I think people assuming Harris would have this in the bag is doing themselves a disservice.
Yea, I don't think anyone should just assume it's a done deal.

I hope Harris, if she ends up being the candidate in the end, doesn't engage with what the Media probably is going to push hard for the next 2-3 months, because if they reduce her to "just" being the "first female President" and maybe even going over Hillary's L over and over again, then it's probably gonna end up way, WAY closer than anyone thinks it's going to be.

I mean, I hope I'm completely wrong with this, but... if she doesn't shut that shit down in debates, speeches and interviews, then I don't know. If it ends up looking like that is the only thing she's campaigning on (not because she does, obviously, but because the Media makes it look like it), then that can backfire fast and badly.

I just think it’s too close to Election Day to bring on a new nominee and have to build her up to the voters and convince them to vote for her over Trump

Harris isn’t a new nominee and no building is needed. She was already on the ballot and she’s the incumbent VP. Anyone already planning to vote for Biden knows who she is and was also voting for her.

I also think y’all underestimate what this election is. This election is more about grabbing anti-Trump votes than it ever was this candidate is someone you should vote for.

If Harris loses this election, it’s only because Biden was already going to lose. There’s only upside here.

No one cares about the VP. I myself have no idea what her policy stances are. You gotta let the general public know what she stands for and her positions.

Sabs you also have to understand, they were people who just wasn’t gonna vote because they didn’t want to vote for either of these two. Those people could now likely vote and vote for whoever the Democrat Candidate is. Some just picked Trump because they thought he be better than Biden, some of those now might switch.

The only thing the general public cares about is this person not Trump and can they speak for 2 minutes without forgetting where they are.

Yes that is true. It should be an interesting election. That’s for sure.

Like Trump could still win, no doubt. But I don’t think it’s as much of a slam dunk as it was shaken up to be.

The real question is this: Do you believe that if Kamala Harris runs, that Trump will flip Minnesota, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Georgia, or Michigan?

I highly doubt Minnesota, Illinois, or Pennsylvania will flip if Kamala is running. Georgia, Michigan, and Arizona are the real question marks.

The thing I think people need to remember is 2020 had the record for the most votes for a presidential candidate in the history of the United States and that was mostly because Biden was able to grab every anti-Trump vote that was on the table. Whether that was Republicans that were switching over whether that was third-party, whether that was independent. Whether that was Democrats who normally would not vote.

This wasn’t because Joe Biden was the most popular person to ever run. The problem is is they brought in someone strictly to be anti-Trump and someone who in a prior administration as VP, but then they got four years of him and those same people were not going to vote Biden a second time just because he’s not Trump. However, they probably still would if it was any other democrat. And she’s also a former administration’s VP just like Biden was. All Harris has to do is not be completely incompetent in the next five months.

The DNC will have to pick the candidate but I hope they do something were they can get the opinions of the people. Some sort of vote. If they just pick Kamala, that would be bad
