Crazy even from a corrupt politician standpoint bc after Roe v Wade was overturned, Dems chances of winning midterms (an almost impossibility lately as sitting president's parties never win them) have swung considerably. They're still not likely to win the house according to fivethirtyeight.com but both it and the senate forecasts are improving towards democrats and most people are pointing towards abortion rhetoric being the reason. So crazy that they'd double down. Can't see it passing at all tho, article even says the little bitch was asked about Republicans who think it should be left up to the states bc I'm sure there's still plenty that don't realize they're being lied to about the concept of states rights yet and this would be an eye opener

I don't even care to look into it bit since it's clearly not passing it could be as simple as the Republicans in dum dum states vote for to show that they're sticking to their guns and appease their base, and the ones in swing states can vote against and say "no no we would never, we're not like THOSE guys" and both look better to their voters in some ways
