Yeah but for a while in the beginning of his tweener/face turn he was cheered in America and BOO'd EVERYWHERE ELSE. "What worked in Milan didnt work the next night in Houston TX" according to Bret, so it started in the US, and much like with other trends from America, everyone else followed suit.

He wasn't getting booed everywhere else it had depended on who he was booked against.

Also, why was he cheered in America first? Because the WWE is an American company. They do 80% of their shows in America so that arguement is invalid.

The argument is very valid because one of the top wrestlers of all time said that the fans in America wanted to be heels. They wanted to play a role. They wanted to be a bad guy. THat didnt happen in Japan, Canada, Germany, or England until it happened in the US first. You are making it sound like just because the WWE does most of its business stateside, that the fans in other countries dont get a chance to have a voice when it comes to this. But they do. The WWE was touring the WORLD at that point, when the "bad" guys started to get over. They were BAD GUYS in Germany, and good guys in America.
