Like if Gay People aren't equal, then the 14th Amendment is a literal lie by stating that all US Citizens are equal under the law.
Marriage is a legal privilege, not a religious one as so many people think in the US. I can go to a courthouse and get a marriage application, and all the paperwork that comes with it. You have to do it regardless if it's done in a church too, in order to be recognized as married by the state and federal government.
Equal means just that: EQUAL.
It goes beyond just being ignorant. He's saying this shit to be purposely spiteful and hateful towards a group of people who have done him no personal injury or harm through generalizations and hiding behind a book like a fucking coward.
