Definitely. Hopefully the Principlists not gonna start trying to get themselves back to power with force immediately. It's at least a hopeful sign for sure, but I don't think it'll change anything monumental as long as Iran is still controlled by an Ayatollah.
Bobby that side of the labour party lost two elections in a row it's a broad church of the left centre left and centre right. Our health secretary is gay and he's a future leader . Keir starmer has changed the party inside and out , takes time .we've just won I didn't vote for Corbyn never have never would. We got rid of the anti Semitic members and at golders green the largest place to live for the jewish community the new MP said the party had changed. But I hear you I have no time for for losers who push that kind of hated towards trans community they will be weeded out and put to pasture . We have a zero tolerance for anybody who wishes to be a hater towards any community. Why we got rid of the biggest loser in our party Jeremy Corbyn and he came back as an independent MP unfortunately. Not very excited with Labour winning considering their leadership is just as anti-trans as Tory and Reform.

Reformist Candidate Wins Iran’s Presidential Election
Masoud Pezeshkian, a cardiac surgeon and relative moderate in the ruling establishment, defeated an ultraconservative former nuclear negotiator in a runoff.www.nytimes.com
In an election upset in Iran, the reformist candidate, Masoud Pezeshkian, who advocated for moderate policies at home and improved relations with the West, won the presidential runoff election, beating his hard-line rival, the Ministry of Interior said on Saturday morning.
Mr. Pezeshkian, 69, a cardiac surgeon, got 16.3 million votes to defeat the hard-line candidate, Saeed Jalili, delivering a blow to the conservative faction and a major victory for the reformist faction that had been sidelined from politics for the past few years. Mr. Jalili received 13.5 million votes.
He was a casino banker and his wife's an heiress. He wasn't even meant to be leader and the blame should be squarely at Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng. He was on TV yesterday and by every TV presenter asked are you sorry, do you take responsibility? Some he said. Some! The fiance of this country couldn't be more dire, eight million people waiting for NHS appointments, public sector in ruins, there's no easy solution but instead of either using public or private. Keir starmer and Rachel Reeves will use both and it's not going to be an overnight miracle. At least two terms with a renewed Centre left labour party will be a start.LOL @ people acting like the tory leader was just a rich asshole who got where he was when the former leader was just handed his position.
If he's running then it's going to be close. But this could one of those moments in history where a gamble on biden could work or backfire. Good luck Mr president.![]()
Biden says he’s best qualified to beat Trump, brushes off low polling and denies cognitive issues – as it happened
President says in occasionally tense ABC interview he is not dropping out and believes he’s the best candidate to winwww.theguardian.com
Joe Biden talked about his poor debate performance, saying: “Can’t say it’s my best performance but ever since then, there’s been a lot of speculation. What’s Joe going to do?”
“Here’s my answer. I am running and going to win again,” Biden said energetically.
“I’m a nominee … because millions of Democrats like you just voted for me in primaries all across America,” he added.
“Let me say this as clear as I can: I’m staying in the race to beat Donald Trump.”
