Welcome to the 40th edition of the No Smark Zone. No smarks allowed here. If you believe everything that has ever been done wrong in pro wrestling is the fault of HHH and Vince McMahon, get the fuck out. If you think ROH is only better than the WWE because they are underground and “give the REAL fans of wrestling what they want†get the fuck out. And if you think John Cena only has 5 moves, you’re not alone, but you’re still a moron so get the fuck out! Ok, all of “those people†:shifty: gone? It’s time for a knock down drag out in the NSZ. It’s a battle for the NSZ Be The Booker Title. This week its myself, you’re friendly IWF Smark Hunter vs. The mod of mods, the soon to be coke snorting monster, the man of the hour with all the power (of Satan) RAANNNNNNNNNNY ORTOONNNNNNS BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONER!

Here are the rules, scenarios are to be kept under 500 words and are to obey the “logic†(if you can call it that) of pro wrestling. Here is the scenario

“TNA has pulled off a major coup and have retained the services of Randy Orton. Book the debut of the Legend Killer in TNA over a 2 week or so period.â€

Fairly simple eh? Lets see how we did. First up, ROB

Randy Orton’s Boner’s BTB

Pre-preamble:

Fair warning that due to word limits, I am going to be keeping everything as brief as possible.

Preamble:

Samoa Joe suffers a broken arm, and is forced to relinquish the TNA Heavyweight title. An eight man tournament is created for the Victory Road PPV where the winner of said tournament will be crowned as the new Heavyweight champion.

Victory Road:

Round One matchups:

Booker T vs Eric Young

A short match through out which Booker is mostly dominant. Eric Young makes a brief comeback with a flurry of punches and a missile drop kick, but Booker eventually avoids the high crossbody, takes over and eventually wins with the Book End.

Robert Roode vs AJ Styles

Before the match AJ is attacked by Kurt Angle. Angle works over AJ's back, and drags him out to the ring for his match with Roode. Roode immediately goes on the offensive further working over AJ's back with a series of backbreakers, suplexes, and stretches. AJ makes a brief comeback with an out of nowehere Pele kick, but is eventually tripped up on the ropes by Peyton Banks. Roode clobbers AJ from behind, hits him with the Fisherman's Suplex, and gets the three.

Kaz vs Kurt Angle

Great fast paced match that sees Kaz match up evenly with Angle. Kaz is able to find counters to almost everything Angle does, and scores many near falls. Eventually Angle is able to apply the Ankle Lock, however Kaz reaches the ropes. Angle refuses to let go of the hold, and is disqualified by the referee.

Sting vs James Storm

Storm attempts to meet Sting in the aisle, but Sting counters with an eye poke, and takes the match to the ring. Sting holds on to control of the match until Storm hits Sting with a kick to the testicles behind the referee's back, and Storm begins working over Sting's knee. Storm eventually tries to put Sting in the Scorpion Deathlock, but Sting counters and pushes Storm into the turnbuckle. Sting dashes and hits Storm with a Stinger splash, followed by a boot to the stomach, and a Stinger Deathdrop for the three count.

Round Two matchups:

Booker T vs Robert Roode

Match up ends when Peyton Banks attacks Sharmell. Booker attempts to aid Sharmell, but ends up getting clocked in the back of the head by a pair of brass knuckles produced from Roode's tights. The action is not seen by the referee. Roode rolls Booker into the ring and gets and easy three count.

Sting vs Kaz

Great back and forth match that sees Sting winning with the Scorpion Deathlock after again, many near falls by Kaz. At the end of the match Sting and Kaz shake hands in a show fo sportsmanship.

Tournament Finals:

Robert Roode vs Sting

Roode goes after the knee that James Storm worked on from the outset. Roode eventually gets Sting into the middle of the ring with a figure four leglock. Sting reverses it and Roode makes it to the ropes forcing Sting to let go. Roode immediately goes back on the offensive, attacking Sting's knee. Roode goes to apply a single leg crab, but Sting slips through, rolls Roode up and barely ekes out a three count making Sting the new TNA champion.

Sting celebrates is the middle of the ring, and calls for a microphone.

"When I went into this tournament, I didn't think I had a very good shot at winning. I thought I was heading towards the end of my career, and this was just going to prove that to me. But standing here right now, I know that I'm still fit to come out here and give you people the best I have. So watch out folks, its show..."

At this juncture, Randy Orton has jumped out of the crowd, grabbed a steel chair and smashed it against Sting's knee sending him to the mat. Orton continues his vicious assault with the chair until Sting is in total agony. Orton then grabs the microphone that was dropped by Sting during the attack.

