AFC North excuse meNFC North?![]()
HOUSTON -- Four-time Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Houston Texans on Monday, sources told ESPN.
The signing is contingent on Chubb passing a physical.
The former Cleveland Browns running back would join a Texans rushing attack led by two-time Pro Bowl rusher Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce, Dare Ogunbowale, and fourth-round pick Woody Marks out of USC.
Chubb, a 2018 second-round pick out of Georgia, ranks third on the Browns' career rushing list (6,843) after spending the first seven years of his career in Cleveland.
Injuries derailed Chubb's tenure with the Browns. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 2 of the 2023 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, forcing him to miss the first six games of the 2024 season before he returned in Week 7 and scored a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.
But Chubb failed to regain his Pro Bowl form before his season ended prematurely because of a broken foot in Week 15.
In eight games, he ran for 332 yards and recorded career lows in yards per attempt (3.3) and percentage of carries that gained at least 10 yards (4.9%).
Houston hopes Chubb can recapture his pre-injury production and form a one-two combo with Mixon, who totaled 1,016 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns en route to earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2024.
Chubb's expected signing in Houston was first reported by NFL Network.
Officially 2 tornadoes (EF-U & EF-1) were confirmed from Tuesday in east Kansas City near Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs have two touchdowns before even preseason
The amount of no here is a lot.Two things that happen every year in the NFL that bug the hell out of me are one, players who are approaching the last year of their contract and are refusing to participate in mandatory practices because they don't have a new contract yet. If you're under contract you are obligated to show up unless you are sick or injured or have some other valid excuse. The other thing is how rookies who haven't played a single game in the NFL yet are holding out for more money. You should be grateful that you're in the NFL now and are going to get big money.
That's old and untrustworthy news. It was posted back on May 6 and there's no lawsuit.![]()
NFL Faces $100 Million Lawsuit Alleging Conspiracy Behind Shedeur Sanders' Draft Drop - TMSPN
Shedeur Sanders’ unexpected fall during the 2025 NFL Draft sent shockwaves through the football world — but for one fan, it was traumatic enough to take legal action. According to The Independent, a 55-year-old Georgia man has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the National Football League...tmspn.com
Okay, I hope this is satire because if its not...
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders' speeding citation for driving 101 mph this week wasn't the first time he was cited for speeding in Ohio this month.
According to a Medina [Ohio] Municipal Court record that was filed June 6, Sanders was pulled over by the Ohio State Patrol earlier this month. In that alleged violation, which took place June 5 in Brunswick Hills, Ohio, the Ohio State Patrol told WJW-TV that Sanders was stopped for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone.
According to the record, Sanders failed to appear for an arraignment for that citation on Monday and faces $269 in fines and court costs. He was then stopped by an officer for the Strongsville (Ohio) Police Department at 12:24 a.m. Tuesday morning for driving 41 mph over the posted 60 mph speed limit in a black Dodge TRX truck.
The Browns have addressed the citations with Sanders, according to Cleveland.com.
"He is taking care of the tickets," team spokesman Peter John-Baptiste told the media outlet.
For the most recent citation, Sanders must either pay a $250 fine for the fourth-degree misdemeanor or fight the ticket in Strongsville Mayor's Court on July 3. Sanders, 23, participated in the Browns' mandatory minicamp last week.
He remained in Cleveland along with other rookies for an orientation, according to Cleveland.com.
A projected first-round pick, he was selected by the Browns in the fifth round of the draft, two rounds after the team selected fellow rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Sanders is currently fourth on the team's depth chart behind Gabriel and veterans Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco.
