Just saw the movie. Really loved it. Great story, acting and fight scenes. Cinematography really brought it home though. Just a beautiful film to look at. Highly recommend.

I have read the same opinion about the movie everywhere, but they also say the story is shit.

I have read the same opinion about the movie everywhere, but they also say the story is shit.

I mean not really. The story was a revenge story. Nothing wrong with it at all. There’s actually a twist in the middle I didn’t see coming. It gets a little campy at parts and over the top but that’s only a few scenes. Most of it is great.

Very unsurprising plot but the rest was top notch : intense acting, solid directing and beautiful photography. Also that score was

I watched this last night and I thought it was awesome. I love a good revenge story driven film and this delivers that so well. I thought the acting was great, especially Willem Dafoe even if he was in a minor role he still managed to be batshit insane, and Alexander Skarsgård killed it as the lead too. Anya Taylor Joy and Nicole Kidman were also great in their roles.

This movie confirms that vikings are weird, but they’re also pretty badass.
