Jim Cornette had a really good eye for spotting future superstars. Hell, he found Candido, Sunny, Lance Storm, and Y2J. Lets not forget that he was in charge of OVW during the time Batista, Cena, Orton, Benjamin, AND Lesnar all went through.
Dude slapped Santino and told Brock he would shoot him. Cornette has more balls than a lot of us do.
He slapped Santino because he was power high and Santino wasn’t gonna hit the head booker.
When Santino confronted Cornette outside, he cried for the cops, let’s not forget:
Let’s not forget he’s too afraid to debate Russo even when money goes to charity, due to fear of being exposed, and wants to meet Russo with a gun with no one around.
Just because he had a great roster to work with in the WWF & OVW doesn’t mean he signed them(hint he didn’t sign them)
And they didn’t get over the way he booked them, they got over in WWE under other writers.
Case in point why Cornette is the biggest failure in wrestling writing:
He has Rock and Austin on his roster, not only didn’t he draw with them, he almost killed their careers with ridiculous stories and characters until Russo came on board and made Rocky Maivia... The Rock and gave Stone Cold good material.
He’a a hack who got rightfully replaced by a better writer, the best wrestling writer of all time, Vince Russo. And now makes a living off Vince Russo
