I sent Erik Jones to the garage and inserted William Byron. Too bad that only 2 of my drivers finished in the top 10 though. Honestly, I am not liking this fantasy format thing. Many times I was getting the most points during the race and then it all went south in the 3rd stage. Then there are the times that I send the driver to the garage who is struggling through most of the race and then they end up finishing well while the driver that I replaced them with wrecked out within 5 laps in the third stage.
Was cool to hear from Carl Edwards. Dude is a natural in the booth. Even was slick when deflecting the discussions about him by talking about the race on the track. lol I really hope that he returns to do something in NASCAR regularly in the future. A few things that Carl said, like wanting to do sim testing to see what its like with the new cars, is only going to fuel the speculation on if Carl Edwards returns. I liked the suggestion that I read elsewhere of getting him in an SRX car. I am sure that he was already asked in the past.
Congrats to Byron. I did want to see Harvick win but he was close! Newman had a rough race but from what I heard in an interview it sounds like he will be back. He said that he wouldn't return if he wasn't having fun and he had fun in that race apparently.
Yea, I’ve had a lot of things crash and burn in stage 3, especially over the last 4-5 weeks. I guess that keeps it kinda true to life tho. Left Jones in this week, but Logano only outdid him by 7, and that was my garage guy.
Edwards being in SRX would be awesome for the series.
I’d love to see Newman get to finish the year out, if for no other reason than I like to see people in any sport go out on their own terms. Obviously, driving a bad car isn’t what he would really want, but after what he dealt with with injuries, it’s nice to see him back in any capacity.
