The last draft was in 2011... everyone cried. Everyone wondered why they bothered. I mean, Christian could be champ but Orton was the only star they had... I mean they could even just throw the belt on Orton on Friday, who'll ever win it from him... They get the Corre, yay... and maybe Cody Rhodes will be a top heel because they have noone else, I mean his current gimmick was some quality... Maybe Orton will turn, who knows... geez they have so little to work with my gosh how could they even...

but then...

WHAT'S THIS DO? IT DON'T DO NOTHIN

YOU THINK THIS IS EASY? MY HEART DON'T PUMP KOOL-AID

2011 SD >>>>> 2011 Raw. (Not Punk's fault! Don't kill me!)

Who's gonna break out on SD this year, I can't wait to find out. :)

(wish they kept the women on one show tho)

Small gripes here and there are totally covered up by happiness that the brand split is back, and I hope we can all give a great big hell yeah to that!

Still don't see how people think SmackDown will be treated like a B-show while their biggest draws of the last decade+ are on their.

SmackDown could be more fun to watch than RAW.

And I also have to say this: Color me surprised if the WWE title ends up on SD and the Big Gold Belt gets resurrected and becomes RAW's main title.

You cry a lot.
I live with my mom

You've seen absolutely nothing of the product since the draft goes into affect. Try giving it a chance before throwing toys out of prams.
Wasn't talking about product just the draft overall, I was expecting more so called "magic" like the stars come out when they are announced, say a few words or something. I did say Smackdown looked royally fucked but that's how it's perceived. My toys are still here.

My theory is that WWE beefed up RAW while keeping SD near decent because they were forced by the USA network to boost ratings. The brand split would get eyes on both brands as intended but WWE's (Vince Mcmahon's primarily) interest lied more so in the flagship than it did the B-show. So yes, I think WWE is crazy enough.
Why would USA force RAW to boost their ratings? RAW is the biggest ratings draw USA has by far. It's not even a competition between RAW and the number 2 show.

The ratings have been considerably low for the show this year. I'm sure they're supposed to meet some qouta for NBC universal, let alone USA network, that they aren't meeting either consistently or at all.

I doubt Vince's losing any sleep over low ratings, since WWE has no competition.

They do meet them. By a very far margin.

USA and NBC are not worried at all about RAW's ratings. Those quotas are not up in attitude era numbers. RAW makes about 3 times what they are expected to make ratings wise. Not to mention the ad money WWE and USA network make from selling ads during RAW.

USA does not care what goes on on RAW or Smackdown or who works which show as long as it falls within the PG guidelines.

This is all Vince deciding who he wants on which show

The last thing in the world I would consider Smackdown is 'fucked.' It actually has promise because there are so many new possibilities with their roster.

We always complain about not seeing enough "new things" and complain about people being held down. Well there are plenty of guys there that we can watch develop and thrive before our eyes. I'm looking forward to it.

Now yeah probably some stuff is good with the draft, but something tells me we were all let down in some way from something. What did you not like about the draft?

I can say I am indeed fairly disappointed by the draft. However I am no surprised, WWE usually always fucks everything up in some way. Now I know some things are good about this but I can't help but notice the bad here.

-Smackdown looks fucked, I would of put Finn and the rest of the club with AJ on Smackdown, I would also put Cesaro there too.
-The Wyatt Family has also broken up with Braun on RAW, Wyatts should all be on Smackdown as well for elevation of tag teams there too.
-Kalisto should be on Raw, he is a Cruiserweight
-although I did expect it, Nia Jax, Carmella and Bliss aren't ready yet for the call up. Well Carmella is... Except they put her away from Enzo and Cass where she belongs.
-Who's idea was it to leave Bailey out? Unless it's a surprise for BG... If it's not WWE did something very wrong.
-the overall presentation of the draft was underwhelming

Maybe it's time to stop watching.

I agree the draft was bad, but your reasoning is ridiculous.. Strowman's singles push is coming on RAW, they split Carmella from Enzo and Cass months ago, you must be pretty stupid to think she would join Enzo and Cass on the main roster, if they wanted her with Enzo ad Cass they would've called her up a few months ago, even if Carmella got drafted to RAW she still wouldn't be with Enzo ad Cass.

Smackdown got the better show, it's 2 hour's with a stacked roster.. RAW is 3 hour's with a bunch of jobbers, women and Seth Rollins.

Poor Rollins and Charlotte, they have no competition anymore..

The draft was fine overall and made smackdown look great (DB will help as well). WWE isn't worried about raw ratings or smackdown ratings, they're simply doing what they always do: try to get more people watching. Stuff like the draft does help I'm sure.

More people will watch smackdown now I'm certain.

But the thing is, that they've been low compared to WWE's standard, not television or other wrestling shows.

RAW is one of the highest rated and profitable shows on TV. WWE has absolutely nothing to worry about.

Another tidbit for those who think Smackdown got the short end of the stick. Cena, Orton and Ambrose are all on Smackdown.
Cena is the biggest attendance draw WWE has ever had if you look at how long he has been on top. And Orton is a respectable draw. Ambrose is the Shield guy who is the best draw when put on top during house show tours. Then you have AJ Styles to add to the mix.
