I've never had a problem with the Great Khali. He is hated on by the IWC for the most absurdly unjustified reasons, and a lot of that comes from a lot of the smark-friendly reporters and insider websites who hate him because he's not an ROH-style ring technician, which is beyond fucking ridiculous.

What exactly makes him so radically different than Andre the Giant and other super heavyweights from previous eras that everyone loved? Not a damn thing. Andre was European, couldn't cut a promo worth a damn, didn't speak great English, didn't have a large arsenal of moves, and beyond his intimidating size, didn't even have much charisma. But for some reason, everyone seems to appreciate what Andre offered pro wrestling a lot more than they appreciate Khali.

Honestly, I think a lot of the Khali hate is bandwagon-driven, I doubt most of the people who bitch and moan about him would give a rat's ass if they weren't so influenced by other people's opinions. This really touches on a fundamental problem I have with the "internet era" of wrestling in general tbh. Khali is not one of my favorite wrestlers by a long shot, but I find his segments entertaining for the most part, often in completely different ways.

The Big Daddy V character was another character-type like his that I also found entertaining. I'm not gonna lie, BDV was one of my favorite segments on ECW and SD throughout his entire stay. Not once did I ever expect a great match out of him, but I liked the intimidation factor he brought. Watching him destroy jobbers was also a nice touch. They could have put the world title on him and I wouldn't have cared, because it would have worked wonders for the babyface that finally beat him. And I guarantee you, despite how utterly OVER that babyface would be after that, NO ONE would have given BDV an ounce of friggin credit for it.

I understand Khali is a novelty act, I accepted that a while ago. He's just a particularly boring novelty act.

for some reason i always saw money when i looked at big daddy v.i would have made him a cross between bundy, and abdulah he also was way more athletic than khali.even at his size khali could do powerbombs, side suplexes, belly to bellys, but all he does is the vice grip and the big chop which are lazy and fake looking.

I don't like watching Khali because he has no wrestling talent at all. Undertaker, Kane and Big Show are all a similar size to Khali yet they are all much, much better wrestlers than him. Khali is huge but he can barely move around the ring and just looks awkward when he attempts to wrestle. Hell Big Daddy V was a much better wrestler than him plus Big Daddy V had an awesome gimmick and he was also one of my favourites on ECW.

I know that WWE wants to appeal to India and so Khali is perfect for that but he can only work good matches with a select few people that can carry him to a good match. He would be better used in a tag team where he can come in and do some power moves whilst his tag team partner does all the hard work. That is why I wanted Khali and Mahal to team up since it would have been the best way to use Khali.
