The conference championship games will be as follows:
Friday
AAC: North Texas @ Tulane
C-USA: Kennesaw St @ Jacksonville St
Mountain West: UNLV @ Boise St
Sun Belt: Troy @ James Madison
Saturday
ACC: Duke vs. Virginia
Big 10: Ohio St vs. Indiana
Big 12: BYU vs. Texas Tech
MAC: Miami (OH) vs. Western Michigan
SEC: Some guys vs. Uhhh, you know.
I'd like to point out that Duke has a decent chance to beat Virginia (don't let that 17 point home loss in their previous matchup make you think this is unobtainable). The rules for the playoffs call for automatic bids for the top 5 ranked conference champions. I can see an 8-5 ACC champion being left out. We can count on the both teams in the SEC and Big 10 Championship Games getting in and the winner of the Big 12 seems like a lock. It seems reasonable that JMU and either North Texas or Tulane would be chosen over Duke. I don't see this happening to an 11 win Virginia team, but we could have a very interesting conversation next week about who's in and who's crying.
