What I need to do is play more online matches with people with the skill of guys in this league! But I don't have friends on xbox who play 2k17 apart from some of you forum guys! I need proper like training of sorts, I need good competition just to play against daily.

Dude, you can't plan a tag team out before you even have a partner. I can guarantee that that team would be over within a week. You need to find a partner, and then build the tag team around both of your gimmicks
