There’s been some original movies this year like Everything Everywhere All at Once (my favorite movie of the year).

As for this Little Mermaid remake, I’m interested in checking it out. Little Mermaid is one of my favorite animated Disney movies.

Sometimes man you just gotta take it and let them as I said bury themselves. If he goes on the attack and acts like he is, and everything and you ignore him, then it looks worse on him and then well its easier to deal with him and what to do. But if you keep also playing along, egging him on and everything, then it’s more a slippery slope. Basically debate with him, but once he starts getting out of him and going on the attack, bow out because it’s not worth it.

Deezy of course you’re allowed to dislike all the films but it’s the way you said it that’s making everyone question it. It sounds like you think they’re bad simply because they’re remakes not because they’re bad movies. Like the fact that it’s a remake is automatically going to make it bad which is kind of silly. Maybe this isn’t what you meant but that’s how it comes across. The fact that you don’t like ANY Disney remake makes it seem like you’re just trying to hate them which a dumb way to look at movies but maybe you actually do think they’re all bad which is fine.

I agree with Deezy in one aspect that anything in a long-standing IP is kind of in the same vein as a remake but that being said there are plenty of original movies that come out. Why don’t you go see that new movie from Olivia Wilde that caused so much controversy because she fired Even Stevens.

I mean that’s just not true. “Remake” doesn’t mean the same. Like yes the story is the same but they can add shit to make it unique. In the Aladdin remake, they gave princess Jasmine her own song, they gave Aladdin and Jasmine more of a backstory, and they gave Jasmine’s father more to do than just being a loopy father. In the Beauty and the Beast remake, they gave Belle a lot more backstory on her mother and again… gave the father more to do. It’s not like these movies were literally just shot for shot remakes with not a single piece of new footage or whatever to make them unique. Fucking A

I don’t know. I mean with Dragon Ball where the anime stopped for awhile, they been pumping out games and doing different things. Anime came back after two movies many years ago, and have came out with two movies since the anime ended(actually was paused as it’s coming back) idk if I could actually put that in the sane vein as a remake.

Now stuff like the new Married with Children animated series supposedly coming, yeah I can say that’s for nostalgia. But Dragon Ball has been back for a minute. The first couple movies I’ll give as nostalgia. The recent ones, uh nah. Can’t do it
