HOUSTON -- Four-time Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Houston Texans on Monday, sources told ESPN.

The signing is contingent on Chubb passing a physical.

The former Cleveland Browns running back would join a Texans rushing attack led by two-time Pro Bowl rusher Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce, Dare Ogunbowale, and fourth-round pick Woody Marks out of USC.

Chubb, a 2018 second-round pick out of Georgia, ranks third on the Browns' career rushing list (6,843) after spending the first seven years of his career in Cleveland.

Injuries derailed Chubb's tenure with the Browns. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 2 of the 2023 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, forcing him to miss the first six games of the 2024 season before he returned in Week 7 and scored a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.

But Chubb failed to regain his Pro Bowl form before his season ended prematurely because of a broken foot in Week 15.

In eight games, he ran for 332 yards and recorded career lows in yards per attempt (3.3) and percentage of carries that gained at least 10 yards (4.9%).

Houston hopes Chubb can recapture his pre-injury production and form a one-two combo with Mixon, who totaled 1,016 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns en route to earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2024.

Chubb's expected signing in Houston was first reported by NFL Network.

This was from Live Storm Chaser on Facebook:
Officially 2 tornadoes (EF-U & EF-1) were confirmed from Tuesday in east Kansas City near Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs have two touchdowns before even preseason

Two things that happen every year in the NFL that bug the hell out of me are one, players who are approaching the last year of their contract and are refusing to participate in mandatory practices because they don't have a new contract yet. If you're under contract you are obligated to show up unless you are sick or injured or have some other valid excuse. The other thing is how rookies who haven't played a single game in the NFL yet are holding out for more money. You should be grateful that you're in the NFL now and are going to get big money.

The amount of no here is a lot.

1. A player has every right to hold out. Until NFL teams honor the contracts that they give players, players have every right to hold out for a new deal. Sadly NFL teams can cut players and they don't owe players the balance of the contract that the player agreed to.

2. Shemar Stewart isn't asking for more money in his deal. That's not possible per the CBA as rookie deals are slotted based on where they're drafted (and somewhat by position). The Bengals are Bengaling this shit up so bad by haggling with someone who just wants what the CBA says he wants.

Okay, I hope this is satire because if its not...
That's old and untrustworthy news. It was posted back on May 6 and there's no lawsuit.
