I’ve lived here for 36 years and have been involved in politics since I was in high school in 2000. I get how our parties work.

The only major political shift either party has really made in at least the last two decades is the democrats very slowly coming around on gay marriage and opposing immigration regulation while the GOP for more stringent on immigration.

Most of the other issues have been entrenched in the same sides for at least two decades.

None of that refutes anything ive said

Yeah, there are tons of parties here but they have to represent a certain number of voters and/or raise a certain amount of money to get on the national ticket.
