Honestly, I wouldn't be if it was for what family I have in Russia that still talk to me and they inform me about things over there and all, so. And not even from the Trump days, during Obama pipelines was a subject of heavy debate as well so

There's also a big debate here in Canada because we returned a Russian turbine of Nord Stream 1 to Germany as it wa sbeing repaired here. Ukraine is pissed, rightfully so, but we were put in a bullshit position where we can't really say no to Germany as it is not our turbine to keep and Germany are our allies. I think we made the right call with current international law and sanctions, but it still fucking stinks

indeed, though domestic pipelines were more about environmental impacts. The Nord 1 and 2 opposition comes from a place of giving Russia too much influence by being dependent on their cheaply priced gas. Was great while things went well but then you have them be able to shut down your entire heating with the flick of a switch. Looks like Germany might go back to Nuclear, which all things considered, might be a good thing a lot of countries might want to do safely

Yeah, i have heard about the Nord debate and how Russia can basically fuck anyone and everyone at a flip of a switch. Honestly, I support the usage of Nuclear Power

ya it might be our best option to regulate and figure out, at least mid term. Germany gonna suffer the winter for sure. UK will be fine they get their gas from Norway I think