"So that's Randy Orton one, TNA legends zero. And let me tell you something Sting. We're not through yet. You see, I just signed a contract to wrestle in TNA, but I told them that the only way I would sign is if they gave me the right to a title shot whenever I wanted. Now I know what you're thinking Sting, but I'm not that much of a dick. (Orton again slams Sting's knee with a chair) I'll be taking my title shot this Thursday night on Impact. I'll see you there."

Orton then drops the mic and starts walking out of the ring. He stops briefly turns back, and smashed Sting's knee, one more time, drops the chair and exits to the back to a chorus of boos.

Impact:

Sting is shown talking with Jim Cornette. His knee has been wrapped and he is on crutches. Cornette tells Sting that he's sorry, but he'll have to face Orton, or forfeit the title. Cornette suggests that Sting might be better off forfeiting and then coming back to fight another day. Sting refuses and says he won't quit, he'll be out there in the ring.

TNA World Title match
Sting vs Randy Orton

Sting hobbles down to ringside, and is chop blocked from behind by Orton who snuck out of the tunnel right behind Sting. Orton throws Sting into the ring, and hits him with an Orton Stomp. Taking a few extra moments at Sting's knee. Orton looks out to the crowd and says "This is for an old friend." and smirks before putting Sting in an indian deathlock in the middle of the ring. Sting tries to make it to the ropes but can't hold on and taps out making Randy Orton the new TNA Heavyweight champion.

Orton is not content though with just winning. He refuses to break the hold after the bell, and wrenches on Sting's knee until they are pried apart by officials. Orton stands over Sting with the belt to end the show.

Impact:

Cornette opens the show by saying that Sting will be out of action for the next 8 weeks. But warns Randy Orton to watch his back because there are alot of TNA superstars very angry at him right now. Therefore he gives Orton the night off and tells him to go home.

Orton is shown leaving the building when he runs into Kevin Nash. Nash comments that Orton went over the line. Orton tells Nash he's not one to talk. Nash tells him that he was fine with what he did up until after the match. After he had him beat there was no need for that. Orton calls him a hyopcrite and spits in Nash's face. Nash runs after Orton but Orton books it into his awaiting limousine and leaves the arena.

Impact:

Jim Cornette announces that the main event of Hard Justice will be Randy Orton vs Kevin Nash for the TNA title.

Hard Justice:

TNA Heavyweight Title match:

Randy Orton vs Kevin Nash

Nash is allover Orton from the beginning of the match. Orton is eventually able to gain control with tumb to the eye behind the officials back. Orton stays in control by slowing the paceof the match way down and taking Nash to the ground. Orton goes for the RKO but finds it blocked and catches a bigg boot to the stomach, doubling him over. Nash goes for the lazy bomb, but Orton counters into and RKO for the ensuing pinfall.

Impact:

Orton is shown standing in the middle of the ring saying that nobody can step up to him here, just like nobody could over there. AJ Styles music plays and he makes his way to the ring applauding Randy Orton. Styles says that its very impressive the way he beat up those two legends, but he's curious to see how the franchise player would match up against the Legend Slayer (TNA'd). Orton laugh is Styles' face and tells him that he wouldn't last a day in the other place, so he has no business asking Randy Orton for a title match. AJ reaches into his pants and pulls out a contract that states he will face Orton at No Surrender in a ladder match for the title.

No Surrender:

TNA Heavyweight title match
Randy Orton vs AJ Styles
Ladder match

Orton does his best to keep this match on the ground however finds himself stymied by AJ's high flying offense and use of the ladder. AJ eventually makes a mistake by going for a spiral tap on Orton thorough a table he had set him up on. Orton moved and AJ crashes and burns. Orton follows up by picking AJ up and giving him an RKO on a steel chair and then easily climbing the ladder to retrieve the title and win the match.

Orton is standing on top of the ladder when Sting's music hits and Sting slides out from under the ring and pushes the ladder over with Orton still on top sending him crashing hard to the floor. Sting picks up the fallen World title and indicated to Randy that its going to be his again.

Impact:

Randy Orton comes out to start the show and talks about how he isn't afraid of Sting. He beat him once and he can do it again! Jim Cornette makes his way to the ring and informs Randy that at Bound for Glory, it will be Randy Orton vs Sting in a title vs career match. If Sting loses he will not ever wrestle again. Orton likes the sounds of that and says he's looking forward to it. Sting then jumps out of the crowd and wails on Orton chasing him to the back.
Impact:

Jim Cornette states that he is forcing Sting and Orton to go home for the next two weeks until the PPV. If they can't keep their hands off each other they'll just have to stay home.

