up a new place for them to go
You push them to another part of the country......it's what all cities do.

Been doing that since the 80s. As long as NIMBY is still a thing, you'll never solve the zombie hordes of homeless.
