As a staunch gun rights advocate myself I’ve always said that I reserve the full range of rights for any legal citizen that can legally exercise their right. Meaning there should be no restrictions on what that legal possessor can do and what they can buy but you absolutely can enforce laws to keep guns out of the hands of people that shouldn’t be possessing firearms. And prosecute those that illegally acquire them. Because it’s not the guns that cause the problems. It’s the people that shouldn’t have them.

I have no legal biases so if Hunter committed a crime, he should get in trouble for it. If he didn’t, then he had a legal right to purchase those weapons all that being said it’s pretty wild to see how many people will defend anything that Hunter does on the Internet and then I’ll turn around and they’ll say the same thing about Trump supporters. I agree with the people in this thread people of both sides of the aisle should just do their time if they do the crime.