Bound for Glory

TNA Heavyweight Title match
Randy Orton vs Sting
Title vs Career

Sting starts off hot as the two men brawl outside the ring. The referee is clearly just letting them go as he won't have any control over the match even if he tried. Chairs are swung, ring steps are thrown, and blood flows as the match momentum swings back and forth between the combatants. Sting hits Orton in the head with a chair sending him slumping into the turnbuckles. Sting charges and goes for a Stinger Splash, but Orton moves out of the way at the last second and Sting's head hits the ring post. Sting dazedly turns around into an RKO, and Orton gets the three count to retain the title and end Sting's career.

Phew, THAT was a lot, but it was damn good, IMO. There were some things I had issues with, but I’m no judge. Anyway, its time for mine!!!

Kaedon’s BTB

Week 1
A video plays of a news host looking guy talking to a guest who is cloaked in the dark about Christian Cage. A crawl at the bottom says things like “Christian Cage found at Satanic Cult Mass†and other slanderous things. The man in shadow says he used to know Christian back in the day, when he was in the WWE, and he was an egomaniac. He says Christian was always ganging up on people with his buddies in the back on new wrestlers and he was the biggest ass kisser in the WWE.

Week 2
Another video is shown, this time Christian is shown talking to Samoa Joe and a graphic saying “Christian Cage, he keeps his friends close, and his enemies closer.â€

Week 3
Samoa Joe is attacked in the back with no one seeing what happened.

Later Joe comes out demanding answers. He calls out Christian and accuses him. Cage says he had nothing to do with it. Joe calms down and apologizes, but then drills CC. He says next time, Cage wont be able to get up.

Week 4
Another “RNN†video is shown of Joe attack in the back from the POV of the attacker.

Later, Kaz (Joes original opponent @ the PPV) is taken out in the back

Cornette needs a new person for the main event. He appoints CC to be the man. Joe accuses Christian of trying to backstab his way to the TNA title. CC says that’s not how it is, but he WILL take this opportunity to fight Joe and win the TNA Title.

PPV
During the match, after a ref bump and Joe going down, the lights go out. When they come back on, Randy Orton is behind CC and RKO’s him. Joe wins.

Week 6
Orton starts the show talking about how he totally played Joe and Cage for chumps. He then mentions that since he was taught by the best, like HHH, he can outsmart anyone. Cornette comes out and says he is heading off Cage and Joe who are ready to take Orton apart. Orton says he’s done with Christian but he wants a piece of the fat boy. Cornette says he doenst hand out title matches, hell Orton hasn’t had a match in TNA yet. But since Orton thinks he’s so smart, lets see him smart himself out of his first ever Gauntlet Match tonight. Whoever wins that will become the number one contender.
Orton beats Kaz, AJ, Tomko, Morgan, and Steiner. When he gets to CC, however the two get DQ’d.

Week 7
Cage vs. Orton in a cage. Orton RKOs CC for the win.

Week 8
Orton/Angle vs. Joe/Cage. Cage/Joe win. Joe leaves, Orton/Angle beat down CC. Joe goes back but heels on CC. He and Orton shake hands!

PPV
Cornette says he’s disgusted by Joe and Orton and says he smells a rat so he makes the ME a triple threat instead of 1-1. Joe pins Cage ftw.

Roxxi’s BRB Review/Rating

Kaedon
Problems:
-Randy would never call Triple H ‘one of the best’ or anything even similar to that unless he was a face. (-10% for unrealism)
-Joe would never ally with Angle or help anyone helping Angle in beating down someone. Angle could be beating down Hitler's zombie and Joe would still go against him. (-10% for unrealism)
Final: 80/100

Randy Orton's Enormous Erection
Problems:
AJ just pulling a contact from his pants is a bit too random. If you want to pull the contract card, explain how the contract came to be. (-5% for slightly questionable plot)
Cornette wouldn’t put Sting’s career on the line unless Sting annoyed him first. That’s how Cornette works. He books to screw people who annoy him. If Sting’s career is to be ended in THIS match, it should be with a running punt to the head, among other, 'RVD's last match against Orton' type things, rather than a random match stipulation. (-10% for unrealism)
Yours is a dark, desolate world of spelling errors. (-0%, i'm just an ass. ^_^)
Final: 80/100 (85 -5 for going over)

PeepShow’s Review/Rating

Kaedon's BTB
I really enjoyed this. The only 2 things I have complaints about are the fact that the 'Satanic' stuff at the beginning pretty much made no sense, as it didn't carry on into the storyline at all. The promo itself bashing Christian as an asskisser and such was good, but the satanic stuff was really needed at all. Also, the Joe win at the end in the 3 way pretty much came out of nowhere. I was expecting to see Christian win, or at least Orton. I mean, Christian was pretty much made to be a bitch the whole time cept for the fact he won a tag match with Joe later on.

