Mmm, I start on Monday and things are now super serial for me. I'm starting VCE as I'm in my second last year of high school, which means this now counts. It fucking sucks too.
At the end of last year, we had 'Orientation Week' to break us into Year 11. Basically, we were in Year 11 for a week and did all the work. We also got loaded up with homework. Most of it I've had no problem with as it was nice and quick. My chemistry homework really makes me regret doing it though.
Basically what happened was that I wanted to do unit 3 + 4 psychology. Which means I'd get a Year 12 subject knocked over in Year 11, adding to my overall score and thus allowing me to get into a course of my choice easier in uni. Problem is my student co-ordinators didn't agree with this choice. Instead, they told me I should do chem. Basically, I was forced to, because they said I could 'do better than psych'. Super duper. =/
Chem was the only unit I was interested in in science last year, but I still really don't wanna do it. My science grades last year were 7.5 and 6 over the two semesters (out of ten). My teacher never showed up and I never learnt anything in it last year. Now I have to do chem? Bleh.
Chem is a shitload of work too. Like I said, most of my homework was easy and quick. Chem was not. We had to basically do 100 questions, write up a full prac report and make ourselves a glossary (or whatever) of all the keywords from the questions we had done. Basically, fifty words.
I finally finished the hw yesterday (wewt), so now I have it easy up until school. So yeah, not looking forward to it.
ANyway, enough of my rambling. Anyone else entering Year 11 (I know Kiz is)? If so, what subjects are you doing? I've got:
Maths methods
General maths
Chemistry
English
Literature
Legal Studies
