The Era of Mattitude Will Not Arrive

Matt Hardy has been becoming pretty stale of late imo. I thought it was about time to turn him heel, and revert back to the awesome V1 gimmick. I mean what is his gimmick right now? He's pretty generic.

That was all blown out the window when he was drafted to ECW. I guess he is meant to be ECW's number one or two face, possibly behind Finlay. There is no chance he will turn while on ECW.

This makes me believe that WWE has absolutely no intention of making Matt a main eventer ever. I mean, he could have been turned heel while holding a title, or been given a big face push, but instead he was shipped off to ECW. If I were Matt I wouldn't like my chances. The US Title isn't elevating him while he is on ECW.

What do you think about Matt's chances, and would you like to see him go heel?

I also want Matt to be heel now I mean he doesn't even have a gimmick right now all he has is the saying.. "I will not die" thats it pretty much, now being the main single's competition for ECW he does need a Gimmick....I mean if the main event is going to be him vs Finlay I do believe he should go heel and have a little newbie heel under his wing just like in early 2003 when he had the V1 gimmick he had Shannon Moore as his guy to help him steal matches... he should take some new guy from ECW that came out of no where and build him into something with it.

He needs to be face on ECW imo ... I wanted him to turn on SD. On ECW he has to lead the roster of faces, otherwise heels would outnumber faces greatly.

I never saw what was so great about Matt, he is just a really good extreme wrestler who would never go above Upper Mid-Card, he was never World Championship material in my eyes and now with his ECW move he won't be (Even if he wins the ECW World Title that doesn't really count because it means practically nothing). Yeah, he is a great fan favorite and all with a great moveset but he doesn't have the X-Factor that you need to be World Champion imo.

It never will arrive only time he was really a star was when he was a tag team with Jeff.

He still might turn into heel if the ECW/Smackdown talent exchange will still going on. He can turn by attacking his brother after a tag match then turn him back as Matt Hardy Version 1 with a new youtube like entrance

I dont think Matt can ever go back to heel really, lol. I mean, the only way is if he turned on Jeff, because other than that, he is just like all the fans ( a normal guy) so they wouldnt buy into him being cocky and a heel again IMO.
Anyways, I thought it was his time for the WHC last June when Edge got injured, but instead they gave it to Khali. Then after great match after great match this year, I thought it was his time, but then he went to ECW... So I think its safe to say he will never be a main eventer, and he's a midcarder. He doesnt have a super long time left (probably 5 years) but going to ecw proves they dont really want to push him.

Matt as a face on ECW is just what he needs. Eventually he will go for the ECW title, and win it. WWE will be using this to see if Matt Hardy can handle a spot in the main event. If he gets the ECW and soars with it, then expect him to move to Raw and main event there.

^^But then wouldn't John Morrison have gone to Raw and been a main eventer, since he made a great ECW Champion? Matt is getting too old to really be tested out on ECW imo. They are just moving him to ECW to show that they don't think he can main event.

But Morrison was also taken down do to his drug related susspension. Nitro had a mini feud with Cena on Raw before going to ECW

That doesn't change anything. If drug suspensions mattered, where would Randy Orton be?

And as far as Morrison's mini feud with Cena, that was before he went to ECW, so it does nothing to prove my point of Morrison wrong.

Matt Hardy is the most underrated guy in WWE! Him going to ECW will do him good because with Mark Henry most likely winning the ECW world title Matt Hardy could fight him for that (and stay face). If Matt fights for that he should beat Mark Henrys fat ass and be ECW champ to build him up, then he could move to RAW and fued with CM Punk, Randy Orton and all those big guys...That would be great
