Even though there's not a lot of details out there, what next generation system are you most excited for/most likely to buy.

PS4
XBOX 720
Wii U

For me I will without a doubt pick up a PS4, been my system of choice for quite some time, and they've got a hand full of first part games that I have to play. Wii U I'm iffy on, I've owned ever Nintendo home console, but with the Wii I just didn't get a lot out of it. Of course there's always going to be the classics getting updated like Mario and Zelda, but after that there's not much meat on the bones. If Nintendo can go back to getting good 3rd party games that can match what Sony and Microsoft have, they'll get my money.

Wonder how much they'll charge for the PS4. over priced like the playstation 3 will only lead to failure yet again..

PS4 easily. Wii would always be my last add, though it would be the cheapest

I think Sony has learned alot from this generation and knows what they need to do to overtake Microsoft in the next generation.

I think if Sony releases at the same time as Microsoft they will win, but also think that having the free online, is one of the key factors that makes the PS3 a more desirable console.

Lifetime System Sales @ the end of 2011
Wii: 84.6 million
360: 50.9 million
PS3: 47.9 million

See PS4 taking over Microsoft in the next gen, don't know if Nintendo will stay on top, but they entrenched themselves in the family market, so they may hold there place, just think they alienated a lot of the new generation of gamers.

I will say PS4 as Sony is the only console that i have played in some time unless you count retro systems. I have heard very little about what the PS4 may have to offer but i imagine it will be able to more then its previous version the PS3. Sony should keep an eye on Microsoft and see when their next console will be released and put it out around the same time. Based on those number listed above i would imagine the gap would be much closer between the two if their wasn't a full year between release dates.

Wii U is going to suffer a lot in this race. It is pretty much trying to catch up to where the PS3 and 360 are. the 720 looks like it is going to be insane though. Going to be the must get system. I know for me I got the 360 first, then wii, then ps3. I like the retro games so I always get a nintendo. I was hooked on the 360 for a while but... the ps3 has stolen me and I'm completely hooked on it. So more than likely I'll be a PS4 kinda guy.

Those numbers are actually quite remarkable in PS3's favor considering they really didn't sell worth a damn the first two years the console was out because XBox had all the games and PS3 was ridiculously expensive. Sony has been kicking serious ass the past couple years though. They need to ride that momentum.

But frankly, I'm still content with the current generation. I was actually surprised they were already developing the next console generation. The math is right, about 7 years per cycle. But I really thought this generation was going to set a record.

Xbox 720, always have prefered Xbox over Playstation anyways.
