I will say one of the most over tag team champion tandems was Booker T and Goldust. They had sooooo much heat. The fans were eating out of their hands! Remember all those comedy segments?

"The Goldust Croc Hunter"
"Booker T and Goldust at the Movies"
"Wigger/thug" Goldust and Booker T at 7/11"
"Booker T and "Benjamin Franklin" Goldust in Philadelphia"

Sure, they didn't last long, but their championship was as a result of the booker and WWE creative listening to what the fans wanted.

This isn't in order: Beer Money Inc. Harlem Heat, Deuce N domino. ( I know Deuce N Domino were kinda jobbers throughout there time but I like the idea of a 50s greaser team.)

Beer Money? They've been around for about a year, Deuce N Domino were jobbers.

I see a lot of factions/stables in here, which isn't what the thread maker is asking for.

No particular order,
Los Gurrerros
The Hardy Brothers
Edge & Christian
The Dudley Brothers
3Live Crew
LAX
The Rockers
Booker T & Chris Jericho
The Brothers of Destruction
Triple H & Stone Cold Steve Austin (I don't consider them a tag team but an alliance, but they did win the tag titles)
The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom
The Hurricane & Kane
Brian Kendrick & Paul London
America's Most Wanted

Out of that list, the top three teams imo, would have to be Edge & Christian, The Dudley's, and a tie; The Road Warriors/The Hardy's.

I don't think anyone else has listed the Outsiders. Wow. 2 of the top 3 guys in the nWo. 6 time WCW World Tag Team Champions. 1997 PWI Tag Team of the Year. Feuded with some legendary teams such as Harlem Heat and the Steiners, and the other big names in WCW at the time (e.g. Sting & The Giant, etc.). And probably no team more popular with wrestling fans during their heyday.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and The Macho Man Randy Savage) - they teamed for a whole year and their both ICONS.

But in all seriousness - The Legion of Doom has to be the greatest tag team ever, they ruled every scene they were in and they were rude and tough before it was popular. Gotta give kudos to the British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, the Rockers, Demolition, The KILLER BEES, and the more recent legendary teams like The Dudleys, Edge & Christian, the Hardys.
