GODDAMN y'all see that Mookie contract?

Nothing says a "Franchise is Fucked Forever" quite like a $365 Million over 12 year contract for a 27-year old who won't put up those kinds of numbers much more than maybe 5.

I am happy, I get to actually watch the Braves play on Friday against the Mets, since the game is on ESPN.

Dish still not carrying the network here they play on so,, I will likely miss a lot of games, but I also can watch it on Facebook since its streamed in groups. Thankfully I got Facebook Watch on my TV. So, I guess I will likely so that when I can remember.

I love the fact that there are some folks trying to twist this into a "Normalization" of the situation when it couldn't be further from the truth.

I was watching some of the preseason games this week and I will say if they don't do this they should at least steal the stuffed animals in the crowd from the Korean baseball league bc it looked weird af seeing the stands behind home plate that empty

So today MLB has expanded to 16 games for the playoffs this year. I like it, I'm sure baseball historians are crying about it.

Very odd to do it this season but I guess you can sell it that bc the season is shortened it's more fair to allow more teams to make it. Either way, I'm fine with the move. I think it's a bit odd that more than half your league makes the playoffs (like the NBA) but a 16 team playoff is just ideal

I think 16 teams making it allows for some teams that could have made a few upsets to get in.
