The historic first-ever 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match

It’s a contest 30 years in the making. The historic Greatest Royal Rumble will feature the first-ever 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match, the crown jewel of a signature event taking place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27.

In an epic free-for-all that will redefine the very notion of ring reinforcement, 50 WWE Superstars will battle for squared-circle immortality. A grand tradition dating back to 1988, the Royal Rumble Match begins with two participants, with a new Superstar throwing himself into the mix after a predetermined time interval has passed. Additional competitors will continue to emerge until number 50 has officially entered the bout. Elimination can happen at any time during the contest and can only take place when a Superstar has been thrown over the top rope and both of his feet hit the floor. The last Superstar left in the ring will be declared the victor.

First five WWE Superstars officially enter the Greatest Royal Rumble Match

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA and STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE Superstars Daniel Bryan, Kane, Big Show, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt are the first of 50 Superstars to officially enter the Greatest Royal Rumble Match, which will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday, April 27, at 7 p.m. AST. Tickets for this historic event will be available on Friday, April 13. The Greatest Royal Rumble will stream live on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East with regional broadcast information forthcoming.

In addition to the first-ever, 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match, the event will feature John Cena vs. Triple H as well as seven championship matches, including an Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor vs. The Miz vs. Samoa Joe. A Ladder Match is when a championship title is suspended above the ring, and the first Superstar to climb to the top of a ladder and retrieve the title is the winner and champion.

General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia Chairman, His Excellency Turki Al Sheikh, WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia invite the world to celebrate this signature event. The inaugural Greatest Royal Rumble will deliver live, family-friendly entertainment to passionate fans across the Middle East. It is the first event as part of a long-term partnership between WWE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

WWE adds 15 more Superstars to Greatest Royal Rumble Match

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA and STAMFORD, Conn. — Fifteen WWE Superstars, including Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Baron Corbin, four-time Tag Team Champions The New Day, and three-time World Heavyweight Champion and 9-time Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho, have officially entered the first-ever 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match, which will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27, at 7 p.m. AST.

The Greatest Royal Rumble will stream live on WWE Network Friday, April 27, with a tune-in time of 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT, with a special, one-hour Greatest Royal Rumble Kickoff starting at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT. It will also be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East with regional broadcast information forthcoming.

WWE Superstars Apollo, Shelton Benjamin, Sin Cara, Elias, Chad Gable, Goldust, Titus O’Neil, Mojo Rawley and Dolph Ziggler have also declared for the first-ever Greatest Royal Rumble Match. Additionally, the historic event includes John Cena vs. Triple H, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns in a Universal Championship Steel Cage Match and six other championship matches.

I saw somewhere it's basically just the Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal and they will just get a trophy.
