I remember my dad checking the nascar site and seeing it on there, so we go and turn on ESPN and started watching it and saw the announcement. I think maybe then it might have been a replay idk.
Few days later, I remember sitting in the lunch room and see my dad walking into the office, as it’s easy to see from the lynch room. He came to pick me up because Atlanta Motor Speedway was doing something for Dale, like I think alot of tracks were. I came home, changed into my Earnhardt shirt and we went up to the track. I’m sad I never got to see him race in person, didn’t go to my first NASCAR race until like 2003, I didn’t even go to my first Cup Race til 2004. (and only so far) I got to see Dale Jr win at Talladega, so that was cool. But man do I wish I got to go to a race while Sr was alive.
