Ok so I made a while ago back in February a thread about the Big Show and if he accomplished a lot more then given credit for in the past decade he has been with the WWF as of February 1999.

Recently I have been thinking that lots of people debuted in 1999 and have been to the top, such as the Big Show, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and a few others that I am going to mention. Which do you think in the decade has had more of an impact in the WWE/F and or has given us more memorable moments in those ten years.

1. Eddie Guerrero - Even though he never lasted the ten years RIP as of 2005 but he has given as a lot of things to remember him by since his debut in the radicals in 1999 with Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn. He has given us classic Lo's Guerrero's Vintages, hillarious promo's and match moments with lying cheating and stealing and he has beaten the best in the ring including Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar (to win his first championship to headline wrestle mania) and many more. He has also been the holder of nearly every championship available in the WWF/E at the time of his career run holding the WWE tag team titles, US title, WWE Title, Intercontinental title, Cuirserweight title (in WCW) Basically everything except the World Heavyweight title. Is he the debut of the decade for you?

2. Chris Benoit - Much like Guerrero these two debuted on the same night on Monday Night Raw in late 99' in the middle of a storyline between Mick Foley and Triple H as the Radicals. Chris went on to win himself the World Championship, tag team championships, Intercontinental Championships, United States Championships and even winning himself a Royal Rumble match from start till finish. He has beaten the best of the best, making Triple H submit at Wrestle Mania XX which was a memorable moment. Chris though in his storied career ended it with a contraversial family finish that tarnished his history when the WWE removed him from any form of results, is he your pick?

3. Chris Jericho - Chris Jericho has gone from heel to face from face to heel and back around the world again, this man has done a hell of a lot in his ten years with the company even with the long break between 2005 until late 2007. He has headlined Wrestle Mania, much like Eddie and Chris have won every title there is to hold in the WWE available, even holding the Intercontinental Championship for a record eight times. And he was even the first ever Undisputed Champion beating the Rock and Stone Cold in the same night to do so.

Chris Jericho has given us countless classic promo moments, hosting the Highlight Reel including match moments with one that I remember very well as a kid when he teamed up with his tag team partner Chris Benoit on Smackdown to defend the tag titles against the Hardyz, Dudleys and Edge and Christian in a TLC Fatal Four way match. Still my favorite Smackdown match of all time and he even had Edge on the top of the ladders in a Walls of Jericho.

3. Kurt Angle - Kurt Angle debuted on Sunday Night Heat during a promo with Tiger Ali Sign (spelling) and he called the home town kid Kurt Angle out and said that all americans are the same and will do anything for money, he even told the Olympic Gold Medalist for $500 (I think it was) to wipe his nose on the American flag that he brought down to ringside instead Kurt Angle laid Tiger out in the middle of the ring and that began his career in the WWF.

He has also done a lot during his 8 years with the comapny before moving over to TNA, he has headlined Wrestle Mania with Eddie Guerrero even head lining all four big PPV's (Summerslam, WM, SSeries and RR) At seperate times. He was the first ever and only Olympic Gold Medalist in the WWE (even though they claim that Mark Henry is the World Strongest man, he would have had to win at the Olympics to claim that prize so either Mark isn't or Kurt isn't the only Gold Medalist whilst Iron Sheik apparently has been in the Olympics himself.... bit of general knowledge for you guys) Kurt Angle has been at the top of Smackdown being the champion, been at the top of Raw and ECW before moving to TNA. Is he the greatest thing and most sucsessful man to debut one decade ago?

4. The Big Show - The 500 pound monster has done a lot, winning the WWE Championship before including coming second in two seperate Royal Rumble's in 2000 to the Rock and in 2004 to Chris Benoit. The Big Show has also been tag team champion and US Champion before while been in arguably the biggest storyline of the decade the WWf vs. Alliance storyline with Kurt Angle and others. The Big Show has also put over his fair share of talent over the years giving John Cena his first title and his frst win at Wrestle Mania and others. Is the Big Show the it man in your mind?

I am going to cast my vote a bit later as I am sure there are a few others such as the Hardys, E&C, Gangrel (not sure I think) & the Dudley Boys who debuted on Raw during a Rock and Foley promo (I may be wrong about this that's why I am not going into detail with them as number five as I need to do a bit of reading up on that one.) But still vote for who you think is the best thing to come out of 1999 and make the most sucsessful and most impactful, memorable ten years on the WWE/F, and why.

This isn't a 'Debut of the Decade' thread because that would be the best debut in the past decade. This is just a 'Who's Been the Most Successful Who Debuted in 1999?'.

To me, it's Kurt Angle. He's done a shitload in the business, multiple World Championship reigns in both companies, great matches, great feuds, great promos. A great and a future Hall of Famer.

EDIT: If I had to go by favorites though, Chris Jericho. He's one of my top favorites, possibly third.

Obviously, Kurt Angle.

He has pretty much established himself as being a wrestling legend today, very few guys can do that in such a short span of time. He is a fantastic in-ring performer, multiple time Champion, has some classic moments and promo's.

What else do you want?

Definitely the most successful Superstar who Debuted in 1999.

Hmm... Kurt's craptacular antics in TNA have soured it a bit for me. I'd have to go Jericho after that.

I remembered Ric Flair's debut in WWF when I watched his DVD... and I say this is one of the most shocking debuts during that time when he arrived WWF with the NWA title... (or maybe its just me >_>)

Got to go for Angle. He turned up as a virtual unknown and proceeded to become one of the best heels in the company within a year, not to mention one of the best out-and-out wrestlers. Benoit and Guerrero were impressive, but they didn't have an impact nearly as quickly as Angle.

How the hell doesn't this have THE milenium man, Chris Jericho? If you wanna talk about people who debuted in the Fed in '99, it's gotta be Jericho. Nobody else from the list had his charisma, and mic skills. All of them, barring Show, had just as good matches as him, but Jericho had the mic skills which were better than all of them which puts him over the top. Not to mention his accomplishments were probably the greatest.
I voted other for him.

Just by him debuting and interrupting The Rock during his promo made it even greater because the hype around his debut was so BANANAS with also the fact that he was really an unknown by a average wrestling fan's standards. His back and forth promo with The Rock was so damn great on his show debut. After that, his status in the WWE was set as it didn't take long for him to get to the top.

But it's up in the air between Jericho and Angle though.

Mike that was my mistake I had failed with the poll. If someone with high power can put that in like a Super mod or an Admin would be great.

This is the second thread in the past few days that hasn't made any sense. The poll and the title of the thread are saying two different things. It's also quite confusing because from the title, it seems like you are talking about their actual debut, and not what they did in the last decade. Also, I kind of skimmed through everyone's post, so I'm not sure if this has already been said. If this is about wrestlers that debuted in 99, why are Guerrero and Benoit on the list? They debuted in early 2000.

Anyways, to answer who has been the best out of the guys that debuted in 99, I would have to say Angle. He was consistently near the top for pretty much his entire reign in the WWE. He is closely followed by Jericho and Big Show.