There were some good points and some low points. I personally liked your last one better.

75/100

Randy Orton’s Boner’s BTB
This all followed suit and was nicely laid out. The preamble was a nice way to start things off and get a fresh start to the BTB as was the tourney. Some surprising winners in the first round if you ask me. The way Orton was brought in was a bit random also, kind of like Kaedon’s, but meh. The whole flow of the storyline seemed simple, yet logical at the same time. Not as complex as Kaedon’s seemed at times. Kaedon’s story was just too random in spots and didn’t make much sense, as to where yours was not. It wasn’t as complex and intriguing, but that isn’t always a good thing. Nice job

75/100 (80 -5 for going over)

Soulpower’s Review/Score

Kaedon’s BTB scores…..
Impressive 95/100
First, the things I liked.

Orton is treated as a big deal (Even if I don't like him, he IS a big deal in the rasslin business) and is inserted instantly into a feud with the champ and another top talent in Cage. The build was a bit basic (with Joe not trusting Cage) but considering their battles in the past, it made sense for Joe to be suspicious of Christian... Even more so when Cage ends up challenging Joe for the title.

The Gauntlet made sense because... Its TNA >_> Its something one would expect to see and from a kayfabe standpoint it makes sense because Orton has been running his mouth and screwing people left and right without getting a much deserved ass kicking.

I didn't like the Orton/Joe alliance because I would expect Orton to want to go after the TNA title right off the bat.

I can't take more than 5 away from the score because there's no way to know how everything would have turned out... Orton could have ended up turning on Joe anyways and winning the strap.

Still, all in all a good BTB which actually left me wanting more and that's something I look for in a BTB. Great Job.

Randy Orton’s Boner’s BTB scores….

89/100... Just slightly less than Kaedon's. (94 -5 for going over)

First, what I liked. I liked how Orton went back to his roots, being the Legend Killer. He started by taking out Sting, then he beat Nash, then he beat Styles (Who could be considered a "TNA legend"). I also enjoyed the fact that even though he took Sting out when he made his debut, Randy didn't lose the title vs career match. He won, added another notch to his belt and retained the TNA title.

Now for the one thing that bothered me... Randy Orton being the TNA Champion. Now I have no problem with him winning the strap, but I did have a problem with him winning it so soon. I understand that Sting wasn't at full health. But once again we have ourselves a former WWE wrestler finding success in TNA in a matter of weeks.

Other than that, it was a good read... And much better than what TNA would probably do in this situation.

Final Scores- Kaedon: 220
Rand Orton's Boner: 209

It looks like I win because ROB didn’t feel like obeying the rules. I toldya this was gonna happen homie! And that’s it for this NSZ because I’m sure of you are all fucking sick of reading, I’m surprised you all lasted this long. Anyone who wants to take on me for the NSZ YBTB title, send me a PM. Thanks for reading. I would do predictions for ONS, but I don’t really care as I have a wedding to go to and it’s a thrown together PPV anyway, so enjoy your spots, I’m gonna be getting drunk! Don’t forget to read SP’s Raw and ECW Reviews and, of course, my review of the best show on TV, SD! See ya next time!

Not that it would have mattered, but you never gave me the word length exceptions.

Good job to both though. If you're so interested in this stuff and enjoying typing a lot of stuff like this, why don't you just make a BTB?

Because regular BTBs are boring. Writing matches isnt interesting, and they are even more boring to read.

Who said you had to follow suit? Do what you want. There's no rules saying you have to write matches, or lengthy ones at that.

i guess that is true. However I have a hard enough time reviewing shows and doing this to do a regular BTB. I just like to write when it strikes me.

The end result of this storyline which would've been played out after the Sting feud was over would've been a Jeff Jarrett (another legend of sorts) return as a babyface taking on Randy Orton and eventually winning the title.

"Jeff Jarrett" and "legend" do not belong in the same sentence, unless its on either side of "is in no way a"

hey, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just thinking from the TNA perspective.
