Austin Hill to Join Richard Childress Racing’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Stable in 2022 - Richard Childress Racing

RCR announced today that Austin Hill will join the organization’s NASCAR Xfinity Series stable in 2022. Hill will compete for RCR’s championship-winning Xfinity Series program on a fulltime basis, beginning with the 2022 season-opener at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 19.

When Austin Hill went to the 16 truck right after Brett Moffitt won the truck series Championship I was like "Who? Why hire him?" and then he won his first race in that seat at Daytona in 2019. What a time for Hattori Racing in 2018 and Daytona the next year. 8 wins in 3 years for Austin Hill. Sure proved me wrong.

The truck race is coming up soon.

I am thinking about how this season is nearly over. Martinsville this weekend and then Phoenix next. Sure, I knew that it was ending soon already but that means no more racing after next weekend. It's going to suck until February.

That finish was a mess. Happy for Zane Smith. At least he can win a race before Phoenix. Hopefully he, Rhodes and JHN have a strong race next weekend. Sucks that Creed isn't in the Championship 4.

I like Carson Hocevar. Hopefully if he is not in the same ride next year he is in a competitive ride. He has showed a lot of potential this year.
