It still tries to be, recruiters always come to talk to the seniors every year, but I don't think they get anywhere near the numbers coming out of high school like they used to. They do make the perks of free college sound very nice tho

I was a sought after athlete in school......team sports suck and I was banned from wrestling because I broke a kids neck in 8th grade.

Nothing like getting your poorest kids to "fight for your country".....then forget about you after you served.

I tried to serve.....but apparently having a B&E on your record meant I wasn't good enough....even though I broke a push up record on my try out........still hurts.

I mean an army guy showed up a my local pizza place in high school and tried to recruit me which was mad sketchy. We also had army day at my school where soldiers put us through an obstacle course. I flat out told the guy in the pizza place I wasn't interested and he was like "fine live a mediocre life" and walked out angry. It was quite funny TBH.

There's no such thing as an Ivy League high school but my high school definitely combined rich and poor kids. Unfortunately the white kids were the rich ones and the Spanish kids were the poor ones. I'm white. He probably went to my high school when he was younger and came back to recruit. The pizza place he was in was too random to be a coincidence lol.
