I haven't been following that closely but it does seem like the louder and more extreme candidates are winning the primaries for both Republicans and democrats lol our country is truly fucked

I lost my grandpa and uncle to COVID last year and half my family still thinks the democrats made it up to get trump out of office. Were straight in denial that we even lost them bc of COVID....my uncle was 41 bro

Holy shit. So sorry to hear about your loss.

Also, that's nuts. I do believe the coverage was bigger when Democrats wanted to get Trump out, but that's insane to think it doesn't exist.

Yeah I had to excuse myself from a family gathering when my own uncle was talking about how bullshit the COVID hoax was not even a month after his brother (my uncle) died bc the hospitals were so overrun that they sent him home when he obviously needed to be on a ventilator. My grandpa had other complications that COVID mostly made worse but my uncle was healthy. My grandma had it at the same time as my uncle too and it literally wiped her memory for a few months, she has no recollection of having covid or of him dying. Finally opened my parents eyes when all that happened so I guess it was direct enough for them, but wasn't for some other family members.

You should really cut those kind of people out of your life, because you're better off just not recognizing them as family anymore. It's hard and a painful process, but if their denial of reality causes such distress, they aren't worth linking yourself to blood-wise.
