The MLB commissioner revealed the 'Golden At-Bat' rule has been discussed at owners meetings.

“Most probably haven't heard of the proposal for a "Golden At-Bat," but the basic concept is that a team could choose one at-bat in every game to use its best hitter regardless of where they are in the lineup. So if, say the New York Yankees had the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth, they could bring Aaron Judge to the plate even if it wasn't his turn in the order. It would be a one-time replacement, not a substitution like a pinch hitter.”

I saw someone suggest it should be like a full on golden bat in a glass case that the manager literally has to break to use it.

Just imagine the wrestling-like reactions from the crowd as on the big screen you see the manager in the dugout teasing breaking the case, inching closer to get the crowd going, all while an at-bat is happening lol

Get your paper man I liked him with the Brewers but you go to a Team that only won 80 Games and seemly aren't going to be going for the Division when the Dodgers, Padres, and DBacks are leagues better than your Team.

Wow! What an interesting read about Brian Snitker. He's born to be a manager and I'm thankful that he's our manager with the Braves keeping ties with him over the years.

Get your paper man I liked him with the Brewers but you go to a Team that only won 80 Games and seemly aren't going to be going for the Division when the Dodgers, Padres, and DBacks are leagues better than your Team.

I agree. Though he's getting paid big money, he's going backwards in terms of playing for a team that has made only one playoff between 2017 and 2024. And yes, the division the Giants are playing in is a tough one with the teams you've mentioned. It's gonna take a lot more talented players for the Giants to be a legit team and compete in their division.

My hope is that he goes to the Yankees (as a Yankees fan), but I can't shake the feeling he'll go to the Mets.

For some reason I can't see him not staying on with the Yankees if not stay outta the East unless the relationship Soto has with Harper and Turner is so strong for him to come to my Phillies which is possible money wise.
