Hello everyone! Yes, that's right. There's another year in the books here in the world of the Fantasy Wrestling Alliance and that means that it is time for our annual awards!
Who will take home all of the biggest prizes? Probably Dubb! Who will get fucked out of the Match of the Year award again? Probably me!
The first phase of the awards process is the nominations phase. You will all have until 29 December 2023 to send in up to three nominations for each of the categories. The top five (or more in the case of a tie) will find a place on the final ballot, where we will all then place our final votes to determine the winner of each of the 2023 FWA awards. Also, I like keeping shit from the other mods so please send all nominations and votes to ME and ME ONLY.
The eligibility period will run from 1st January 2023 to 30th December 2023. That means our upcoming Winter Wasteland event will be in consideration for the 2024 FWA awards, but promos relating to that show (if you were to vote for them) will be included in the 2023 awards cycle. The first promo cycle eligible for these awards is Meltdown XXV/ Fallout 025, and eligible promos include those posted all the way up to and including for Winter Wasteland. The pay-per-views which include eligible promos and matches are Back in Town, King of the Deathmatch II, The Grand March, Carnal Contendership, Back in Business XVII (Night One and Night Two), the 18th Anniversary Show and Lights Out.
This thread can be used for handlers and mods to offer up suggestions of their own work for consideration or to discuss what . In the past, we have suggested that you can suggest up to three of your promos with an accompanying summary of what was going on in it. Feel free to do the same for any matches you wrote, or feuds or moments that you were involved in.
Oh, and in a departure from previous years due to the informal honour system not being honoured, self-nominations and votes will not be counted. Unlucky, Oz.

Best Character:
Vote for the character that you think was the best in 2023
Best Tag Team:
Vote for the best tag team of 2023.
Best Group:

Please note that this cannot consist of a single tag team, as they have their own award. A tag team in a stable with just a manager who does not normally compete in matches (e.g. Allen Price with FTN, Epsilon with Dark Roads Alliance) should also be considered a tag team for these purposes.
Most Improved:
Vote for the handler that you think improved the most in 2023.
Best Match:
Vote for the best match write-up posted in 2023.
Best Feud:
Vote for the best feud which took place partially, or wholly, in 2023
Best Storyline/Angle:
Vote for the best storyline or angle in 2023. Please note that this is different from best feud and a feud should not be considered for this award.
Best Show:
Vote for the best show of 2023, this can include either a Pay-Per-View or a regular episode of Fallout or Meltdown.
Best Title Reign:
Vote for the best championship reign which took place wholly, or partially, in 2023.
OMG! Award:
Vote for the best moment of 2023.
Rookie of the Year:
Vote for the best new handler/character in the FWA. Anyone that debuted after 1 September 2022 is eligible for this award and please note that the handler must be new to the FWA, not the character. A new character of someone who has previously competed in the FWA as a different character will not be eligible for this award.
Return of the Year:
Vote for the best return by a character of 2023.
Non-Mod Contributor of the Year:
Vote for the user that you feel has contributed most and best overall to the FWA community during 2023 outside of the mod team, both in terms of 'the product' and out of character.
Most Handsome Mod of the Year:
Vote for the mod who is the most handsome or easiest to bribe.
